Thanks for the replies.  Good to know there are still plenty of options avalable.   Grin
Yes, there are.
If you have already seen the choices and there's no need for more suggestions, you can start locking this thread.  Smiley
6462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Stable coin is the Best for Investment This Year on: August 11, 2020, 11:25:01 PM
my choice is USDT for investment because USDT is already very popular in all markets but the risk of investing in coin stable  is that it is difficult to get big profits if you only have small capital
The risk that stable coin bears is very minimal and can be said that there's no actual except the fluctuation of being $1 to $0.99 so that's the risk that you're describing.
It's not really an investment that you can really, transfers made on stable coins have lesser volatility and is being preferred by others who don't want to take volatility as they send for payments or anything online.
6463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: security of using a wallet interface to interact with a cold wallet on: August 11, 2020, 10:51:21 PM
I've always been uncomfortable with the fact that I need to use a middle man in order to transfer to and from my Ledger Nano. I understand that something like MEW is necessary but still makes me paranoid that a lot of my information is going through a third party.

At least MEW has a rock solid reputation.

I'm thinking about moving some of my Algorand off an exchange and onto my Nano for staking purposes. In order to do that, the instructions are to go through their My Algo Wallet website to make the transfer to my Nano.

How secure is this process? I don't want to use this method if there's a chance that my Nano wallet could be compromised.
Isn't Algorand transfer is like any other cryptocurrencies that you can send from your wallet to any other wallet without going through any platform? Is that how Algorand transfer works? I don't have Algorand but, haven't you tried sending your Algo to directly from your hardware wallet to the exchange or any direct receiver you have?
6464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 11, 2020, 10:25:53 PM
If you're talking on sports betting well yeah there are persons who really is a good bettor they will analyze all including their previous games and who is their opponent and many more but if you're talking about casino betting games I don't think there's a skill on such thing because you need a pure luck on them.
For luck type games, there could be skilled. The strategy that they have is about timing and deciding whether to keep going or it's good to stop.
And in that factor, the gambler can be said as a good gambler because he knows when to stop, when to quit and what to decide.
6465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Bitcoin and Altcoins bullish together on: August 11, 2020, 09:54:02 PM
When bull run comes, everything will go up together. Like at the present time, Bitcoin went above $ 11k and most of the top altcoins grew soon after, a lot of projects brought profits to investors.
And like what just happened today. Bitcoin plunged, everything plummets.
This is how powerful bitcoin is, it can make everything go up and it can make everything go down. This is the safest investment that we can have in cryptocurrencies, if you have bitcoin.
The chance of the market favoring you is high.
6466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bithumb bonus deposited on: August 11, 2020, 09:33:35 PM
I can't understand anything on the image as it's written in South Korean language. If you have received that amount as a bonus, congratulations.
You just got free money.
6467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The new drama has started in Altcoin on: August 10, 2020, 06:51:05 PM
Yes, this time the crypto market is in good condition. But I think you also knew it that it's been volatile all of this time. So if there is a movement and it fluctuates negatively, you'll never know.
Because it's the attitude of crypto market and it continues to keep moving like that. My suggestion of what you must do is don't be panic if you see it fluctuates. Learn to go with the wave and be calm all of the time it fluxes.
The thing now is people have time to monitor their portfolio too much, that even we set goals and knew it will drop and soon to rise again. I also experience it this time of quarantine since I was able to focus a lot in trading that whenever the price goes down even I knew that the price drops is normal it seems I can't wait and wanted to change the plan, I better should find other activities to keep me busy so when the prices isn't good that day I will not mind too much.
Everyone experience it. The sudden thinking of his crypto assets to fall, we're all experiencing that as we're seeing the volatility in the market with our eyes.
We just can't avoid that feeling.
6468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How can blockchain help amidst the pandemic? on: August 10, 2020, 05:44:19 PM
Blockchain is very helpful today and will certainly continue to grow. But in other cases there are also groups that use it for crime and money laundering which will not be easy to trace.
But the point is how it can help during the pandemic not what are the things that can be used to harm others or for illegal purposes.
It ishelping WHO and UN in data collection from all across the world. Corona is a threat but there is decline in new infections in most countries now and only few countries are there which take is as a threat so all good.
Are you sure that they have said that blockchain is what they're using in decreasing the threat of corona virus? it's more of medical not technological.
6469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best place to find new low cap projects? on: August 09, 2020, 11:45:45 AM
It is risky this time. Projects that are low capped can lead you to losses and no return of your investment. It's a gamble but if you think that you can find your luck with it.
Be sure to check them out first and don't believe on it quickly when someone calls it out as a good project which has been suggested to you.

agree that it is hard, but would not call it impossible
there are good projects behind the scenes, do not just follow guideline news, you should check announcements here, contact project team if possible, check road-map and on-going development, and do due-diligence to be sure, and then you have some chances to be successful
even good project that have all fundamentals could fail due to market conditions and mismanagement
It is not impossible but as I say, it's risky. Those basic information that you have said can do good or harm to you.
It's hard to trust new projects if you're longing to invest for the low cap coins. You will never know who are the true ones and what project you have invested just like a lottery.
6470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to trade ether as an alternative to Bitcoin trading. on: August 09, 2020, 11:16:20 AM
In which coins you are good in trading, practice and stay on it.
This is traders main problem here in the game, stick to what works for you as simple quote on finger tips, I have discovered when I was a day trader, I lost when I divert my trade to other coin because I'm out of my favourite seeking for already dumped coin to buy not knowing from the indepth trend of the coin, I learnt my lesson immediately to stick to coin you know it progresses.
I have learned that with myself. I'm not successful finding the other coins of my like and day trade it because of the volume that they get.
As long as you're touching the good one and you make out of it, stick to it. That's a better strategy and only you can find out what's best for you.

6472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Swap BTC LTC on: August 09, 2020, 10:16:24 AM
Do you already try to use the Atomic wallet, Jaxx Liberty wallet, Coinomi wallet, or another multicurrency wallet to swap your bitcoin to ltc? That can help you to stay away from KYC, which you don't want to fill. You can use an online service such as Changelly, switchere.com, coinswitch.co, evonax.com, etc. But I never tried with the online service because I prefer to use the wallet for my mobile phone or my desktop.
I've tried those services except those that I've crossed and I'm satisfied, I never had problems with them and OP said the exchange on Exodus, the swap. I have used it too and never had problems as well.
You now have a lot of choices OP.

Hi Aksana, your artworks are great. Although, I'm not going to avail. Do you post in other marketplaces for your products? Like these marketplaces for art.
6474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - the niche within a niche and incredibly small community on: August 09, 2020, 08:36:06 AM
The problem that will come out lately is like the ICO and that is when scammers dominated the DeFis. We're about to see them soon so for those who will like to get into Defi.
There could also be a bubble with Defi but you think if they're like that this time. But IMO, we're seeing a natural growth of the crypto market.
6475  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 27-Jul-2020] on: August 09, 2020, 08:06:17 AM
It's ok guys, Hhampuz has already chosen the participant to fill the spot for Freebitco.in signature campaign.

6476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unique use case. on: August 08, 2020, 10:36:42 PM
I believe some of those projects having the same use cases come as a way of filling  a gap left by the previous project which had the same use case. for instance we have so many projects coming up with different crypto wallets , this is not bad in my opinion because we need a lot of wallets to choose the best . And when there is competition developers who are serious will sit up and improve on their project.
Each project has their own wallets made if they don't rely on Ethereum network as an ERC20 token so they have to make their own wallet. That's why we see projects have different wallet addresses while for the others, we see requiring Ethereum address because they're on the Ethereum blockchain. And for the use case, nothing unique for most of them.
6477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 08, 2020, 10:01:16 PM
You don't have to be skilled in able for you to bet. Sportsbooks don't have any specific rule of being skilled as a requirement before you can bet.
Betting can make a bettor good if he keeps on accepting the learning process. The loss bets and other things he learn as he bet.

Why don't you sell it on Binance? They have STMX/ETH pairs.

6479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some of the best Tether Crypto Casinos of 2020 on: August 07, 2020, 11:28:00 PM
Betchain is the only casino that I'm familiar with.
I never understand why would anyone need tether or USDT to play in casino when they can play with bitcoins and other crypto currencies.
Those who want to play with USD should play at the fiat based casino's.
It is stable and not all gamblers want to gamble with their bitcoins or ethereum. The volatility isn't that much with stable coins and they prefer to play with it to be safe from fees and volatility.
6480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to trade ether as an alternative to Bitcoin trading. on: August 07, 2020, 10:17:39 PM
ETH is also one of the crypto assets that managed to recover and be stable after the market crash in March 2002.
2002?
You can choose between ETH or bitcoin if you want to trade. Both are good for trading as they are very good in volume. In which coins you are good in trading, practice and stay on it.
