Diversification is the key to a healthy investment portfolio. So it is always better to have more different types of coins. However, if you are going to invest out of your pocket then be choosy and always research before you leap in with your hard earned money. But if you are targeting ICO bounties where you don't need to invest out of your pocket, try to join as many as possible. Because out of 10 bounties you will receive, you will probably see value in two or three coins and rest all may be useless. So for bounties, definitely try to have as many as possible, but when it comes to investment, research well before you jump in. Because if you don't research well, you may end up loosing your entire investment.

Yes, as per the recent news mtgox trustee reportedly sold 400 million worth of bitcoins and bitcoin cash to the open market without returning it to the rightful owners. The sudden increase in supply has crashed the price down. But I am sure the effect is just a temporary one. The market will normalize very soon and it will look brighter than ever.

But it is not technically possible to delete their wallet from the chain and forking is not a solution to this. We have to wait until the supply becomes to a normal stage again. I am sure this not going to hurt the market for long term.

Instead take this opportunity to buy more at cheaper cost.

Why do you think exchanges are dropping the price? Do you have any documented proof to support your argument?

The price is decided by the free market rule and exchanges have no control over it. The supply is higher than the demand and hence people are willing to pay less for each bitcoin. That's the reason why Cryptocurrency market is going in red. That is the basic price determination factor of any Cryptocurrency.

It's true that the first quarter is not good for bitcoin and the crypto currency market as a whole. Bad news keeps coming in amidst fewer good adoption news. MTgox is in liquidation stage and big numbers of bitcoins are being sold to the open market pushing the price down to an insane level. But it is too early to say if this is going to be the worst year for bitcoin because we still have 3 quarters left in 2018. But every dip in price comes with a significant opportunity to score bitcoin cheap. I am sure a lot of small investors are banking on this opportunity now. Probably we will see big rise in the value once these big accounts are completely settled.

These are all basic free market tactics, especially seen in the commodities market. Unfortunately we as a small investors don't have the resource to stop this in any way. Awareness is not the solution here because the small investors don't have the money power to stop this manipulation. The only way is to get along with the wave and make profit out of it. It is very easy if you start using dollar cost averaging technique instead of selling your holding out of panic.

When ever the market goes red, try to buy bitcoins in small quantities. Market goes down further and you buy again in small quantities. From the recent trend of market, I have see that a downtrend is usually runs for 4-7 days and not more. So have a target to buy small quantities of bitcoin in all these days. If you have $1000 of surplus money, spread it in $200 for 5 days. This way you will be able to lower your buying price using averaging method. When the market goes up beyond 10-15%, sell those.

I personally use this technique for short term investment and the failure rate is very rare. Crypto currency market is a free and an international one. Every turns and twists in the market, comes with significant opportunities. You just need to learn how to survive.  

On the contrary, I feel trading is the best way to utilize your time and money if you are a Cryptocurrency enthusiast. Week and decreasing market is the best time look for new opportunities. Cryptocurrency market frequently move by 10-15% in any direction within a very short period of time. That is the reason why it is heaven for speculators. You just need two things to make profits from crypto market, one is patience and the second one is risk taking capability.

I won't say it is the best thing that can happen to crypto world. This is directly against the basic idea of Cryptocurrency. It is supposed to be decentralized in nature. Regulation is not just acknowledgement of cryptos but also a plan to increase tax earning as well as reducing money laundering activities.

But if countries are regulating the exchanges and the crypto usage in their country,  it will certainly increase the adoption rate of cryptos which is a good news in long term. As you have rightly pointed out, we will see an influx of new investors as well as big corporations will start showing interest in crypto market pushing the price higher than ever.

The way Cryptocurrency is moving now, even Banks will be forced to venture into the crypto market sooner or later. Because banning Cryptocurrency is technically not possible, so it is wise to adopt it and turn it into opportunities.

A country with 53k population won't be able to help  the crypto community in any major way. But it will just increase the number of countries where Cryptocurrency is legal.

Also to your second point, Marshall Island is planning for a Cryptocurrency backed up by USD as it is the official currency of that country. It is very similar to the Venezuela's petro currency.  So I don't see any major impact coming to crypto market apart from adding one more country to the list.

It is "technically" not possible to ban bitcoin. Even though some countries have banned it already but they couldn't cut down the usage of bitcoin in their country.

We can take Bangladesh as an example. It was one of the first countries that declared bitcoin as illegal. But if we look at the market, you will see a lot of Bangladeshis actively earning bitcoin from various activities. But everything is underground. They are not doing it openly. It is very similar to drugs. Drugs are banned worldwide, but still being used by those individuals who want to use it.

Bitcoin will remain active in underground markets even if the government bans it. Because governments don't have such infrastructure to stop its usage.

Personally I don't support giving out my personal identification data to some company which is new and I am not aware of their legal status. Majority of the ICOs are scam, accept it or not, it is the harsh reality. So a huge risk factor is associated with the KYC data. Cryptocurrency is based on the idea of decentralization. KYC norms are making it strictly centralized. So this the second reason why I don't support providing KYC data to ICO companies.

USA and China are two countries where ICOs are banned. That is the reason why their citizens are not allowed to participate in any ICOs to avoid any future conflict. But that certainly can't be the reason for ICOs to ask KYC from all participants.

There are Japanese exchanges in the market that are licensed and regulated under the regulating authority of Japan. But I am not sure about any other exchanges which are actively regulated by any government regulatory authority. Majority of the exchanges are registered but that certainly doesn't mean regulated.

However, recently SEC has floated out a circular which says every Cryptocurrency exchanges must be registered and regulated as per their regulatory norms if they want to conduct business from their country. Check the link below,

So probably we will see more regulated crypto exchanges in future once this circular comes into force.

It does not make sense to me. You are actually inviting government to your bedroom and empower them to control the number of computers or mining rigs you can have. There are many other things that can be used to reduce the effect global warming. Like Cars and Air conditioning units. On a global perspective, air conditioning units consume more power than mining rigs, does that mean we will invite government to control the maximum numbers of units you can buy?

The best solution to the global warming is to move to the renewable and green energy like Solar panels and windmills. There are probably more sources from where we can achieve green energy. That is the only long term and viable solution to the threat of global warming. It makes sense, if governments say that every mining operation should move to such green energy instead of conventional energy sources. But limiting the number of computers is not a viable solution.

This type of prediction game will continue with bitcoin and other crypto assets. Some people are predicting 25k and some are predicting 50k. It's good to be optimistic about bitcoin's price, but it's good to be un-reasonable. 50k per bitcoin is not reasonable to me at all. As per the current legal status of bitcoin, I believe it has the power to go up to 25k by the end of the year 2018, but certainly not 50k.

It is only possible if we see major bitcoin economies like USA, China, UK or India make it legal. The price appreciation will only be possible with adoption by the major economies. Otherwise, I don't see it coming just as yet.

But again, it is only my prediction. Exceptions may happen for sure and I will be the happiest person if it happens.
