By the way could anyone reshape the LEAF logo with a bit of good taste. A more clean and contemporary logo would be very welcome. This logo is ultra cheap, seriously. Get ready for an incoming dump from hashcows on the exchange. I would recommend that the exchange look for a mass deposit/sell of somewhere in the region of 40m coins per 24 hours and IP ban the depositor. Multipools kill the value of all ALTs eventually. Nothing manages to achieve any decent value due to the mindless pricks that use these multipools. 0.007 btc a day per MHs is it now the multipools are on, will look to mine something else now the multipool tossers have arrived.

You could always make it so it says say a hours transactions in one send, rather than sending instant. Wouldn't be much of a code change either.
I could do that as a temporarily solution. But this does need to get fixed if we want to move forward as a community with a bug free client/wallet. (still not sure if this is an actual bug though) imperative... i should go to sleep... i know... but can you zipup your debug.log and send it to leafcoincrypto@gmail.com / put it for download and pm me the link. i will have a look at it if i can find something out of the ordinary thanks |

http://leafcoin-faucet.majorminer.co.uk/ FAUCET UPDATE: Now working againI was message by a couple of people telling me there was a problem with payouts, it turns out the wallet wasn't sending the payments to the blockchain for the last 2 days. I have replaced the wallet file and it is now working again. I've put the old wallet on another PC and it's slowly processing the backlog, so you should get them over the next few days. Odd, I am having the exact same issue. Perhaps there's a bug in the wallet itself that acts up when a lot of transactions are going through at the same time. I guess the dev should have a look at this. if you keep having problems with this... pm me and i will try to figure out a solution to this. i had same issue with many transactions during last giveaway... it eventually came through. have noted it down as an issue to monitor/check deeper. try aaron's solution. contact me if you keep having problems. thanks. Can we expect that leaf will hit cryptsy before usde due to many times higher volume?
as we have seen with other coins... cryptsy takes quite long to implement a coin. also, the community has decided that they dont want it on yet. if cryptsy listens to the community of leaf.. then they shouldnt implement this too soon. |

That site has ridiculous conversion rate, almost 1/6 of real value... Look at doge: 50 EUR (which is 68 dollars) -> 12232 DOGE... which, at current exchange rate, is 0.0224 BTC, which in turn is around 18 dollars. That site is a fucking scam, I understand the higher fees for trading directly into FIAT, but 68 Dollars for an amount worth 18, that's more than 50 dollars of fees. Unacceptable! Don't allow LEAF on such a thief exchange! Yeah; THAT site has nothing to do with any type of exchange or service. It's actually a one guy selling coins for himself, so getting THERE is nothing like achievement for a coin, imho. i gotta say mcg.. a hell of a community you have given root to here. these guys are really looking out for LEAF. ok thanks going to contact them EDIT: contacted them and asked for an official response. OK, I have an idea that might make it unique and more known to people outside the ’miners bubble’. The idea of a foundation has already been brought up. But what if we combined this with a fiat to LEAF exchange? BuyLEAFs.comDev set up an address to which all of us can donate LEAF. Why donate? To spread the LEAFs over the world! That will increase the outside interest in the coin and push the exchange rates up which make it a good investment. Maybe the pools agree to donate 1%? The donated coins can be bought with a credit card. Regular people can buy their own LEAFs really easy! The rate will be set by exchange rates (LEAF->BTC->fiat) and some extra fee will be added in order to pay for a payment service and other expenses. Why buy LEAFs when you can buy bitcoins, send them to an exchange and exchange them for LEAF? Because regular people think this is too tedious and they might not see the reason to either. The fiat will be donatedWhy buy LEAFs in the first place? Here’s the kicker: The money spent buying LEAFs will get into the LEAF foundation that distribute the money to some rain forest foundation! I really like the idea some person came up with earlier, that you will get a picture of the rain forest you’re saving. Result- It’s easy for regular people to get LEAFs - Their money spent will save the rain forest. Their LEAFs will be a proof of their environmental awareness. They can show their support on social media and print a card that you can give as a christmas/birthday present. - The foundation will receive fiat right away. That’s a good thing since the rain forest foundation we’ll donate to will not accept cryptocurrency. - LEAF will be more accepted. What if we could get some charity online shop like http://therainforestsite.greatergood.com/ to accept LEAF as payment? They’ll know that (most) of the LEAFs spent there has been bought for money donated to a rain forest foundation in the first place! - Media attention! There are some legal issues to consider: -Is it possible to start a site that accept credit card payments? I don’t think that that will be a problem though, from a legal point of view this is a site where people can donate money for a rain forest foundation and get something ‘symbolic’ in return! -Is LEAFs the correct term? can you copy-pm to me? |
