641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: History of Gambling From Ancient Times to the Digital Age on: September 04, 2023, 03:35:52 PM
Gambling history of countries worldwide is different from the moment it was born. We simply understand that gambling is easy to form. Each custom and each country will create various gambling regulations. We should realize Gambling is simply a game that anyone can play. For example, something as simple as predicting blue or red is also gambling. Today, the digital age helps players gradually find more similarities in gambling. I believe that as society develops more and more, countries will gather together a gambling game formed by the players themselves. Sometimes, remote places still preserve their country's traditional gambling games.
Well, as we move further into the future, traditional gambling games and establishments seem to fade away and new games and establishments and mostly online industries have taken over most gamblers these days prefer new games and platforms instead of old establishments and games for their gambling activities. The reason for that is the trends of today's era and the ease of access for gamblers that has been made simple by online gambling platforms.

Most of us don't even know what games people in old times used to play for gambling because they hardly continued after some time as people started to develop and come up with new gambling games and those who played those almost forgot about the previous games that they used to play.
642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: September 04, 2023, 09:18:03 AM
Beşiktaş won easily tonight. I thought it would be a tough game for Beşiktaş.

Adana Demirspor are currently beating Hatayspor 1-0. The first half is over.

The first half of Fenerbahçe-Ankaragücü game is over, the game is still a draw.
End of action packed fourth round with few interesting results as Fenerbahçe have full three points against Ankaragucu with 60th minute goal from Nigerian Osayi-Samuel was enough for them to stay at the top of the league table for few more weeks.

Adana Demirspor which was leading after end of the first half were lucky to have one point from this game as we have amazing fight back from Hatayspor which scored three goals in just 22 minutes and leading the match but sadly 90th minute own goal cut their full three points, and they are able to have just one point from this home game against Adana Demirspor, but good thing happen they are still unbeatable in this season with having six points from their first four games of this season.

We have no time frame for the postponed games but most chances after these games three big's will be at the top of the league table and fight until end of this season for the title.
643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop Events, Testnet Events is not an investment! on: September 03, 2023, 08:12:18 PM
Yes Testnet events are without investment and the user use the project function and give feedback so the project launch there mainnet so they give reward there early users .
Airdrop are different some Airdrops are full free without investment but some types Airdrop are need investment if anyone participate in this they are invest fund on Airdrop pay fee etc for minting bridge etc.
Maybe they don't require an investment (money) but you will still need to dedicated your time on them. I guess that is still considered as an investment. I have done a couple of them before and we are not require to give a feedback but as long as we already play around with the features of the platform, we are already qualified for a chance to win a reward.

Yes, I say that because I rarely get a reward from them so I think many of them works like a sweepstakes or something where they draw/raffle the winner randomly. It might still be part of the airdrops but only on a different category. Original airdrops only started from a simple task then a lot of variations have come out overtime. I still miss the old era of airdrops because my experience on them is much better than the others.
644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not going to $12k. on: September 03, 2023, 07:04:09 PM
$20k is where its gonna bottoms out, even we've seen $16k this year around but after the price recovering back i'm sure $20k is where people gonna bag it and thus gonna be the bottom of bitcoin.
even though this year i don't really think bitcoin gonna go past $30k since the current circumstance doesn't show that good.
but i'm sure though that in the future lik in 2024 and 2025 bitcoin gonna be regaining massive new all time high that gonna shocks many, bitcoin always known to make comeback after certain period of bearish run in which in this case
we've gotten too long of a bearish, and everyone is already making accumulation at the bottom i guess, so its only gonna go up in the next year though everything still uncertain.
I'm not even expecting it to go around $20k because the market isn't looking that weak at the moment. We have seen it going to $25k but then going back to around $28k after a few days and if it were to go lower, it would have gone there right after that. However, there can always be some negative news that might spread FUD and create a negative environment in the market and we all know what happens if something like that happens, people will start panic selling.

We can't stop panic sellers, there will always be some people who will start panicking when they see a small drop in the market and if they hear negative news. The reason for that is that they don't understand the market very well as they are new investors so they are afraid of losing their money.
645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 03, 2023, 06:32:59 PM
Three matches in a row Al-Nassr always won big by scoring more than 3 goals and this was in stark contrast to the two matches at the start of the season where they were only able to score 1 goal. Could it be that now the depth of the squad owned by Al-Nassr has begun to be evenly distributed and in fact they only conceded 1 goal in three matches. Al-Nassr's big win against Al-Hazm proved they can do just that again and this time Ronaldo got 1 goal and 2 assists for his partner. I think if they continue to be consistent, it is not impossible that Al-Nassr will be able to compete with Al-Hilla and Al-Ittihad again in the standings. The presence of Aymeric Laporte has proven successful in strengthening Al-Nassr's defense and this may also be one of the successful purchases from Al-Nassr.
Arrival of Sadio Mané and now combo of the Ronaldo and Mane is surely game changer for this club with now their average goal in last three games is impressive, and both legendary players are giving their best which make things interesting in coming weeks even situation is not easy for any team because at the top we have four teams which are doing good and with this competition is going to be full of action packed matches this will make Saudi League one of the most interesting leagues in coming years.

Al Nassr performance is having good improvement in last three matches and now in coming weeks they could be increase their ranking and performance as well right now we have only two teams with no defeats, but things could be really entertaining for the rest of this season.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market manipulation a common occurrence everywhere? on: September 03, 2023, 05:49:58 PM
Essentially, if there is no manipulator in a particular market, that market becomes sluggish and boring. There are a lot of markets now - and it takes a strong movement in a particular market to draw attention to it. Yes, manipulators are evil, but they are often a necessary evil.
That's a fact, a market that becomes totally stagnant becomes boring for traders since there won't be enough opportunities for profit and when there are fewer profit windows and the profit percentage becomes very small, people would eventually abandon that market and start looking for alternative markets for their trades and investments. This also applies to the cryptocurrency market, it becomes way too boring when the market starts to become stable for a long time.

That's why, it's important to have manipulators because they keep the market volatile and exciting for traders since volatility creates more profit windows and the opportunities keep pouring in which makes it a great market for traders who are short-term traders and like getting small but many profits every day or week.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest AI coins? on: September 02, 2023, 11:23:10 AM
Its now a trend that every 'talk of town' has some crypto token. I remember in last US presidential elections we have a TRUMPCOIN named after Mr. Donald Trump and the story goes on. I will suggest that its best to invest major portion of your capital in Bitcoin and only small portion into Alts like ETH, BNB etc.
Now AI coins are now popping up and anyone interested should go for it but only with capital he can afford to lose. They are hot products these days and good for short term investment.
Well, I wouldn't compare some of the AI coins that we have in the industry with meme coins or shitcoins that are created out of nowhere without any team or any project or anything to offer to the community other than the promises of potentially high returns on investments which barely happens with every one of them. Some AI coins are actually good and they have been created to serve some purpose and have good projects and teams backing them up.

However, I agree with what you say about everything that starts trending people start creating cryptocurrencies using their name hoping that the tokens will also get some hype and they can earn a lot of money once people start buying their tokens through any decentralized exchange or sometimes through the websites they create for their token sales.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When to invest in bitcoin on: September 01, 2023, 05:49:15 PM
Don't get stuck on the thought that Bitcoin's price will fall again and you will use that opportunity to fill up your bags. That opportunity may never come again. And I don't understand people talking about THE PERFECT TIME for Bitcoin investment. What is the perfect time for it? To me, any time you enter the market, that is your perfect time. Although it is only for long-term investment plans. In trading, you need to calculate the time, analyze the market, create strategies, etc. But Bitcoin is not a short-term asset. If you force it to become one, the results won't be flattering.

Buy and HODL. That's all there to it if you don't want to go through all the complications. You can invest whenever you like. Looking for dips and low prices will only make you lose opportunities. In long-term investment, these small price changes won't have huge impacts. So feel free to join whenever you like.
What makes you think that Bitcoin is not suitable for short-term trades? I believe if you have good capital and a firm understanding of the market to know when it is going up and when it will go down by reading charts and doing analysis, you can always find great scalping windows for Bitcoin in the market. A lot of traders are always earning a few percentages of profit every day only by scalping Bitcoin in the very small intervals that it moves up and down.

I understand that altcoins are generally more suitable for short-term trading and scalping because they are more volatile by nature and because of their price since they aren't as expensive as Bitcoin which makes them move up and down in greater numbers than Bitcoin and create more opportunities, but I feel Bitcoin can be used for that too.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: September 01, 2023, 10:48:03 AM
Lazio are not very strong in the Champions League this season and they could even be eliminated early if they fail to improve their performance. Lazio are currently slumped at the bottom of the standings after failing to win in the first two matches. For Atletico madrid, they are indeed the strongest in group E if you judge from the quality of their players.

Maybe for me the easiest group is Group H and it's easy to guess which team will win the group. Barcelona, Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Antwerp are the teams in Group H. Of course, Barcelona have easy opponents in the group phase and I think Barcelona can go further in the Champions League this season.
Lazio surely having one of the worst start in Italian league but many times we have completely different results in Champions League with teams can bring good performance in this event because here difference of quality is quite clear and Lazio is having good experience which can help them for having good performance against Feyenoord and Celtic with most chances for the second spot in this group we will have competition between Lazio and Feyenoord which is currently Dutch Champions.

Group A, G, and H are looking relatively easiest because few teams are having no enough sources to face these giants they are still capable for creating upsets and surprises which is famous in Champions League with Group C is also looking settled for the Real Madrid and Napoli because these both are superior in quality from their opponents.
650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 01, 2023, 08:18:33 AM
Olympique Marseille is ranked second on the Ligue One table, they're competing with Monaco who's sitting at the first position. Checking out I didn't see PSG in the crucial positions, moreover it's very early to start concluding on the club's that would be in the race to fight for the domestic league title.
Despite it being too early to start concluding, I have seen improvement in some teams that will be challenging to pgs in this on-going Ligue 1 competition, especially Monaco and Marseille, which I have seen how they have performed over three matches now. It is not new to me that PSG have been the club dominating their league competition trophy for some seasons now, but I am thinking that maybe they have lost some of their experienced key players and it may not look out this season because of the three of their matches I have watched, I am not really impressed with their performances, especially when mbappe is absent on the field, so I believe if mbappe goes down with any injury, it will really affect them, and other teams may take advantage of that.
Most chances this season is going to be better than many we have in last few years because right now situation is not good at the PSG and start of the season is impressive for the Monaco and Marseille which are looking for the better fight for the title and now improving their quality which is important for the title race as well even Mbappé return creating advantage for the PSG but still many other things are also creating good interest for the fans which are feeling bore due to one team dominance in this league.

Few teams and their performances are surely disappointed but hopefully in coming weeks we will have good improvement because now few clubs are investing funds for the better players which can bring good changes and this could be also good for the French league because improvement of quality and challenging fight for the title is good for the entertainment.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong officially launches its first Bitcoin and crypto trading platform on: August 31, 2023, 08:34:51 PM
In light of this, what potential value will this add to the people of Hong Kong. This platform is a centralized exchange and will be regulated by the government in the country. Do you think this move is a good one for the crypto adoption there and won’t the government be so strict with the use owing that it will be regulated by them fully?

This is a good move to crypto adoption in that region since it’ll gain more use and popularity there. Privacy of ownership while trading with those platforms will be very limited. Overall, I think it is still a good development looking to the mass adoption of bitcoin we are anticipating for.
A person who uses centralized exchanges cannot be concerned about the privacy or security of their personal details and information because almost all the centralized exchanges are regulated by central authorities and they can always have all the information they require about any user if they ask a centralized exchange for it. So, I don't think that it is much of a concern if the exchange is regulated by the government as that is now a normal thing.

This can actually be a good thing if we see it from an adoption perspective since a lot of people who might have not been able to get into crypto just because of lack of accessibility will now be able to get on board using the exchange which will have a positive impact on the overall adoption level of cryptocurrencies.
652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will $25,000 give way this time? on: August 31, 2023, 07:19:21 PM
Short-term investors were badly affected by this situation. Now the question is whether the Bitcoin price will go even lower or will it stay here and rise. There is a repeat buying opportunity for the long-term investor. Negative news affects Bitcoin, but it's up to us not to panic sell. Bitcoin shouldn't be too affected by such news. Compared to the past, it often achieves this, but the risks may be higher for the short-term investor.
Whenever Bitcoin prices rises or falls there are always those who get affected and there are still those who benefits from it so it’s just as you said, it is left to us to decide whether to panic or not. Short term investors will actually suffer from such sudden fall and it made some to panic sell. Bitcoin movement as always been like this, we saw worse in the past and it bounced back so I don’t think there is any reason to panic instead we should make use of the opportunity to keep buying.

I still feel we could still see the price drop even more and we could see bitcoin price drop to around $23,000 to $21,000.
The behavior of a Bitcoin investor on its price actions basically depends on their beliefs regarding the cryptocurrency. Those who believe in it and know it has the potential to overcome these drops and dips can never panic but they will make use of the opportunities as much as they can. On the other hand, those who are new in the market and don't understand Bitcoin and the market very well will surely panic seeing their portfolios dropping value.

About the market and the price of Bitcoin, I also believe that we might see a further decline from this range and I don't really see it going back to where it was before the dip, most of the retail investors don't look confident, and not investing, a lot of them are panic selling, so this can cause a slight drop.
653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder are not maximizing the bitcoin potential on: August 30, 2023, 07:11:02 PM
I don't know which hodlers are you talking about, but if you're discussing about true hodlers of crypto, then mind well that if they come into the market with their bags of btc, they have the power to ridiculously move it down and nobody will be able to beat that action and make btc claim these high prices back. I think what they are doing is for the good of crypto, so let us not criticize them for their actions and keep taking advantage of the current market situation on our own. Wink
Old or new HODLers has their own reason on why they can't buy on a good opportunity like what we have now. We don't know what they are going through so we shouldn't judge them. I think you are also talking about the whales here mate. Whales can be a different kind of breed. They can't be a HODLer but they can sell their assets immediately right after they manipulate the markets.

The one that can beat them are also their co-whales. We small-scale investors can just go with the flow. We can buy once the price dumps and sell once it pumps. That is how easy to make money here. The market doesn't necessarily need the whales and it will be a better place without them.
654  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not going to $12k. on: August 30, 2023, 06:35:54 PM
nah! Absolutely not!
I'm getting the sense of a usual bear market atmosphere. Personally, I'm not convinced that Bitcoin will go under $20k, but it looks like there's an opportunity to accumulate at a lower price. This is the moment between market lows and bullish. Bull markets make people rich, but become wealthy in bear markets. We should not allow the bottom to not only drop, but take the benefits as well.
BTC movements are unexpected. Even it is pumping it can suddenly dump hard but now that we are still at a bearish situation, the more the chance that we can reach that price ( $12k ). A fall in the price is really an opportunity for us investors and it's better to not be greedy and wait for more dips but you can set aside a little fund just in case the price falls evenly.

You can't get rich without a bear or a bull. So both of them are needed. We don't or we can't control the price. The price can just drip continuously if it wants to, but we can scratch our heads if we haven't prepared a budget for it. There are also people who have money but are not buying. In fact they are scared. These people are not briefed properly before they start.
655  Economy / Economics / Re: Running faucet business in 2023 still possible? on: August 29, 2023, 06:55:59 PM
Of course, if a person has no money at all, the pennies he earns on faucets are not bad money for him. But I think that there are other ways to earn money - for example, solving captcha. And cranes - it's just a waste of time now - it used to be different, but the time has already passed
You don't even earn pennies from faucets these days. The most popular faucet right now is freebitco.in, and the minimum it gives to a claimer per hour is 2 Satoshis which is about $0.00026, so I don't think that anyone would waste their time claiming dust from a website even if it requires just 10 seconds for a single claim it still requires you to open the website and claim the reward every time, so I don't find this to be a viable business solution at all.

The times when faucet websites were used heavily by users was when Bitcoin wasn't this popular and wasn't priced this high, so people used to claim Bitcoin from multiple faucets only to get a dollar or maybe 50 cents per day which was at least something which isn't possible these days.
656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Airdrop Scam on Trust Wallet via Links on: August 29, 2023, 06:12:16 PM
Beginners beware of Airdrops that will redirect you to their website through the provided link around the shiny coins you see on your wallet, where you will be required to fill in informations in other to claim the reward, follow the instructions as provided above and avoid their website as it leads to scam if any information is provided.
This doesn't only happen in TrustWallet, you can find such scams on Twitter a lot and on Telegram as well, very rarely on Facebook as well. So almost all the social media platforms are covered by these scammers, they pay some money and run ads on their accounts they create on these social media platforms and then earn money by scamming people by luring them into their websites with fake promises of giving away NFTs and tokens and other valuable stuff.

Those who understand that there is a catch behind these will basically avoid them and move on, but newbies that don't have much experience actually think that they might get something from them and that is what makes them fall in their trap and then they regret after they have been scammed.
657  Economy / Speculation / Re: How did you see BTC in future? on: August 29, 2023, 05:45:40 PM
Even though the current short term bitcoin looks very difficult but I'm optimistic that the solution to get big profits is to be patient and hold for the long term, the number of users that continues to increase is an indication that the future of bitcoin will always be good and promising.
The question of future goodness in Bitcoin has indeed been proven, because Bitcoin is more than ten years old. So that everyone who already knows Bitcoin well enough will also have no qualms about holding Bitcoin, especially if they have seen how Bitcoin has developed from year to year. And it certainly still exists in Bitcoin so that everyone still wants to hold it for the long term with the dream of getting bigger profits, even though for now everyone still sees the difficulty of increasing the price of Bitcoin.
Well, we shouldn't really refer to current market conditions as difficulty for Bitcoin as it is basically a part of the process and the cycle, we all know that the price of Bitcoin moves in a cycle where it goes up and then goes down and that is repeated again after every cycle reaches the end. So, if we get happy when the price goes up significantly, we should understand that there is nothing to be worried about when the price goes down which we are seeing now.

However, I understand that new investors can panic or feel sad when they see bad market conditions because they might lack knowledge and experience about the market, but experienced and seasoned investors shouldn't have any problems since they already know how the market actually works.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: August 28, 2023, 07:14:39 AM
Everything changed in the last 10 minutes of the match and Liverpool managed to win this match. Even though 10 people played for most of the game, thanks to Darwin Nunez, they scored 2 goals in 10 minutes and won the match we were starting to think they would lose.
Newcastle United also played quite well but missed many opportunities, while Liverpool made a great comeback in the last minutes Smiley
We missed watching matches like this, I hope to watch pleasant match endings during the season
Darwin Nunez if you remember didn't get a promising starts of life in the Premier League but it feels good to watch him grow Into that player we never imagined he would become.
Scoring these kind of goals amke you big players and game deciders. This is just his start with Salah pressuring the move he will be the perfect leader of the attack alongside Luis Diaz. Those chances missed by Newcastle showed they don't have what it takes to win that game.
He was under serious criticism after arriving at huge transfer fees and mostly were calling he is overrated player but just this one match completely change his all career because this is one of the best win in his career, and now he can lead from the front for this club Liverpool while you are playing as trailing by one goal and also having one player short here we need only miracles and this happen simply for the visitors, and they are now one of the best teams for the season with just this result.

Now this new Liverpool trio can bring positive change in their attack and with this surely they will be felt comfortable as well because recently they lost their few top players and things were not as expected but most chances all will be better in coming days.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 28, 2023, 06:16:10 AM
Juventus lol, played at home but the final result was only a draw and in fact, it looks like Juventus also almost lost. I think, because Juventus in the previous match won big and moreover in the previous match Juventus played away. Then of course, I think Juventus will win easily in the home match because the opponent is only Bologna. Because after all, in the previous match Bologna also lost by Milan with a score of 2-0. So yes, with this not optimal result then of course, I think it's too soon to judge Juventus will return to title track. Because after all, in this match it has also been seen that at least Juventus is still difficult to be consistent and yes, Juventus still does not fully have a promising performance.
After having impressive start of this season against Udinese things were looking much better than last season and mostly fans were also feeling they will win this game easily, but we have early goal from the Bologna and then all were completely down and out of the game just Vlahović were in the game for the home side all other players were playing like crap but thanks to Vlahović who score equalizer in 80th minute and Juventus able to have one point at the Allianz Stadium.

They need to change their mentality otherwise things can go again on wrong side, and they also can face troubles which will hurt them badly because it's good time for them to secure their best place for the future and also have good consistency in the game which helps them for staying at the top.
660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: August 27, 2023, 08:22:12 PM
Privacy is a necessary feature in my opinion, but why hasn't Monero become a main coin?
Monero is genius, it does everything you require from a privacy coin. Unfortunately its strengths have led to its downfall in the hopes of becoming a main coin. Governments hate it & regulators have threatened exchanges with operating bans in their jurisdictions if they list XMR. That has meant exchanges have delisted XMR & that’s the reason why the price isn’t as high as it should be.

It’s a great coin for anonymity but it will never be a main coin sadly.
It's because it's a privacy coin, so what do you expect? But is it true that Monero is hoping to be a main coin? But good for it that it didn't succeed because for us, Bitcoin is still the best even though it isn't fully private and besides there are still a Bitcoin mixer now that can make it more anonymous. But like Monero, governments also hate mixers so they are also hunting them down one by one.

Monero is lucky that some exchange still lists it and it still have some value left @OP, you are wrong. Monero is actually a popular crypto even up to now. It's one of the oldest and the best before but like what @deathangel said here, the coin is slowly deteriorating.
