6481  Economy / Economics / Re: Greek crisis on: July 15, 2015, 06:13:33 AM
DO you think Greek crisis is good tourism? Will the Greek crisis make travel there cheaper ? Will the economic turmoil in Greece frighten or attract tourists?

Yes since people need cash to pay their employees tourists provide a cash flow outside of the Closed banking system
As a result they can get better deals than if they tried to use a visa/mastercard its also why merchants tend to not be taking cards at present.
For travel well the plane is the same cost but the cost of souvenirs is likely cheap.
Airbnb for Greece has some pretty good deals as well

6482  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israel and Saudi Arabia present united front over Iran deal on: July 15, 2015, 06:10:40 AM
Watched some Charlie Rose
It looks like the negotiations made sense since they were close enough to building the nuclear weapon that if they did not interfere they would either need to allow Iran to have the arms or declare a war against a nuclear power.
Its less costly and more effective than another war.
6483  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vladimir Putin: You can use bitcoins for some operations on: July 15, 2015, 06:03:18 AM
The fact that he didn't condemn bitcoins is enough of a positive to take out of this article. Frankly, having the bitcoin word come out of his mouth at all is plenty of advertisement which will spur Russians to look into further.
Good to hear that Putin is neutral on Bitcoin and its users
It means that development is possible to some extent.
6484  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Say goodbye to cheap water? on: July 15, 2015, 05:58:21 AM
Without a doubt water is the next big market it also is one where companies know that first-right to water is important
If your planting a claim its best to have older rights example California
I can live without oil but I can't live without water.
6485  Economy / Securities / Re: What you guys call "an investment in a gambling website" on: July 15, 2015, 05:13:31 AM
I am guessing they mean investin in the bankroll of a site, and then get a cut every month or so

I hope that is what people mean when they invest in the site
Otherwise that would explain a lot of gambling bankruptcies.
That said finding a reliable bankroll can be the challenge as a few sites have defaulted historically.
6486  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: July 14, 2015, 08:45:33 AM
Did you guys noticed, the greek government is now begging the EU to give them austerity, but a "better" austerity, to favor the greeks.

Thats as much as a referendum clearly wanting the opposite is worth nowadays. Can't trust politicians nowadays guys.

So this makes them lose not only the EU's trust in greece, but now the population will lose trust in their government too, default is inevitable...

It will be interesting even inside the party their is a split occurring
For me it seems like this is what the EU wants to break their leader so they can get someone else in there always dangerous trying to negotiate with them from a political standpoint.

6488  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2 years ago Cyprus, now Greece? new bubble on the way? on: July 12, 2015, 05:29:21 AM
Will Greece's failure bring to a new rise of bitcoin price in next months? Maybe a bubble? How much? Tell your opinions.

Perhaps a large bubble could occur
10% Large
50% Medium
30% Small
10% Nothing
At least that is what I put my odds at for now
I did hear a Greece hotel owner say he was investing in Digital currency on local tv so it might catch on yet.
6489  Economy / Economics / Re: Free Candy Bar or a 10 oz Silver Bar? Hmmmm, let me think! on: July 11, 2015, 07:42:11 AM
You must be kidding me right?  Candy bar are 2.6 oz and Silver Bar are 10 oz, so considering price of Silver I could sell easily last one and buy more than 10  candy bars...... Cheesy

This. I don't know whats the point. Even if you holded the candy bar until a candy bar bubble happened, by the time it happens the candy bar you hold would be out of date of consunmtion therefore rendered useless, while silver will still be valuable.

I must concur with this point a metal has no known expiration date while a candy bar most certainly does
Or a tulip bulb perhaps.
Now if the question was this is the last candy bar on the planet and the other person has silver then we really must have destroyed the world.
6490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Personal Thank You to the MORONS fucking up the Blockchain on: July 10, 2015, 05:37:51 AM
Don't worry. The Bitcoin price will in all likelihood come way down. But then, after everyone sees that you can't break Bitcoin, the price will soar back up higher than ever... maybe even in the $1,000 range.

Smiley

I'm still optimistic that is what will happen the alternative is that people hang out in Litecoin for a while at least that is what seems to be occurring at present nearing $10 USD already.
6491  Economy / Economics / Re: If Greece defaults on: July 10, 2015, 05:34:18 AM
Well it looks like Greece has sents its proposal to the EU for scrutiny
We will see their response to it on Sunday

6492  Economy / Economics / Re: How much Bitcoin to move to the UK/USA ? on: July 10, 2015, 05:24:10 AM
Alright . First of all this thread is not for trolling and only for serious people who are willing to help me with providing good informations .

I live in Algeria which is a rich country with oil , gaz and gold and other crap basically but it's still shit . I'am just a simple teenager with big dreams .
I may move to England or United State of America and I would like how much USD should I need or basically how much BTC do I need to move there (as a start) and what does it take to find a good or decent salary job and how easy/hard it is . (price for living monthly etc ... ) what ever you think it's necessary informations just throw them at me .

Pretty sure that this thread should belong into Economics because I'am speaking about Finance and money etc ... thank you Smiley

I would recommend using Numbeo to get a good comparison of costs in different cities
That said to qualify for entry into the United States you need to have a certain amount of money in your account or a job option to get the Green Card perhaps as a translator.
A good amount of money to start off is $2000 to pay off the first month or two of rent and food while looking for work.
6493  Economy / Economics / Re: CEO of Bitcoin Startups Listed on the Forbes Top Ten Richest People In the World on: July 10, 2015, 05:06:16 AM
When will we can see the world richest people in the world listing the CEO of a bitcoin startup...and could be this will happen? and how many years later it will be a reallity?

It would take some time and for Bitcoin to grow significantly to be technical if we include Satoshi he wouldn't be on the Fortune 500 yet but as we do not know his identity we can't say hes the richest person in the world.
My guess is that in 15-25 years if Bitcoin grows and gets successful startups.
As an aside it is funny that they listed Satoshi as Dorian lol...

6494  Economy / Economics / Re: Iceland Recovering Fast in Europe After Jailing Bankers Instead of Bailing Them on: July 10, 2015, 05:02:34 AM
Some of the people in this thread need to calm down man, I understand that the banks have screwed over a lot of people and I am not asking you to forgive them, sure, they deserve to be punished and be inside a god damn prison cell alright. But let's not talk about how yall want their kids and the wife to suffer just because the head of the family was a bad man. Change comes from within, let's be better than those banksters and have mercy over their families atleast..

Regardless of whatever the bad people of the banks did, I find it unreasonable to punish their families too. Don't worry about that though, people here are just angry, they are not the judge of anything. The courts make sure that the families of such homes are not deeply affected and make proper arrangements for them so at least they can have an average life.

That seems fair but no organization should be above the law including the police and the individual CEOs of the banks as they also earned their income because of placing undue risk on other people that would result in prosecution and directly or indirectly when things go south also hurt many other families with their actions.
It could also blamed on the corporate structure but those at the top tend to take the brunt of the penalty for the actions as they generally are the ones that make the decisions at the end of the day.
6495  Economy / Economics / Re: fallout from China’s stock market crash may be coming your way on: July 10, 2015, 04:59:09 AM
What do you think guys about the fall of the china's stock market, It could bring benefit to bitcoin as has already happened with Greece?

http://qz.com/445344/is-turmoil-from-chinas-stock-market-downturn-headed-your-way/

EDIT: please move in the right section if this isn't the correct board, sry

The benefits of Greece collapsing and China deleveraging would bring attention and movement to safe haven currencies and other assets, some of that would flow into Bitcoin by extension and also altcoins by the looks of the Litecoin rally.
That said China would require a lot of individual attention as banks are still fairly restricted in the handling of it if I recall correctly.
6496  Economy / Economics / Re: I need bitcoin to be $690 to break even.....will I make it? on: July 10, 2015, 04:56:38 AM
I bought my first bitcoin at about $350 , right now I wait for the value to go up to cover my losses.
no problem just Hold !

you are in a much better condition, 350 isn't so far away, we can grasp it, even in this month with the recent premises

690 need a good boost to be taken instead, with the current climbing, OP can hope to achieve it, by this year

Well it doesn't hurt to ride a few other waves that come in on the way to $690 if the opportunity arises
Holding till then seems to work but looking at the Litecoin rally having a few multipliers to burn is always a good idea.
6497  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 10, 2015, 04:51:51 AM
Calm before the (bull)storm?
Can we just change this to the litecoin observer for the next 48 hours?

If this isn't the top, then the top is gonna be something spectacular!

(Fucking tiny pic won't take my images any more, any one have a suggestion?)

Honestly I wouldn't mind but this is technically the Bitcoin observer thread
That said Litecoin is going to have quite the bubble pop seeing that rise, as for Bitcoin well its not following litecoins pattern at all so it might just see a slow rise instead.
6498  Economy / Gambling / Re: ➫ ➬ ➫ ➬ LUCKYB.IT ★ +1.5M bets ★ +73k BTC wagered on: July 10, 2015, 04:49:56 AM
What about non confirmed bets, I have several large transactions that are not confirmed because they are grouped and were sent to medium priority and have not been mined in a day. This sounds fishy... I think you guys should return all non-confirmed bets as well as we cannot even see the bets go down the runaway so to speak.

New bets should not be processed quickly but old bets made yesterday or early today should be processed as quickly as possible.

That is beyond LB's control. Your transactions are unconfirmed because of the "stress test" (or you may call it a "spam attack"), and the only people that can confirm your transactions are the miners.

If your wallet doesn't re-broadcast unconfirmed transactions, they will soon be dropped by mempool and be "forgotten" by the network.

This testing is affecting gaming now that sucks, and it's sad to hear the tourny had to be cancelled look forward to seeing it another day.
It does explain why litecoin seems to be booming rising in price just had to say it (lol) add in a litecoin function.
6499  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: July 10, 2015, 04:45:11 AM
Maybe invest on LTC could be good idea too.....
Well there is always the off chance of a bubble pop if you enter at this price but in 20 years that could be a trivial thing to worry about.
6500  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 09, 2015, 09:19:37 AM
I think LTC is just catching up. It dropped way too low during the bear market (back to 2012 prices).

Honestly I am still amazed to see its recent rally seeing how it dropped for such a long time.
As it is now I'm curious if it will correct short term or increase even higher long term.

What do you expect the price to be?

I recall it's price at 1.6 not 6 months ago.

That's why I was surprised to see the rally come back so aggressively
As for what I think the price would be its hard to tell as it could either way at this point
With a moving average of 3-4 dollars that might be the stable once the rally stops or it could just keep rising for now at least its uncertain to predict one way or the other.
