6403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Current Price action looks A LOT like the '18/'19 bear market bottom on: June 11, 2021, 07:12:45 AM
Everything is different. I don't know how you see that current market situation looks "A LOT like the '18/'19 bear market bottom".
It is very possible what happened in the past in relation to price is happening in the present time, although I am not implying yet that the 2018 bear market is similar to what is happening now, but what I think is that the bear market might have began, I am thinking it will be difficult for Bitcoin price to make it up to $64000 for now until the next halving, although I could be wrong but yet a probability. What I just noticed is the $30000 strong support, but if Bitcoin can plummet below this price, likely another great bear market may set.

In addition to providing such information, you agree to allow us to keep a record of that information during the period for which your account is active and within five (5) years after your account is closed, in compliance with global industry standards on data storage.
This is now very clear that even if someone delete his account, that does not mean it is not still stored on the exchanges database, and what is stored on the data base can easily be leaked to the public after successful data hack. Which means deleting the account does not mean any privacy, the data customers thought has been deleted will still be leaked.
6405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Privacy enhancing strategy on centralized exchanges possible? on: June 10, 2021, 10:51:14 PM
I know that anyone can safely send 200,000 usd to binance and buy many bitcoins there. But would you trust any forum member such a high amount? Many trusted members may just get Val and exit scam. Binance won't,  because that isn't much for them.
Trusting a third party to mediate between Bitcoin transactions goes against the idea of a trust less system which Bitcoin was created to be. Binance has a good reputation like some other centralized exchanges, but functions almost like a bank;
• Requires user data,
• Answers to the government and can submit your details to them,
• Can restrict users from transacting at any point in time, etc.

Platforms like bisq which are decentralized does not need any form of trust, you simply need to understand how Bitcoin works and what a multi sig wallet is.
You are right, but bitmover is also right. You are right if exchanging low amount of Bitcoin, but bitmover mentioned buying $200000 worth of bitcoin, this is what can be bought easily on binance with high trading volume and liquidity, but it might be difficult on Bisq. Currently, Bisq has a trading volume of $249,471.28 daily, and yet support not only Bitcoin. Getting $200000 worth of bitcoin on Bsiq can be difficult, although it is a means to achieve privacy while buying Bitcoin. What if someone want to buy $500000 worth if bitcoin. But, it will be good if people are supporting decentralized exchanges to also increase their trading volumes (I am not talking about those swap exchanges like ethereum or BNB based exchanges, but the ones that support Bitcoin like Bsiq and hodlhodl).
6406  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Privacy enhancing strategy on centralized exchanges possible? on: June 10, 2021, 10:03:13 PM
That is a good idea that you have stated above, it should be buying from P2P exchange and then send to your hot wallet, and then to the bitcoin mixer service and next out to your hardware wallet which is the cold storage that you will use if you wanted to sell back to the centralized exchange that a clean bitcoin.
Clean bitcoin are newly mined bitcoins, almost all circulating bitcoins are tainted already, but I get your point, it is Bitcoin that can not be rejected by other platforms. You can check this topic out to know more about tainted Bitcoin.
6407  Other / Beginners & Help / Privacy enhancing strategy on centralized exchanges possible? on: June 10, 2021, 09:15:45 PM
Although, centralized exchanges are privacy invaders, just want to know what experienced members will comment about this.
Centralized exchanges are not for holding Bitcoin.

Normally, the best to do is to buy Bitcoin on decentralized exchanges, or directly from someone on platforms like Bitcointalk while all means to protect oneself against scam is necessary for not to be scammed. I have seen this method as the most perfect way to buy Bitcoin. But, one thing comes to my mind which I do not totally know if privacy depriving or not.

Most people even the whales like to make use of centralized exchanges to buy and sell Bitcoin, I think it is as a result of centralized exchanges having high trading volume and liquidity if compared to decentralized exchanges that support buy and sell of Bitcoin. So, I will be making use of centralized exchanges and noncustododial wallet (Binance, Electrum and Trezor specifically) for this.

I have been using Binance for a while now, I know a lot about the exchange, I do not know if other exchanges can be like binance in what I want to explain. On binance, I can decide to open and account, use it to buy Bitcoin after verification, after I buy the Bitcoin, I can send it to a wallet like electrum, I can decide to delete my Binance account (in which all my data would be deleted along, although, it is what Binance indicated, but I do not know how true it is).

While my Bitcoin is on Electrum, I can make use of mixer/tumbler to mix the Bitcoin and have it finally sent to Trezor wallet. Assuming I am using Tor or VPN to access my noncustodial wallets which makes the connection throught it to be more private. There are ways I can decide to send back to the exchange if I want to sell back in a way my Bitcoin would not be freezed after opening an account again with the same data I used in the past (it will work).

With this, even if the exchange is hacked, my Bitcoin are not there
Also, if the data were hacked, if truly Binance deleted my data, hackers will not get hold to my data after I deleted it
If I decided to make use of p2p on Binance (no direct Bitcoin transactions into bank account), I think I am still safe if my transactions not involved in illegal deal, and yet deleted my account while my data got deleted along until I opened another Binance account anytime I want.

Or, is binance lying, no data deleted, it is centralized platform and nothing open to customers to believe.
Is the privacy increased this way after using centralized exchange to buy Bitcoin using p2p which is later moved to Trezor after mixing.

Although, decentralized exchanges like Bisq will give total privacy while buying Bitcoin.
6408  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How can tainted coins becomes hard to be recognized by centralized services on: June 10, 2021, 08:40:42 PM
If you trace any bitcoin back far enough then there is a very high likelihood it has been tainted somehow, so it is correct to say that exchanges can only look back so many transactions before assuming the bitcoin is clean enough for them to accept. What this magic number is will vary between exchanges and possibly also between the size of deposit or other factors to do with the account which is depositing it.
No coin tainted should be deemed clean again, but no coin that should pass through 12 transactions over long period of time through 5 hops as described above should be deemed as illegal transaction like you said, almost all the bitcoins are tained already, even the ones that are bought after converting monero back to Bitcoin most likely would have been tainted in the past. I see this as an effective way to send bitcoin someone think is tainted to an exchange and yet exchange do not see it as tainted because the exchanges can not seize 90% or more Bitcoin on their exchange which I believe are already tainted in some past transactions.
6409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another upcoming big events, Bitcoin price valuation and halving events. on: June 10, 2021, 06:37:23 PM
I too see it too early to be posting about halving, but I also still believe there will be period before the next halving that Bitcoin price may retrace to certain level, that is why I which people to comment on what the lowest price Bitcoin can be before the next halving and also what other things that might likely occur before the next halving that can have influence on Bitcoin price, and what the lowest price may be within the period. I think the point of focus for now should truly be about corrections to occur, many analysts are predicting the price will not go below $20000.
6410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another upcoming big events, Bitcoin price valuation and halving events. on: June 10, 2021, 05:02:49 PM
What build value of BTC more? Decreasing inflation from 3.8% to 1.9% (last halving) or FED, that printed 25% of dollar supply in last year? 25% of whole $$ supply printed in 1 year...
The true design of fiat is how they are depreciative assets, fiat also contributing to the increase of Bitcoin price valuation, but what mostly increased it in the last halving are people that invested in it. But dollar also depreciated, though not like the fiat in developing and underdeveloped countries which even depreciated more far than strong currencies like Pounds, Euro and US Dollar, but yet they still always being manipulated and depreciated.

That said, if you check the marketcap of Bitcoin, it is clear that the increase in adoption rate which make its marketcap to significantly increased is majorly responsible for the present price valuation, and yet as some investors and traders sell Bitcoin for fiat is resulting to the recent bear market. Although, it is now within the range of bullish (support) and bearish (resistance) of $30000 to $40000.

6412  Economy / Services / Re: Free BTC transaction accelerator! on: June 10, 2021, 02:38:14 PM
I'm not sure I can keep waiting, it would be bad if this deal lasted until the end of the week. So, now I should increase the transaction fee, again, right? How much do I need to increase it so it can be supported by the accelerator or at least can be confirmed by tomorrow? I have no experience here  Cheesy looks like I need about 31sat/vB to complete the transaction sooner right?
Increase it to 20 sat/vbyte, this will amounts to over 10 sat/byte which is the minimum fee that a transaction can have to be able to make use of ViaBTC free acceleratator. Or you can increase it to 28 sat/vbyte which can make your transaction confirmed in time (most probably in the next block) without even accelerating it.
6413  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another upcoming big event, Bitcoin halving and valuation. on: June 10, 2021, 12:22:00 PM
If I we were to follow the pattern, the next halving would probably have a smaller multiplier than that of the 2020 halving which can only mean that either the price is going to be really high that a small multiplier is going to be enough.
The price volatility is based on pre-halving price (the price of bitcoin immediately before halving), if someone can invest during the lowest price, there would still be more increase in profit, but you are right, I believe the volatility will still reduce further in the next halving, if comparing the pre-halving price to the all-time-high that bitcoin price will reach at the time. Although, this is just a prediction of what will likely happen during the period.

Using VPN or not doesn't matter. That still depends, on your country
Only IP address depends on the country, VPN does not depend on the country, but if too many spammers are making use of a particular VPN irrespective of the country they are, they will later have to pay the evil fee after registration.

also when using free vpn when registering.
I am not certain about other paid VPNs, but if you now register with IPVanish, the evil fee will be required before posting. I have some people that used it recently, but the fee not required while using some free VPN, but free VPNs come with their own risks which makes experts to advice people no to use it.
6416  Other / Meta / Re: VPN Related problem to Bitcointalk Account Registration on: June 10, 2021, 11:27:32 AM
I created several email just because I need to register my account. I download several VPN on till I came across VPN supper free WiFi. But even now that same VPN is giving me the same issue. Mod really need to be serious about the issue.
Going through this difficulty before you were able to create an account, or if you pay the evil fee, these will help you not to violate the furum rules. But when one or two people know about the VPN, they will tell their friends, and many people will know there is a certain von that can by-pass not to pay the evil fee, as friends are telling friends, may people will later see registration simple, spam around and be banned, they will re-register new accounts, banned again and register again with posting of annoying repeated and other spams. The moderators will not have option again than to make people using the VPNto pay evil fee because of spam. If people are not using the VPN to spam, no evil fee will be included after registration before the user will be able to post.
6417  Other / Meta / Re: VPN Related problem to Bitcointalk Account Registration on: June 10, 2021, 11:18:15 AM
Even, with the IP and some VPN restriction to pay evil fee before they can post, there are still many annoying spammers, if all the IP addresses and VPN are allowed, this forum will be full of spammers. Moderators do not just remove those IP addresses and VPN from not be able to post, but because most people that registered with that  IPs and VPN do spam. Paying an evil fee will likely make them not to spam.
6418  Economy / Speculation / Another upcoming big events, Bitcoin price valuation and halving events. on: June 10, 2021, 10:53:02 AM
I had a topic in the past, in early 2020 when I joined Bitcointalk 'The bitcoin halving, whales manipulations and its 2020 price valuation, this focused on how the bitcoin price will significantly increase in 2020, in which there has been shift from Bitcoin supply reduction to marketcap leading to price increase. It happened the price increased, but even extended to 2021 in which the price also significantly increased. That was the recent big even seen in Bitcoin price valuation.

I use this to create a thread of the next big event, although there might have been big events in between previous and next halving, but the halving event will make people to fomo, significantly resulting to increase in the price of Bitcoin as people do invest at the time, it is now becoming the norm of the whales (especially the institutional whales) and retail investors to invest few weeks to halving and also many months after halving. I see this as an opportunity for people that want to earn to take this advantage.

Bitcoin volatility decreasing but still significant in price valuation

First halving, 2012
Initial price: $11
Highest prices:  around 1100
That means it increased 100x

Second halving, 2016
Initial price: around and below $700
Highest price: all time all of $19,665.36
That means it increased over 33x

I remembered Bitcoin price has been increasing drastically last year, 2020 before halving, but the price before having was around $8800, Bitcoin increased in price to $63126 in 2021.

Third halving, 2020
Initial price: $8800
Highest prices so far: around $63126
That means it increased 7.17x

Taking advantage of the a very significant drop
There are period of abrupt and significant drop of Bitcoin price, this is the time Bitcoin will reach its lowest price in a period within previous and next halving, to determine this price can be very difficult, but yet possible. Such even happened two times before 2020 halving to the extent Bitcoin price dropped to less than $4000 in April 2019 and 2020. This were the best time to invest in bitcoin during the time. Analysts have been predicting the price of bitcoin to not get below $20000 ever again, but nobody yet knows what will happen as it is possible Bitcoin has reach all-time-high of a $63126. But this point of lowest price will be the best period for people to invest in bitcoin.

The great even of 2023
There next bitcoin halving will occur after the present 210000 blocks are mined, with the average block rewards of 10 minutes, it has been estimated that next Bitcoin halving will occur in February 2024. Although, it can be some time before or after the predicted date. Some people are already waiting for this long time period to invest more on bitcoin because it is a period Bitcoin price will never fail to increase. New bitcoiners will fomo and invest, old bitcoiners will speculatively invest during the time. Although, there will be time within the period that the price of bitcoin will increase and decrease so significantly, but I am speculating the time to be the next Bitcoin all-time-high. Although,I am not entirely certain but only predicting.

The purpose of this thread
1. To focus on the next Bitcoin halving which will be a big event
2. To speculate what the lowest price of bitcoin will be before the halving
3. To speculate and determine the best time to invest in bitcoin during this period.
