Sevilla came from nowhere to win this title which is surely one of the most amazing thing we have in last few years because in start of this season mostly peoples after watching their performance feeling they could be relegated as early half of this season they were in relegation zone but next half was surely impressive with they fight back in La Liga and also having win against teams like Manchester United and Juventus in UEFA Europa Cup which bring them into limelight, and now they are winners in this competition draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford was the turning point for them in this event and win because after trailing by 2 - 0 until last few minutes no one was having any feeling about them to win, but they have done and achieve this amazing win which is surely now proud moment for them.
Previously, Sevilla were not the favorites at all in this tournament. But who would have thought they were able to finish so brilliantly. The Europa League doesn't seem to want to be separated from the Spanish representative, luck always overshadows them. However, judging from the obstacles they went through, the Rojiblancos really deserved it. AS Roma have also struggled to the fullest, they seem to have become the strongest team in Europe since being handled by Jose Mourinho. I don't want to be involved in the discussion regarding the controversial accusations against the referee because the title already belongs to Sevilla. But what is certain is that I really appreciate the hard work of these two teams. @TheGreatPython I’m not entirely surprised that they won because they have some incredible luck in this competition and thus they always were going to have that psychological advantage and it did boost their confidence as the match headed into the penalties. Furthermore I thought that Mourinho’s record of winning the finals would inspire Roma player’s but I was wrong and Sevilla held their ground to win the tournament. |

I don't doubt Manchester City will win this final either, but it's football and it's only one game. The result could turn out to be the opposite of what was expected. For example a red card or a penalty. Inter are not a weak team either and have played well in recent games. I think this final will be very interesting.
There are so many metricts that will be greatly affecting the performance from the club but my concern was on the starting line up. In my opinion that if manchester city gonna use same line ups like when it was facing manchester united in the final of FA cup. Intermilan can learn from manchester united. Intermilan just need to be even better in the defensive line compared with manchester united. Im sure that if intermilan gonna use lukaku instead of dzeko as this guy is always able helping team mates to give free space while he was holding one or more players on his line. I don't think Argentina is looking to continue using Messi in their national team. It's basically all gone now, they won the world cup with him, that's him retiring in glory. Looking for a new striker to regenerate is indeed important but the presence of Benzema in the squad will also obviously be very influential especially for now there is no one who can replace his role.
One more season with Madrid, I don't think it's too much of a problem, indeed for now there will be offers that will come but on the other hand I don't really feel that Madrid will let go so quickly, especially since there isn't someone new who is worthy of replacing him.
Rumors to the Saudi Arabian Club seem certain, it's just that for now Benzema will still focus on completing his legacy in Madrid. This season we had a weird season in Serie A because Napoli won the league while they had also a huge gap between them and other teams, also in Napoli, we saw many young players like Osimhem who get a small number of salaries while other similar players are getting a huge amount of salaries other teams and this young player is definitely going to leave Napoli to a great team at the end of this season.
The other weird thing about this game was mostly because of what we saw about Juventus where they lost points two times and they had an unstable situation because of that.
The Juventus drama is indeed enough to attract anyone's attention because their performance this season in Serie A has been extraordinary. Yes, Napoli did well in this season that made some of their potential players got attracted by other great team which they are fully interested in having them in their team next season with huge amount of salary. I think, Juventus president will still give another opportunity to their coach to improve well next season, because they started well in this season before they started giving chance to other teams to reduced their points.
Without the contribution of Osimhen goal, Napoli will not win a trophy this season. Napoli is more likely to retain this player than sell him to another club. There is an FA Cup finale ahead which is only two days later. Manchester City and Manchester United are going to be fighting over the title in Wembley. These teams both are teams that have achieved a title already. While Manchester City were winning the Premier League title, Manchester United won the EFL Cup. It is a big opportunity for each side to make double.
However Manchester City come a few steps forward in this game in my opinion. Because there is still going to be a week to go for the Champions League finale so they can start with all of their usual players. As we all know how prestigious cup the FA Cup is they would do their best to win this game. I don't think Manchester United can surprise them in this game.
It will be very challenging because both clubs are competing in the championship game, but just because Manchester City is competing in the Champions League doesn't mean they won't use their favorite players; they will use any of their favorite players because it is the championship game. Since Manchester City has talented players, they can still perform well the following day even if they play today. I am aware, though, that Manchester United is equally good this year and has a chance to capture the championship. Although both clubs are from the same branch and can play each other, I'd like us to focus on Manchester City's performance instead because it appears that no team will be able to defeat them without much difficulty this season. Pep will always want to choose his major priority, He might not want to risk his main stars to injury ahead of the Champions League finals he has laboured so hard for this season. All though his strategies are sometimes conceived till few hours to the competition, but even at that I doubt City will be using major players and even if he does he will make sure they don't get exhausted, it will be their shortest interval game, it might even be a rush game and if City succeeds in scoring during the early minutes of the game they will just return and play defensive till the end of the game since points don't count but win. I think Guardiola knows already how important it is the game they are going to have against Inter Milan and that's why I think you are right Pep Guardiola will even save some players and give them rest in the final match against Manchester United to have a fresh team against Inter Milan since we saw a bad performance from Manchester United I think even if Guardiola give some rest to some players they can still easily win that game against Manchester United. Galtier will have an even worst season if he stays in PSG for the next season because Galtier couldn't have good performance even after hiring superstar players is PSG while in the next season, I think most of the players like Messi and Neymar will leave PSG ro anther teams and without these players, Galtier will even have harder days in PSG which means he needs to start seeking for alternative players for Messi and other players which can't be easy for any team.
Isn't it that Messi and Neymar don't make a difference to qualify for the UCL final let alone win it, PSG failed in the UCL this season and if Galtier stays of course it's a bit complicated to find replacement players, but actually PSG need to overhaul all their players both from their back line and their front line to increase a strong defense as well as a front line for attack power that can produce goals. I wouldn't say that the problem with Brazil is their national league. Look at Croatia. They have very poor national league, but the national team is one of the best in the world. Majority of national team players play in strong European leagues like Premiership so they bring much quality to the national team. I would say that with Brazil it's similar. Their star players (Casemiro, Richarlison, Thiago Silva...) are all playing in the top European clubs.
I would say that lack of team bonding is one of the issues with Brazil. Their players are immensely talented. But since they play for different clubs in different leagues, the players are not very familiar with each other. And this creates issues while playing as a team. On top of that, I don't have a good opinion about the current Brazilian coach. Carlo Ancelotti is about to replace Tite (Adenor Leonardo Bacchi), but I am not expecting much. Management has been quiet poor with the Brazil national team for the last 5-6 years, I would say. @Sithara007 who said that Ancelotti is taking up the Brazil job because he’s already planning for Real Madrid’s upcoming season hence he won’t be coaching the Brazil team anytime soon. Emotional decisions are not going to help the PCB. At the most, the ICC may impose a financial penalty on the BCCI as well as the PCB. The former will be able to pay the fine, but the latter will be in a disadvantageous position. PCB bosses need to take a practical decision and not an emotional one. The best thing to do now is to shift the Asia Cup out of Pakistan and then ask for a financial compensation from the ACC. PCB needs to wait for their turn. Right now, it is the BCCI that dominates both the ICC and ACC, and there is not much the PCB can do about it.

He's ruled out due to the hamstring injury. So in all probability it will be Shubman Gill along with Rohit Sharma. Unless any of these two get injured, I don't think that there will be any chances for Jaiswal. Anyway, I am quite excited about this match, especially after watching the fightback from Australia during the BGT (last two tests). All they need to do is to elevate Steven Smith to the post of captaincy. If Pat Cummins remains as the captain, then I don't have much expectation from the Australians. Steve Smith knows how to handle the Indians and he proved that during the Border–Gavaskar Trophy. Yeah, Gill and Rohit are locked and yeah agreed on Jaiswal, virtually no chance atm. Well right now they are not going the change the captain but there might be some possibility if Aussie faces a humiliating defeat in the upcoming Ashes. @JSRAW I hope that Gill can bring his IPL form in this match but I’m equally worried that Rohit is no longer good enough to play for the Indian team and I doubt that he’ll score big in this upcoming match. Also while Smith is a good captain but changing the captain now would not be a wise call as Australia will need him to be properly motivated for this match and this demotion will definitely hurt him and effect his form. |

This game is very much important for both teams but Mourinho needs to beat Sevilla and this can be even more important for him because as a famous and experienced coach, he didn't achieve anything with Roma this season also he didn't get a good place in the table.
That's why I think Mourinho is under pressure to somehow beat Sevilla in the final match and take the Europa League title for his team.

I'm not going to rule out Inter Milan even though it's a very low chance they have. What you said is also true, but that's a little exaggerated in my opinion, I understand why you say that, that's because Manchester City's performance is in a very good performance, but that doesn't mean Inter Milan can't do things that can make Manchester City lose, right? ? If Inter Milan could find the right formula to stop the strategies and movements of Manchester City's players, they could have won that game.

And things are not as simple as we think of things. Manchester City may be the favorites for the Champions League final but they will have to work hard and if one mishap happens the outcome of this match could be anything. Inter Milan have to consider Manchester City a very strong opponent. As a strong opponent, all the plans that need to be made against Inter Milan must be done in the final match. If they can play with their best, then Manchester City will be far ahead of the chances of winning the UEFA Champions League trophy. @Litzki1990 while other’s are backing City I’m going to back Inter because they have player’s like Lukaku who can beat City defences and score goals on the counter. Ronaldo recently said that the Saudi Professional League could become a force and will be among the top five leagues in the world. But he also said that they are literally lacking players and infrastructure. Now how will that ever be sustainable when they need to pay a few hundred million in salaries per year in order to convince the stars to go there? The sheikhs would be better off buying their clubs in the European leagues and go from there. Establishing the SPL as one of the top five leagues is a bottomless pit.
Reaching the top 5 position on the list of popular football leagues were really tough. The leagues played on Europe have got big history followed by the follower base. Saudi Arabia Pro League have got big history, but the player involvement is very minimal. Maybe over the years the participation of more world class players will make it more popular. The participation of Ronaldo itself have added more popularity to the league. For his presence a good number of people have started watching it. When more such players make contract with different teams, the league becomes more popular. However reaching within the five is still a question? One major problem for the Saudi Professional League is that not may professional players would want to live there for many years. Many professional players appreciate the Western free lifestyle. They would go there for two or three years and some maybe longer, but it will take a lot of time in my opinion until young talents would decide to go to the SPL before they had a great career in Europe, living in England or Spain or other places. Is is also the whole European socer ecosystem that you can't quickly copy with a few billion dollars. Ronaldo says that about SPL becoming top 5 because it is his job to do that. When you get paid half a billion dollars, why not just say it and then think who cares. He probably knows it is not realistic. SPL would have to be among England, Spain, Germany, Italy and maybe France or Portugal. What a thrilling final match!!
No one expected CSK to win the 5th IPL trophy. The last two overs, I mean the last two balls were so intense. Sir Jadeja again proved why he is such an important player for the Indian team.
When the rain started I had a feeling that GT will easily win the finals. I never ever imagined that Jadeja will snatch that win from the hands of Hardik Pandya.
Sai Sudarshan another a 21 year old batter was the reason GT got those 214 runs. The highest ever target in IPL final history. Sad that his team was not able to capatalize his power hitting and agressive batting.
Looking at 214 runs in the first innings of tomorrow's final match of IPL, one would assume that Gujarat Titans will undoubtedly win, but then if the rain comes and reduces the runs by DLS system and if they give a target of 171 runs in 15 overs, then it can be more safely assumed that Gujarat Titans will win. But Ravindra Jadeja, who batted in the last over, turned the entire match against that thinking, with ten runs in the last two balls, he showed that the old men are as pure as gold. Sudarshan's innings for tomorrow's match will undoubtedly go down in the record books but luck was not in his favour. Undoubtedly he should have been selected man of the match for tomorrow's match. @NicNacCoin when the first day got washed away I was disheartened because I knew that if rains played spoiled sport then GT would win it due to them occupying the top spot but when the match resumed on the reserve day I felt it was over for CSK as chasing 214 would be very difficult. However MSD had other plans and he made sure that his player’s executed them very well and there was a rumour that Jadeja will leave CSK and if they yet allow him to leave after yesterday’s performance then their fan's won’t forgive the owner’s. |
