6441  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hacked at Nitrogen Sports on: February 07, 2017, 02:41:45 AM
What if your system isn't clean and the hacker obtained the password not by hacking nitrogen but your computer/connection?
I don't agree that Nitrogen should have blocked the transaction request from a new IP. Most sites don't do it because people use VPN services or connect from different devices/places.
6442  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda for staff on: February 05, 2017, 10:08:01 PM
I have noticed since Lauda was demoted that spam messages remain a lot longer than they used to.
Gossip says lauda was the most paid/most active non-global in January.
Both Hilariousandco and cyrus made more than Lauda in January. Mitchell and EAL made nearly as much as Lauda.

Lauda however did have more instances of extortion than all the other moderators combined in January.

How do you know how much the mods were paid? Is there a list somewhere?

You know what the funny thing is, if you as mod don't fight spam you aren't being appreciated, but if you do fight spam, then once again it's not helping your popularity go up. It's almost impossible to do good here. That's why it's important to keep supporting those that fight spam and account farmers.

If the forum staff really wanted reduce spam they would hire more moderators. They could also give Lauda a warning or suspend him instead of kicking out permanently.
6443  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Investing in Cloud Mining Still Profitable ?? on: February 05, 2017, 07:15:29 PM
I don't think so, since cloud mining is not safe and it is very risky to all scammers their. If you want to invest then there are many ways to have more profit and it is safe then rather to invest in cloud mining. But it depends to the user on their own if they want to invest cloud mining or not.

https://cex.io/ still exist until now it means that they still survive and able to paid investor.
If investor keep come it means that cex.io still profitable so the conclusion must be depend on what cloud mining site do you want to invest
A long term ponzi scheme is still a ponzi scheme. Cex is also a trading platform so their income doesn't come only from cloud mining. The bigger the company the longer it can sustain its schemes without anyone noticing. Cloud mining as a system is unsustainable and unprofitable so all cloud mining operators have to somehow cheat their clients.
6444  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: February 05, 2017, 07:05:14 PM
It's worth it because you are learning in the process. Even better if you're investing in a business you're not certain about like a Bitcoin casino. In such case it's better to start small and see how it goes and in future increase your stake. Also your money will not grow by itself. You have to invest to have more.
6445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Is Your Worst Moment in Gambling? on: February 05, 2017, 06:56:19 PM
My gambling sad stories are a lot, I have lost a lot of money in gambling, sometimes I felt angry about my teams which I bet, they couldn't win because they ain't lucky. So I ain't lucky either, lost all money.  Cry
It's not their fault they aren't setting the bets or profiting from them. It's not about luck but sometimes their physical form and sometimes their mental attitude before the match.
How much did you lose? Surely it wasn't all your money or you wouldn't be here surfing the internet. Wink
6446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: February 05, 2017, 06:53:09 PM
It's like with any other addiction. A smoker would say that giving up smoking isn't easy.
You have to realize that you are in control of your body and mind. If you want to give up gambling you should find another hobby to spend your time on and stop thinking about gambling once and for all. If you can't do it give someone else control over your bank account. No deposits = no gambling.
6447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Frustrates You Most When Using Bitcoin? on: February 05, 2017, 06:34:35 PM
One of the features of bitcoins is irreversible transactions which usually works against most bitcoin sellers as  simply trying to buy an item\service usually results in us getting to being easy targets with no trace of the scammer its so annoying.
I find this feature to be very good. The lack of reversibility means nobody can abuse it like they are doing with PayPal chargebacks. You have to be careful with your transactions, but nobody can interfere once you've made the payment.

What annoys me the most is the confirmation time. Some services require a full confirmation before you can use the money and it sometimes takes a couple hours.

6449  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Advertizing a gambling/dice game - need opinions, thanks! on: February 04, 2017, 04:49:59 AM
I think you should approach people who like to gamble and do it daily and maybe offer them a position to help promote you for casino tokens.
Gambling is like a hobby, when you are a gambler you not only spend a lot of time doing it, but you also know other gamblers and share your experience. If someone like that leaves his casino to play at yours it means you're doing something right. Smiley
6450  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: signature campaign vs social media campaign, which is more effective? on: February 04, 2017, 04:33:15 AM
Both methods are good, but to a point. Targeting social media groups when you want to trade bitcoin can be not as effective as a sig campaign on a bitcoin forum, but if you want to sell something everyone uses, like shoes, it's best to advertise everywhere both on a bitcoin forum and social media sites.
6451  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which trading method is better? on: February 04, 2017, 04:29:20 AM
I think it's better to trade BTC/fiat because at least one of these is not volatile. When you have an asset that has a stable price you only have to predict the price of the other asset. With altcoins you can convert one to another, take a coffee break and come back to a completely different outcome because the price of both your assets is different.
6452  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-2-2] Employee mined bitcoins on Federal Reserve servers for two years on: February 04, 2017, 04:15:25 AM
This person is my hero! Joking he isn't because he got caught. The idea was good though easy money and if he didn't overload the servers nobody got hurt.
I hope he doesn't get his coins confiscated Angry
6453  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you should Buy bitcoin now on: February 04, 2017, 04:13:47 AM
The moment to buy is as good as any. You never know what will happen but there are indicators showing Bitcoin is going to be big. I'd say we're in the middle of a long journey that will lead to whole world using blockchain technology and it will drive bitcoin prices up the same way bitcoin drives the prices of altcoins up with it.
6454  Economy / Speculation / Re: Apparently the flash crash was fueled by Bitcurex hack rumors on: February 03, 2017, 06:45:43 PM
wtf is that topic about ??

waiting for explaination of a 1$ increase in the near future.
He saw the news and linked it to a small price movement on that day. He failed to read and understand the article though. The whole thing happened 4 months ago and it happened in the local market. If somebody dumped all stolen coins on one of the big exchanges it wouldn't even make a big dent in those buy walls.
6455  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Amish are taking over Bitcoin! on: February 02, 2017, 05:52:32 PM
It is a commonly-held scientific speculation that beards grow faster on men who haven't had sex in a while.  If you see a man with a very long beard, he probably needs a girlfriend. Wink

Wrong. I know these people are allowed to marry more than one woman. Same as with Muslems they marry up to 4 women and I think they have a lot of sex because they make up to 6 or more children from a single women. They almost all have long beards so this scientific proofs is not true for the case.

Mine was a satirical post but here are a couple of salient points:

2) Greg Maxell is not Amish.
1) The Amish are not polygamists.

Edit: sorry to rain on your otherwise humorous thread Gleb.

Comparing points 1 and 2 with your previous statement about beards I come to a conclusion that Greg is missing out. Wink
6456  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-02-01] Bitcoin is busting out on: February 02, 2017, 05:44:44 PM
I saw the price from bitstamp. We are now at $993.08 to be exact. So we are going to pump again to $1000. This is the true price and no manipulations like exchangers on China did last time. They are guilty of manipulating the volume. Thats why the price is corrected and we fall to $700+. Hope this time we hit the ATH. We almost hit the ATH last time.
We are already at $1000. That didn't take long. Good luck with your future predictions!  Smiley
6457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin chick pepper sprayed on: February 02, 2017, 05:42:00 PM
A socialist animal attacking a girl. I bet after the protest he got drunk and went home to beat his woman.
I hope they caught him and pepper sprayed his genitals.
6458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump - what is he DOING? like it or don't like it, discuss on: February 02, 2017, 05:31:25 PM
I like everything he's doing now. I like the immigration ban, I like the abortion ban.

Only the mexican wall project isn't smart, but it's not a bad idea, just too expensive.
6459  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: .Govs Now Want to Come After the BTC Mixers on: February 02, 2017, 05:25:50 PM
When the govs shut mixers down,we shall use XMR to mix the coins!Privacy ftw!
Shut down? How? Mixers can make new deposit addresses every week and they'd have to keep track of them. I could be mixing coins in casinos for people and I wouldn't need my own server room or registered domain to do it.
6460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your biggest bitcoin regrets? on: February 01, 2017, 11:04:03 PM
I wish I knew about Bitcoin 2 or 3 years ago. I had some money on my savings account and could buy some bitcoins but i missed it. Somehow none of my friends and family heard about it by then and i stayed in the dark.

I'm not going to waste this opportunity now.
