6421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN A BUBBLE? PRINTED MONEY IS on: October 22, 2018, 01:46:12 PM
NOTE: I started this topic yesterday but today I found out it was deleted by me!
(of course I didn't deleted it) so i restart it.
The post was probably trashed,(put in the waste bin) by one of our MODs due to the fact that it's probably unhelpful

Bitcoin is not in any competition with Fiat, noobs get that feeling that there's some sort of battle for supremacy between the both currencies
Bitcoin was called a bubble simply because it has the ability to rise to 200kUSD and fall to --7kUSD that same week, you would be right referring to something as volatile as that a bubble(that could burst)

Fiat is a much more stable currency which holds the economy of a nation, and controlled by the CB of that very country
Fiat is no bubble as it doesn't rise sporadically and fall the very same way it did rise
6422  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How and when did you get into Crypto ? on: October 22, 2018, 01:24:06 PM
Scribbling down informations of how I go Into the cryptocurrency sphere wouldn't be contributing anything whatsoever ever to the forum, neither will it be of assistance to anyone or be any bit inspirational, this is not some reality channel..

Please come up with something helpful and something worth commenting on
As for this, its spammy and I wouldn't wanna be involved in that.
6423  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: jr member on: October 22, 2018, 05:42:23 AM
am posting and am sharing everything in the forms
It's basically not about posting, you cant claim you deserve a merit simply by saying you make posts, anyone can come up with a post, even those who asks "when will bitcoin die","are you gonna hodl" kinda post.
It's all down to how well articulated your post is, and how it can effectively contribute to the forum, either you're contributing in real discussions(not spam megathreads, or paid bumping), or you're assisting someone at one point or the other.

But while doing that just simply take your mind off merits and have fun on the forum(through quality discussions),as thats what the forum was created for in the first place
6424  Other / Beginners & Help / Proofread before posting on: October 21, 2018, 11:09:14 PM
Proofread simply means to crosscheck a written text either for spelling/grammar/punctuation etc errors..This is a recurring problem we're currently facing on this forum and it is simply disrespectful as it disregards the forum and it's members..

This is a public forum represented duly by citizens from almost all countries of the world, when trying to pass across a message that will be read by that much people,it is only proper to scrutinize/crosscheck what you're about to post..

One major reason for this is laziness and negligence, laziness in the fact that one scribbles down points to be posted but doesn't find it necessary to go through it to correct errors made inadvertently or even wrong corrections made by our phone prediction
Negligence is also another reason for this, the feeling
that as long as the forum is anonymous and no user knows the other personally, then there is no need striving for coherence and being totally articulate.

This happens to be one of the reason why noobs do not get merited,no member/merit source will like to merit a "half baked"message or one written incoherently, that others will have to struggle to understand what's being said

Always proofread/go through your post/new thread/comment before posting it, even if you missed some corrections before posting, simply edit the post and correct them before others start viewing them
It'll only help to promote the forum and help one rank up faster
6425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: first term "HODL" on: October 21, 2018, 10:49:12 PM
There is no general consensus or agreement as to which is the right path to take while investing/trading,it all has to do with which is convenient for you and likely to yield you profits after you must have studied the marketcap and make your own speculations/predictions

There are investors with a life long investment and wouldn't even sell if the price hits 50kUSD, there are also some who are waiting for a minor pump to sell off, decisions vary so does investments(capital)

Traders aren't much of hodlers and they are in for the short term profits, while investors trade long term (mostly invest with larger capital than the normal trader)and maximize larger profits
6426  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think like me ? on: October 21, 2018, 10:10:01 PM
You've got 855Posts with no merit, and not just that, going through your post history was really disheartening as 95% of your posts are all in the Altcoin discussion(bounty megathreads),you happen to be one of the major reasons for the new merits system.

Yeah you're right, you sure have been on the forum for a very long time but you didn't care about the forum(you only cared about the bucks you earn),now you're playing the cool guy because you need something from the forum(merits from members or sources),I bet if this new merit system hadn't been implemented you would never have tried to come up with something(really shitty) as this

You bet you, spam is a huge problem in here and we're doing our best to get rid of youSpammers as you they are definitely a clog to the development of this forum

6427  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What would education be like in a society where work was optional? on: October 21, 2018, 09:33:01 PM
There happens to be a big difference between education and work, education is a process of acquiring knowledge, and this knowledge can be put into practice in diverse aspects of life, one can graduate as a lawyer and up working as a clerk, but by education he's a lawyer, but based on workforce he's a clerk..And come to think about it even at this very time when the world is not totally digital work is still optional, the 👮 cops don't knock on your door in the morning to make sure you're off to work

Talking about technological advancements,it will all be a farce without education,Robots itself are built by highly technical engineers and more and more students are groomed up daily to follow the same line,i think technological advancement would improve the standard of education as the task/requirements would become even more difficult/stiffer..

I also do not think there will ever be a time when half of the population wouldn't have to work,Robots do not go about giving money to people,do they
6428  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always use Escrow on: October 19, 2018, 09:18:45 AM
Always use [a trusted] Escrow. Not much point in sending your money straight to a scammer
The purpose of an Escrow in the first place is due to lack of trust,so before two anonymous parties go into trading it's only normal that the neutral third party will be one both parties can TRUST

No one would actually want to send money to an untrusted party, its basically obvious
6429  Other / Meta / Re: Economic implications of merits on: October 18, 2018, 08:32:02 PM
For example, a post; "I'll send over a merit to anyone that fetches me a working liquid hydrogen jet engine".
This to me wouldn't be any abuse of merits whatsoever,i think it's been said over and over again that merits are awarded when someone is contributing to the forum or assisting another member in one way or the other..

If someone provides you with that information(a working liquid hydrogen jet engine),definitely the user is of assistance to you,and handing out a merit to him/her shouldn't be much of a problem
6430  Other / Meta / Re: Merit counts on "Top-merited recent topics" on: October 18, 2018, 04:21:43 PM
Sometimes the OP of a thread can write complete crap but a subsequent reply can earn a lot of merit--I don't have an example of that
@The pharmacist, this is a perfect example of your point..
The OP couldn't have written any crap worse than this..
@Adolfinwolf earned a lot of merits for putting him in his place

6431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suggestion Needed: where I can get free images to be used in writing. on: October 18, 2018, 05:34:14 AM
It all depends on the project/company you're writing articles for, as the images have to correspond with their project or ICO..

So you simply Google Images of the project over the internet, you can simply type their name up, so many present and past images would come up, so you'll just save them up...Previous articles written by others would also pop up, you just save as much image as you want.

So when making your own very article, you simply insert the images at strategic points you feel correlates with the text you've written above it, that way your article looks neat and presentable,it also shows you spent quality time coming up with something..
Good luck!
6432  Other / Meta / Re: Merit as Freelance Payment? on: October 18, 2018, 05:18:45 AM
There is as of this moment no stringent rules against merit abusers, I think at most a red trust by a DT is as far as it goes,or multiple Tags

Merits shouldn't be a method of payment, merits should be earned, and should be given out only when one is contributing to the forum in one way or the other..

For now we do not have Demerit sources, but hopefully it'll be implemented, just as LOYCEV proposed in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5033455.0
I think it'll go a long way to curb merit buying/Selling,as its definitely gonna be the best solution, merit sellers really do not care about tags anymore as they've already been Tag multiple times,so they just go about selling their merits, so I think a system which stripes them off their merits will go a long way in sanitizing the forum
6433  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators should ban those user's who is starting post with "Good project" on: October 17, 2018, 05:06:49 PM
Even as hard as we try to cut down on spam posts,a permaban for spam posts is not in the rules, the rules are obviously subject to changes, the more reason why it's obviously called unofficial rules of the forum, it's mostly at a MODs jurisdiction,as one could decide to ban for what another may not..

And to make It even more worse, there is actually no proof that they are actually paid thread bumpers, what we are sure is that their input is little value and that means the posts gets deleted.
I think it would be better " User will ban if his post get deleted by moderators
A ban for a deleted post?, you must be kidding me, so many useful members of this forum,of different ranks(High and low), members that contribute effectively to the forum do at one point or the other have their posts deleted by the MOD for one reason or the other, though less frequently than the bounty spammers

6434  Other / Meta / Re: My account got banned and wanna know the reason. on: October 17, 2018, 04:16:54 PM
@Justwannaknow's account was banned and he/she just wanna know why Grin

6435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stop searching for merits and you will received them.- see Smerit as liabilities on: October 17, 2018, 12:20:39 PM
Members who have ranked up,at least to the member rank really do not get that buzz of excitement or goosebumps when they receive a merit, they simply see it as an acknowledgement that theit inputs are still very well needed in the forum..
That's why your assessment of merits as liabilities to the sender and assest to the receiver happens to be very correct, giving out merits is an invaluable contribution to the forum, as with that you appreciate a worthy post and also help to encourage other users to thrive and start contributing to the forum, there is absolutely no need hoarding merits, none at all.
6436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much bitcoin should you buy? on: October 17, 2018, 08:24:50 AM
What else, besides the amount of money you have, affects how much bitcoin someone should buy?
I guess this is your question..

Other than the money/capital you have,i think another factor that should affect how much bitcoin you'll want to buy is definitely the situation of the market, youll have to study the market carefully, predicting what you feel will be the next tweak in the price/value...

Also if the market is bearish and the price a bit low, you'll definitely not want to miss the opportunity to purchase quite some bitcoins to make huge profits when/if prices Rise
But in the case of a bull, with limited capital it'll be wise to buy fairly low as prices could drop significantly,so you wouldn't be in line for a huge loss.
6437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is a post may cost you 80 BTC! on: October 17, 2018, 08:16:33 AM
C'mon dude, you open a band new account on this forum, simply to come up with something as shitty as this..

You intend travelling the 195 countries of the world for 80 days on a bike,to win 80Btc.. Lol

This definitely by a landslide has to win our award of shitty posts for the year 2018

Congratulations dude, you just earned something, not 80btc though, but an award on this legendary forum
6438  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I dont think rank here divides person's knowledge and capabalities in CRYPTO on: October 16, 2018, 06:54:42 AM
<   >
Firstly you need to fix your English, in here we communicate strictly with that.
There is no vendetta against lower ranked members,if you feel you have half a decent knowledge in here, start contributing and rank up,its quite easy for you isn't it??
Who cares about the outside world,we do not have any get together parties or dinners,do we? All we need is your contribution in here, and it's a fact that 80% noobs(You included) aren't doing that at all
Do you agree with me? The OP concentrated on possible discussion about ranking here.
This is an obvious sign that you really aren't knowledgeable in here, you are the OP, and you're talking like you're quoting some text or something..
Well I'll assist you a bit, OP simply means original poster not Other posters and on this thread, sadly you happen to be him or her
6439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we stop Bitcoin's negative publicity?-Rebranding. on: October 16, 2018, 06:28:41 AM
Re-branding you say? Bitcoin doesn't need no re-branding
Every financial system goes through its own fair share of criticism and negativity, even the USD has millions of its counterfeit currencies in circulation,it causes and brings about negative news..
There have been numerous hacks on our conventional financial systems(banks), it definitely brings about negative news from the media and users, but is there any talk about re-branding them..

Even as far back as World War II the nazis were able to forge counterfeiting USD and British pounds, thats so much for negativity isn't it, but this currencies happen to be number 1 and 2 respectively today..

It's just impossible to run a financial system,a medium of exchange, store of value ETC, Like the bitcoin and not expect fraudulent activities that will breed negativity, so why worry about bitcoins negative feedback, instead of doing that get into the system and start making profits of it.

Try to focus on the good things of it, its qualities, maybe it will help it to stabilize or something?
We do not really need bitcoin to be stable,if the bitcoin is rooted at a particular price how then can investors and traders make profits of the network
6440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain(implementing btc) evolve how we implement Mesh-networks? on: October 16, 2018, 06:10:55 AM
Connectivity is a very vital aspect of this system, and honestly that's what the mesh network provides as it'll be a very useful system in Africa and most 3rd world countries were poverty has eaten so deep into their system so as to connect the unconnected in those parts of the world,it'll even be much more better powered by our own blockchain technology
https://www.rightmesh.io/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIguaMtaOK3gIVQrTtCh2p8gOgEAAYASAAEgKcD_D_BwE

I came across this, and I think it's a proposed blockcahin powered Mesh network
