I think a lot of things are happening at the same time, and most of them are favoring bitcoin. Most people don't really like the segwit2x fork, and we are keep getting info on mining pools and exchanges withdrawing their support to NYA, so the fork might not happen at all. Then we have the bgold fork that is completely friendly, and like you said people are expecting some free coins, so they are holding BTC. There are some good news from some banks that showing some interest, governments that regulating and accepting BTC, and more and more rumors from the interest of Wall Street in crypto. This gives confidence to the market and more people buy it. So most are probably holding, and some are buying, so the price can only go up right now.

Makes sense, we're not at a point where Bitcoin is a real "danger" yet to the governments. I'm pretty sure it will be in the future though, and when that moment comes we should expect taxing in Bitcoin. The banks and governments will do everything in their power to take a cut. It's funny the whole Bitcoin vs Banks thing makes me think about Uber vs Taxis for some reason haha. The banks are pre-established just like the taxis and there's a new technology coming to the playground which is Uber (Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general). Taxis are still fighting to overthrow the new technology that is Uber.  Good to hear the they still thinking that bitcoin is not a real threat yet for their government. But sooner or later they will realized this, although its not bitcoin primary purposes. Although its design was to eliminate third party like banks, bitcoin can serve other purposes as well. Bitcoin just gave people alternatives not to used banks and be "our own bank". But it doesn't mean that we are going to overthrown banks around the world because it can't really be done because banks have already established themselves are the primary financial institutions. I thought this was a raffle one because I've seen before that there are generous members here that are giving some prizes after guessing the right price of bitcoin on a certain date. Still I will guess that the price of bitcoin will be reaching $6,000 by the end November and it can be stable on the mid-month of December. To be specific this is the date of my speculation 30/11/2017 (DD|MM|YY).

I am Mims I just want to know your opinion and ideas what is the possible price of bitcoin for end year 2017? I do track bitcoin price for years and 2017 price went break out and people go crazy in the market. Some reason people invest to bitcoin and wish will be go up to the moon. So what is your oponion or prediction prive for bitcoin this coming december 2017 guys? I want to know is Christmas season and I think some people maybe sell some bitcoins for holiday or just stay and wait for the right price. Thanks

If you have your private key stored, you're perfectly fine. You can import this any moment in any Bitcoin wallet client, make sure it is verified safe. The fork can not accidentally change your BTC to BTG, the fork is a copy of Bitcoin's current blockchain which will split after 25 October. Every BTC you have now will correspond to one BTG. Both wallets will have the same private key, so make sure you import it to a verified BTG client. Otherwise your key can get stolen. A good solution for this is sending your BTC to a new wallet after 25 October and then importing the old wallet key in a BTG client. The safest wallet is just personal preference, Armory is in my opinion the safest wallet. But it is quite complicated. Electrum or Core are more user friendly. SegWit2x fork looks more calm, but it is true it contains big risk .. ysng coins can be split to produce 1 = 1 but there is also a risk that there is such as we lose the bitcoin that we have that change with bitcoingold and the price is not necessarily can guarantee us that our money will come back ,, but there is nothing wrong if we dare to take risks to get something that is not certain, and let's just say this is a gambling |

I would say Bitcoin is the best altcoin to trade because it has the liquidity needed. You don't want to be trading something that has low liquidity (like most altcoins) and be left holding a bag that no one wants to buy. Of course, I think trading in general is like gambling for most people, you need a ton of experience, and even top traders lose money. My advice is that you get a job and buy and hold bitcoin, and do only calculated trades.
