but is there any way to set the miner to pick those really low fee transactions?
If your solo mining you can set your Bitcoin client to accept whatever transactions you want. If your mining on a pool then its up to the pool op.

current value 2500 USD if we get a block with 10 coins in it profit= 25000 USD
A block currently mints 12.5 new Bitcoins. Transaction fees are way down now that the blockchain spamming seems to have subsided.

So far so good with Coinbase. But they will temporarily stop accepting deposit on Aug 1 and I am not sure when it will resume. I just wonder where the rejected payout goes.
I have no idea where it goes. But if your going to change your payout address you should do it soon. Kano payouts go to the address of record when that block was found and not necessarily the address you changed to. So there could be some lag after the address switch.

Hello -CK may we ask if I'll start to this one do i need a miner(Hardware I mean) or just my computer/laptop?
That's a noob question kindly answer..
Thanks,
From the Top Post This is the official thread for support and development of cgminer, the ASIC bitcoin miner ... There is NO SUPPORT for CPU, GPU or altcoin mining in this thread, nor older versions with that functionality, nor any support for unofficial forks of this code.
|
|
|
You need to post in the altcoin section.

He updated it 3 posts above your first message.

Hello Kano,
Have you considered to change the payout to once daily scheme
Look a few post's back. Kano posted an update on his future plans for the pool. I think you'll like it.

|

So my questions are:
Can I still use Coinbase address for Kano since bitcoin transaction will be temporarily suspended? Coinbase will temporarily suspend all bitcoin transactions. When will it resume?
Thanks for your answers!
Seems to me you should be asking Coinbase these questions.

Your in the Bitcoin section. You need to post in the alt-coin section.

Don't encourage people to CPU mine Bitcoin.
These threads are littered with people trying to CPU/GPU mine Bitcoin and it's a waste of time, energy and effort.
CPU mining was obsolete in 2011 and GPU mining was obsolete in 2013.
If you want to play, get a USB block Erupter, it will waste only 2.5 watts instead of 200 Watts for CPU mining and 400 Watts for GPU mining. Still worthless for mining though.

You can't mine Bitcoin with GPU's. So you need to post in the alt coin section.

I think video cards are not supported anymore in latest cgminer.
No need to think about it. Video Cards have not been supported for years now. Please read the top post, or the readme that comes with the software.

I'm scratching my head a little here I wonder if anyone can help?
I got a couple of USB miners to tinker around and get my head around things before I invest more.
What USB Miner do you have? What Operating System are you using?
|
|

GUI Miner is a very old GPU mining program. Most Bitcoin pools block CPU/GPU miners now.
GPU mining became impossible in 2012/13.

a simple block scale of 2x long overdue is all that should have been done with an agreement to revisit as scaling is needed.
Why not have block size scale like difficulty does? Also what is the true block size maximum?
|
|
|
Do you actually believe that? The conservative blocksize increase which Core have been a major proponent of have been good to miners. How much are you making in fees these days? It is unfathomable to me how miners favor anything but conservative blocksize increases. I mean you have no idea whats good for you. And if you want war you will get it, just keep in mind you are the ones with the most to lose.
A block size increase and SegWit are two different things. SegWit DOES NOT increase the block size. The block size increase is be held hostage and SegWit is the ransom demand. How old are you?

I am trying to look for a good miner application or tool that I can use to earn bit coin.
What Bitcoin mining application you need to use will depend, somewhat, on which Bitcoin Miner you have. So, what ASIC mining hardware do you have?

As to contacting Eleuthria, is there a BTC Guild forum that is not closed?
I also suggested PM'ing him. PM means personal or private message. So just PM his account name.
