641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for my fellow Newbie on: December 16, 2023, 02:17:06 PM
I want to believe that you will show us all your learned topics from this day. Teaching someone how to behave on a forum without showing them an example is not entirely correct behavior.
In any case, don't take criticism too seriously, but stay true to your study idea.
I really hope the user centers his or her focus on how to handle criticism though because, if the user is to go by the expectation mounted on him or her by virtue of prior statement as per learned and commenting, such user might find a hard way ever writing anymore, not even to asking questions that ponders on the mind for a long time.

Still, I’ll like Newbies and the rest of us to understand that, learning is continuous, it’s all true life and even concepts could be wrong, updated or corrected as new information pops up and anyone could teach so, don’t get scared to go on your keypad and show us just what you’ve learnt or discovered.

It’s always a beauty when some of these beginners try not to be so focused on hateful of the ranked users on the forum for not showering them with merits. I’ll say, that’s just some means to remind everyone that merits are deserving and not given just uplift the low rank users on the forum.

him. Anyway,

No, you must have 3 defenders at all time. So no way Solanke covers your defenders.
That’s quite a clarification of what has befallen me but,
I don’t see how I would have wanted or done much to offset that. Have a free transfer but, taking them out only to bing them back after a game week don’t seem like my biggest points. I could manage a zero on them this game week.

Super busy this week, did not have any time to check up the news. What is up with Haaland? Is it confirmed he misses the game this week?
Probably too late but, Haaland might not be featuring in the on going GW18. He’s would be fairly recovered from injury, Manchester City is involved in a club World Cup admits other competitions that would require the optimum health status of all them players and as such, Pep would t want to risk it on Crystal Palace. I’m hoping he would have Alvarez though but, it’s not promising. Either way, Solanke might just be useful and facing Luton town from a home, a goal isn’t way up his head to fill in, in the event that Alvarez does blank.
643  Economy / Economics / Re: Which do you prefer on: December 15, 2023, 11:21:32 PM
My question is guys which do you prefer, a steady monthly salary which you know that no matter what, it must come once the month ends or a business/ trading/ any other thing which you can do that you earn base on performance and you have the capacity to earn ten fold of what a civil servants might earn if you are good at it, but there is also a possibility that you may have a bad day in the office which you may even incurred some loss.

Which do you prefer an why.
Why would you prefer to settle for a more regular pay grade within a defined period when you can make so much within or short time of not?
I get it that there are those who don’t like to take risk, don’t like to put themselves in the line but, what’s the fun in that? What life when you don’t get to take risks every now and then?
Life itself is a big risk and as such, you ought to seek out opportunities to keep you out of the rat race.

You’re not growing when your life revolve around a scheme, a scheme designed by the government to ensure your growth is stampeded and determinant on what you’re being offered.

I can never settle for any salary in the world. I’ll rather be in the business of taking that salary to invest in some other business that could earn me some good numbers as well. That’s where the money is, what you can do for yourself.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $40k Price Target Achieved on: December 15, 2023, 11:15:04 PM
If you all are not sure about my Final Bitcoin Bull Run price target, it's $173,566 Before November, 2025. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5463885.msg62722173#msg62722173)
Time to buy as much Bitcoin you can buy and just HODL.
It’s not uncommon that Bitcoin price action charts have been able to do unbelievable numbers, numbers that one wouldn’t even think of and all of a sudden, you could find price there at the least expected time interval.
Unfortunately, we might not always expect price to move with so much momentum like you’ve speculated in OP. $173,566 seems like a lot of numbers. That’s at least, twice the ATH with some digits to add.
In 2 years, it seems like a good enough time and I can’t really get an analysis to prove anything of my speculation but, I think Bitcoin will not have a lot of momentum to pump at some point.
645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in your country. on: December 15, 2023, 11:08:55 PM
Bitcoin can never be government friendly because its decentralised but thankfully with ETF approval this might not be the case anymore.

In my country many people are using Bitcoin as their gateway to financial freedom, they are not all long term holders, they just want to make money and change their lives, there was a ban but not anymore, still I like using P2P because of tomorrow.
Never say never!
It’s hard to be in full acceptance of what you don’t fully understand or can’t fully utilize for your own benefit, neither is it easy to be arms open to an innovation that goes against what you stand for (Centralization as against Decentralization). It’s also hard to accept what started mainly as a revolution against the government; at least, that’s how most of the government of our world see it.

But, if they could see through the eyes of the government of El-Salvador, then you just might be able to see a little light at the end of the tunnel.

From your comment,
It was banned, now it’s not banned anymore. What does that tell you? It’s a step forward to acceptance I would say.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 15, 2023, 10:24:41 PM
Ange Postecoglou slightly changed their strategy for attack and it was proven against Newcastle they were able to win with this strategy and put Son on my left while Richarlison as a center forward with his place there Richarlison now always scores goals for Tottenham.
Apparently, I don’t know where your left is so, you just might want to straighten that up, lol…

Anyway, with Spurs being more attacking, you can expect them to come up with some positive results but, I don’t know why the manager at times seems to depend on playing the high line as some sort of a defensive strategy when they’ve got some safe goal, like 1-2 goals and in times of a red card situation.

He really ought to know that in cases of a break out, they could easily be caught behind and the goal keeper would be left in real trouble. Playing the high line only takes just a little hack and your opposition have got the idea of what needs to be done and most times, they archive that. Chelsea did and they were just lucky Nottingham Forest couldn’t manage it today.
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 15, 2023, 07:18:15 PM
The gunners have been decent no arguments, they have just been affected by injuries and lack of consistency within the Premier League.
Last weekend against Aston Villa they needed energy in midfied to stop Unai Emery amf his men from operating in midfied. Declan Rice was present but was not able to do the work alone in that midfied. Thomas Partey would have been a better pair in that game bit he was absent. They would be having him back this weekend against Brighton and I'm sure they'll win.

Liverpool are also progressing unlike last season, Klopp made some good signatures but they still lack a good defender to complement Virgil or Konate. Without that they cannot win the Premier League.
That’s where the team depth doesn’t become an excuse to stay at the top. They’ve got injury problems yes but then, to be at the top, you don’t always have to rely on your first team to guarantee that league trophy security, especially when you’ve got other competitions like the UCL to contest in.
Apparently, Arsenal are very much in the contest still but, they need to conquer the issue of team depth.

Liverpool will once again extend their lead in the group as. I don’t see how Nottingham Forest would be defiant against this squad that was able to humble Newcastle United in a mean way from over the weekend. It’s going to be a feast tonight for Liverpool.
648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 14, 2023, 11:40:46 PM

Liverpool has strong games coming which they should be prepared for, against Manchester United then against Arsenal. Those two games will determine if Liverpool will remain in top of the table or not, I bet that is the reason behind the coach resting some major players in his team like Mo Salah. After Manchester United, Arsenal will be ready because they have a great team news about the return of Thomas Partey who is an important player for Arsenal especially against other big teams because of his versatility.
Manchester United have been good while facing most of the mid tier teams but, when you compare their performance with a more elite and inform team, you could easily find them loosing. A more coordinated team can easily triumph in a game against Manchester United and that’s why I think, Liverpool could find it easy with Manchester United. Manchester United isn’t a team in form, I can say the same for Liverpool but, they are a more better option between them both. Liverpool could be such goal getters when they turn the pressure on and they’ve got a squad for it.

Where it becomes more challenging for them is when they face Arsenal. It would be a game to watch for sure buy, I’m sure Liverpool would find such hard times with Arsenal. Hope Arteta would be there to manage the team though.
649  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does technical analysis work in crypto trading? on: December 14, 2023, 11:32:34 PM
For all my 5 months in trading, I'm learning only technical analysis but now everyone is talking about the concept of "Smart Money". So I think that trading is changing and speculators should stop trading based on technical analysis. Or smart money just a concept that cannot possibly work in the market,
The trading environment (market) isn’t controlled or traded by a single strategy neither do you approach your analysis with just technical or fundamental analysis only. You just might need both and with the other serving as some confirmer of the other. Just like some of the combine use of indicators.
The market continues undergo certain changes which remains unpredictable on analysis that works or strategies. You just do your most to ensure your not guessing on entry and exit points, learn from your mistakes and wins in the same way.

If you are generating your own seed phrases, stamping into metal, and storing it somewhere safe, you have the highest level of security that an average person can reasonably have.
As far as storing things in a safe lace goes, getting to stamp your seed phrase on metals and all that, it doesn’t really seem like the best of ideas to security for me. Yeah, it might ensure that it never gets lost, washed up, have some wear and tear taking it’s strolls on it but, you might end up presenting it’s importance to just anyone that could come across it at first glance. That’s in the event of any invading of your safe spot of course.

I think some of the ideas to making something relatively safe is by making it as common as it would seem to anyone. In a way, it could be something that would be less attractive and can be handled anyone by someone who wouldn’t even know the value attached to that which is before them on in their possession.
This doesn’t mean you don’t keep it in a safe place, of course you would put it away in some place safe but, I don’t think you have to make it look so important.

Okay, it’s just hours to the end of the transfer season and I’m becoming concerned about the suspension of some of my players. As it is on current standing, I’ve lost K. Trippier and J. Branthwaites and C. Taylor all to suspension. Luckily, I’ve still got Kabore who just returned from injury although, his been some of the worst player on my team so, I’m sure of zero points from him. Anyway, I’m a man short on my defense based on the suspensions and I don’t see a replacement in the market just yet but, any chance at the end of the week, should Solanke get any point, he gets to fill in for any number on my missing eleven men? Even if it’s from the defense.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 13, 2023, 11:42:26 PM
I am not one to hate Sevilla, they are a cute team and they keep winning europa so they are a successful team as well, but at the same time I am sick and tired of them winning it, I like to see other teams try. Surely we all are aware that Liverpool is miles better, but for some reason, Sevilla manages to beat whoever they face, doesn't matter how big or small, not every year of course but they are always a danger. With them out, that means other teams could try to beat each other fair and square and it wouldn't be a boring season of Sevilla just getting another one.
Lol,,, something that makes the bundesliga a boring watch sometimes, no offense to the Germans here but, it’s often less intense when you can almost with all certainty predict who would win the league (Bayern) through every season and most games. Although, we’ve had some really challenging teams like Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and a few others but, the Bayern dominance is just much.
So yeah, based on that, I get your point. I didn’t really view the Sevilla game though but,

Antwerp 3:2 Barcelona, that was fired up. Antwerp so much wanted to show the home fans that they could do it, their defense was tightly coordinated and proved very difficult to penetrate. I did feel Zavi was confused judging by the many substitutes he made just to search for that but of luck but, luck ran out on them with that plus minutes goal and Antwerp got all 3points of the game. It was just a well deserved win for the home side.

What’s the population of unemployed youths in Nigeria and what the population of Nigerians here on the forum?
Like, why did you have to pick Nigeria if I may?
What’s the statistics to prove anything if anything?
What makes you think Nigeria is really a low income country?

Perhaps corruption might have got the best of the Nigerian government but, Nigeria isn’t a low income country. If you’re truly a Nigerian, yeah I might understand that there are poor ones in the nation as it is in every nation but. The taste of life that is enjoyed by many in Nigeria is found no where in the world.

Nigerians are that lucrative to create wealth and source of income for themselves out of anything.

I am not very much taking to this post so you might forgive me but, don’t make my people feel as though, we are just here for the grabs. Nigerians do the most to not be left out in a growing new world order.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Young student teaching his classmates about Bitcoin on: December 13, 2023, 11:23:42 PM
This is a step for the kid towards many more courses in the cryptospace. I wouldn’t urge him to jump at anything but rather, work at his own pace and based on what he could easily comprehend. Having a fascination about Bitcoin from the age of nine and taking it up for a science project and there school’s administration allowing him to have a go at it with his peers is truly admirable and such a good effort to ensure kids aren’t kept away from a technology of now.

It’s important to note that, this development arose based on how the child perceived his environment. Children naturally mimic their parents and guardians in their space and a such, it’s important that, if you want your kids to partake in the technology of their future, you don’t keep them away from it. Expose them to it but, never put them to it. Let them have an interest in it and the length they will be willing to go will surprise you.
655  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you start a particular journey matters a lot. on: December 13, 2023, 11:13:57 PM

Having to sell an assert to invest in some other capital intensive investment isn’t such a bad choice and isn’t the best choice either as, asserts are something worth having to stick around for a long while except, it’s a type that isn’t adding any value to itself then, it wouldn’t be such a bad idea to monetize it to invest its funds in something that could have more value in time.

This is entirely different from having to take investment loans. Loans simply carry a pay back policy and in most cases, it’s got a period to it and attracts profit. Loans means a third party and with that comes some sort of pressure that requires you to at all times, make the right decision. Anything outside what is the right decision would mean, your steps away from not fulfilling your loan promises and can end badly for you and the investment.

Now that’s a whole lot of pressure and being pressured alone don’t put you in a very good spot for making good decisions.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: December 13, 2023, 11:04:28 PM

He'll probably miss 3 of them - Bournemouth, Chelsea and Arsenal.

That's a lot of points you're leaving on the table. I know I'll transfer him out for sure after the Newcastle game.
Something I sure didn’t consider until now that you’ve laid it bare. Surely I’ll be looking to get him out to enable him help bankroll my bringing E. Haaland in. It’s not a probable course but something that is bound to be the case with home being the captain of his Egyptian side.

there is not much value in players valued 8M+ compared to players valued at 6M+, if you choose right
Apparently but, I’ve got a couple of choices I’ve been looking at for my midfield, one of those was Gordon which I’ve got and Hee Chan of Wolves @ just $5.8 which remains in view. Perhaps the Salah weeks out could provide the vacuum for him to come in but all that depends on if there is about enough to get Haaland and himself. I think Hee Chan is doing okay for his price.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [banned mixer] 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: December 12, 2023, 10:49:34 PM
That's my issue with Salah. I'll probably sell him when he goes to AFCON and I'll have a problem when I'll want to rebuy him again.
Should you happen to execute that plan, I feel it would be a bad idea. Salah has been phenomenal all season, probably the most informed player at his level right now and haven’t had a probable course to not have him.

Haaland's out of my team, now I wait for the news that he's actually fit to play vs CP. Anyway, I still prefer Watkins over the next few games.
Feels weird to have almost 6 mil in the bank, but that's the only way if you want Haaland back.
It almost seem as though, we approach our team management in same way and are affected by it as well. Can’t believe I just got Taylor in from Aston Villa to fill in for Gusto who has been ruled out for the rest of the year, still looking out how to gradually manage my free transfer to get a credible bankroll such as yours to enable me get back Haaland but, it appears I’ll be a week behind again as Taylor just got suspend till 23rd, still looking if it would be a best idea to sell him.
Branthwaite and Trippier are facing same suspension issues till 23rd. Like, what’s become of my defense! Only Pedro Porro happens to be left. I might have to see this one out with the FPL, maybe they would give me Solanke, lol…

If you look critically at the judicial arm of government of this we country, you go lose hope because, no promise of better Dey evident in the system.

The law don tell you say, it’s interpretation at that time of the proceedings/judgement, na watin the law bee be that. It creates room for manipulation of the law and the judicial arm of government don take am as a means to dance to the tune of the highest bidder.
A national where, the focal point of the election na say make you enter the seat first, after that, court go justify the means in a way the illegal means would be made legal and just.

You no just fit get hope but, e no go sure say make you no see the bright light at the end of the tunnel. Man without hope is nothing and you can’t afford to be nothing. Na life be that!

For my state something happen wey lead to stopping of Keke driving in the night and no much taxi,,buses so now the rate of transport fare at night no be here..where you go pay 150 normally for day time,,,now na 300 because say the few driver's wey dey available don see so many passengers on the road so now them don see opportunity to bill people anyhow they like without considering say this one na my fellow human being...all their own if you like you enter...if you like stay...
I Dey familiar with this situation from a time and it’s not only when these no movement within a time range Dey imposed, even when it rains in the evenings and people are in a hurry to get home, you will find drivers monetizing the situation with a demand and supply scale.
If na the curfew situation, I no go too blame the transport agents because, both themselves and you are breaking a law to be out in times where you’ve been remanded to be indoors as a form of regulation. In the events that your found outside, the transport agent is likely to be more punished than you the passengers. In most cases, these passengers will just leave the driver to carry his/her cross.

In the case where e Dey due to the weather, Omo, the focus should be in the number of turns you can do but no, these guys no Dey reason that one. Na less turns and more profit be their focus thereby, allowing the population to suffer through exploitation. Na there the thing spoil. The funny truth be say, what goes around comes around. Money way you get by unjustified means, e Dey also find means way no Dey justifiable to use commot. When e happen, no be devil work, na your work.

I think most of us are having the fear of missing out “bug” at this point in time.  I often have this feeling when Bitcoin is on a ride, but right now it’s very obvious that Bitcoin is on its way to an even bigger breakout than what we’ve seen so far, especially since the announcement of the first Bitcoin ETF hasn’t even been approved yet. When it does, watch out. Stack on !
I don’t very much like to attribute the success of Bitcoin lately to be ETF motivated as, this is even coming to be in times close to the halving. For the most, the ETFs is motivated by the halving as by some means to take advantage of the history it’s known to carry and next halving wouldn’t be any different.
The more reason why, individual and corporate investors should take out their chances now that they have it and stop expecting the coin to drop further. It’s the easiest way to miss out as you really can’t predicted where or how far that little dump would be to provide that buying opportunity rather, you DCA and wait on the halving to come and go before you decide on what phase your Bitcoin investment is going to take.
