6482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oldest youtube video talking about bitcoin on: May 05, 2019, 09:11:09 PM
Wow, nice one! Back in 2010 only small group of geeks knew about Bitcoin. I had read old discussions on Bitcointalk and it was mostly about technical things. So, I'm surprised that Bitcoin exaplained very simple and understandable in this video. Basically, as others said, even in 2019 we are trying to explain new people about Bitcoin very similar as it was done in this video. And it's great to see that creator of this video is still active. It's just strange that number of views of this video isn't big.
Is there any possibility that the upload date has been changed? The video description has been edited. Maybe the video was also, but if it was not, it is curious that he had so soon thought of putting a qr code for donations.
After video has been uploaded to Youtube, it's not possible to change upload date.
6483  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Site that steal Bitcoin with positive youtube's comment, SCAM? on: May 05, 2019, 08:37:35 PM
It's just another scam website. Don't even try to deposit your BTC there. Positive comments on Youtube means nothing, it's so easy to leave comments using fake profiles to make good image of service. Only person who can make money using this website is the owner of it - he will get money from naive investors who will deposit money there.
Just forget about all these magical ways to make BTC from thin air or by investing it to get huge returns. If something sounds too good to be true, 99% it's not legit.
6484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Someone inbox and offer me is it scamme? on: May 05, 2019, 08:21:08 PM
Well, is it not obvious? What confirmations do you need? It's the most primitive ponzi scheme with unbeleavable returns. Usually scammers offering much smaller returns to look more legitimate. Because nobody is going to believe that's possible make 1 BTC in 24 hours just by investing 0.25 BTC. It's f**king 400% ROI!
I see that you're not new member here, I find it a bit strange that you're asking about such obvious scams.
6485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 4-May-2019 FireFox USERS READ THIS on: May 05, 2019, 08:11:01 PM
I also haven't noticed nothing strange on Firefox, all my installed add-ons works fine. But thanks for warning OP!
Majority of the people, i for one, use google chrome to browse the internet. Only a few would be affected by this and not that they’d care of. Anyway, thanks for the heads up mate. For sure there are firefox users here, they should read this.
You're wrong by saying that only few people may be affected. Firefox is 3rd most popular browser in the world with 6%-7% share of market - it's not small numbers. Actually, I expected that they have bigger number of users and I didn't imagined that Chrome have such big dominance with over 61% of users choosing this browser.
Anyway, number of users is irrelevant when it comes to security issues.
6486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just because It’s on GitHub. It doesn’t mean it’s safe> on: May 04, 2019, 10:41:30 PM
Great suggestion. People usually afraid to download files/programs from cloud storages or file sharing websites. But if it's uploaded on Github, most people think that program is safe to use. Open source file unfortunately doesn't mean that program is safe to use. The problem that majority of people don't have skills and knowledge to review every line of code, so they trust in program just because it's open source and uploaded on Github. Personally, I also don't have knowledge to review each line of code, but I don't download random programs. I'm always looking if it's been reviewed by someone already, I also avoid files if it's been uploaded by new user.
I don't even talk about Play Store. There is so much shit there because everyone can upload programs there after paying small fee and these files are not reviewed by anyone before uploading it. You must be very careful on Google Play.
6487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: May 04, 2019, 10:14:40 PM

I'm watching this match and 1.85 for Celta is too low. the game is equal and Barca even without key players looks better than Celta.
Barcelona is playing with their C team today LOL but they are playing well. Did anyone see the odd for Barcelona now? It's 6.75 LOL
Bookies are really taking a lot of risks.

Still 0 - 0 though.
Who do you think will win or this will be draw match?
I can't say that Barca played well. They had ball posession, but nothing more, they didn't created nothing dangerous. Celta deserved to win and now they have good chances to stay in La Liga.
It was interesting to watch some young players tonight like Wague, Puig, Collado, Todibo, some of them left good impression. But I can't understand what Boateng is doing in this team...
Worst thing that Dembele got injury in such meaningless game, I hope it's not serious.
@Harkorede, I agree with your point. One thing that I don't like is that Barca struggling to integrate young players from La Masia to the first team. Who is last player from academy playing in main squad on regular basis? Sergi Roberto lol. Ok, maybe Alena get some time now. Now Barca rather buy young talent from other clubs, and we saw lot of failures in recent years with such transfers. It will be impossible to replace Messi, but there will be lot of problems to replace current main players when they will become old.
6488  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: May 04, 2019, 05:09:14 PM

Lucky you. I haven't been able to claim for around 24 hours now.

Seems fine here. Unfortunately there's zero compensation whatsoever if your daily bonus has reset to 0%
Now I'm getting this error:
Quote
Error 524 Ray ID: 4d1c09365f23b4de • 2019-05-04 17:02:59 UTC
A timeout occurred
In recent days it's difficult to use Moonbitcoin, it's down very often or sometimes it loads very slow. Luckily I didn't lost my loaylaty bonus, but probably many users weren't able to claim in 24 hours and lost it. I also see decrease of referral commission that I'm getting.
6489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: May 04, 2019, 11:47:54 AM
Today Celta will place against Barca. It's very important game for Celta if they want to stay in La Liga. Meanwhile Barca today will play without all their main players. Basically, we will see Barca B today. I probably never saw 4.10 odds for Barca win in La Liga, even when they play against Real or Atletico. What are your thoughts about this game. Maybe someone are going with Celta win tonight?
6490  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Announcing BPIP - The Bitcointalk Public Information Project! on: May 03, 2019, 11:05:22 PM
And are people aware of the bpip chrome plugin....nobody talks about it  Roll Eyes

That's because we are releasing a new one within a month - it will show default trust scores and a banned/inactive/dt1/dt2 icon on each post in every section.

As well as some new features we will announce later.  Smiley
Are you planning to launch plugin only for Chrome? As Firefox user I would love to see this plugin on Firefox. Don't force me to use Chrome Cheesy
And new theme with some new stuff added looks great, great job @ibminer and @Vod!
6491  Other / Meta / Re: Ideas for improving local boards? on: May 03, 2019, 10:51:20 PM
It's difficult mission to improve local boards. Actually, some local boards like Philippines, Russia, Indonesia and few others is very active and probably need any improvement. It's probably because these countries have big population and lot of people interested in crypto. My country don't have dedicated board, just thread in Other languages & locations and I can say it's dead. There was only 2 posts made in 2018. Even when Bitcoin was at $20 000 things were same as now there. People just used other communication channels to discuss - social networks, some local boards. So - what I can do to improve our thread - talk to myself? Actually, I know enough Bitcointalk users from my country, but they prefer to discuss in English boards. It's a problem of country with small population - no matter what you will do, it's just impossible with limited number of people to compete with content written in English. There is even a probkem with books - not all popular books are being translated to our language because it's just not worth to do that and people are forced to read some books in English and other languages.
There is some ways how we can improve local boards, but I think it can have only minimal influence. If you see potential in your local board, try to be more active there, start some discussions, help other users and etc - it's important to play your own role before complaining about something. Having active Merit source in local board may help, but it's not key factor.
And public secret - probably many people aren't very active in local boards because most of sig campaigns/bounties aren't paying for posts in these sections. Now Cloudbet campaign is looking for local posters in their campaign - it will be interesting to watch results of this experiment. But there is one problem related with signature campaigns and local posts - if manager don't understand that language, it will be more difficult for hime to check quality of posts there.
And another thing - theymos can't find mods for some local boards - it shows that situation is really bad in some boards and it will be difficult to change something there.
6492  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eurovision Song Contest on: May 02, 2019, 10:16:21 PM
You can find it on Cloudbet:
https://www.cloudbet.com/en/sports/international/eurovision-song-contest/c13321/outrights
Now you only can bet on Russia, Sweden, Netherlandsor Switzerland to win, but probably more countries will be added until contest.
How do you pick a winner for the Eurovision Song Contest? that yearly song contest has always seem rigged to me!

I don't think it's rigged, but there is way to much politics in Eurovision song contest and not always best singer and song wins. I'm quite disappointed about winners in recent years, so I stopped watching Eurovision.
6493  Other / Meta / Re: Cryptios on: May 02, 2019, 09:28:57 PM
Thank you guys for what you're doing! Hacked accounts was one of the biggest problems on Bitcointalk, it's great to see how things changed in recent months. People finally got chance to get their accounts back. And numbers of recovered accounts looks impressive. Offcourse, I guess there is still lot of work to do.
About this mystery, I had prediction in my mind that Copper Membership with special perks was awarded by admins, but I had no idea why these users are so special. Now it's clear, thank you theymos for this announcement.
6494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: May 02, 2019, 09:11:25 PM
Arsenal – Valencia 3-1  that last goal by arsenal just before full time should be enough to secure a spot in the final.
Eintracht Frankfurt – Chelsea  1-1 the return match is still open, but I still think Chelsea will make it to the final.
I have to agree with you. 3:1 result isn't 100% safe, but now I just don't see Valencis winning against Arsenal 2:0.
I didn't watched Chelsea game, but looking at stats it looks that they dominated tonight. Still, I don't think that 1:1 result in away patch can be called as bad result. This pair is still open, but it will be very difficult for Eintracht to win at Stamford Bridge.
6495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: May 02, 2019, 07:24:18 PM
Personally, I don't want to see English final in Europa league
Do you mind if I ask why?
Well, I'm not a big fan of English football and I don't feel sympathy to both these teams. I would like to see one of teams which are considered as underdogs winning this trophy.
Arsenal 1:1 Valencia after first 20 minutes of the game.
Eintracht 1:0 Chelsea. Both matches looks interesting!
6496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2018-2019 on: May 02, 2019, 05:53:55 PM
Personally, I don't want to see English final in Europa league, so I will support Valencia and Eintracht tonight. Odds for Arsenal win looks interesting. But considering awful recent Arsenal results in EPL, I'm not sure that they can beat Valencia today.
I choose BTTS in Eintracht - Chelsea match. This game looks difficult to predict.
6497  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: May 01, 2019, 09:26:30 PM
Does we really have 0 golden ticket so far or is it only a bug on the website?

https://puu.sh/DmxYz/e840fe30a9.png

I also wanted to check how many Golden tickets was bought in the first day, but failed to find this information. Probably this issue will be fixed soon and we will see exact numbers. It's just impossible that nobody haven't bought Golden tickets so far Cheesy

6499  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Overview of faucet scripts on: May 01, 2019, 09:14:43 PM
Scripts, where is in the review is not written the price was a free script?
Also, do you have any list with "faucet list" script?

I have not been in a faucet world for a long time, just thinking that maybe re-activate some of my domains.
If price isn't written, it means that faucet script is free. If script is paid, you can see price below description of that script.
Currently I don't have list of faucet list scripts, maybe it would be good idea to make such list, but now I don't have enough time unfortunately. Now I can suggest only Gr8.cc faucet list script:

6500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: May 01, 2019, 08:58:28 PM
3:0 win against Liverpool! I'm dreaming? If yes, I don't want to wake up. I really didn't expected that such result is possible. And it doesn't reflect the game at all. I can't say that we deserved such big win. Liverpool had good match and even dominated for some time in second half. But they wasted some moments, also we saw few great saves by ter Stegen. And Messi - perfect free kick goal. He is probably scoring free kicks better thsn penalties this season. I lost count how many free kicks he scored this season.
Still, I don't think that fight is over already. Liverpool aren't going to give up.
