And here she is! Smiley

Not ready for the run way yet so I haven't posted in the brag thread. I just moved it this past weekend to an opposite wall so you'll see 2 of the 3 exhaust tubes aren't connected right now. But it's all good for now... I'm only running 5 of the cards, plus it blows warm air on me while I'm sitting at my desk Tongue

http://s17.postimg.org/c2sxscinj/photo_1.jpg

As you can see, it's pretty tall. I got tired of standing (perfect height to do so tho), and sliding my chair across the room when I wanted to sit so I just moved it where it was convenient. Those bulky vents did well when they were in direct line with the window, but too much sitting next to me. So I'm going to have hubbie move them to the rear of the cabinet. BTW, I have fans assisting with blowing the hot air out.

So why go through all the trouble of moving my cabinet only to have to reposition two exhaust lines... well, I had to make room for my comfy chair, of course!

http://s18.postimg.org/d8t7mnqwp/photo_2.jpg

In the next week or so I should have her looking really nice (I'm thinking about just wallpapering it). Since I'll be keeping her and all Smiley But first I need to repair the hole in my wall hubbie had to make to run my dedicated electrical line (10 gauge split into 2 12s or maybe 14s?) so I could use a normal outlet. As nice touch, he chose four outlets that have a fail safe switch on it! Just like the ones required in bathrooms.

http://s28.postimg.org/z6gnzp1tp/photo.jpg

My miners aren't plugged into the outlet yet (black box on bottom of pic) because we got the wrong 30amp breaker. Who the hell knew those damn things weren't universal!

well that is a nice setup ya got there Smiley yer hubby did some good work...ya i'm hoping if i remove all the heat from my knc miners they won't need a a/c in the basement...but will have the option to put one in if they do...ya, i had to play with 10 gauge wire too...not fun to try and wire up 4 plugs off 1 incoming wire...but they are on 240v now cause i was only working off 60a service to house...but i'm moving to a new place with 100a service so i'll have more then enough power now...well good luck with your gpu mining Smiley

Sorry all ... Can't sell right now. There's no shortage of supplies being sold, so happy hunting!

Will leave thread open for a bit just in case sampsonn25 wants to talk more trash.

@sampsonn25 - I managed to cop myself a few of the coins still on the exchange lists. Yeah, I tried a shitty coin (FUCK PURE!) or two, but it's all chalked up to experience buddy. And - just because I don't have much time under my belt on this forum, I was part of this community way before signing up. Hell, I mined bitcoins with block erupters.

Shocked a woman miner  Shocked wow...that is rare Cheesy Care to snap a few shots of yer rigs? i wanna see yer hubbies work Smiley I'm in the middle of building a 5th/s KNC case...gona have a 1300cfm exhaust fan on it so no more worry'in bout heat for me Cheesy

Core migration complete.

WWW migration will take a little longer, as I'm going to wipe and re-purpose the old core DB server.

yay!! +1 we needz moar powah!!

Know this is off topic, but FYI:

Ordered a BFL Imperial Monarch (1TH/s version) on 03-04-2014.
BFL promised shipping by mid May (in writing).
Now 06-07-2014 no card in hand.
Asked for refund, turned down.

Hate getting stiffed for $3K.

Nothing changes with BFL.  I'd say you'll be lucky to receive it this year.

M

shouldn't you have said lucky if you receive it at all? hehe

650  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can anybody explain HW errors to me like I am a five year old?? on: June 07, 2014, 04:09:46 PM
Could HW errors stem from a pool as well?

No, the pool is just giving your machine something to work on and gets the result. While the pool has hardware, the pool itself does not do the calculation. Even if the pool would do some calculations your machine should not be able to detect if any other machine makes calculation mistakes. That would be like me checking whether your CPU is fine just because I download data from you via bittorrent (or something else)

can error be mining software

Yes the software can be flawed, but most mining software out there is heavily used by many people. Those errors are most likely fixed in all current versions of miner software. Theoretically the software could be corrupted, but thats not likely. Its more likely that the software wouldnt run at all if it was corrupted.

hehe i take it you don't have knc machine then...we waited for at least 5 months for them to fix the cgminer in the FW to correct the flawed hw errors Sad
651  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: June 07, 2014, 04:33:26 AM
what better place to ask this then the tinkering hobbyist thread Cheesy I have 22 KNC modules that i want to turn into one big unit and expel all the hot air to the outside...been trying to think of a design that'll be the best and what i think might do it is make a big square...have them all blow the hot air into the middle and have a 900cfm exhaust fan suck all the hot air up and away...think that would be the easiest/best thing to make? the middle would be sealed the best i could with wood n chalk...wondering if i would even need a a/c unit if this is run in a basement...if all the heat is getting removed then they really should only suck in cool basement air...or at least room temp air and that should be good nuff....worse case i'd just pop a wall a/c in and try and vent the cool air over to the 4 sides...somehow...so what do you guys think?

good find...now that would be something great to start off with Smiley

Looks like someone just added ~2,400 Th/s to the pool since the last block.  Up to 9,500 Th/s total now.

probably that guy that just hops around from pool to pool...wonder why they just don't stick to one pool?
655  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6600Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB (New Thread) on: June 04, 2014, 10:55:49 PM
what is better on eligius pool with knc hardware november batch:

Cgminer? If yes why?

BFGminer? If yes why?

On my super jupiters drops the hashrate 30% when using bfgminer. Why, I donīt know.

Thx for help.

How can I see, how much Namecoins are on my account.

how long are you waiting before you figure your losing 30% hashrate? bfgminer does take awhile to get upto speed...i've had varied different success with bfgminer...sometimes it would be slower then cgminer or sometimes it would be faster...idk but i think the poolside hashrate stays the same so thats all i care about Cheesy
656  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6600Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB (New Thread) on: June 04, 2014, 02:10:30 AM
I've tried guild for 2weeks also at a time and i feel like i get a more constant rate with eligius...less ups n downs Smiley and the 2% fee sucks as well...wish i was running a pool with 2% fees hehe i'd be rich

I'm sure it costs a pretty penny to keep BTCG up and running as stable as he does.

On a different topic, luck wise.. Eligius is smoking hot right now.  More than compensates for that 14 hour block we had not that long ago.

10 blocks: 161%
12 hours: 112%
24 hours: 152%
7 days: 115%
30 days: 101%
90 days: 95%

M

EDIT: Was behind by an hour or so.. numbers now are:

147%
107%
145%
114%
101%
95%

Still hot!

M

i still bet he is pulling in a very decent salary running the pool...I'd gladly take his place if i could Cheesy
657  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [6600Th] Eligius: 0% Fee BTC, 105% PPS NMC, No registration, CPPSRB (New Thread) on: June 04, 2014, 01:03:41 AM
OK, I just went ahead and set the default/minimum work difficulty to 128.

This only really changes anything for miners < ~64Gh... and it just increases variance a little for them, doesn't decrease/increase payouts.  For anyone over 64Gh, no real difference except easier miner starts.

-wk

ty for this...when bringing 700gh/s online at diff 16 wasn't working to well...i bet the servers will be happier too Smiley

Concerning backup pools:

I have 8 S1s:
First 4: Eligius (pool 1); BTC (pool 2); Slush (pool 3)
Second 4: Slush (pool 1); Eligius (pool 2); BTC (pool 3)

Don't like using Slush for backup because you really get dinged because of pool-hopping perception.

Results for Eligius and Slush when both are working well about even. Sometimes one will have much better luck than the other but I noticed in the long run they put out about the same (even with the Slush fee).

But tried running BTC Guild as primary for 3 weeks and it just didn't seem to pay as much as Eligius and Slush. Possible BTC just had a bad 3 weeks but I was wondering if anybody else was seeing the same at BTC?

Since 5/11/14 there have been 28 payouts to Eligius wallet 18d3HV2bm94UyY4a9DrPfoZ17sXuiDQq2B unspent, at 25 coins and 600 a coin is 420,000.00 someone is planning a vacation and we will be the ones financing it but can you really blame them. It would be nice to find a pool that was totally without human weakness. Eligius is doing the best I'm sure and it can't be easy. I have been trying to do some programming myself to crack a wallet and that's minor compared to managing this monster. I even tried to set up solo mining with just one rig and a server and that was a waste of 5 days, but a lot learned. I have much more respect for people who can manage this and they deserve compensation even if a few kids and cats have to go hungry for a day.
Thanks for your hard work and service and please if you ever decide you have had enough and are going to retire at least have the balls and respect to let us know and say good bye. Not like some people that just up and disappear. Everyone has the right to better them selves and the current system denies most of us that opportunity even when we put in 40+ hours a week. I really believe that bitcoin is going to be that
vehicle that will better a lot of people that otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity. They current system is outdated and inefficient so something is gotta change and right now this is the only game going and it is really up to people such as yourself that dedicate their time and skill to better the system and keep people like me in the game. I will make my ROI in another month and after that it's all retirement funds. Anyways BLAH BLAH BLAH! Cheers and keep up the good work!

there is no way he is doing us wrong at all!!!  He is trying his hardest to fix everything and it takes time, if you don't trust WK then don't mine here Tongue ugh i'm so sick of ppl coming in here all the time n saying WK is going to do something bad...if he was i'm pretty sure he'd have done it already and not work his butt off trying to fix everything...we should be happy he is here n actually fixing stuff...unlike slushs pool, where something goes wrong, nothing happens, slush doesn't do crap for that pool anymore
