6404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will other coin beat btc in future ??? on: July 07, 2018, 08:55:33 PM
This is an open market, and the company offering best services to its users will lead. Right now Bitcoin is number one, because it is the oldest and the most trusted.
There are many problems with Bitcoin, if another coin succeed to resolve them, maybe it will replace it.
6405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM WALLET , BE ATTENTION on: July 05, 2018, 04:16:20 AM
Don't be greedy and you will be safe, why do you want to steel someone else tokens!!
Well, you tried to steel the wallet owner's tokens but he was smarter than you and stole your ether Smiley

6406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it easier to earn Merit without a signature? on: July 05, 2018, 03:51:11 AM
<...>
The signature per se should not affect chances of getting merit. Most merited members bear a signature with no issue whatsoever. Participating actively in social media campaigns that require heavy reporting and/or spamming on the forum will affect chances, as often merit is given to a post after contrasting the posters posting history. Nevertheless, that is not your case.

It’s the post’s content and placement that matters most. Some sections are way more merited than others and sub-ecosystems do exist around the forum.

I’ve looked briefly through your posting history and found nothing wrong with it. I believe that you’ve even diversified posting in multiple sections (you were more concentrated on altcoins before) after asking in Meta a month ago.

You can study forum merit stats in case they come in handy here: BitcoinTalk Merit Dashboard .

I appreciate the helpful comment. I saw a post awhile ago about someone talking about how participating in a signature bounty lowers the chances of earning merit because it shows that the user wants to do bounties, rather than providing value to the forum or something like that.

If you think his answer was helpful, why didn't you send him a merit point!! I think this is the answer to your question "treat others the way you want to be treated"
6407  Economy / Speculation / Re: Facebook will make its own digital currency on: July 01, 2018, 11:29:53 PM
I think you should add the source for such huge information.
I don't think Facebook will lunch its own cryptocurrency, they already have enough troubles with jurisdiction.
Don't forget that, lately, they banned all crypto related advertisements.

You can use MEW it is safe or metamask which is the best free option.

on: July 01, 2018, 11:06:45 PM
6412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it enough? on: July 01, 2018, 10:50:11 PM
There will be only 21 million BTCs and don't forget that many of them are lost forever because their owners lost their private key and there is no way to recover them.
I think it is more than enough since it can be divided to 18 (Satoshies).
The price will rise whenever there is more demand.
6413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's strength is that nobody can crack it yet on: July 01, 2018, 10:42:28 PM
Bitcoin is very secure and cracking a private key can take hundreds of years when using the most powerful computer that exists.
Even if hackers find a way to crack Bitcoin, developers will fix this issue and propose solutions to make it more secure.
You don't have to worry about security, your Bitcoins are 100% safe in your wallet when no one knows your private keys.
6414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Keep safe your Bitcoin from hacker on: July 01, 2018, 10:36:39 PM
All you can do is using a hardware wallet or a good wallet and always install updates to fix previous issues and vulnerabilities.
Also use a good anti virus on your computer to remove malwares and Trojans.
Keep your passwords and private keys safe and save them in a place where no one can reach them.
6415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who sells BTC now? on: July 01, 2018, 10:32:45 PM
We can't hold forever, sometimes, you find your self obliged to cash out to pay your bills and buy goods.
If you bought your cryptocurrencies earlier back in 2015 or 2016 then selling it now is a good move.
We can't blame people selling their Bitcoins. It is meant to be used and exchanged not to be stored.
6416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Analyst say bitcoin will Obsolete one day. on: July 01, 2018, 10:29:04 PM
Bitcoin is very useful and can make our life better, transactions are safer and cheaper when using Bitcoin.
If we can stop those attacking cryptocurrencies then Bitcoin will rise and will be wildly used.
It can replace FIAT.
6417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese investor loses $400,000,000 in Bitcoin on: June 29, 2018, 11:52:10 PM
Maybe he sold some because he found a better investment or with a small profit, even a 1% profit is a huge amount when we see the number of sold Bitcoins.
I think he is not too stupid to sell now and he is planning to hold until the right moment.
A person investing such huge amount of money can't be that stupid.
6418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it ok to convert my BTC savings to Tether when the price is high? on: June 29, 2018, 11:48:34 PM
You can convert it whenever you want.
If you are afraid because it take too long and don't want to be late when the prices rise and you find your self in a loss, simply convert it to USDT whenever suits you and you will be able to withdraw at any time with no problems.
6419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin? ✅ on: June 29, 2018, 09:54:41 PM
If you want to be safe, don't store your cryptos on an exchange wallet, better use a hardware wallet.
Hardware wallets are the safest place to store your cryptos.
You can take some security measures when making a transaction such as verifying the address you want to send to, if you don't have a hardware wallet you can use metamask, also try to use a secured PC to access your accounts.
6420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin difficult to understand? on: June 29, 2018, 09:48:17 PM
It is a new invention and it is normal to be difficult to understand it or even accept it.
Bitcoin propose a new way of payment which something new to most of us.
We weren't used to send money without going throw a third party service like banks, now it is possible to send money to any one with paying low fees.
This in it self hard to understand. We need more time to get used to it.
