Hello everybody! Just wanted to share some of our plans with you. We will be making the iPhone app and this will happen as soon as we have enough money to do so. MangoCoinz will also be rebranded into something more fitness-like. This includes the logo as well. Now, this can go 2 ways. We will know in a couple of days which way to go. First, if we get enough money in the following days to start the iPhone app, then it will be our primary focus and the iPhone app will be built as a fitness rebrand straight from the start. Second, we don't get enough money for an iPhone. In this case we will rebrand the existing Android app and start expanding into the fitness market, and the iPhone app will come when MangoCoinz (or whatever we call it by then) settles and gets well accepted in the fitness market. The website will also be redesigned for this purpose. We will give out MCZ rewards to people who help out with the promotion. Regarding the new name. ManGO coins is something we had in mid, but there have been a lot of suggestions and there are some there that we really like. So we will pick out some names, and put them to your vote. As for the logo, keep those coming. We like the FitBits logo provided by unusualfacts30. Big shoutout for the effort  But we will wait a bit on the logo selection to see if someone else makes something as cool as this one, or maybe even better. Of course, we will give out nice MCZ rewards to anyone who wins with his suggestion (both for the name and the logo). I like this coin and the idea of first Android altcoin But I have some doubts... First - no p2p and no open source. Second - is it possible to create a script which will use the Android emulator on a PC to mock the miner and generate coins? This would be a disaster for this coin... It's been taken care of. We know how to prevent it and deal with it. |

I would also like to propose a new name for the project: Fitcoin (FIT) and a new logo with emphasis on fitness, women and healthy lifestyles. If this doesn't stop any time soon, if the price doesn't go up or at least stabilize, we will be forced to take measures and start interfering in the entire trade of MangoCoinz.
This sounds kind of ominous...what does "interfering in the entire trade of MangoCoinz" mean? I would love for the price to increase but sometimes the market just doesn't notice a coin right away for various reasons. There are definitely a few reasons why people might be wary of this coin and that is due to the closed source and centralized aspect. Closed source is something I personally have no issue with and people can live with but the centralized nature of the coin might actually be a turn off to some people...it certainly is a unique aspect of the coin (which I like and am mining constantly). There are a few strategies that might be beneficial...showing up in the Polo troll box and doing a giveaway could help spur interest and demand. They love giveaway contests. A pronounced Twitter campaign could be useful and much more. I'm just wary of what 'interfering' means... It's nothing that you should be worried about, nothing alarming or tyrannical. Do you expect people to install cryptocurrency app on their phone without published source code?!? Put the code on the GitHub so everyone can review and see that it's honest.
Hey itod, Sorry, but at this moment MangoCoinz is not open source. The reason is because we don't want a bunch of copy coins to spring up with the MangoCoinz technology. Except if it was not GPL licensed, which I doubt. Just look at the licenses in your source. There are 0 closed source cryptocurrencies, for obvious reasons. If you bring something new to the table, copycats have no chance except if they bring something new, which is the general idea of opensource code innovation. You are doing it wrong. We are not obliged to publish the source code, and we will not do so anytime soon. You can see the rich addresses, how many coins have been mined, the blockchain explorer is there as well, all for your convenience. MangoCoinz is innovation, and we will protect it with everything we have got. Feel free to innovate on thousands of other alts and their technology. Hello Everybody! The exchange patch is 70% complete, only thing left to do is to write the documentation for the exchange devs and test it out a little. We got held up by our college stuff (semester tests are coming up next week), so we will have to delay it by another week. I know what you guys are thinking. College students = unprofessional. But let me assure you that every single lesson we learn in our classes, all of our knowledge is directed to MangoCoinz. It will just keep getting better and better We are sorry for the inconvenience, but bear with us, we are so close to making MCZ spark a revolution in the cryptocurrency world Also another thing we wanted to share with you guys. Deforestation is becoming a problem even here in our country, so we thought about trying to help out and raise the awareness for ecology and further encourage people to mine MCZ by planting trees each month for every certain amount of MCZ mined. Simple example: Plant 1 tree for every 1000 MCZ mined in a certain month. 100 000 coins mined = 100 trees planted.
