203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities using Bitcoin today? on: January 29, 2020, 06:05:01 AM
Good to know that some celebrities are using bitcoin today because it would be a great help for us if they will promote or introduced it to their fans so that the crypto community grow more. In fact there are really a lot of celebrities who are using bitcoin right now but they are hiding theirselves that they are using bitcoin for them to protect their image as a celebrities.
I have also see a lot of social influencers that are using bitcoin and in fact they are also doing some trading and they are introducing it to a lot of people especially on youtube in which their subscribers are following them.
204  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto - New theory on: January 28, 2020, 11:11:52 AM
New theory again? Again I will repeat what I am saying for the past years especially when there are someone who claims that they are the real Satoshi Nakamoto. It is really imposible to find satoshi nakamoto right now because it has been a tough years since the bitcoin was invented and still if you will be the Satoshi Nakamoto and you are seeing that the value of bitcoin is currently pumping up then why you will show yourself? It is very dangerous for you if you show yourself and in fact you will also think about the security and the danger might happen to you.
205  Economy / Economics / Re: Jim Rickards: His Gold Price Prediction Explained... on: January 26, 2020, 06:29:11 PM
No one would debate the value of Gold and its bright future. We don't have to actually listen to anyone to realize that. But Jim Rickards will have to listed to Bitcoin experts to realize that it is better to have a diversified investment portfolio.
You're missing the point, what Jim Rickard's saying is that it's better to buy gold now that it is relatively cheaper instead of rushing in when it's no longer available for the common joe. Gold is a good investment that you can't go wrong with because of it's constant uptrend. It's not bad to make a diversified portfolio but it's best that you include gold in your investment because of it's high profitability. Basically insuring yourself of the future.

Agree, there's nothing wrong in investment in cryptocurrency. Gold is on the other hand is a good investment however if you want to have a better gain you could do it in bitcoin. At somepoint gold is a safehaven for the investors. Nevertheless, it will still end up upon the decision of the individual on where to invest with.
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Corona Virus will Impact the price of Bitcoin ? on: January 26, 2020, 04:10:49 PM
how do you even come up with things like this? what is next, someone farts and you link that to bitcoin price too. it is not 1347 and Corona virus is not the black death in Europe to kill that many people and have any impact on price of anything let alone bitcoin.

Lol people keep on bringing things that is totally unnecessary. Such virus is a responsibility of a government to cure, and bitcoin doesn't have any thing to do with it. If ever this virus became to big to handle of one city alone then there will be a consideration involving bitcoin like having to spend some tools to cover up expenses.
207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Get Its First Price? on: January 25, 2020, 04:02:25 PM
Today, the price of bitcoin is going up and down. Many are saying that the price of Bitcoin cannot reach $ 20,000 now.
That can be the right thing to see. This is the reason why Bitcoin has been locked in several countries. The only way Bitcoin can be priced in its true state is if the countries where Bitcoin is closed are removed. Did I say right?

Might have a quite effect but ain't enough. As for now such price range have been triggered by halving that happened few years ago. And if so, to be able to get back to such place may be bitcoin need to have a solid catalyst for market to move at such price. Surely, lifting up those law would have an effect but that doesn't mean that we would be able to see btc moving $20k already.
208  Economy / Speculation / Re: What set of conditions can crash blockchain or bitcoin to zero USD? on: January 25, 2020, 02:31:34 PM
The most important thing to bitcoin is the internet. At the very worst, If the internet got shut out allover the globe.
1. The nodes wouldn't be able to run/communicate
2. Mining would be impossible
3. Transactions would not be possible
4. The value/demand would consequently drop to Zero as people wouldn't be interested in buying something that doesn't work
5. The End
No more, no less. These concludes all as bitcoin is highly and totally dependent in the internent itself. So if ever there will be total shutdown of the internet the it is more likely the end for bitcoin era. No more send and received of datas around, but it is close to being impossible right now as we continue to progress, more developments will occur rather than shutting down. Such situation makes me wonder, what would the world looks like if internet doesn't exist anymore though.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going beyond $14,000 before May, history repeating itself on: January 24, 2020, 04:43:09 PM
I don't think that BTC might reach 14k till May. The prices of up and down every day this year could be an Impact of Chinese New year who knows, Even if it reaches 14k that's not a surprise for me because it has did in the past. Everyone are very keen on halving and lot of speculation reveals we can make good profit if we start investing now and I too believe this strategy will work. Let's believe in crypto for a good future that's all I can say guys...
The Chinese New year would surely have significant impact on the price of bitcoin in Q1 we all aware that annual celebration of that event is always synonymous with a price drop of bitcoin definitely this year wouldn't be an exception, the much talk about price reaching $14K should be aftermath of the halving from my own point of view thereafter the price might head to to higher price mark.

Look at the price righy now its already bounce after touching the 8200+ level thats why I believe that chinese new year bring bitcoin to bounce but I'm expecting to drop at 8500 to $8600.
But I'm still hoping that OP predictiob will come true this coming May.

I doubt that Chinese New Year has anything to do with this. 'Cause may be it is just natural circumstances that price are bouncing off after gradually decreasing, and we just bring some events to justify on what's happening in the market which is on the other hand could be one of the many factors existing, worse ain't even have any effect.
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Start buying on: January 24, 2020, 03:58:14 PM
But $8k is still big. Kidding, I don't think it is good to buy right now, when you are planning to sell it after halving. Quite an early preparation, there are still lots of possibilities that could happen anytime, and we ain't sure even if the price will soar anymore. Can't blame you for preparing but do not be so reckless, as in buying on a price which ain't even recommended by majority to buy. Well, either still upon for you to decide in the end.
211  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese New Year - Crypto Market on: January 24, 2020, 02:55:54 PM
Every year we have the same discussion about chinese new year and Bitcoin price. There isn't any proven connection however speculations continue. It's almost like Bitcoin users are trying to find some kind of justification and cause for every time the price goes up or down but things are not so easy.
Agree, I cannot even think of any situation that Chinese New Year will be having a huge effect in the market. It is not that people during Chinese New Year will buy BTC because instead they will be celebrating holiday especially Chinese, of course. Well, it seems such topics won't be taking down even if it has quite an obvious answer.
212  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies have won with court in India – for how long? on: January 24, 2020, 01:44:06 PM
After a stressful and fearful trial at the Indian Supreme Court, India officially admitted that Bitcoins and other cryptographic assets are not illegal..

It is a great news, indeed. I don't think this legalization will go opposite. They got nothing to be against with, and once they decided to change their decision once again this circumstances will be bombarded by questions. Besides they don't need to ban it, regulation is enough so that opportunity won't be wasted.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling milk tea for Bitcoin on: January 23, 2020, 12:35:08 PM
Not sure if this will actually do good for your business since it looks like bitcoin isn't decently adopted in your city, but hey. Nothing really wrong with trying things out. Who knows there might be some total bitcoin bull out in your neighborhood that becomes a regular customer solely due to you accepting bitcoin payments. You can try playing around with Lightning too if enough people pay with bitcoin. Tongue

P.S. To the other readers, milk tea = bubble/boba tea.

Yes, either way you could back out anytime you want as the payment with Bitcoin is just an option. But man, this a great place to start experimenting as because it is a small business though if things turn out bad it doesn't much affect anybody as the problem will just revolve around your family itself. Anyway, I wanna know the result of this experiment, man. Might as well share this business journey.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Is Now More Than 50% Dollarized, Study Finds on: January 23, 2020, 09:49:26 AM
Yeah, they need a stable currency. What could be better than USD as a medium of exchange? Bitcoin surely was not ready to be used as cash to purchase daily needs. However, it doesn't mean that Bitcoin is useless. We know that Bitcoin is more difficult to confiscate so that it can be used as a store of value. This is important for the people who live in an authoritarian government.

They can store some of their wealth in Bitcoin and cash out when they need to buy stuff.

Agree beside they did adopted bitcoin in a quick manner. As it don't have any measures on what will be the possible effect in the long run. So, may be, the most stable way is to use USD rather than bitcoin but that doesn't mean that it is not necessary at all. Like what you said, mister, store their money in bitcoin or other alts then spend it using fiats.
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price. Will go up? or Will go down below $8600? over the night on: January 23, 2020, 06:50:34 AM
Hey guys. It's been almost two days that Bitcoin price stays still.

I am on the tipping point of whether or not to buy Bitcoin now around $8650..

What do you guys think?
Well, bitcoin recently just dropped at $8,521, and it seems it will continue to fall down as it break the support level. So I don't think that is safe to buy yet though you could but I just kind of feel that there will be more better opportunity to buy down below. Well, depends upon you, who knows that it might pump up later, right?
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on the highest /lowest value of bitcoin in 2020? on: January 23, 2020, 04:56:30 AM
Hey guys, what u think? Will bitcoin go up to the new record or Will go down? Its better to buy now and hold or wait?

Honestly, it is tough to make such claims right now, because we are looking far ahead to a situation we cannot yet grasp. Tell you, no one knows what the future holds. So it is much good to take an action on what's currently circumstances rather than to take an action on an unknown future 'cause you might get false hopes.
217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Cost $ 25,000 by 2021? on: January 23, 2020, 03:17:41 AM
Bitcoin prices are going up and down these days. People are hopeful that the price of Bitcoin may well go up by 2021. Bitcoin has been legalized in a number of countries, due to which Bitcoin prices are now recovering. If the price of Bitcoin goes up to 25,000 by 2020, it will be very difficult to buy.
I hope so too. Pretty much, if ever, bitcoin reaches $25,000 I do believe that it is the effect of halving itself. But the thing is, no one knows if it would such price because it might fool us thinking that this circumstances may happen, on the other end. Anyway, we might as well prepare for such possibilities.
218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term bullish run is now over, and it was most likely a failed rally on: January 22, 2020, 06:06:38 PM
Bitcoin prices have dropped to  $8500 maybe there will not be bullish again? I do not have a technical analysis of this bitcoin because bitcoin is difficult to guess in the future price.
Will it be possible to return to $7000? even though you have failed the rally but it is only at the beginning of the year there is hope for the future to rally again and can see the movement in the market.

If we will look on the chart for the whole month, then I could say yes but narrowing it down, looking more closely I don't we are just going back down at $7,000 way easy, we are just bouncing back at $8,600 and it seems solid at such point. So we might be able to see $9,000 once again or luckily even touch $10,000 sooner. However when it drops, I don't think it will stop at 8.6k or even 7k, which I fear the most.
219  Economy / Speculation / Re: Backbone analogy for BTC current & future price movements on: January 22, 2020, 05:28:32 PM
you seem to focus a lot on "more people not selling" instead of focusing on "more people buying" which is in my opinion the main reason why bitcoin price keeps going on. you see, whether or not someone holds their bitcoin isn't going to affect the market at all because someone who holds is not even participating in the market. but those that are buying are actually participating in the market (with their buys) so they are affecting the price.

so the only logical conclusion is that price goes up as more people start buying bitcoin. or in better terms, as more money comes in whether it is from new investors or the old investors investing more money.
Agree, the ideology of price keeping up is none other else with people who come in the market and buy. Simply because which already stated here those who hold ain't doing nothing at all, and it just make the market stagnant or not progressive. So as more people come and participate by simply buying does push or hook the market up, price do change postively when someone or the mass buy.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: January end , can BTCtouch 9k? on: January 21, 2020, 02:51:44 PM
as we see trend in last 2-3 days, all markets were positive, prices increased from 10%-300% in 48 hours.
Now the trend is going down. what you guys think? January end BTC can touch 9k usd?

Well, it already last january 19 or 18, I supposed so? However it just rapidly go down after hitting 9k. Well, I do think that it would go back once again at 9k, what I am wondering is that if it would stay still at 9k or would just withdrawing back at it again to its stable position. Because seems support level is solid I don't think it would crashed at 8.6k, so it will just bounce back and forth at such price.
