641  Economy / Speculation / Re: LOST btc on: August 05, 2017, 07:43:49 PM
Closing the BTC-e will have a good impact on the course. Because this btc never go back in reality. I wonder what is  the number of lost bitcoins, to which there is no access for one reason or another?

I have heard that btc-e is still claiming all the users funds are safe and they have copy of their user's database so they can distribute those bitcoin that belongs to their users. I don't think all of those bitcoin will be unaccessible even if btc-e will shut down for forever.

Either someone form the team or government might get access to it.

Indeed, bitcoin from BTC-E won't just disappear or lost in the thin air and this exchange has stated to refunds customers right on September 1 after law enforcement agency have done their job. I assume it will takes some time after all of this problems be solved. Whether all of those bitcoin and money will be refunds or seized, but in the end, it will come back to the market and circulation.
642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where will bitcoin level off? on: August 05, 2017, 06:49:26 PM
I will consider bitcoin may drop back to $2700 again as a check point such as before if something goes wrong or a correction will be happen.
But, I like to think it won't be happen due to segwit will be activated through BIP141 https://coin.dance/blocks
Bitcoin price could reach over $4000 in this month I guess if people not swayed by bad news regarding chain split, hopefully.
643  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin acting like proxy for Gold ? on: August 05, 2017, 05:04:27 PM
Bitcoin price is acting like it is related to the gold price. This is happening regardless of whether you or I think Bitcoin has or should have any inherent value.
Bitcoin may not be a wise store of wealth, but it is reaching and achieving Facebook-style dominating and recognition.
An even 1.0 Bitcoin to Gold Ratio was strong resistance for a long time, but now bitcoin has broken above it and the gold price may act as strong support.
Bitcoin has been acting like gold, not silver. And if bitcoin even began to move closer to the total market value of gold.

I really like the analogy like proxy of gold, yes bitcoin has higher value even more expensive than gold per ounce.
People could store value into both of it but most people think bitcoin is more profitable but risky and gold seems steady and stable.
In some cases, bitcoin has some advantages than gold, so yes it is like proxy  for gold. But in some countries, you can't really hand over gold to someone who pay it with bitcoin due to there are some documents about it.
644  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin world currency on: August 05, 2017, 06:05:13 AM
It is possible, but for now you can not purchase all commodities because not all of business or companies accept bitcoin payment.
Please check this board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0, and you may find people sell and buy various goods such as computer hardware, tshirt, electronics, car accessories and even you can buy a house. As long as you can fulfill all necessary documents and hire a lawyer and realtor in some cases.
645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash (BCC) , beware Traders on: August 05, 2017, 12:12:51 AM
Just like what we've predicted, not die on arrival but crash after deposit bch allowed. It is free money, that's why people will sell it to get cash instead of keep bch. A coin could rise up because of its usability, most people like the idea of anonymity, untraceable, low fees or used in specific sectors such as eth being used to funded many projects relate to altcoins. Traders should be deal with profits and loss, so whoever has bought bch at the peak is in big loss right now.
646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin penetrate the price of 3500 USD at the end of 2017 this? on: August 04, 2017, 11:22:59 PM
With the rise in bitcoin prices now when I made this topic has reached the price of 2769 USD, my hope can be translucent 3500 USD until the end of the year.

How do you respond about it, can or not bitcoin will reach that price?

$2860 right now and bitcoin continue to fluctuate, we have segwit be activated within a week maybe or segwit2x will be another chain split.
So, there are some problems which inhibits bitcoin growth and mostly because debates and drama to solve scale problems.
However, if segwit be activated and no need to do hard fork, then bitcoin could reach over $4000 by the end of this year obviously.
647  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-08-03] Hackers Behind WannaCry Virus Have Withdrawn All the Money on: August 03, 2017, 11:32:38 PM
These wallets were watched by law enforcement agencies and victims around the world
How could it happen, law agencies should located the bitcoin mixer. And it's a shame for them to accept (consider as) stolen coins.
I can't believe how could they want to cash out this big amount of money, and who wants to deal with law authorities by accepting those coins? Even if you're holding it for 100 years, law enforcement agencies will always watch over it  Grin and hunt you down.
648  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC upto 5000$!! on: August 03, 2017, 04:13:58 PM
There are some factors which cause bitcoin could reach over $5000 or not.
Normally, bitcoin value always rise over time and even reach fantastic point in the end of the year.
And consider about Segwit will be activated, then I am sure we will see bitcoin exceed $5K.
But consider about another chain split, segwit2x 2Mb proposal, this news could lead to many speculations and bitcoin price will fall again.
649  Economy / Economics / Re: How Bitcoin will reach $2000 to $10000 in 2017 and $100k by 2026. on: August 02, 2017, 11:47:20 PM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZe1pl66vGg

A good video on exponential growth and groundbreaking technologies, and bitcoin is definitely a game changer.

What can I say? Let's hope those numbers materialize. A lot of people lost faith and now it looks we can easily hit $2000 this year. 100k by 2026 sounds like a decent deal to me.

Well, bitcoin already hit over $2000 this year, and you want to say could reach $10,000 right? Nothing is impossible, but there are some limitations and various factors that affect bitcoin price. Everytime bitcoin reach higher price, it will decline significant at takes some time to recover and this cycle always repeated. We know that just a pump, but to make bitcoin price could stay at higher level, we need more users - adoption - to use bitcoin in daily life instead of just as trading object. My best prediction, bitcoin could reach $5000 by the end of this year, but consider segwit will be activated, then we may see it reach over $5000.
650  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you distinguish a BULL from a BEAR market? on: August 02, 2017, 05:41:00 PM
Well, you are looking for some entry point to invest, as cheap as possible to get more return in the future.
May I ask, how long you've planned to hold it? I have no doubt about saving bitcoin for long term, even for years as it will grow even bigger than current price.
But, which one of many altcoins, that you want to invest on? Eth, bcash, dash, monero? In my opinion, altcoins doesn't worth to hold for long term, it is a trading object which fluctuate a lot and more profitable in short term, maybe around 1 months and then sell it.
Bitcoin and altcoins prices seems at higher point right now, and I suggest to wait until it drop to $2500.
How to distinguish it? Nothing for sure, look at the charts and news which state about what's coming.
The cycle always repeated, after it rise, it will fall soon.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminders for today: #1 DON'T PANIC! on: August 01, 2017, 02:57:57 PM
has it forked or not? is there a post were it is confirmed that the fork was sucessful?

They have yet to mine a block.

shitty live stream on youtube with news and commentary.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6QJxMWngn4

I am not panic but still consider how bitcoin cash will be, maybe after they mine a block, it will be clearer about how much transactions going through their chain. BIP148 UASF already activated with no split and no issue but Bcash split time will on 12:20 UTC today, But it's 02.56 and there is no chain split detected? I want to cash out my free bcash obviously, but still unclear about what happen with it.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tomorrow it comes..... on: July 31, 2017, 11:22:46 PM
Everything is depended on the Segwit2x success because if it got failed then their will be hardfork till it get success , how many dont know. So their can be panic and mostly their will be in price drop. This is what every one are fearing about.

Less than an hour for BIP148 possible split point but we can consider this negligible as BIP91 has been locked-in and all blocks already signaling BIP141 which is another way to activate SegWit and most likely segwit2x will not activated.
And Bitcoin cash is expected to split some time after 12:20 UTC, as long as we have private keys then bcash is free money, no need to panic I guess.
If those two points works smoothly, then 13:00-23:59 UTC: split instructions and all-clear.
I think people still transact bitcoin as there are a lot of unconfirmed transactions waiting for included into blockchain, over 5K https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] DIMCOIN The Future Of Equity on the Blockchain (FULL) on: July 31, 2017, 03:28:53 PM
I can 't really see any unique proposition.

You state three things:

1. Blockchain with new code base, secure, fast transaction times.

2. Multiple currencies.

3. Online wallet.

How is any of this new?

Then you should read more about Dimcoin, download the white paper, look at the idea, look at the long term intention and goal of DIMCOIN Foundation.
The DIM and DIM Ecosystem are created and operated by the DIMCOIN Foundation, and are based on the NEM blockchain technology. NEM offers a unique two-tier design using node reputation, spam protection, and incentivised infrastructure through supernodes – all to ensure safe and secure online trading and transactions.
Hybrid Stock Exchange (HYBSE) is the online trading platform for global issuers and investors and it provides a range of cryptonised assets like: Shares, ETC (Exchange-Traded Commodities), ETF (Exchange-Traded Fund), ETN (Exchange-Traded Note), Crypto-Forex Exchange, Index, Startups – IPO, Startups – ICO and Pirate Market.https://www.dimcoin.io/
I am sure, how a coin could develop and gain many support because of the idea and usability of their tokens, and Dimcoin provide an opportunity for investors to join as shareholders and get profits in long term.
654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price fluctuation on: July 31, 2017, 02:38:25 PM
I want to understand how bitcoin price fluctuation. ??
Bitcoin fluctuation is a result of seller and buyer . In market it only means that there are more seller than the buyer which makes the price lower due to lower support which is the buyers.

Bitcoin price always fluctuate because people use it as trading object, whenever demand higher > many people buy bitcoin then its price increase.
If those people sell out their bitcoins, then its price decrease. Please, you have to learn about economics rules and trading before decide to put money on exchanges. I think, trading is not for those who want to earn easy profits without hard work, because most people fall in this field, get loss.
655  Economy / Exchanges / Re: who would have thought: Btc-e coming back this soon! on: July 31, 2017, 01:32:43 PM
Well, as long as customers could receive their bitcoin and money back, it's like a pain relief.
I do not agree if FBI or another central authority seized bitcoin as it doesn't belong to BTC-E where people deposit to this site.
The lesson is : do not put big amount of money/bitcoin on exchanges as it can be on risk to lose it if anything goes wrong just like happened with BTC-E or Bitfinex last year.
656  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the best way to make money with bitcoin in 2017? on: July 31, 2017, 12:51:00 PM
The best way? I think the answers will be different from and for everyone depends on where do you live?
what kind of job do you want? or skills that you have? Do you have money for investment? and so on.
There is no certain answer for this, but do whatever you want or easier for you, whether it is invest on bitcoin, sell some goods, offers your skill or whatever that you are capable to. The most common way is buy bitcoin right now and wait until next month when it rise and then sell it, easy profit.
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to my BTC in 3 different places on Aug 1st? on: July 31, 2017, 06:34:22 AM
Thanks for both of your replies, I really appreciate it!  Totally agree with moving assets off of Coinbase... I've been moving in that direction recently but it makes even more sense now as there is no apparent benefit to keeping any BTC there for this event.  I am going to move .5 BTC over to my Bittrex account and .5 onto my Nano... hedging my bets lol.

Thanks Lou... my main objective is not to obtain BCH, but I'm OK with leaving half of my whopping 3 coins on Bittrex just to see what happens with it and having my other 1.5 on my Nano.  This is kind of a last minute "fix" since l thought BIP91 would be implemented, avoiding this hard-fork that now seems immanent.  I'm comfortable with this current set-up... just hoping that BTC prices don't bottom out as a result of the fork.

So, you have removed bitcoin from coinbase into bittrex and nano? Why move to bittrex if you're not aim for bch?
But remember about chain split, I am not sure about BIP141 and BIP148. But I am sure we are safe as long as could export private keys.
With Ledger Nano S, secrets like private keys are never exposed but I assume it is still safe on August 1st
Bitcoin price will drop back after fork but may not drop below $2000 I guess.
658  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I hold? on: July 30, 2017, 11:58:51 PM
Bitcoin price fluctuate a lot, but sometimes it reach higher peak. So the idea of invest on bitcoin is buy low and sell high, buy whenever dip occurs and wait for it rise to sell. If you are on loss, then you should wait a little longer for bitcoin gain more value as it always did.
Investing on bitcoin in long term more likely give profits instead of loss obviously, but all you need is to be patient and wait until that day come.
659  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-31]License Required: Poloniex, Bitfinex Will Stop Operations in Washing on: July 30, 2017, 11:34:31 PM
Poloniex and Bitfinex global trading volume will decrease soon, as many traders come from state of Washington. But, fortunately not all of the United State of America, right? Or maybe they will adopt the same regulations for every crypto trading platform. I can see the motive is to get taxes from all of their citizens who involve in crypto trading as they said any entity or individual who wants to operate a cryptocurrency exchange in the state should apply for a license and should contract with a third party auditor to monitor and inspect their system to ensure its transparency and integrity.
Transparency mean, you should give every details of your money to government and they want tax from it.
660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin dip below 2000 again before Aug 1? on: July 30, 2017, 10:59:59 PM
Last time bitcoin price fall below $2000 in this month and already recover over $2700 right now, people expect bitcoin price drop back before hard fork but it seems persist at this point. So, we can assume that people may buy and hold bitcoin in order to get free bcc as well and bitcoin price could be increase after hard fork. If people cash out bcc and buy bitcoin after hard fork, then we will see significant increase more than $3000.
