6401  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will go up like last year? on: October 12, 2018, 09:44:37 AM
What do you think? Bitcoin will grow like last year until it reaches about $ 20,000? Or fall below $ 10,000?
The answer to this is simple, the market is unpredictable,so no one actually knows what's going to happen....

Factors that trigger a rise in the market is currently nowhere to be found,so till those factors are present the market will remain bearish..

So just as @joeperry said, this is actually the time to take advantage of the market, and be in line for huge profits
6402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did I improve or not? on: October 12, 2018, 09:30:16 AM
Hi! Good day everyone,
I came here to ask someone who wants or give me a challenge?
I also challenge my self for more than a week for reading and writing a perfect grammar before dropping a post here.
So i want to ask if there's someone give me a challenge?
I just wanted to know if I improved.

Disclaimer: this post is not about the merit, this is for my improvements,
So don't be rude to me.

Thank you and regards.
Self improvement comes from within, you do not expect strangers who know nothing about you to pass judgement on you as to whether you improved or not..

Only you and you alone can determine if you actually did or not, as you alone know how bad you were previously...

I actually do not understand your challenge or what you were saying about this, and this thread actually looks unhelpful here in meta..

So to further boost your improvements generally on this forum,i advice you lock(bottom left) this thread ASAP.
6403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Whales; Myth or not on: October 12, 2018, 09:21:30 AM
The general market is definitely all about risks, and sometimes to maximize profits one needs to take a significant amount of risk, to be a whale in an investment in the fist place is a risk itself considering the large amount of assets..

So huge market manipulations by whales is obviously very much possible as they are trying to maximize profits and buy at a cheap price, you can call it risky trying to sell your coins, for the price to drop,so you could purchase at a cheaper rate, but to me it's definitely a risk worth taking, though it could be catastrophic if it fails..

I definitely think whales have a huge influence in the market as they own assets worth influencing the market, though we have to control what we actually take in, and avoid FUD, as this could actually reduce the influence this whales have on the market
6404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to pump telegram channel to 100,000 members? on: October 12, 2018, 08:33:14 AM
Is it so you can look big and scam people ?
No, its to attract people to the project and communicate
If your telegram group is actually worth it, then it will be able to attract numerous members..

No need looking for artificial means to boost your telegram members ,it's a shortcut and every shortcut breathes scam, and every scam should be ignored

Your post and your group I think should be ignored
 Huh
6405  Other / Meta / Re: Merit for ranking is a great a idea to sanitize the forum on: October 12, 2018, 07:35:30 AM
I am a newbie, I want to clearly state my opinion on meriting.
The idea of  merits for ranking is  not bad in my opinion, no one needs bullshit in his house. Some say it's being harsh on beginners but it's not, it's actually telling the new guys like me that this is a serious place so no garbage.
The forum needs value from everymember.
Newbies need to understand it and make worthwhile posts. You only get worth you deserve.
You're a 100% correct that this forum needs value input from every member.

But sadly this your input is definitely unhelpful and doesnt add any value whatsoever to the forum as it's been brought up over a 100 times now
6406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25,000 German Online Stores in Germany to Begin Accepting Crypto in 2019 on: October 12, 2018, 07:28:42 AM
It kind of sucks that people have to use payment processors to spend Bitcoin when that's exactly what it wants to prevent, but I suppose it's a good short-term measure. I just hope these existing options don't dissuade merchants from accepting Bitcoin directly in the future.

But yeah, I would be psyched about this if I were German.
I really doubt merchants will be enthusiastic about accepting bitcoins directly considering how volatile it is and also considering they are simply in business to make profits..

Accepting the bitcoin directly could propel them to incur losses as the price is definitely never stable
6407  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many beginners make money trading in Bitcoin? on: October 12, 2018, 07:07:07 AM
While it's definitely going to be difficult for a noob to effectively trade, and maximize profits without the required experience in the market,do not forget that they probably were introduced into trading possibly by someone who has a larger percent experience than them, so it wouldn't be a problem putting them through on what to do and what not to do

With all that it shouldnt be much of a problem for them to trade effectively and maximize profits
6408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get 10 merits in 1 day on: October 12, 2018, 06:54:42 AM
Most times it just comes down to precision, timing and luck I must say, but it's just only reasonable that if you continue to be helpful and contribute to the forum by assisting others, you definitely must be lucky to always be at the right place,at the right time to earn merits by either sources or forum members
6409  Other / Meta / Re: Inaccurate Merit Reflection on: October 12, 2018, 06:38:48 AM
Enough already of this merit threads,if you wanna talk merits, try merit statistics, work hard and get us some statistics we no nothing about, you could earn a lot of merits doing that.. Something like what DdmrDdmr did in this thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5047794.0
As you can see he earned so much merits for his hard work.

We've moved on from Just talking how to earn merits, its unhelpful and doesn't contribute to the forum

You ought to know how to by now
6410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unocoin one of the largest exchange in india plan to launch Crypto ATM in india. on: October 12, 2018, 06:29:22 AM
Considering the crack down of cryptocurrency activities in the country, this happens o be a bold one, there happens to be more and more cryptocurrency ATM machines this days, it's obviously a very good sign for this network

I hope soon we'll have cryptocurrency atm's that'll deal strictly on cryptocurrencies,no conversion to cash, or cash to crypto, just cryptocurrency related activities alone

It'll boost our cry for mass adoption
6411  Other / Meta / Bitcoin discussion is back on: October 06, 2018, 06:50:48 AM
Uhm...well it wasnt such a high profile battle such as Mark Tyson Vs Trevor Berbick or Floyd moneyman Vs Manny Pacquiao, but it indeed was a battle worth fighting...

Rewind back to about a month ago,it was simply pathetic to think of crossing paths with the bitcoin section,it was an eye sore to say the least, with no less  than 70 replies per thread and the comments still flooding in,it was even more pathetic considering this forum was named after that section,it ought to be sacred and sanctified, spammers didn't care though..

I once even bumbed into three threads all on the front page "will bitcoin die" and replies kept popping in on all of them....
But it's fair to say that for over a month or so now and that section is now back to what it was created for,and that's real bitcoin discussion, you can now ask a honest question and get replies from high ranked members in there, the section needed to breathe fresh air,and that's exactly what it's doing right now,I do hope it stays that way..

With that been said the Altcoin discussion is still writhing under a myriad of throes of ailments called spam, there is no thread less than 70 replies in there and threads started 6 months back still make it to the top..
I think we should put on our gloves and return that section back to what it should be
6412  Other / Meta / Re: Should merit source distribute all sMerit? on: October 05, 2018, 05:50:27 AM
Does a class teacher simply distribute "A" grades to students simply because he or she is at the liberty to do so??Not at all , to earn an "A" you must have wowed in your test and exams...

Should merit sources simply hand out merits because they are at the liberty to do so??...
Not at all, they decide which post is worth being merited and if they do not find any, I don't mind them not giving any out all through the month

The integrity of the forum is utmost priority!!!
6413  Other / Meta / Re: Where to post? on: October 04, 2018, 10:43:38 AM
I got 3 ANN/bounty threads which are being bumped continuously with a lot of newbie accounts. You may ask me to report but how much reports I will do at a row. So, I have decided to create a thread so that all the threads get deleted and users get banned or whatever they deserve.

Where should I create the thread? I am sorry for asking such question here.
Is it reputation?
From the look of things here, youve got just one post other than this, and the other one isn't an ANN nor a bounty thread, pls where did you post the announcement that's been bumped into by newbies like myself  Grin...or are you requesting they(we)get banned for a thread that doesn't exist

Oops,...or was the thread posted in your alt account,in here in meta,we handle forum policies, please kindly post the link to the thread for proper scrutiny and conclusions..

Good luck
6414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Brexit will impact bitcoin on: October 04, 2018, 10:00:29 AM
With the disagreement and  resignation of profilic members of the UK government
The UK government have no effect whatsoever on the price or value of the bitcoin, this is purely politics and should be better suited in politics and society.
Well, I believe that Brexit will result to shakes on the bitcoin crypto market flow
Then,Will the best deal for Britain affect the bitcoin market flow?
Nope, britain exiting the European Union doesn't affect the bitcoin market,if you feel it will, you put forth your reasons, and it'll be up for discussion.
6415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ICO on: October 04, 2018, 09:39:44 AM
With the decline in ICOs, do you feel we are reaching the end?
And importantly, do you feel regulation is needed to curb the high rising cases of ICO scam?
ICO projects truly are on the decline, but I doubt if the end is nigh, even amongst the scam projects, most projects still thrive, keep to their words and hand out their tokens as at when due..

Do you know that The United States of America has spent millions of dollars on anti counterfeiting, yet millions upon millions of counterfeit dollars are still in circulation world wide,so I doubt if regulations will help quell scam, centralization will only put cryptocurrency in the hands of the government for them to toy with its value and price.
6416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Back to day trading with bitcoin on: October 04, 2018, 06:50:56 AM
Learning and earning is what this forum brings to the doorsteps of its members,if you take note you'll see I put learning first, before earning..if you learn first then you'll know that:
Bounty campaigns are profitable but most times you really do not receive your tokens as majority are scam projects,so before going into them you'll have to condition your mind on the relative risks involved due to discussions you've either read or engaged in on this forum, you can either waste your time as a hunter or your money as an investor in them, youll also learn you ought to properly scrutinize their white paper, but there's little chance spotting a scam project from the beginning.

Also you talked about small scale, also on this forum you must have seen discussions such as your investments are proportionate to your rewards,so talking about small scale investments, you actually shouldn't expect to make a fortune out of it, or did you???

Finally you claim to be leaving investing in bitcoin for other cryptos due to volatility, well it's advisable though, but to invest in the bitcoin actually needs some huge capital, not all the time though,i also learnt in here that diversification is key,its not always safe to put all your eggs in one basket,as you could lose them all, and about volatility, thats what the market is,.unpredictable and highly volatile, you do not just wait for the bitcoin to rise, certain factors propel that rise, and why hasn't there been a pump this year???.. Those factors haven't occurred yet.

Well I think both of us have to end the same way,
Thanks to the forum, it is and will always be a privilege being here...
6417  Other / Meta / Re: My Great Merit Experiment (AKA, Yet Another Thread About Merit) on: October 04, 2018, 06:29:37 AM
When the new system was introduced, most people set up strategies to get the one precious merit,it became an everyday occurrence bumbing into threads made about merit, hoping it does strike a chord, while it worked for some,it didn't quite work for others..

You definitely do not need a long unreadable thesis to earn a merit,i find it very difficult to read through very long topics, its just based on timing, precision, quality, assistance and humor I must say, I'll rather love to read a comment that makes me laugh than a boring topic I could just google up online..

Everyone set goals after the new system,i think so many have even been discouraged as the merit didn't come quick, and moved over to spam filled forums that you can earn without learning(walking without crawling)....

come to think of it we're surrounded by legends In here, and the forum must stand for what it was built on, quality, coherent discussions..
I actually set a member target before the end of the year, ive got 3 months to go
6418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Acceptance- Oldest tech publication of China on: October 02, 2018, 06:13:56 AM
This is interesting, and more so because it happens to be in a country that the government has placed a ban on all cryptocurrency activities.
I think the popularity of the bitcoin is unwavering and unstoppable, and it's endorsement by multiple big time companies just goes to show that; as I'll always say, nations that chooses to stop all activities on cryptocurrency and not tap into it's array of opportunities will only have itself to blame at the end.
6419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Continues to Consolidate As Volatility Reaches Lows of 2018 on: October 01, 2018, 05:31:49 PM
I think the last quarter will exhibit a bullish market. We have been in the bear market for quite a very long time now since the year started. Hoping that by the last quarter there will be a recovery when it comes to bitcoin's performance in the market.

I do not think so,there are no signs of the bullish market whatsoever, and even if there is,its just been hopeful speculations right from the beginning of this year till now, honestly I doubt if we'll experience what we did last year, hopefully 2019 will be better of

Whether we end this year a bear or bull market, I still believe in the technology and always supporting bitcoin. What are your thoughts on this guys?
It's obvious bitcoin hasn't even fulfilled half of its potential,so there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to give up on the system, the market remains what it is and that is highly unpredictable and highly volatile, every crypto enthusiast should always know this, make predictions and invest wisely
6420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Useful links for beginners on: October 01, 2018, 12:03:32 PM
There are different boards for different sections, endeavour to post on the most appropriate board when contributing or inquiring. Always be on the look out for sticky threads as the contain important information, hence, why they were stuck.
This is a sanguine aspect that really needs to be put across, users fail to understand the purpose of a particular section, you find alt topics on btc discussions and while meta is for forum policy, you see threads about the bitcoin in there..
Improved Posting behaviour amongst beginners must be upheld, check out for the section heading and be sure your posts fit in..
Then when in the section, make sure you read the forum moderation policies..
No "sell sell sell" or "when will bitcoin die"kinda threads, those threads are regarded as spam and is frowned upon.
And definitely won't get you merits, and that could mean you remaining a newbie for God knows when...
