641  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace - Official Launch on: January 04, 2013, 07:34:51 PM
I went to open a weexchange account, it's asking for:

First Name:
Last Name:
Street Address 1:
Street Address 2:
City:
State:
Postal:
Country:
Phone Number:

Is all that really necessary?

I just want to transfer my BTC in and out of Bitfunder.   Undecided

Edit: I realize after posting that coming from me that you may consider this a personal slam against Bitfunder rather than a legitimate end user complaint.  Please, take it as the latter.  I had shares in Bakewell that I wish to liquidate to recover my BTC and I have zero desire to give up my personal contact info to weexchange if they are unwilling to give up their real contact info to me.

Yup, they even rent real executive offices too! It's a great location. (Esp. only being about 5min from the house.)

WeExchange offers a btc exchange. It follows AML and KYC requirements. Being a business owner I am sure you can understand a need for this?
I mean, a business that's primary focus is to handle money really SHOULD know something about their customers and try to follow legal procedures.

While I cannot give you any advise on what to do about those fields. I can and will be helpful enough to tell you that currently, there is no verification needed if you are only depositing or withdrawing BTC. It is primarily for the fiats.

You seem kind of annoyed at having to deal with my sites in general? I am a little confused at this since you have had a BF account for some time now.
If you have 'competitor syndrome' or something like that I guess it is understandable why you cannot keep your personal issues to private conversation.

You know, I think I have mentioned several times that I have had accounts, not only on btct, but litecoinglobal as well, and even own shares of ltc-global.
Even if something on the site has annoyed me, or whatever, I still complied with and did what needed to be done to use the service without going into your thread/s and blasting you over my personal opinion, esp. when it is completely biased and irrelevant to anyone else.

I am glad to see that you were easily able to find readily available contact info for the site, and probably saw the ticket support system in BitFunder as well. I think any reputable site owes it to their users to offer some direct means of contact! Smiley

Signed up to a real site and looked around how to deposit my BTC. I was really disappointed and surprised to find out I need a account in something called weexchange.co Sad
WTF is weexchange.co and what is the value they add to this?

WeExchange is an exchange site that Graet and myself operate.

I hope you would consider giving it a try as many others have and see the benefits for yourself. Smiley

Thanks!

BitFunder is currently performing maintenance tonight.

Happy new years. Smiley

First of two maintenance windows are complete.

The last one will start about 9pm CST and last 2~4 hours.

So, I got the final list from nefario.

It now says there was 11684 shares in the wild including the 69 I owned. Its still short of the 11909 I last saw, but the total on that list adds up to the full 1 million shares (it also lists the unsold shares as well). I will assume this list is accurate.

I'm going to be handing this list over to Ukto to get the shares redistributed.

As soon as you are around we can get things setup for you to upload the claims. Smiley

It was the signup one I believe, I can't exactly remember what the auth code was or where in the signup process I hit the bug, Ill go back later and see what email sent me where.
I have not used the lost pass feature yet tho.

I signed up at funder, hashpower, and weex... and connected them all with eachother, so yeah... lots of places to link and I am not sure which it was

anyhow, one of the auths told me it failed and I believe logged me out / had me on a logged out page, but on login I was verified.

Ah, that was probably WeExchange, it has a known bug for that actually. Smiley

Ian,

Was it the signup verification email, or lost password verification email?
Usagi seems to have a problem with the lost password one.

Strange problems you are having there. Why would the verification code not work? It works when I test it. Have you tried to copy and paste?
What errors are you having with WeExchange specifically? PM me and I will be more than happy to help you out.

fwiw my verification code told me it failed however I refreshed the screen, logged in, and was good to go.

Lets move this to the BF thread. Smiley
648  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: December 30, 2012, 06:57:12 PM
Fair warning... December is gong to have a huge dividend payout (likely over 1900 btc to the asset holders). If you were ever thinking of owning some shares of S.DICE, do it in the next  24 hours. Holding a million shares will yield you over 190btc from Dec. earnings alone.

1m shares costs roughly 3,700btc right now at MPEX
190btc would be 5.1% yield in one month... and this is legitimate, transparent profits.

And for all you who already own shares, Merry Christmas Wink

And if you do not have an MPEX account, you could also buy some s.dice shares via DeadTerra's pass-through on BitFunder. Wink

It looks like this is now up and trading on BitFunder, is the plan still to also have it traded on BTCT.co?

I hope so. I'm having an extreme amount of difficulty with weexchange.go and bitfunder right now. Additionally bitfunder has no support which is reachable from outside the system so if you are having login issues or the verification code they send you doesn't work, you can't contact support.

Strange problems you are having there. Why would the verification code not work? It works when I test it. Have you tried to copy and paste?

Sales to date in settings looks fine now - thanks.

Just encountered a minor niggle - easily fixed I hope.

If I go to the market for an asset and Cancel one of my orders it takes me back to "My Assets" - instead of back to an updated view of the market for that asset.  Most times I cancel an order it's to put it back up at a different price - so staying in the market should be the default behaviour.  Cancelling an order doesn't change my assets - so no reason it should go them.  It's most annoying when cancelling a bid - as if I don't already own any of them I can't even go directly back to the asset from "My Assets" and have to go back via the main market.

Cancel on the asset page now leaves you on the asset page. Smiley
651  Economy / Securities / Re: Do any of the asset exchanges support share splits (to include reverse splits). on: December 28, 2012, 05:38:34 PM
Yes, that would be no problem on BitFunder. Smiley
652  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace - Official Launch on: December 27, 2012, 07:03:36 PM
A few minor issues - none urgent or catastrophic.

1.  Volume reported (in settings) seems broken.  Mine says : "This quarter you have sold: ฿1 worth.".  After I did my first few sales totalling about 2.97 BTC it stayed at 0.  At some point later (days not minutes/hours) it went to 1.  I've sold more since then and it hasn't yet risen again.  Not sure what it's calculating - but it isn't the total value of shares I've sold (and paid fees on).

2.  When I make a purchase or sale (or just place a bid/ask) the screen refreshes and gos back to the same asset trade screen.  That's great - but the count of shares and BTC remains the same as prior to the transaction.  Got caught out by this trying to place a second Bid on something with what it said were my available funds - when of course it was reporting the funds as they were BEFORE my previous bid was placed.  The total BTC at top of screen also doesn't update.  Wuuld guess it's just that the page is being reloaded before some cache has been cleared/refreshed.

3.  This isn't an issue as such - just checking I have something correct, plus a question.  If I look at the public asset list and look at (for example) ABM (as it's first) I see only 285 shares listed.  But if I look at the profile for ABM I see 989 shares issued.  Would I be correct that the large discrepancy between those numbers is shares that you auto-imported but for which the account holder hasn't yet set a BTC address?  Further, would I be correct that I can edit my BTC address to blank so that noone can correlate my various holdings?  As someone who trades I can see clear uses that can be made from that information to assist in trading (I'm not going to spell them out here obviously).  So if it's allowed to blank your BTC address I'll weigh up the benefits/risks of doing so and either blank mine or not.  I don't believe you've fully considered how useful that public list is to someone who trades (and, hence, how unhelpful being on that list can be).

1. Check it now, see how that looks.

2. Yeah, I am adding some js by this weekend to be able to update the pre-rendered page data.

3.  a. Yes, the missing shares are unclaimed glbse shares.
b. I am aware of the blanking, and honestly have not had the time to fully consider the ramifications of allowing users to blank it out. I was debating allowing it, and posting a message that if they did it, then it would be a huge risk on their side if something should happen to BitFunder. For the same reasons, I am still debating forcing it. The signup requires an address.

How about some community input on this? That's the whole point. Smiley
653  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Limited Launch Offer to Orphaned GLBSE Assets & Shareholders on: December 26, 2012, 06:00:34 PM
@Ukyo

I have some shares with BMF, and others have also. I'm sure you want to help us, isn't it?

Hi kneim, and to everyone else concerned,

As you can see from my prior offering/deal with Oliver(Usagi), I wanted to be able to help out all of the shareholders have a way to collect
rather than having the community suffer because he does not want to do it himself by hand.

I had an email from btct.co saying that he had listed his asset there. When I looked, it was a filled out asset that was launching.
With no further contact from Oliver, and the fact that there was no description updates, no claims uploaded, nothing was there, I marked the asset as disabled.
Nothing that could not be undone in a moments notice and put exactly to how it was. He has made is very clear in at least one post, he wanted to be on
an exchange because of all the trouble to pay people by hand. Wanting the extra trouble to list on multiple exchanges without any sort of claiming plan seemed very far fetched based on this.

Quote
Dear god why? Why did you do that? I just sent out dozens of letters telling people they could claim on Bitfunder.

Obviously, this would have been a "bad thing" regardless.

A. The asset could only be seen by Oliver, which I made him aware of that.
B. There were no claims in the system for anyone to claim. (They would not have been able to anyways since the asset was still private, as I told Oliver.)
C. There were no plans made or mentioned, for cross-site claiming.

If he did in-fact send out any such emails, then it would have left a lot of people highly confused and/or mad.
Sending out such emails after publicly listing on another exchange could cause further problems.
If he did not, then it is just extra drama that is not needed.

While I was willing to easily say 'Oh, alright' and go along with whatever plans, and re-enabled the asset if there was some misunderstanding then I would have.
Before there was even a chance to talk about it, he begun kicking up drama.

I did not have the immediately available time to spend on drama. Many people here can vouch that I take care of things that need taking care of when they need taking care of, and generally do it in a very quick and orderly fashion. From my point of view, after having the asset ready for use for two days, and not using it at all, he had decided to launch on BTCT, set everything up, and launched. I simply disabled the asset to keep it from being abused / double listed and avoid any potential accidents from it. Instead of messaging me saying 'hey, X disappeared from my screen.' he went out of his way to create public drama over it.
Before there was even a chance for me to respond to him saying he wanted to dual-list on exchanges, he started making it sound as if he had done everything
with the BitFunder asset, and had already launched, and told users where to claim their stuff, and made it sound as if I was some big bad guy who came along
and pulled the rug out from underneath him. Esp. being xmas and short on time, I will not stand for people who insist on involving me with their drama. He had
pressed the wrong buttons at the wrong time, and could take his drama elsewhere. He did not have a live asset, he did not even really have an asset on BitFunder
at all except for a tag that was privately listed on a page only he could see, and he had already announced he was launching on BTCT. So I decided to let things be at that.

What do you want me to do, kill myself?

No, please don't.  PM me.  I'll give you my number if you'd like to chat.

Making a post in your other thread regarding a possible solution.

Cheers.

Thank you Burnside, I have been spending the day with my Family today.

Hi Oliver,

I see you have chosen to move forward with btct.
I wish you the best of luck. Smiley

-Ukyo

Oh dear god.

Did you just remove my security from Bitfunder?

Dear god why? Why did you do that? I just sent out dozens of letters telling people they could claim on Bitfunder.

Why are you doing this to me?

err, the asset was never even enabled, had any claims uploaded to it, or even had a description or any detailed written on it.
You had posted that you were listing on btct.

So?

How does that affect my relationship with Bitfunder? DeadTerra listed on both exchanges, what's the problem here?

Are you seriously not going to let me list there?

I am sorry to say that the decision has been made to not be involved with your assets, regardless of recent events.
I wish you the best of luck elsewhere.

I would like to continue operations of BMF on BitFunder. Do I get Slot #4?

As soon as I list and get everyone on the system and all the assets I would like to run a shareholder motion to liquidate the company or continue operations.

Hi Oliver,

I will be quite honest, the intentions of the offer are geared towards assets that plan to keep trading.
An asset that will just liquidate would just be taking advantage of the offer. I do see a problem with you knowing what the shareholders want to do though.

Let me propose this.. If you re-list, and the shareholders agree to continue trading then the asset will receive a bonus dividend from BF.
This will be an extra, and special slot for this case.

How does that sound?

Is anyone else having issues logging into BitFunder? I have 2-factor auth on the account with google authenticator and its coming up 'Passwords do not match. '

I've done a reset password but still no luck. It was fine yesterday, and I've successfully logged in with 2-factor before so nothing has changed my end as far as I know.

Cheers.

Hey there,

I just asked a couple others on irc to test theirs and they seem fine. Mine does as well.
I do see where you did a password recovery and are set to 2-Factor.

The problem would actually be password matching. If you gave a bad 2-Factor code you would have seen 'Google 2-Factor incorrect or not provided.'.

I have PM'd you and we will get the issue resolved. Smiley

Thanks!

All sorted now. It was a problem between the chair and the keyboard!  Embarrassed

Thanks for the very quick response though Ukyo, and sorry for the false alarm!

No problemo, that is what I a here for. Wink

If anything else comes up, lemme know. Smiley
