What can I say..... I thought when I clicked through the site and went to select a movie it would take hours to load. My brother is playing counterstrike, my sister and father are both using the internet and it loaded for me in less then 15 seconds. Im shocked.
Question
How will this hold up when 100's of thousands or even millions of people are watching at the same time. Is this built to scale up and if so how.
They are torrents on your browser. So i don't see any problems on that. I would be more worried on the legal issues which may ensue. |

Im watching Ex Machina now and I've started my own movie club sorta thread if anyone wants to join me i'll be there almost nightly watchnig a new movie on Purevidz and hopefully discussing it with other as we're watching or right after we watch. Right now the thread is quiet but over time it could grow just like Purevidz. And to the dev. Someone asked about a fair trust system and Id like to hear an answer to that. Its 2 pages back I think. Please assure me that the trust system you put in place wont be shit like the bitcointalk forum trust. Ok now time to go off pause and watch. So correct me if i have misunderstood, but this is basically a crowdsourced torrent site in where you have to pay if you want a specific torrent uploaded?
My question is: why would anyone pay for a torrent upload? Whole point of pirated content is that it is free.
I think there will be a bounty from the dev fund to populate most of the site but if people want something they cant get somewhere else then they could put up a bounty. I hope you dont need to pay to watch, I think its just pay to get a specific series or movie. If devs start to pay for pirated stuff, they are incriminating themselves into this. And if they get caught, penalty will be a multiple clusterfuck for them instead of a penalty for just hosting links to torrent videos. Goes to show nice graphics doesn't equal good product, demos on the other hand are an indicator the dev knows how to do more than just release a wallet like that Vidio crap. "Nice graphics" ? That's just horrible. Im starting to think you're overly paranoid. How? Hosting a private / open torrent site is not really a same level of a crime as hosting a site where devs are openly buying / selling and distributing torrents. That's why the whole warez scene is nonprofit. I am starting to think that you are overly gullible. Or jusr a newb in this. |

I have to say, that game was little bit of a letdown. Not sure what i was excepting but that was not on the list.
