Yeah, but these didn't have 3rd party softwares and they seem to stream just fine... maybe it was my adblock then, but i saw no fake buttons what so ever on their site or maybe it was because i was following links from reddit, but the sites seem to work just fine.

I am still excited and of course i want cheap coins if this helps . AND i've been pointing out the problems i've seen from the beginning.

I am just wondering on where do we scale when we scale up, and what are the obstacles of competition in this, hence the question what are our strong points.

When everyone just copies from everyone's supply free of charge, it comes to a matter of layout (which is neat) indexing, and all the other stuff like subtitles, which didn't seem to be a priority in this. I am sure it will come, just.. please rise the priority on that.

Lol . ICO is so simple man. I can use bitshares, ethereum, or waves; this is no longer complicated to do, any 16 year old can do it. I don't see any point in building a streaming service with a crypto built in. Maybe if users could upload their own content, but nothing groundbreaking here. Why would I use purevidz vs. all other available options. I was using what.cd and oink way back in the day. No crypto needed.

Yes the scope of our project was never just movies and TV although its a great starting place to gain traction in terms of a user base and community.

Even though the name is VIDS I can see other sites similar to VIDZ being created for software, music, educational materials, etc. It is endless as I know first hand from downloading all this stuff. The difference I would like to see is some sort of screening where we know we are not downloading a virus which is hard to do normally. But this project has potential, looking forward to seeing the VIDZ coin start working with the site.

screening would have to be decentralized. centralized anything is bad design in long term. for now, as it's unfinished, it's tolerable, but it has to be fully decentralized and independent from main devs to succeed and withstand attacks.

also why are people still talking about torrents. there is nothing torrent related anymore on the project. torrent for most people is considered a bad thing anyway, and it's boring compared to IPFS that it actually uses. I guess people haven't read the updates.
