What part of, Darkcoin has real world utility, and thus actual value, potentially to us all, do you not understand? Comparing it to shitcoins is obtuse. I was comparing the market movement. And only an idiot will ignore that. We've all been on these trains before. When vert coin was pumped to 10 bucks, everyone said the same thing. ASIC utility proof. In the end it deflated when the buy walls vanished. I am not saying it will happen with DRK. I am saying it is a possibility. Market patterns repeat themselves. Dark coin is currently an asset and not yet money. Don't bury your head in the sand and claim it is the second coming when its main features are not yet online. And yes, don't act like a twunt because you jumped the bad wagon. Scroll back to February. I've been follwoing the progress of the coin and defending the coin so understand that I am not a troll. Same thing. "Look at the rise of Google stocks, Vertcoin increased like that so it's probably a pump and dump !" Mate, I've been here from almost the beginning. If there is one thing I'll tell you honestly, it's that the coin is being pumped. That is the truth. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is lying to you.
I have quite a bit of DRK and I've made some money off it. Just don't listen to people speaking good tidings. This is reminiscent of the vertcoin pump in february. Don't get caught in all the hoopla.
What's surprising is the sensible regulars who I thought wouldn't get caught up in the "to the moon" craze are also cheering people on in this pump.
Comparing Darkcoin to Vertcoin... their only common point is the suffix "coin". You claim since the 15th of this month that it's a pump so I suppose that you already dumped all you had @ 0.013-0.014... Come on guys. Even the long termers here are claiming its not a pump? really? can you not remember black coin? those weird walls are stable pump and dump signs. ride the waves but don't get greedy. it always happens.

Oke let's see. I'm holding my btc for months now (before Doge, nice community, but i'm not into crypto to lose money but to save money). So DRK appeared on my radar a few weeks ago (still kicking myself from not bying) and I purchased a decent amount a couple a days ago.
My only concern is: why wouldn't it crash like ALL the other altcoins did, that's the only reason why i'm not really into altcoins and was/am a big bitcoinbeliever. But I could really see Bitcoin as the big brother and DRK as the anonymous little brother.
I really love the concept of DRK but I'm just concerned about the fact that all the other altcoins have been pumped and dumped.
Could someone convince me to HODL! or even buy more...
In one word, innovation. Darkcoin is bringing a lot on table (DGW, DarkSend, Masternodes, etc.), when some other crytocurrencies are all about design and total coins supply. |

Darkcoin essentially makes the AML kyc compliance obsolete, because once "Darksend is used the money trail is gone". So I can open acc with legit docs, transfer fiat and then purchase any crypto and then buy Darkcoin and use Darksend and the money trail is broken. You think any government is gonna say, OK we will allow that?? The swiss banks were doing all kinds of elaborate tricks to launder/hide money, you think now that anyone with the push of a few clicks can make large amount of cash untraceable will be allowed to flourish??? Any exchange,any individual, any entity that is facilitating these types of transactions will be deemed a terrorist organization or enemy of the state. Anyone who is under the delusion that Darkcoin in it's current state will be allowed to flourish is delusional. Once the governments get involved things will change very quickly. Right now people are having all kinds of pie in the sky ideas about Darkcoin because there is a lot of euphoria around the price rising and all that, but I think the governments will move quickly and make any kind of blockchain obfuscation illegal. It is only a matter of time. Either that or anyone running a masternode or participating in any anon crypto will be branded an enemy of the state. I really hope I am wrong, but I have a nagging feeling that is the way things are going to turn out. I think Darkcoin is great for anonymity stuff, but wider acceptance by public and businesses will never happen unfortunately.
We already have a wine shop accepting it. With proper marketing and brand positioning, mass adoption ala Bitcoin is not an insurmountable obstacle. There has already been something said about this by the US Government. They understand the need for financial privacy. The interaction with crypto and fiat is going to be regulated. that is the point where they care and will ask for ID from those using exchanges. Your argument is old and invalid. That's the whole point of the decentralization, a government can't do a thing, we are all over the world. Moreover, on what basis ? The right of privacy is a human right recognized in the Declaration of Human Rights. Private != illegal. When you are in your home do you necessarily hide from the autorities ? |

for the CPU i use minerd (on the darkcoinwebsite) without any additional arguments. there is some room for improvement, but i need to be able to work on the computer at the same time. How many threads does default use? Doe sit use all of them? I dont know if it allways uses all of them. But i tested it on a i7 and a i5, and it used all of them. if you are able and want to go serious you should think about using your GPU, if not (like in my case [not able - I need a special GPU-setup to keep my realtime-rendering thingy going]) CPU is still pretty, and easy to set up. Yeah right now I am running on 2x R7 265s and HD 5850 and would like to figure out if I can mine on my 780Ti |

So I sent a payment to my Mintpal address using the old wallet (v. 0.9.1.2), and the payment is showing up on Mintpal or on the blockchain. It's been over an hour, so I just want to know if there is some sort of bug in the old wallet. The transaction id is 5d44dbf3e5953c02e844f09399e3b277113919f7496fff60427456b01394988f. Anyone have an issue like this before?

I was under the impression that they have done a very good job in getting exposure and new people into cryptos. Having the tech and innovations is only half the battle. Arguable.
