This airdrop that was 10BTS per registered member in a week. Just after airdrop ended, Limix dev sent every week 9, 8, 7 coins and finally 1 in the end.

I see that indeed I got 20BTS week ago which was exactly 11/2/2019.
BSD, not BTS (for Bitshares).
6442  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers for more than a year. on: November 08, 2019, 02:23:45 PM
The topic has only 12 posts, but 694 posts have been made in total!

Did they not get the memo on the Bumping changes?
He wrote that he reported 35 posts yesterday. What you found makes me shocked. 694 posts made in total by now, and there are only 1 page of posts left. That thread is truly a spam place.
Moderators are constantly deleting newbie posts there, that's why there is no many left, yesterday and today i reported approximately 35 posts. At one point there was several pages of that spam, but now it is down to 1 page.
6443  Other / Meta / Re: Propersix- requesting comments on ANN thread as part of airdrop on: November 08, 2019, 12:52:30 PM
Instead, you should lock your thread because Meta board already has a thread for spam report. Please bring it to this one and keep all spam reports in a single thread: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers for more than a year.
I checked the ANN thread of Propersix and did not see spam from Newbies or their posts already deleted?

For next similar cases, you can report to that thread of Spambuster club.

If total spammers and their spam posts are limited, you can report them case by case, post by post.
If total spammers and their spam posts are huge, you can report one of spammer, one of spam posts and leave a comment in your report message like this:
Quote
Spam, please handle it and check lots of spam posts in the same thread.
And @LoyceV will give you his hands if you report in the Spambuster club.
6444  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Tag and scam report buttons. How do you think bitcoin developers? on: November 08, 2019, 12:36:15 PM
It would be abused as crazy. Expect retaliatory feedback against anyone that doesn't like the other person. There would be a similar problem like we have with the trust ratings on Bitcointalk. A scammer gets tagged for scamming and retaliates with bullshit comments.
Your idea is not bad but the community would make a mess out of it.
There are always two opposite sides and I know potential abuse but as I wrote I thought benefits outweigh negative effects and it is worthy to consider for real implementation of Tag/ Report buttons. It is a kind of optional feature and explorers can integrate it or not.

Then, if there is a real feature with those buttons, let's see how bitcoin community react by the way they choose which explorers to use.
Technically, developers can build some kind of algorithm to prevent and minimize potential abuse (but there are always abusements on all systems, no matter how good they are). It is not too difficult to solve like scalability, ie. Next, for potential adverse effects from potential abuse, yes, Tag/ Scam report buttons and Warning textbox are supplements and which have to be supported by further investigation from each user.
Everything has its costs and benefits but if there are outweighting benefits than negative effects, and can help to have a healthier environment for bitcoin (in reality, for the whole cryptocurrency), why not?
Sooner or later, we will see it on most of bitcoin explorers (we already have a third-party site provides that feature) because there are demands there are supplies to bring satisfaction to users. We do have real demands on it, for general healthy bitcoin ecosystem.
6445  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | Sportsbook Launches November! 👽 on: November 08, 2019, 07:44:25 AM
I love the fact that the most popular casino are adding a Sportsbook now, because it gives people a better chance at winning something and rewarding them for their knowledge on Sports. The rest of the games are more based on luck and a little bit of skill, but Sports betting rewards people who actually has to do a bit of research to make an informed decision on what to bet on.  Wink
The basic rule is when something becomes a hot trend, more popular or widely added/ accepted, the odds to get benefits from that turns to much smaller. It is true for anything in our lives, from the Internet bubble to bitcoin bubble and ICOs bubble in 2017 and 2018.

I am not against Sportsbook and any casino but maybe the significant growths of sportsbook over casinos recent months is a very signal of something not good for the minor branch of casinos, sportsbook. Anyway, only time can give us real results.
6446  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Tag and scam report buttons. How do you think bitcoin developers? on: November 08, 2019, 06:01:09 AM
Yeah that will be good but it will put a lot of pressure on those owning the explorers since it would allow anyone to report it and someone could use it to falsely report someone. In that scenario, the owners had to verify those reports before adding a warning which puts a lot of work. I think that's why most of explorers don't have such and gives a page where address were being referenced earlier (that's how I think).
Everything has its costs and benefits but if there are outweighting benefits than negative effects, and can help to have a healthier environment for bitcoin (in reality, for the whole cryptocurrency), why not?

If Ethereum has its tag and warning message for ETH phishing addresses (I don't know there are other altcoins have such things), why not bitcoin?
6447  Economy / Gambling / Re: PlayRoyal.com | 70% Profits Returned To Players | PvP Poker, Dice, Slots & More on: November 08, 2019, 03:58:13 AM
The website is live right now with active players and you shouldn't need to use a VPN to connect to our platform, if I can be of further assistance please let me know  Smiley
Could you give me a little more details, please. Do people globally allow to use the PlayRoyal.com, officially? I meant there is no restricted locations that the PlayRoyal.com reject to use the casino. I guess what I thought is true based on what you wrote and search results on the FAQ page.

I saw the airdrop page and there are two types of airdrop: daily and weekly. I want to know that how the daily or weekly airdrop distributed to PlayRoyal users? Do airdropped rewards depend on total weights of all users and weight of each user (weights identified by available balance of each and total users) at each round of airdrop?
6448  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where and how to check a bitcoin address is used for scam purposes? on: November 08, 2019, 03:34:54 AM
I know (forgot to write some words for that tab), the explorer of https://btc.com/ is the only one among those explorers has one tab that provides information on scam but I know and agree with you that tab is nearly useless. What people need is something instantly pops-up their eyes, like Warning texbox, in red.
6449  Bitcoin / Project Development / Tag and scam report buttons. How do you think bitcoin developers? on: November 08, 2019, 03:20:58 AM
I made my thread on the Beginners & Help board and I feel there is possible demand from community (from my perspective and I could be wrong) to have Tag and Scam report buttons on bitcoin explorers.
It will be better if the site: https://bitcoin.org/en/, has those buttons to check.

Here is link to my thread: Where and how to check a bitcoin address is used for scam purposes?

I understand that scammers will change their bitcoin addresses to new ones but I think they will use one address for each scam project. It is why I thought tag and scam report buttons are helpful (in case they have not yet changed their scam addresses to new ones).

Among explorers as I know of, there is only one explorer (https://btc.com/) that provides a Mention tab to fight scammers. Unfortunately, that tab is likely hidden out of our eyes so it is nearly useless.

Bitcoin is a leader of cryptocurrency ecosystem so I think it is very good if bitcoin shows its fight against scammers with tools:
  • Tag / Scam report buttons
  • Warning textbox in Red

Please share your ideas and I am sorry if I am proposing something stupid.
6450  Other / Beginners & Help / Where and how to check a bitcoin address is used for scam purposes? on: November 08, 2019, 03:06:32 AM
Scam is always the most terrible things in human society, and it is more terrible in crypto that is a very volatile financial environment.

Today, I want to give you a third-party site, on which you can check reputation of a bitcoin address to see it has been reported as a scam one or not. The result if shows as scam one is a very good supplementary reason for you to be more cautious if you want to deal anything with that bitcoin address's owner.

The site is: https://bitcoinwhoswho.com/tags
Guide on how to tag is present at that site, link above.

On the right side, you can see lists of most recently reported addresses.
From that site, with reported/ tagged addresses, you can see some information: websites, details

For example, you can visit to see what's presented with that address (the second one in the above image): 1LfYcbCsssB2niF3VWRBTVZFExzsweyPGQ
Link to check on that site: https://bitcoinwhoswho.com/address/1LfYcbCsssB2niF3VWRBTVZFExzsweyPGQ
Quote
Scam Alert: This address has been reported as fraudulent (139 times)

You can click on scam report button to submit your report with some information (Name of scam, scam type, website, other details).

Warning for you!
If you check a bitcoin address, with real past transactions but results from https://bitcoinwhoswho.com shows it is a potential good address (good means without tags, scam reports), it does not mean that you will be safe with that address.
Why I say so?
Because of:
  • Scammers will change their scam addresses to new ones, definitely.
  • My guide is only help you to avoid traps of stupid and lazy scammers or when they only start their scam not too long and not yet change their scam addresses to new ones.
  • That site is a third-party one so you should carefully use results provided

You can get list of bitcoin explorers here: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers

There is no phishing/ scam alert on some of those bitcoin explorers. I am not happy with that and I hope that someday those sites will add new features with tag, scam report buttons for benefits of their customers and for bitcoin community in general.

6451  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥BITSLER > $20,000 Wagering contest + $5,000 Free challenges + Cashback/Chests on: November 07, 2019, 04:06:46 PM
Usually the account will be locked if we log in using a different IP and PC/Browser, but I don't know whether Bitsler implements security like this.
No, bitsler not blocking account like that. Gambling isn't allowed in my jurisdiction where I live currently. Even gambling site not allowed from my home country as well. So in a result I can't access from both countries to Bitsler account and by force I have to use VPN for login Bitsler account. So when I need to login I just use VPN on my phone and it's free VPN. Still now I didn't face any problems nor locked my account.

I don't think any website should locked account instantly just because of change devices or IP. They might ask for verification like mail. And its quite reasonable to confirm security of your account. But we should remember, trying abuse the system would cause suspended your account.
Only if there are rules that restrict locations (with IPs) that are not allowed to use Bitsler or if one logs in account on different IPs or devices, there is notification in email to confirm new devices, new IP for the first time of log in. Honestly, I feel it a little annoying but I understand that is somehow to increase protection for users from hacks so I see good things from this approach. As I know, there are only required confirmations, not lock or ban accounts due to this.

Some casinos more seriously lock accounts that violate their rules (without VPS) but it is not what Bitsler manages their site, currently.

6453  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: November 07, 2019, 03:34:53 PM
At the end of the deal when the casinos work hard and make a name for themselves it is much easier to add sportsbook and create some sort of safe bubble. When a new sportsbook comes out I wouldn't know if I could trust them or not, I would have no idea what to do, however at the end of the day if a great casino like fortunejack/stake/mintdice adds sportsbook then at least I know there is a trust going on there, for example mintdice is a platform that I love and trust, so why would I risk playing somewhere else.
Sportsbook or not, it does not a serious matter. The truly serious matter is gambling is risky itself, and much more risky than trading or investing. You can hesitate to invest or trade but sometimes when a gambler falls in love with one game or more seriously get addicted with that game, that gambler will more easily to spend money to gamble. Uncontroled gambling mostly will cause broken-capital for gamblers.

I would prefer to use gambling, and sportbooks from old and reputable casinos, and most important thing is I don't spend too much money to gamble because I don't prepare for my serious losses with gamble. Gamble for fun and to relax and refresh my mind after long time of trading.
6454  Other / Meta / Re: {LIST}of the Merit Sources in a need of bigger/smaller Source Merit Allocation. on: November 06, 2019, 06:22:20 AM
What happens if a merit source is found to be a merit seller? Will all the merits that source sent be removed from the profiles the merits were sent to? Will the source be perma banned?
Months ago, maybe in late of 2018 or very early months of 2019, one or two merit sources removed and all merits sent from them reverted by theymos. This change created messy situation on merit data (negative merits, something like that), and some forum stats analysers, @DdmrDdmr or @LoyceV can confirm and point out past posts related to this issue.

Furthermore, I don't remembered exactly but I still have a memory that due to abuse on merits, when banned accounts sent sMerits to their alts or sell their sMerits, from that theymos adjusted the forum merit system and lock merit button of banned accounts.

Theymos does not care about merit sellers because merit sellers are unable (mostly) earn merits themselves. Consequently, they will run out of initial airdropped sMerits and back-and-forth sMerits between their alts. Finally, they will do not have a single sMerit left to sell.
Merit sales, transfers to aliases, back-and-forth trading, etc. are not much of an issue. All illegitimate merit will decay, and will account for a tiny and very expensive fraction of the total merit economy. It's basically a rounding error; fight it where convenient, but waste no sleep over it.

I am not sure whether scammers are getting smarter or other usrers are becoming more careless!
No, they are not smart. Theymos said "Scammers are always stupid", that I totally agree with. Unfortunately, there are people who are over-greedy and easily fall to traps of stupid scammers. I don't say victims of scammers are stupid, they are likely smart but just over-greedy.
6457  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start on Bitcoin? Where is the best place to invest? on: November 04, 2019, 08:51:25 AM
Regarding to investment, it is always personal favorite, choice and decision so it is very tricky to ask for which coin is the best.
If you ask me, I would suggest bitcoin is the best. It is true for all crypto investors but it does make more sense for newbie crypto investors because they are highly lack of knowledge and experience to choose good altcoins (altcoins mean alternative cryptocurrency, that excludes bitcoin). Most of altcoins are shit ones, and even they are good altcoins, their price will do highly volatile and decrease too much in bear market period.

Regarding to bitcoin, you can buy it on exchanges, ATMs but the key point is you have to learn how to store your bitcoin yourself and be responsible for your bitcoin. It will in turn include your bitcoin private key. Whoever have access to you bitcoin private key, they will have access to your bitcoin and they will steal your bitcoin instantly.

Note that if you use bitcoin wallets to store your bitcoin, you should set up strong password for your wallets, but remember that password is to protect your bitcoin private key. So if someone have access to your bitcoin private key, they don't need to have your wallet password to steal your bitcoin.
[GUIDE] How to Create a Strong/Secure Password
Besides Keepass, you have another option to use Bitwarden

Verifying wallet after downloading, before installing and using is important. You can do this or not, it's your choice but I recommend you to do this.
Electrum wallet - Update safely and avoid phishing wallets?
⚠⚠️⚠~Beware on active phishing Electrum websites~⚠⚠️⚠ (Collection list updated)

To start with bitcoin, this one is the first priority for you: https://bitcoin.org

Then, read lots of threads listed there, from basic to advanced, in the section for bitcoin.
[GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?)
Newbies - Read before using exchanges or investing

Read those threads and documents on bitcoin.org to know how to back up your wallets, then retest your backup before using that wallet.

There are list of bitcoin exchanges: https://bitcoin.org/en/exchanges
There are exchanges that ask for KYCs, and there are ones that don't ask for KYCs, so you have to choose ones that fitted to your needs.
You can check more there too: https://localbitcoins.com/

To safely move your bitcoin, please read: How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V. You can apply this guide to move altcoins, it is useful not only for bitcoin.

Lastly but very important, you should think of secondary plan that will be helpful for your husband/ wife/ children/ relatives to retrieve your bitcoin in worst case when something really bad suddenly happens to you.
It is an advanced tip but very important for all bitcoin investors.
Using Locktime for inheritance planning, backups or gifts
6458  Other / Meta / Re: Whitelisting, spam score and community vote to eliminate spam with signature on: November 03, 2019, 11:15:43 AM
But I don't agree that sorting the threads by their bump score is the default sorting.
Assume that a newbie want to ask a question on "Meta" or "Bitcoin Technical Support"
For non-targeted boards of bump scores, the sorting based on bump score is not a default one. Meta and Bitcoin Technical supports are non-targeted boards.
Non-default sorting

On the non-targeted boards, you can see the sorting under this scheme by using a link like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=1.0;sort=bump;desc . I'm not sure if this is at all useful. (It's also possible to super-bump topics on these boards, though there's no real incentive to do so.)
