That seems to be very much correct. Some also use contract development for burning. So i am of the opinion that the right way to burn erc20 is to create a contract which immediately self destructs and sends to its own address, or just send ether to his deployed contract. Here is an example of code used:
pragma solidity ^0.4.11;
contract Burner { uint256 public totalBurned;
function Purge() public { // the caller of purge action receives 0.01% out of the // current balance. msg.sender.transfer(this.balance / 1000); assembly { mstore(0, 0x30ff) // transfer all funds to a new contract that will selfdestruct // and destroy all ether in the process. create(balance(address), 30, 2) pop } }
function Burn() payable { totalBurned += msg.value; } }
Which sends it straight to the contract address.
Yes, when you send a token to its own contract address, that is good as burned already and will be out of circulation.

What is your proposal in increasing security? Do you want to have a central figure to check who gets to use the platform? Don't you think that would defeat the purpose of the ethereum platform being decentralized?

Etherum low value and ridiculous dump is all due to the block chains fault
It is too easy and conveniently cheap to create and own a token on the Etherum Blockchain and t had given liberality to scammers and thief’s to take advantage.
Until Etherum reviews it’s contract creations terms and policies, it has the dangers of been overcome by more comprehensive Blockchain It has the tendencies of been ridiculously cheap
I think the purpose of ethereum being too easy and conveniently cheap is to provide a platform for community developers with less resources. In any platform, there will always be scammers or abusers.

I hope that this month, will welcome a strong capitalization from new investors, then the market will flourish, and you, do you think like me?
I am not sure. It is more likely to happen towards the second half of November until end of December. Majority get more fiat around that time, especially employees.

I always thought the ripple "takeover" for number two spot was only temporary. Ethereum will remain the number two top altcoin for many years and may takeover bitcoin IF it can solve its issues like scaling.

Hello everybody . Tell us, how do you recognize the scammers? I've met a lot of fraudulent projects and I can say that I learned by bitter experience, but every day it's more difficult to distinguish a good project from scammers.We do not want to lose our money and do not waste time in the empty, participating in the companies bounty.
I guess on of the best thing to do to minimize getting scammed is not to rush in investing. Do not buy into hype and always make sure you understand the basics of a certain project before making a decision.

How do you think: does crypto make criminal life much easier? We all know that criminals use crypto to sell drugs, guns, people and everything else. Did crypto make doing such things easier? Earlier criminals had to think how to keep their anonymity and get paid, how launder their money, how to not get catched with this. But now they can just use crypto and all the headache about this financial troubles passed away. Of course there is much bigger positive points of crypto and not every user of crypto is a criminal, but anyway are you worried about this? Criminals also worsen the reputation of crypto that is not really stable itself.
That has always been one of the concerns and the talking points of cryptocurrency critics. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how governments plan to address this problem. Atleast now there's a KYC compliance to possibly minimize these illegal activities.

I would like to try myself in bounty programs, any advice how i find good BOUNTY, and how do i know the ICO has good bounty program and it is not scam? Thanks in advance.
You are still a newbie so obviously, signature bounty is not applicable. My tip to you is to quickly increase the number of friends or followers on social media like facebook, twitter, instagram, and linkedin. How will you know if a campaign is good or a scam? You will never really know but you can minimize the chances of joining scam and/or failed ICO by checking whether it has a real use cae, a good team, a good community support, and a live MVP.

I would like to share how to make money from the market for some Newbies or some people have not earned a profit from the market. I usually check and consider all ICO and participate in some good Bounty and Airdrop . Then waiting for receiving the token to consider whether to Hold or Sell. I convert all to Eth or Coin top. I spent this Eth to Trade and increase my profit from it. Very slowly, and with a certain percentage, everyday and I am accumulating, now I have more than 1Eth, please try on my way.
You are only calling it a profit because you did not spend fiat but you have invested in your time and effort. Is 1 ETH worth more than the time and energy you spent on bounties? I think you should also determine that one before saying anything about profit.

Hi, BitcoinTalk. Please, can you help me, from the investors point of view what is better UTILITY or SECURITY token?
I guess the real question here is which token will give you more profits as an investor. If you are good at fundamental and technical analysis, I think utility tokens is the better options.

I have come across a certain ICO few days back but I cannot remember the name that has something to do with traveling. That would be really awesome though if there is one or two crypto that everyone will accept wherever you travel.

How good (or bad) have your bounty rewards been in 2018 in comparison to 2017?
I receive most of my bounty tokens this year so I cannot make a good comparison. Currently, most of them are not really performing well in the market but that's understandable since these coins/tokens are still new.

So basically, what you are saying is if a person has a day job and unable to trade or study trading, just look for coins/tokens with POS and masternode. Not a bad idea but you have to be very careful also because there are those that offer lucrative returns but with no real use case.

I see that there are many ICOs that fail because of lack of funds even though the concept is good and potential, isn't it if the project is funded and realized the project will be successful and profitable for investors?
There is this thinking now among investors that they would rather wait for the project to hit the exchanges than to invest in the ICO. The plan to buy from dumpers with prices lower than that of ICO. The problem here is that the project would not even get listed on exchanges due to failed token sale since many are just waiting.
