Hi, We're pleased to introduce a new lending platform at: https://trustedcointrades.com/lendingOur lending section includes collateral and no collateral loans and we're seeking feedback. Can no collateral loans be done safely? We believe they can as our Gold and Silver members have their identity (or similar reputation) verified. Is there anything else we might do? We feel no collateral loans should work somehow and be a benefit. Loans in a forum setting won't work well, but there should be ways to increase safety. Consider banks charge a $35+ service fee for account overdrafts. This is a great example of where a small short term loan, say around $50, could save someone a large fee and be worth it even at high interest. What do you think? So you are verifying identity. That will only help you if you are registered, legal and ready to sue. People will take advantage of you until you prove you are all three.

It seems account sales are forgiven after a few years. Try asking Lauda to remove the trust in three years. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) No. Contact Quickseller for advice in that area. Bad advice. I would distrust business partners of that guy... He continues to hold onto at least $136,938.70USD of scammed coins (not disputed by Quickseller). ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) So basically im not allowed to PM Lauda anymore about negative trust?
No one is stopping you, but you will eventually be blocked if you have no new data to share. I hate repetition. That's why church never worked on me I guess.

So basically you want to force everyone to customize their trust list instead of using the default list? That is something already being considered by theymos:
I don't think doing such a thing will stop the trust farming by DT1 members. As long as you can gain positive trust by adding someone to your trust network, it will be abused.

It can take 1.7 billion attempts to unlock a new bitcoin.
? Not true at all. Modern hardware can hash that in a second. The average bitcoin takes 10 minutes.

- DO NOT copy/paste the entire article, even in quotes. Doing that is stealing from the author since they cannot earn revenue off your plagiarism. - DO copy just a portion of the article (less than 50%) and then post a link to the article so interested parties can visit the original site.

I wonder if it is worth adding a field to BPIP that shows the average merit received per day. Could produce a list sorted to catch questionable actions like this...

If you can not provide a couple of social media accounts to verify who you are, don't bother applying. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Hello. Can you provide your social media accounts so I can contact you?

No one likes a rat.
I love rats. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) If no one reported anything, this forum would be overrun with Quicksellers. :/

A member of this forum just approached me via personal message and suggested to me to "trade" merits. So for giving him merit he would give me the same amount back. While I was at first inclined to accept this offer, I have decided to do the right thing and raise awareness for this issue, since I am quite sure that things like these happen all the time.
Any suggestions on what would be the appropriate steps to take? I am not a fan of naming and shaming but maybe this would be the right thing to do.
I am also not very enthusiastic about the merit system but still think that we should all play by the rules and earn our merit.
Post a screenshot of the message here, and to be helpful, a link to his profile. I will tag it, as trading merits goes against the intention of the system.

I would prefer giving the names in private since my real identity is associated with them
You don't want your identity known? Are you planning to scam someone?

is Totally Uncalled For; RUDE AND SELFISH. All you had to do is PASS.
So you are the type of person that would watch a little old granny get scammed at the airport, instead of stepping in and helping her? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I will take my chances...
No doubt... I'd love to take a chance to get $200,000

Bitcoin Talk account trading seems to be an area that gets most people into trouble with trust ratings. I can't see any reason for doing it, unless you are intending to cheat Bitcoin Talk members, or the forum.
Couldn't the exact same thing be said about anonymous members? If my identity is known, and I buy an account, what harm is that?

So recently i stumbled upon some people in the bh community
I need to aquire $550 to invest which i will get a return within a week or 2. I am able to pay back around $650 within the week or two
Do one of the following: 1) Provide valid collateral 2) Lock thread and move it (control at lower left) to the Archive section Failure to do this will result in negative trust.

Here's My Collateral!- I can provide upto 20 Million of ERC20 POW tokens (Market price is not all good at the moment)
- I have a Mining server setup with free electricity.. so I can mine any altcoins/ERC20 coins and MONERO (NO BITCOINS OR ETH) with REALLY Good Hash-rates. Mining is not my thing, but I have few monero test coins to give as well, and you can make good use of my Server setup to recover most of your coins on a daily basis.
-You will hold access to the private keys of my platform and get daily returns as part of collateral.- Code/program 1 project FOR YOU. A Software, block-chain etc
- Money transfers your way if you want me to. (THIS IS PERSONAL) ~ Explainable to the right parties.[/b] YOUR FULL INVESTMENT WILL BE RECOVERED IN 1-2 MONTHS OR LESS. Just need a shot! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I have PM limits but will answer to each and every PM. Get in touch if interested, open to negotiations as well. Regards, So you have no valid collateral. The chances of you just blowing this $200,000 and taking a chance someone will sue you is pretty high. :/

Could I ask for your opinion on the matter in the OP?
Well, I'd like to say one shouldn't leave negative trust for personal dislike, but that would make me a Quickseller-type hypocrite, since I used to do it myself. :/ If I was on DT1 I'd add you to my trust list. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

However, it shows that anyone can post false accusations against you and you will have to waste your time sorting things out. Not a perfect system.
Suggest a better one then. This system works well. You can't stop scammers from leaving negative feedback calling you every name in the book - but at least people don't see it automatically. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Not to offend anyone but ive Pm'd the user who has left me negative feedback to remove it kindly but they are not responding. What would i do in this situation because i have been waiting for some weeks. Thank you.

I think there is also the issue of your part in a conspiracy to (attempt to) extort another user.
That would make sense. You tried to extort several DT members and you have -241 trust.

I did indeed sell 1 account 3 years ago for my buddy. I worked with Quickseller on how best to handle it and for pricing etc
Well there ya go. If Blazed doesn't get negative trust for selling an account, and working with a scammer, then no one else should get negative trust for selling accounts either.

Theymos sure is one of the most creative forum admins. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) How many forum admins have you ranked on their creativity? ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
