A draw against Nottingham Forest and a loss against Manchester City. This means Scoring against a good defensive opponent is a hard nut for Chelsea. Chelsea is currently a citing target to any club. The hope of winning is as good as no hope. How which story will be better in the champion league because we still need England teams to qualify for the next round? The team is very much okay if I should judge from the last match against manchester city. Chelsea can still go back to form If porter could keep his eye low and watchful. he is yet to realize that the team is only lacking a creative attacker/striker and not a defender. and It will be good to get one before the champion league outing in February.
6462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 05, 2023, 09:46:59 PM
I see some people who are saying that Manchester City dominated the first half. But there was no such thing truthfully.

Chelsea were beyond the expectations and they were a big threat to their opponent during the first half. There was even a shot hit the goal post and it was a really big goal opportunity for Chelsea. Chelsea were quite good at defending so far also. In the second half, Manchester City needs to improve their performance much more. There isn't a weak Chelsea in front of them now. They need to have full control of the match somehow otherwise another point loss might be at their door.  Smiley
But at least Manchester city has managed to score one goal some minutes into the second half,  but even at that, there is a high possibility of Chelsea equalizing the goal.

Why many speculators are pointing to Manchester city winning tonight due to their past performance and records,  but things have changed lately and this season has been full of surprises.

Manchester City is leading but Chelsea makes many balls winning.  In the first half, many balls were won by the midfielders but when delivered to the attackers they find it difficult to utilize it meaning that there needed a good finisher.  Even in this second half, Chelsea isn't playing badly. But My main problem is the substitution Porter just made, Has he thought of the consequences of bringing in inexperienced players in a match like this?
6463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 05, 2023, 08:28:13 PM
Having Chelsea and Manchester City draw their last matches against their opponents gives me confidence that there's going to be a win in this game and I think Chelsea is likely going to get the win in this match with a score line of 1-0 over Manchester City. Definitely the match isn't gonna be an easy game for both teams.

actually, if you look at the consistency of the team, my prediction seems to be the opposite of yours. I think Manchester City's chances of winning are bigger in this match. But considering that Chelsea played as the host. then your prediction could be right. But I would still expect a win for Manchester City. and of course, this match will run quite fiercely. But I predict Manchester city will play more attacking than defending.
As it stands now, Arsenal is 7 points different from Manchester City. Manchester City needs a win to maintain better proximity to Arsenal in the table, so in whichever way, I know vividly that Chelsea will not see a win in this match. Currently, I can not bet on Chelsea to win especially with Manchester city's past match results. Though Chelsea will also give out their best because of their last match, for that I see it to be a draw game.

Of all the teams that will compete in this play-off round, it seems that only Juventus has a very big chance compared to other teams. I don't see as big an opportunity as they have for the other teams here. This is inseparable from the opponent they will face Nantes, who is a bottom team in Ligue 1 this season. I think Juventus will win the game and advance to the round of 16 without any major hiccups.
Lol. So we have all considered Nantes to be inferior. But it could turn out to be the reverse of our expectations. you know, Nantes in the 15th position currently in the France league table has no hope for the top 4 not to talk more of the title as such, will have a high dependency on the Europa League title, seeing that they have fought through to the round of 16. I hope Juv doesn't underrated nantes when time comes because It is always in such cases that favor comes on the side considered to be inferior because of the overconfidence from the opponent side.

Hertha BSC Berlin are on a shopping tour in january. yesterday they signed Florian Niederlechner from Augsburg and today Berlin signed Florian Reese from Holstein Kiel.
two summer transfers ...and that already in January.
but i think Hertha will sign two or three more players after this season.

Hertha Berlin's performance is not good this season. Their achievement is only 14 points in 15 matches. And their main weakness is their attack. And so if they want to stay safe from the relegation zone, they will definitely need to improve their attack. They need quite a few talented players. Hertha management is doing a lot to strengthen their squad. Hope they will be able to perform stably in the upcoming match.

They have the same score as Stuttgart in the relegation zone.  So they are holding on in the league with average for now.  I think 14 points in 15 games is not enough, but I'm sure they will try.  They have to lose less points.  Now they aim to stay in the league and I think they will work hard for it.  They need to use the intermediate transfer period in the most efficient way.
Hertha Berlin may likely not escape relegation this season. Since the starting of the season till date they have given out nothing but feeble performance. I was thinking they will be a change after the beginning of the second half of this season, because the break during the FIFA world cup was enough for them to fix things in place but yet there is still no improvement.  It's actually a crying shame to see one of the oldest German clubs in such a condition.

I never had any doubt when I saw the odds in the match between inter Milan and Napoli, cuz I new inter milan really needed a win in other to move into the top 4 position . one must win consistently In order to have a position in the top four. It is now a fierce battle between Napoli, Milan, Juventus, and inter. Just a match loss or draw may cause intense derailment in the position especially now that the top 4 is made up of Italy's best 4 clubs.

The coach of Newcastle United Eddie Howie have come out to speak regarding the clause in Cristiano Ronaldo's contract that will allow him go to Newcastle if they qualify for the champions League next season, According to Him he said he doesn't have an idea about that and that Ronaldo is a great player and he wishes him the best, but there is no such clause in Ronaldo's contract, he said this in the pre-match interview in the Arsenal Vs Newcastle game yesterday. Newcastle United are really doing great this season, loosing only to Liverpool at field, in there last 13 games they have won 8 frame 5 and are currently third on the log same point with Manchester United who has a game in hand.
The news about Ronaldo joining Newcastle if they qualify for the champion league shouldn't be taken seriously.  Ronald has nothing more to fight for, His return to EPL wasn't favourable and that was because Epl wasn't the best League for him at that age, and I see no reason for him to return after leaving.  Ronald is already at the end of his career, by moving to Al Nasr I think he has made the decision that he best understands the reason.
6468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 05, 2023, 02:53:36 PM
I'm still worried about FC Barcelona's last match against intercity...i don't think Barcelona would be able to secure a win against a good attacking opponent team like Man City, Manchester United, or even real Madrid with such defensive errors. It was so unbelievable to see them score two goals and conceding two goals in under 20 minutes (66-86) minutes. It's quite clear that Barcelona's defense is not up to the tax ahead, and if Xavi does nothing about this it will definitely affect their performance in both the Europa league, copa del rey and la liga.

Age does not determine achievement, but is one of the most essential and indispensable needs to grow. Bayern Munich emanated just 9 years before the existence of Borussia Dortmund, but it is a crying shame to see that Bayern Munich has achieved about 32 Bundesliga championship titles, and no club has been able to win even 7 of it when there are clubs that emanated since 1892, 1893, 1904, what were all these clubs doing. The weirdest of all is Borussia Dortmund who seems to have little or no interest in trophies but is bent on trading with players. I wonder what joy they derive in seeing one club dominate a league for more than a century

Quote
Ten Hag knew very well that in his first season he would not be able to win a trophy unless United were really lucky.
He and Manchester United are climbing up to a third position in Premier League but I agree that thinking of the trophy is too optimistic. A third or second position at the end can be great for them. Again we should remember that Ole Solskajer had a season with a runner-up position with Manchester United but after all, he was sacked by them.
This should be an ongoing process without expecting any achievements in a season that has been filled with inconsistent team performances. I'm not going to forbid them from setting a target of becoming champions, but it takes time for a team that has just recently resurrected like Manchester United. I think it will be very hasty in its first season already targeting a trophy which at the beginning received the team in not good condition.
I don't see it that way, Thomas Tuchel never met Chelsea at its best state before accepting to stay, Lampard was already leading Chelsea to relegation but Tuchel came with a different energy and the club rose to a different height which later resulted in Chelsea winning the UEFA Champion League and later the club world cup. Manchester United has experienced a rejuvenation in the era of Ten Hag, even if it is in the Midseason or season-ending they can still catch up with whatever trophy they want.

With analysis from the past matches' results, one will not
expects a different result from the match between Aston Villa vs Wolverhampton wanderers, and Leeds united vs west ham united. But the result between crystal palace and Tottenham is quite shocking. After succeeding in a draw in the first half, Many will not expect crystal palace would concede 4 goals to Tottenham in less than 30 minutes in their home. Their defenses were so careless that harry Kane could score 2 goals in under 6 minutes. this is a prove that Patrick Vieira still has much work to do on the team
6472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 04, 2023, 10:01:00 PM
Crystal Palace 0:4 Tottenham Full Time

I didn't fully understand what happened to Viera and his boys. Crystal Palace was playing good football and even playing and pressuring more than Tottenham in the first half.
I got busy with other things, while checking the livescores now, why and how did Tottenham manage to score 4 goals in the second half without a red card from Palace?

This is like the brightest season for Arsenal in the recent years.

They have a pretty good chance to go for the English Premier League and Europa League titles both. They have done a good work so far about balancing them. For now they are completely concentrated on their EPL matches and things are going well there. They haven't faced a bigger team than PSV in the Europa League yet. But I think they would still show a good performance. Their results in their domestic league must be a good proof for that. As they care about both tournaments they wouldn't be complacent here as well. Besides they are lucky about another thing that one of the biggest title contenders is going to be out of the tournament by this stage already.
I for one have enjoyed Arsenals game so far, as long as this season is concerned. Their performance after the world cup break has shown a steady rise in team spirit mostly following the absence of  Gabriel Jesus to injury. a
As title contenders, their contention for the Europa League title is a hard fought one with more hopes of success than failure.
Till they face a bigger team, only then can you and I steady our faith in their abilities to even lift a trophy this season.
So far Arsenal have won more than half of the total matches they are expected to play. So I don't think there's anything left for them to prove other than maintaining their team spirit. Winning against a big team should be a subjective topic because arsenal have already recorded a win against big clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Ac Milan and many others. If there is any other big-name team awaiting Arsenal's defeat, it should be Man united and Manchester city, and with the current signing made by the club, I think Arsenal is fully prepared for any challenge ahead.

Given how the oil clubs have inflated the transfer fees of players (and their salaries) for all clubs that are not top clubs, this business model remains the only possible one. I am surprised that UEFA does not introduce a salary cap and other restrictive measures that would slow down the gap between the top clubs and the rest. Instead, they come up with an FFP that doesn't work. But what else can you expect from corrupt officials. I think that something serious will be discussed only after some major bankruptcy (for example, Barcelona).
The sad part is that other clubs are not taking advantage of this. If the oil clubs are making this a huge thing, and spending insane amount of money, just sell your players for high price and do not spend high amount of money for players. Like even though they are not an oil club, Real just spent 60-70 million on some 16 year old kid, does that even make sense to you?

I believe that teams that are not rich at all should take the money from oil clubs by selling them players for super high amount of money, and then use that money to build a young team and keep repeating that, when the time comes they will be all great because they made profit from oil clubs to begin with.

Real spend the money it earns, it's a profitable club. The fact that Real spends a lot of money on young players is a consequence of the fact that the oil clubs have inflated wages and transfer fees. If football officials were seriously interested in this issue, they would have long ago taken real measures to maintain the financial stability of all clubs, but they are not interested in this, since they are corrupted by oil money.
#real spends 16-17 million on 16 years old kids Lol@bitgolden.  That's not a bad thing for a club to do. Now if u ask me,  I will say it pays them today. Real Madrid has spent on young stars for long, other clubs keep selling their stars on a huge amount to them and today they are running out of players to compete in leagues, some are having poor performance due to overused players. Real Madrid hardly sell good players, most of the real good player leave on free transfer. Where and how they got their money shouldn't be a problem. Team's that are not rich should either loan money, sell their shares, or apply for grants from higher investors to build their team if they want to grow.

Spezia and Atalanta drew today, as well as Torino vs Verona, whose match also ended in a draw. So now Roma are one goal ahead of Bologna and Lecce is one goal behind Lazio who are both in the match. I'm sure that AS Roma will be able to win today's match, as well as Lazio, although other surprises can still occur because the match is still ongoing. What do the observers here think ?
Although it ended in a draw, I'm very disappointed with Atalanta, they should have won this match against Spezia and got three points. Roma playing at home is their advantage so far Bologna is also having trouble attack defense of Roma, but it seems that Roma can win. Lazio also looks the same as going to win the match against Lecce, also so far that match was dominated by Lazio although they were playing at home against Lecce.
It's not bad that it ended in a draw, at least sharing a point is better than losing a whole three points. Though Atalanta needed a win in that match. Now It's a tough fight for Juventus, Inter Milan, Roma, Lazio, and Atalanta as they all have just 2 point difference. It seems Napoli's indomitable run is heading somewhere, and if they have a win against inter milan tonight they will be 8 points ahead of AC Milan, and that will be okay to lead the table.

all the major sports newspapers confirm this indiscretion on Cristiano Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr, in my opinion this is a genius of Cristiano Ronaldo's agent, he's going to earn a few million euros and keep a place in the most important competition for club and at 38 he can still remain competitive. For New Castle it remains a hit on the transfer market even though it is preparing to become one of the most competitive clubs in Europe

Newcastle are showing a great game this season and given the problems of the competitors, their chances of getting into the top 4 are very high, I think they are favorites against Tottenham/Liverpool/Chelsea.
Now I will root also for Newcastle (although I do not like oil clubs) - I really want to see Ronaldo's epic return to Europe plus a strong new club in the Champions League.
The owner of Newcastle United has denied the claim that he is making plans to move in signing Ronaldo in any slight given opportunity

I think this is the right time for the media to rest their case and stop sponsoring irrelevant and fake news around the internet. Ronaldo now has a club and we should allow him to enjoy his new club and not to link him to another club when being unveiled in his new club.

I just watched CR7 presentation in a stadium full of fans, it was certainly a full stadium. To some extent, everyone understands that he would like to continue his career in Europe, but it so happened that he was fully appreciated as a football player in Asia. Now he is the highest paid football player and can enjoy life, maybe he wanted everything to end differently, but who knows, he is a legend anyway.

It’s absurd hearing or reading fan’s opinions criticizing Ronaldo for joining Al Nassr. At 38 having won everything there’s in Europe I think it’s not bad seeing him going to Asia. He should be applauded rather than mocked. I am happy for him if that’s where his happiness lines and I believe and hope he returns to Europe someday because it is not out of question. They have been players that went out of Europe in their prime and Came. Players like Axel Witsel Yannick Carracci and also Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Also Ronaldo once said he would love to retire at Sporting. So this seems like a break to him after this disastrous season.
I am very much surprised at those that are mocking Ronaldo
for making his all right choice that will give him peace of mind and happiness and especially that will give him more money. There is nothing you can tell me about humanbeing apart from making more money even as rich As Ronaldo is he still needs more money to continue to maintain his standard and level take care of his family and extended ones .

His strength is gradually failing because 38 is a very large number so he should not gamble his career again, he should enjoy his money and old age

It looks like Messi has returned to PSG at this time and has started training again with the PSG squad. This is good news considering that after he left for quite a while after successfully bringing Argentina to win the 2022 world cup. Messi's return will certainly make PSG's performance improve again and Neymar also seems to have joined training after receiving a red card sanction when yesterday met Strasbourg.
I love the warm welcome that was given to Messi on arriving to his club PSG.

Messi is a very good and exceptional player and in addition to his best personality as a footballer he is also cool-headed and down-to-earth he is not pompous and therefore he deserves all the warm welcome that was giving him and from henceforth he will play with peace of mind in PSG knowing that he has accomplished his greatest dream as a footballer.
Shalom Messi

With the financial conditions of Arab clubs which can be said to be unlimited for a number of clubs there, of course, the arrival of Ronaldo to this league will obviously open up access for other players who are labeled stars and even any Arab club can bring in their money.
Even now, it seems that initially the Japanese and Korean leagues were always looked at, now the stigma has moved to Arabic for the Asian zone.
Even the blind can see that Cristiano Ronaldo is influential. Right now, Al Nassr Club is the club that receives the most media attention. The local club became well-known within a week thanks to the "Ronaldo effect," and their social media following soared. He is welcomed by the Arabic club.
See his welcome when officially introduced. It was absolutely insane for a player's welcome and it might even be the single most grandiose official player welcome and introduction to date.
The Ronaldo effect has also made several people within the scope of Jersey sales increase rapidly until now.
Many negative things can be said about Ronaldo by people that do not love him. I don't have problem with that but almost everybody will attest to the fact that Ronaldo's influence is very much he is the most popular personality on Instagram and whichever club he goes he attract social media attention to the club and other Investments because of Ronaldo you will see many sponsors will come to endorse his new club.

Ronaldo is a great player and a big dream Chaser . I love him for that

Erik ten Hag has had an impressive start at Manchester United. After 25 games at Manchester United, United has a 72% winning rate under his management. He really benefited from some tough decisions he made. His work has been going well, and he will likely continue to do so as long as the club allows him to do it in his own way. It is because of this privilege that he has been given by Manchester United that he has achieved this result. What is the most important thing right now for Manchester United? What matters is how it ends, not how it starts.
the appearance of manchester united vs bournemouth was really impressive, but there was an incident that van de beek had to experience, it was reportedly unclear whether it was a serious or minor injury.

I don't really know if it is only me or any other person is feeling that VDB is not living upto expectations.
Erik ten Hag has decided to be giving him good playing time and in all his featuring for Erik ten Hag, there is no single match that I will say I was impressed by Beek's performance.
I feel that he is blowing up his chances.
