Bitstamp experienced explosive growth as well, but it did not result in a breakdown in the system.  Look through this thread and see how many people have issues with them.  Also in a business like trading liquid assets that continuously vary in price, there has to be a higher standard.  It's nice that they fix problems after they occur, but sometimes this means the customer loses money.  With so many complaints about failed orders and failed bitcoin deposits it might be time for them to address some of these issues publicly.  Or they could just follow the lead of Mtgox- do nothing and say nothing.  Let another exchange step up and take their business away.

Over 50 confirmations and still my bitcoin is not there.  What a farce of a company.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptsy- really does it suck? on: December 07, 2013, 08:36:24 AM
NO, it doesn't suck.

That's odd; I am actually thinking that it does.

What is up with Cryptsy.com that after 9 confirmations the bitcoins still don't show up in my account?  I mean, this shit is automated, right- there aren't little people inside the website writing my balances on a chalkboard.

How about a list of all altcoins by confirmation times?
646  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Ufasoft Coin - Multi-currency Open Source client for Windows on: December 06, 2013, 09:57:25 AM
Maybe some people want to use Ufasoft client with linux!  Ya think?
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 06, 2013, 09:55:42 AM
1. Ditch the graphs on the right side!  This would allow users to see a lot more coins at once- the top ten and then some- even on a modest laptop.

2. Profit!

Hey!  I have an idea!  How about giving us an option to disable the graphs on the right?  It would mean letting us display a ton more data!
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At just $1, QUARK will be #3 on the planet on: December 04, 2013, 01:02:00 PM
245 million is an obscene number of coins.  where is the value?  how many times has their block explorer gone down?  why would anyone want to buy in at this point AT ANY PRICE?

Any Linux support in the works for this client?  I'd love to use it!
652  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet supporting multiple currencies on: December 04, 2013, 08:08:12 AM
There's Ufasoft Coin. No FTC, though.

Ufasoft looks cool but only for Windows?
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: December 04, 2013, 07:13:08 AM
I wish there was a way to disable the graphs on the right.  They take up a lot of vertical space, and without them I could see the top 10 coins on one screen.  I would LOVE this!
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At just $1, QUARK will be #3 on the planet on: December 04, 2013, 06:51:57 AM
Of course Quark was pre-mined; there are 245 million of them!  LOL.  Who are the people falling for this ridiculous scamcoin?  Go down the list on coinmarketcap.com and pay attention to the number of coins available for each one.  Quark has 245 million?  REALLY?  What a massive fail.
655  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wallet supporting multiple currencies on: December 01, 2013, 12:25:44 PM
I want a good wallet for the top 10 currencies.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Trades 58k btc rest of the World 34k on: October 27, 2013, 10:15:13 PM
The problem of supply and demand of bitcoins can be solved with Fractional Reserve Banking. With 1% margin requirement on bitcoin banks we would have the potential of 2.1 billion bitcoin notes (IOU) issued by banks.

Fractional reserve banking can solve any problem.  Ahem.
