641  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: April 17, 2018, 02:09:02 AM
It depends on your strategy or portfolio management. As far as the management of my portfolio is concerned, I set aside a certain amount that is designed for 1 to 2 years of holding. Some are also for active trading. I sell when there is a considerable growth of overall value and not just on a certain percentage. We have to look at the overall value of course because it is where profit is made. For example, I have a coin that grew 30% just for today. I do not sell it if it has plunged in value for the last 2 months. I have to take a look at the overall performance.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Over 90% of ICOs are a scam on: April 17, 2018, 12:04:25 AM
The founder of ETHEREUM said that over 90% of ICOs are scams. By participating in an ICO, you give your money to a project that probably will never happen. Every day a new ICO comes out ... but what surprises me is that many people invest their savings in these very high risk projects. I think it is much better to invest in real projects already listed on the stock exchange .... of which you know everything well ... For example, BANKERA looks like an ICO scam .....

There are so many scams in the ICO market. That is very obvious. We can even see it very clearly in the Announcement section here in this forum. You can tell right there and then that an ICO is a scam if there are no responses to the very valid questions asked by potential investors. Well, ICO investors should know about this reality and in investing they accept all the risks involved.
643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: All crptocurrency at a single exchange. on: April 16, 2018, 03:30:15 AM
Is it safe to keep your all crypto currency at a single exchange (bitfinnix)?Or one should choose multiple exchanges.

It is always best to diversify. This advice does not only apply to investments, whether cryptocurrency-related or not, but also to all kinds of investment opportunities, and also to exchange platforms. Do not just focus on a single exchange platform. Well, in the first place, you will follow the exchange platforms of your favorite and potential coins so you cannot just settle with a single platform. But also if the single exchange platform that you use is in maintenance or crashing down, then you will also be stuck along with them. So you better use around 3 of the best exchanges.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Governments Kill Bitcoin? on: April 16, 2018, 02:25:40 AM
The latest news is that the US government is look closely at Bitcoin. A number of governments such as Russia and China are also planning to issue their own digital currencies. They clearly see a financial threat from Bitcoin.

What do you think? Can governments kill Bitcoin and replace it with their own digital/crypto currency?

If the start and eventually growth of Bitcoin is not brought about by the governments, then I can see no reason why the governments can effectively kill Bitcoin. Bitcoin started and earned fast and solid growth over the years without any kind of help from the governments. That means they have made such amazing achievements independently from the governments. It can exist on its own with only the ordinary people backing them up. Governments may try to cripple Bitcoin by banning it but it will definitely fail to kill it.
645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friend sent me .03 BTC - what to do now? on: April 16, 2018, 01:38:30 AM
So long story short, a friend owed me for a favor and since I did not have bitcoin before he asked If I would take it in BTC. I didn't mind since I can cash out whenever.
My question is.. what do you think? Its a decent chunk of money for me to just hope something keeps rising, do you think I should "let it ride" or cash out and just be happy with ~$500?

If you do not need that $500 very badly then perhaps it is wiser not to convert it to cash. It will become more than $1,500 by the time the year ends. And that $1,500 would grow more than double in the year that follows. I also encourage you to go further than hodling that first amount of Bitcoin that you have. If you have some extra savings, you could always add additional amount to your Bitcoin holdings. And little by little, you are already creating a wealth.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t panic! on: April 15, 2018, 03:01:06 AM
Hello, why everyone is so afraid of crypto market falling again? I think this 1000$ bitcoin growth is the new beginning of rapid growth of all crypto market! Guys don’t be so depressive, stop panicking and selling just relax and bitcoin is going to reach 20000$ in summer! Cool

Yeah! Let us all be positive on Bitcoin. Spread the word about Bitcoin and help it grow fast and big, the way everyone wants. I don't understand some people here buying Bitcoin and then complaining why the price is so low and always falling down. Instead of constantly complaining about it, why don't they just start promoting Bitcoins in their own unique ways so that there will be more investors and users to come. $20,000 in summer it is!  Cool
647  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: April 14, 2018, 10:31:33 AM
Quote
1. It’s gaining mainstream credibility as industry players consider it as the new gold – Bitcoin has many of the same qualities of gold, whose value is not controlled by governments.

2. Many investors and finance industry experts are serious about the promise of Bitcoin – A large number of mainstream investors and entrepreneurs already consider Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a legitimate asset class.

3. There is only a limited amount of Bitcoin – There are only 21 million Bitcoin tokens to be mined and no new tokens will appear until after 2140. This makes Bitcoin a deflationary currency whose value increases naturally with time.

Source here.

These are interesting big reasons why it is so wise to invest in Bitcoin. I am sure that many people are still doubting Bitcoin whether it can be a good investment vehicle or it is just another risky venture that can collapse anytime. Of course, we know better. So in case someone would be asking you this same question, you just have to enumerate the three big reasons above.

Great tips! If there is a need to really explain Bitcoin extensively to someone, I will make these as my basic points. Normally, in convincing someone to enter Bitcoin, I would only tell them to check the historical prices of Bitcoin and their interest would immediately grow more intense. Perhaps they would be more convinced if I would use these three points to back up the historical data of Bitcoin's prices.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to sell ERC20 Tokens ? on: April 14, 2018, 09:48:37 AM
Hi i am seeing in alt coin section there will be stakes distributed and it is asking for Ethereum  address which accepts ERC20 Token . I do understand ERC20 tokens are digital assets . How i can sell these tokens and get ether or other coins ?? Please help

Stakes only serve as the basis on how the token payments will be counted and distributed later. The ERC20-compatible wallets will be used when the tokens will be distributed already. The wallets they are asking will be the ones in which the payments will be deposited. You can only sell these tokens when they are already listed on exchange sites because they are where the interested ones will be doing their buying.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting tired of waiting on: April 14, 2018, 09:08:33 AM
I don’t know how much more. My $1350 investment is worth $526.78 as of this moment. My coins were BTH, LTC, and ETH.

It is okay even if your coins have lost in value for now. There are no worries about it really. The reason is that all the coins that you mentioned here are perfect coins. They will not go down forever. They will easily recover and meet all your expectations of them. Just give them time. And please do not just lose hope and quit hodling. That would be a big mistake on your part. This waiting is starting to end actually. You have seen a green market in the last couple of days.
650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should we continue to participate in aridrop projects? on: April 13, 2018, 03:18:23 AM
I participated in many aridrop projects. It's usually scam and does not pay me. Now should I continue to join the new aridrop project? Please give me your advice.

You have already went through the bitter taste of failure in joining airdrops. If you are looking for an advice, then here it is: stop chasing airdrops. They are not worth your time. In the end, it will either fail or do not pay you at all. If it pays, you will only get a dollar or two, which means it is still not worth it just the same. Go to bounties section and look for a campaign that suits you best and then give your time in it rather than in worthless airdrops.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitpenta scam or legit ? on: April 13, 2018, 02:23:06 AM
I have a little reservation about the project. The ICO look like High yield investment program which I don't think it should be accommodated here on bitcointalk. There telegram page remain private which means participants can not ask question concerning the project. What do you guys think about bitpenta. Can this be the next scam project?

If there are several red flags like the ones you mentioned it is much better if you avoid it altogether. There are much better projects out there that is worth your money. So do not focus on a single project that shows some shady features. Especially because this is an ICO that you are talking about, do not lower your standards. If there is something that you think is a sign of it being a scam, rule the entire project a scam and move on to the next in line. The market will not ran out of ICO, so don't worry.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why btc has increased 13.04% today? on: April 13, 2018, 01:40:13 AM
where is this sudden pump coming from?
in excellent news, do you think that btc is ready to jump high again?

We are both in a quandary as to where this sudden pump comes from. But if we take a look at the 13.04% growth, it is not actually a big deal. It is within the normal growth. Perhaps we should be shocked when it is 50% or 100% in just an hour. But with that little double figure, there is no need for a really huge news for that. After all, it is Bitcoin. Bitcoin has always been eyed by so many large investors especially these past few days because of its very cheap price.
653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I do not believe ico anymore on: April 12, 2018, 06:48:06 AM
i invested in 3 ico but they all make me uprooted.
1. ATFS
2. BEZOP
3. LEDU
and i think this ico causes bitcoin and etherium prices to drop.never trust again to ico.

Perhaps your disappointment with ICOs is brought by the fact that you have invested in ICOs that are considered not successful. Perhaps we can consider your ICO choices as the wrong ones. You should learn lessons from these sad experiences and never easily give up. ICO investment after all is still one profitable venture if you carefully choose the right ICOs. Or if you are really that frustrated with ICOs, then wait for the coins to get listed before buying.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: April 12, 2018, 05:58:09 AM
I disagree. Bitcoin is number one, was number one, and will always be number one. This is certain. The last time I checked the talks around the town here Bitcoin is still considered cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency is perceived as Bitcoin. This may be wrong but with the equation, Bitcoin is always several steps ahead of Ethereum and other altcoins. When someone new knows about crypto, it would be Bitcoin and no other that he or she will buy first.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’m out on: April 12, 2018, 05:11:41 AM
I had a blood clot on my brain in late January and stroked out.By the time I got out of hospitals rehab a month later I’m seeing 85% losses, with no end in site. I can’t ride this rollercoaster any lower. I’ll be happy to escape with some profits now rather than ending up underwater. Good luck to all.

I'm sorry for you, mate. What you have gone through must be a little depressing. It was so sad that the market went down when you were recuperating. And instead of waking up with a market recovering, it was instead going down some more. It is good that you still have some profits. I am not as lucky as you. But at least I still have the luxury to continue holding. I will not sell mine. There will always be a sunshine at the end of the tunnel.
656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $50,000 this year?? on: April 10, 2018, 05:16:07 AM
Solid bitcoiners what do you think about this. What would be the possibility that this will happen. https://smartereum.com/2404/bitcoin-price-prediction-2018-can-cryptocurrency-hit-50000-sat-apr-7/

For me, this is still a possibility. However, the previous months of the current year seem to be saying that this is going to be a hard goal to reach. Within 3 months at least already, we have been witnessing how Bitcoin lost a significant amount of its value. There are less than 10 months left in this year. If Bitcoin will get to $10,000 - $15,000 in the first half, perhaps $50,000 will be within reach within the year.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite ICO at the moment? on: April 09, 2018, 02:40:34 AM
Hi there,

There are a lot of ICO's on the market everyday. Which of the ICO's is/are the best for you at the moment?

Kind regards,

For now, the best ICO offered in the market today is Streamity's. There will always be bias as I am one of the signature and avatar participants of this project. But I hope you will also understand why of the so many projects right now I still chose Streamity.

Streamity is offers a unique peer-to-peer services for cryptocurrency and fiat money exchange. This is so friendly that even those who do not have experience about crypto can easily access and navigate through it.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or Waves? on: April 09, 2018, 01:55:37 AM
I have 3 ETH and i want to buy some Waves and hold it for long time. Which will be the best option? Buying Waves or Hold ETH!

The best option really is to buy Ethereum and Waves. Both are great projects. Of course Ethereum has made it to the top as compared to Waves that is just somewhere below 30 on the overall list. But it does not mean that Waves is any lesser than Ethereum as compared to its features. It's just that Ethereum is highly influential and well-marketed as compared to Waves.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do We Need Social Media Promotion on: April 09, 2018, 01:13:34 AM
Does Bitcoin Need The Social Media's Help To Promote Itself?

Well, Bitcoin needs all the help that we can get. With its current situation, Bitcoin Foundation is just thinking out of the box to help Bitcoin recover and might even succeed.

With the help of Social Media, bitcoin can attract new and young users. Learn about bitcoin and eventually adopt it.

Maybe this is the first step of mass adoption.

What do you think?

Bitcoin needs social media to boost its promotion around the world. And we all know that people nowadays are so much hooked by this social media craze. If they will always see Bitcoin or cryptocurrency ads and topics in social media, they will also become curious about it and eventually be reading something about Bitcoin. Perhaps in their reading they will become truly aware of it and therefore become interested.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats your plans for the year 2018 on: April 08, 2018, 09:52:22 AM
My plan is to continue holding most of my major coins. Some are going to depend on their prices. But still the most probable thing to do is that I will continue to hold them until a very strong pump will happen, probably be happening when their roadmaps will be significantly met. There will also be some buying and selling of minor coins. I have been doing these always. But only secondary to long term holding.
