New coins are hard to have traction if most of the popular and top coins are always on the top. Investors mostly want to have secured profits through investing now with those type of coins after the bearish market that brought bad memories for them. It's either they've invested to a wrong coin that's full of hype before and now it has very low value. There will be few altcoins to have that kind of gain but to the extent and generalization that most of them will, I don't think they will.

Receiving dividend is all good if you have large amount of those tokens if you want to have decent profit from those.
But having small portion of their token just for the dividend, I don't think it's good enough although there's small profit but if you don't have plans of increasing it, I don't think it's worth it. I've invested to one dividend token which I won't mention and lost around 0.04BTC that's why I'm off with this kind of coins although I know there's still good ones existing. But I just stopped and don't have further plans of getting into it now, maybe in the future I will.

Are they feeling threatened? There's two things on my mind about this news.
First, this is true that they are feeling Libra as a threat. Second, they are hyping the project and making publicity to it so that more people will be curious and interested to know more about it.

Many coins got an increase of 1000x but I don't think for the new comers to the market, this will be a challenging phase to all of you.
I don't think that like the early coins, bitcoin and other altcoins reached, it's likely that you'll get the support because investors now are becoming wiser with the choice of coins they had. And majority is leaning to the popular and coins that has large volume.

There will be a pull back, every time bitcoin moves like that we see another price to reach.
I don't think that bitcoin will follow $5-$6k although that looks low now but it's possible.
