641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you arrange a meet up or make a gathering with local bitcoin community? on: October 13, 2019, 10:54:24 PM
I havent tried it. It is for the reason that I have so many things to do and I have no time for that. But it is a good thing to do! It will help to spread bitcoin, and all of us want that. But before in class I have telling my classmates about it(even me, I had know bitcoin because of another classmates), they are at first hesitant and doubtful but when I show some evidences, they began to be curious.
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statistics: Geez, I thought there were more females in bitcoin community on: October 13, 2019, 10:16:44 PM
I can say two things. First thing, this is just a survey. It is like a random sampling, which means only those people who had been survey and those who are willing to answer it are those who are in the graph. It means that it can alter the real numbers. Second thing, I don't think it is really important to have demographs here in crypto. Cryptocurrencies is for all.
643  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Small-time tech shops accept Bitcoin as payment on: October 13, 2019, 07:48:58 PM
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity VS tracing transactions. on: October 13, 2019, 07:02:09 PM
So you're basically comparing fiat over bitcoin. My answer is I think it depends. Anonymity of bitcoin (pseudoanonimity, I mean), is good because you are not being monitored yet you cannot get back your money even you have done a mistake. Tracing transactions of fiat, you can be tracked yet you can get your money back. It depends on the situation to decide what's better.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Cryptocurrency? on: October 13, 2019, 10:43:18 AM
It's simply Bitcoin,y'all should stop the propaganda
Nope, it is not bitcoin. Bitcoin is just the first bitcoin to achieve triumph or success. There are other older cryptocurrency but they did not accomplished what bitcoin have accomplished. Maybe it is for the reason that it is bitcoin whose first introduced the decentralized idea whose other cryptocurrency do not.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are big leaders now opposing cryptocurrencies suddenly? on: October 13, 2019, 08:53:11 AM
Hmm, you have only mentioned Trump and it is even just a single tweet then you are generalizing that big leaders are opposing cryptocurrencies suddenly? I don't think so. It is not true that many big leaders are against crypto, some even didnt know its existence. I am not a hater of crypto though, I am just stating some facts.
649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's next for bitcoin ? on: October 13, 2019, 08:20:57 AM
I dont think we need to focus on world affair just to be become mainstream. I mean, there is no single entity that is fully controlling bitcoin so doing that, all crypto users cannot do that because they can do whatever they want, unless some rich crypto user will do it and promote bitcoin at the same time.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin ATM is increasingly widespread? on: October 13, 2019, 07:42:24 AM
The bitcoin automated machine itself is a good idea. It is because it didn't just cater people who are into cryptocurrency, but it is also advertising crypto in a way.Obviously it will draw out some curiosities out of people who will see it. I think the only problem with it is the fee because I think it is quite high.
651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not a "store of value" or "medium of exchange" ... on: October 12, 2019, 08:41:31 PM
I think it could be both, or it could be even none of those, depending on the person. You can treat it as a store of value, a medium of exchange, or both, or neither of the two because you treat it as a speculative investment. And that's the beauty of it. No one decides who will it be. It depends on the person.
652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin mixers be considered illegal by worldwide governments? on: October 12, 2019, 12:55:23 PM
I dont think that would happen in the near future. Maybe some strict countries like China and the like will do it, but worldwide? No. Most of countries' government even didnt care about bitcoin. it is just that some people hype bitcoin so much that they think government hates bitcoin. I mean, I dont hate bitcoin, I love it so much that is why Im here but let's be honest, most governments really didnt care about bitcoin's existence.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 12, 2019, 12:23:21 PM
I heard that there are some companies that are doing that, and they have different interest rates,  but I wouldnt recommend someone to have that. It is for the reason that it is somewhat risky. There are some bad stories about it, and I think it is better to be safe than to earn some interest rates but risking your keys.
654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin equal Blockchain? on: October 12, 2019, 11:48:19 AM
Obviously, no, bitcoin is not the same as blockchain. Blockchain is the technology behind bitcoin, while bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency which we all know is the most dominant and popular cryptocurrency available. Blockchain technology is complex to teach here, better research about it. Try to research so that all your questions would be answered properly.
655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wait, who owns the market? on: October 12, 2019, 11:12:07 AM
I think when we talk about the market as a whole, there is no one that is owning or controlling it. Again, bitcoin is decentralized and no one has an absolute control on it. But when we talk about someone who has a great influence on the market, then that's a different issue because the government, some powerful personalities, and the likes are influencing the market.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking system and BTC on: October 12, 2019, 08:28:00 AM
Hello traders. What's your opinion could BTC kill banking system? Bitcoin has an advantage over fiatbecause its amount is limited and it can't fall under inflation.Inflation usually is caused by monetary policies of our central banks. Bitcoin is free from inflation, governement control and  high transaction fees.Banks can’t control BTC because it has no representative and is fully decentralized. That's why banks are afraid of BTC.
Bitcoin wouldnt and couldnt kill banking system. Yes in some aspects bitcoin has really an advantage but that wouldnt make it kill banks per se. Many people still trust banks and it is almost close to impossible for bitcoin to kill banks for that. I just hope someday they can coexist, like?
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Croatian post office now offer crypto exchange on: October 12, 2019, 07:32:21 AM
A milestone is still a milestone. This is a good news considering that the countries post office is the one that offer crypto exchange, or should I say adopt bitcoin so you cn send a letter. Even it looks like just a simple or a small accomplishment, it is still adoption, and adoption is a milestone for us. We hope for future potential adoptions and who knows what will be the next?
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Used Computer Equipment For CryptoCurrency Unsafe? on: October 12, 2019, 02:44:37 AM
I know many people store their crypto in their hardware wallets.  Some store it on their computers.  Some have a computer solely for crypto to be safe.

First off, is buying anything that used for the computer unsafe if you plan to store crypto in it?  Example buying a used laptop but then doing a complete factory reset and wiping everything?  Or could a hacker still put a virus/keylog in it?

Now what about other things?  Like imagine buying a used wireless mouse or keyboard.  What about a wired mouse or keyboard?  Or maybe even a used modem or wireless router?  Is it possibly to get a virus/hack keylogged if buying anything like this used?  I thought modem/router possible because well its connecting to the internet?  Obviously something like a used monitor cannot cause anything like this right?  What about a used usb cable connecting your modem to your computer?  A used flash drive definitely for sure?  But you should never have an issue if its a new one right?

With a wired mouse or keyboard, could someone just install something inside it or something and you get keylogged etc?  What if say you left your keyboard with someone and say that person is a hacker and then install something into it.  Then when you plug it into your computer, could you get hacked?

What about a modem or router?  Could someone install something inside it where when you connect to the internet, they see everything you type etc?  Like i know hackers put out fake wifi so if say a starbucks or hotel is there, you connect to it thinking its that wifi but its actually a hacker putting the name to trick you etc.  Then you connect to it and they see all your credit card info.

Obviously you should buy things new.  But if its a modem or router or computer, if you do a factory reset, does that 100 percent wipe everything clean?  I heard of cases where people would install trojans in other people laptops without them knowing.  The person then later access their laptop or notice things got hack etc.

Thoughts on all this?  Now let just say its not for crypto but just regular email and banking and everything else.  Is buying any of these things used foolish?  Or imagine just borrowing a wireless mouse or modem from someone such as a friend or acquaintance... but their intention was they know you had crypto and put a virus on the modem or mouse.  Thoughts on this?

So could you get hacked/keylogged on

1.  Wireless Mouse or Keyboard
2.  Wired Mouse or Keyboard
3.  Modem or Router
4.  Monitor
5.  USB Flash Drive
6.  Ram

From this list, i know USB Flash Drive is 100 percent because you can store files there.  Thus if a hacker has your laptop, they could just plug the flash drive in and put a virus/keylog and then leave your computer as is and then you access it and you have no clue right?

I assume the only one in this list which is impossible would be a monitor right?

But what about a used modem or router or mouse or keyboard?  I assume wireless increases chances a lot than wired right?

I think it is completely safe to buy used computer equipment for you cryptocurrency activities if you have formatted it. All files will be deleted and no remnants will be seen or used. Obviously, the monitor, mouse, Ram, and keyboard have no way to store information. They don't have memory. Just make sure not to surf to sites that have a virus because there is a possibility there for someone to hack your account.
659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin The King Of Crypto on: October 12, 2019, 02:03:21 AM
Well, it is not surprising to see that chart. Bitcoin will always be the most dominant cryptocurrency available. It will take almost a miracle for some coin to overtake bitcoin. It is for the reason that being the first successful coin, people felt that it is bitcoin that is the more reliable coin. Also, companies and the likes had adopted bitcoin more than other coins.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you can have a dinner with Mr Satoshi on: October 11, 2019, 10:19:00 PM
I would love to hear from him what brought him to create this technology we are enjoying now. How hard was it for him to do it. Also, I would like to ask him, what is his purpose on creating blockchain technology? Is just for him to earn money? Did he have some other envisions? What is his vision in creating this technology?
