One thing I just thought of… Have you guys seen the Talkcoin wallet (Tac)? If you want to send a message you pay 1/10 of a tac…. now if anon is coming I'm quite sure those that really want the anon service would pay say 1/10 of a nav for every nav message sent in anon……
People WOULD pay a fee for totally anon service - especially the BIG business out there as they can disguise (anon) message people with payments for "services" etc. without others seeing what the transaction was for. As an example here is 200,000 nav for that shipment of ak47s lol……

Does anyone know if there is anything I can do about this issue:
EVERYTIME the system that is running the Navajo wallet CRASHES(power outages, freezes), I have to re-download the WHOLE blockchain.
I get some error(didn't write it down) and then another unhandled exception error, and then wallet closes.
I tried -rescan and it does the same thing.
Do I need to back up the blockchain often or what?

If that was the same problem, then it is something that happens with other coin's wallets as well.
Best Regards!  I had had that problem before. Easy fix. search for %appdata% and look for the summer coin folder, backup the wallet and the config file. Delete that folder, re install the wallet. Open the wallet. Then close it and go to the %appdata% and in the summer coin folder put back the config and the wallet.dat. Re open...wait for the block chain to load and that's it... Hope it works. |

Official Update about the Progress Dear Navajo Coin Community!
We are pleased to announce and give You that update about our progress in developments and give You a full view on the current situation.
NavajoCoin Messaging System and NavajoCoin Anonymous Technology were almost finished in the development arena , proposed to be implemented in 2 stages.
When We got hit by the attack , I immediately worked on securing the network as well as restart POW to further strengthen the network for the moment and to stabalize the same as well as compensate Bittrex and Bter in the process and the great community here helped me mine the needed blocks to achieve this.
After posting the New Updated client to further secure the Network and thereafter the network stabalizing , I fell sick and was even hospitalized.
And for around 3 weeks I was dead-out , after coming back to work despite all I have been re-evaluating ways to further strengthen the NavajoCoin Anonymous Feature thus prevent any attacks while it has been implemented because when Anon is implemented we risk any attacks so I've re-evaluted in everyway and I've identified ways to make it further secured and also ways to implement them to the Beta Client.
While I have been doing all these in the Crypto World, just to tell you a bit of my background, while being a software developer in the real world I have developed applications which both civil and military applications for the Financial Sector as well as the Military under my Software Firm and I have been called upon to discuss a few upgrades on them and will be at a their facilities analysing them therefore for around 3 days I will on it.
From Monday Onwards I will be back working with NAV and you can expect an end result within the week.
The time taken will be to implement the special Security protocols that I have evaluated and further secure the NavajoCoin Anon Network even though we are testing all functional requirements for the client will be available in the beta so just think it as a quite identical to the real final client, which will have the same features the Beta will have.
And here's the few screenshots of our coding work:   This is just a preview for You, so You can be fully confident, there are more things behind the curtains. Also along side Beta Anon testing there's a special update coming for the main client. And Soopy doesn't want to tell in first hand that, becouse people might underestimate. We have also prepared an updated blockchain in zip. for Linux Machines: Stay tuned for more news guys!

You were lucky if you bought in at that dip. The price should be going down since miners are still dumping, but it's not. When they are finished an about an hour price will be even more ridiculous.

I'm surprised there are people in crypto that don't know who Max Keiser is. Google him, he's very famous and has been behind a few cryptocurrency ventures. MAX KEISER is my idol....after MARADONA! Question:
Someone was able to complete the synchronization of the new wallet in a normal way,
without using the zip with the blockchain, or the files in the directory of the previous wallet?
No reply. So really no one was able to sync the wallet?  I had to use the zipped blockchain. Yeah, I had to use the zip file too. I had to search the thread for it though. It should be added to the OP. I used the blockchain in the zip file and worked perfectly. Just follow the instructions....It's staking much much better. To the moon with the Navajo! If it goes to $1 I can afford the build of my recording studio!!! if it goes to $10 I will afford the build of my recording studio + my home! |
