There was quite a bit of drama with coinidiot as poeple labeled the so-called newspaper that was spamming the board like mad at that time. I guess I missed those events. I don't really visit the Press board hence my ignorance about the whole situation. After discussing that, out of curiosity I tried to search for lists, not to find out by name specifically but to see if they are that many indeed and it's quite possible I've stumbled upon the same sources, and yeah, there are a ton. Yeah, without much effort you could probably find hundreds of these crypto news sites or news aggregators (whatever they are called). Maybe someone remembers that guy from China who came with his big dao farm few months ago, after he was busted by Ratimov ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) RainbowKun or something like that, right? He was very active in the Bitcoin Discussions sub, but nothing happened to him if I remember correctly. I think he is still around.

I have never heard of it. The domain has been around for many years but there is no mention of that particular casino on Bitcointalk from what I can see. The only times it was mentioned is when you posted a few links to your review site. Since they don't have an ANN thread on the forum, I won't consider it. Thanks! I see there is a site namely luckydiamond with a faucet that can be claimed every 3 minutes. I have a feeling that I had a look at that platform at one point in the future but decided not to include it on my list. I can't remember the reason though. I will take a another look and add it if needed. One more thing, you need to remove bit-exo from the list because they have gone since months ago. Good point. I have removed it now!
Anything else?

I'm more surprised that there are 70 crypto news whatever websites that would dare to call themselves popular... If you repeat it enough times, it will become true. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) @Pmalek since just providing the list would not count as an accusation or anything I would be really grateful if you could share the list, seeing that number make me think I've completely lost touch with the trend and I'm really starting to get too old and behind the times. If you are interested in the names of the websites, I can PM you a few sources from where I gathered the majority of the information besides the ones I already knew. I don't want to make it public and provide everything on a platter to those looking to spam this place. Ps, did you send an email to coinidol too? No, I don't think so. I can't find anything in the sent folder. Why? <Snip> I didn't know that such services are being offered on websites for freelancers, but I am not surprised to be honest.

If you know any crypto casino whose free faucet should be on the list, please let me know. Is there some new trustworthy sites with free faucets that I have missed? One of the conditions I have is that the site doesn't have negative feedback from DTs for legitimate reasons.

@Pmalek can you clarify what exactly the donations are going to be used for? No donations yet as I haven't collected anything. I am just pondering on the idea to do that. 5-6 days have passed since I sent that message via Instagram and there has not been a response yet. I will soon try and get in touch with the TV station and the people from the show where I heard about this case. They might be willing to provide a way to contact someone from her team. It's her call and the decision of her coaches and parents what the money will be used for. Travel, preparation, gear, accommodation, nutrition...

The only surprise for me is that you've got such answers from only 10% of the newspapers, although I acknowledge that the starting 70 you reached out is quite a big number. I honestly expected greater interest in my fake services when I started this experiment. It is possible that some of the emails ended up in spam folders, plus they were sent around or during the Christmas and New Year holidays. Maybe a few more interested parties will reply back soon. What is also interesting is that only one site wrote back saying they aren't interested. Everyone else remained quiet. You are probably right when you said that some shilling might be done by them alone, so they don't need to pay other people for it. Lastly, the top 5-10 sites probably generate enough traffic and they aren't interested in campaigns like the one I proposed.

I have a suggestion and something that you can add to the Wrong Quoting segment of your OP. Besides pyramid quotes and improper quoting, forum users should also not quote the OP when replying in a thread. I hate it when I see that somewhere on the 4th page of a discussion someone quoted the OP to reply. It's unnecessary. Quoting images, especially big ones shouldn't be done either. Some newbies enter the forum to earn some bitcoins and altcoins hastily without paying attention to the primary of bitcoin. Primary what? You probably missed a word here. Maybe "use case" or "purpose".

My question to you is why would you want to get yourself involved in managing bounties? Most of them are scams. The majority will never get listed on good exchanges and their aim is that the developers and creators cash out and dump their tokens before county hunters and investors get the chance to do the same.
The best altcoin projects didn't have bounty campaigns! If the project turns out to be a scam, people will look at you as a scammer as well. If you don't get the promised bounty allocation from the devs or you distribute less than what was promised, people will again think bad of you. Too many things can go wrong, it's just not worth it in my opinion.
Instead of bounty management, why not manage signature campaigns that pay in Bitcoin or a tradable altcoin? Create an advertisement company, work with people from the forum whose skills you are familiar with (translating, designing, creating videos, etc.), and offer proper services for real money (fiat or listed cryptos) to newcomers in the crypto business.

A few weeks ago, there was some talk in Meta that certain members were shilling links and articles from different crypto sites on the forum. Some users thought that it was a matter of paid shilling campaigns. I wanted to test this theory, so I decided to contact about 70 of some of the world's most popular cryptocurrency news sites. I pretended to be an advertiser with multiple Bitcointalk accounts who wanted to use those accounts to make posts, shill, and advertise articles and links to their platforms. I will not share the content of the emails I sent to not give anyone any ideas. Although, this post alone is enough to do just that. The goal was to find out if crypto media outlets are interested in paying to have their brand and articles mentioned and discussed on Bitcointalk. Of all the emails I sent and forms I filled out, 7 sites showed an interest in working with me (unfortunately, I deleted one of those emails before I could take a screenshot of it), they wanted to discuss the pricing, and services offered by my fake advertisement team. I will show screenshots of those replies, but without revealing the names of the sites or people to whom I spoke. My aim is not to doxx them. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. The conclusion is that Bitcointalk is a place that remains relevant for some crypto news sites. They don’t mind discussing and even paying someone for advertisement/shill campaigns. So, the next time you see a specific member or a group of people shilling a particular brand or 3rd-party website aggressively, it is quite possible that they are paid for it.

Who are the DT members ? What's there function ? DT means Default Trust. It's further divided into DT1 and DT2. The lists are made up of the forum's most trusted members who ensure that certain community standards are being respected. Scamming or spamming are some of the reasons why you could end up with a negative feedback by the DT community. Since scams aren't moderated by the forum and its moderators, DT members make sure that those who scam are rightly tagged. Check out the following threads to read more about the DT system: Marketplace trustDefaultTrust changes[Explained] How DT system works

It could literally be a name of: - a token project
- an NFT project
- an influencer/YouTuber
- a crypto news site
Maybe he has been watching the BitcoinTalk Youtube show and is now trying to find out who that ninja person is who is hosting it ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) . Sorry mate, you will have to stick around for a few more episodes before he tells us who he is. I guess he can still be categorized as a Youtuber, probably not an influencer though.

Lack of knowledge about what it really is, and not enough interest to find out more about it. I didn't see a reason why we needed a decentralized payment system, and how can money (value) be moved around without some sort of intermediary. There were other alternatives that I was happier to use. Being in control of your own money is still a new concept, after so many generations have used and been taught to use and trust banks. Bitcoin was something unknown, created by someone unknown, and used anonymously. I didn't think it would work...

Honestly this is my opinion no body can earn from trading because many people says trading too much easy way to make money but that alternative side that is very difficult way to trade. Wrong. Some people make money trading crypto and stocks but it's a lot more difficult than people think. And it's not recommended for those who are just starting out, have no education, or experience with financial markets. For one successful crypto trader who makes regular profits, there are dozens if not hundreds who regularly lose their money. If you don't know what you are doing, you are more likely to increase the count in the second group.

if you dont trust your own family in your own home. maybe you should get a divorce and get your kids sent away to be adopted.(joke) My kids are young, I don't want them around when handling sensitive stuff because they're distracting. I know that you were joking, but children can get you into trouble unintentionally. LoyceV mentioned one way that can happen. They distract you from your work because you have to pay attention that they don't fall down and injure themselves or they don't destroy something of value. Let me give you another example. When kids get to a certain age, they start making up stories and innocent lies as their imagination starts running wild. What seems cute, can become troublesome. My friend's little pooper loves playing with me. We wrestle and he pushes me around and it's all fun. Recently, he has started "lying" and making up stories how other people hit him. Sounds cute? Maybe. It's not that cute being asked by the kindergarten teacher if you hit your children. That happened to my friend because his boy was letting his imagination run wild in front of everyone. He also told his teacher that his dad's friend (me) kicked him in the head and body-slammed him to the floor. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) If your kids figure out that you are doing something on your computer with Bitcoin and money, that crazy imagination can come alive again and you never know who might be listening or be interested in their stories. Andreas is using paper wallet to refer to "classic" paper wallets, which are a print out of a single private key and address, and I would agree that such wallets are outdated and expose the user to a number of unnecessary risks which I've talked about in a previous post. And Andreas explained that in the beginning of his video. Because of that, he isn't wrong when he says that (single-key) paper wallets are obsolete and there are better ways to secure your Bitcoin.

I admit, I'm lazy ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) I don't just search for posts to Merit (unless I'm checking someone's post history), so I need to find them from my normal forum reading. I wouldn't mind dumping 30 times 50 Merit on very good posts, but I don't want to spend days looking for them. Since I became a merit source, I haven't really changed much in the way I send merits except that instead of 1, I can now afford to give 2-3 or more merits for the same type of post because I have a source allocation now. When we are talking about difficulties in finding merit-worthy posts, I am not struggling on that front either. As I read through the threads I find interesting and might reply to, I just merit those posts that I like and that's it.

@gacpoue Filling Meta with your thoughtless spam posts isn't enough, now you have decided to plagiarize as well? Don't bother deleting it, forum scrappers have picked it up by now. People realize that Merit is worthless right?

There doesn't have to be an official BTIP thread created by theymos or the staff, feel free to create your own where you can include the improvements you have and those from other users that are willing to contribute to it. You can even PM theymos a link to it and see how he feels about it. Theymos is quick to respond and fix things that involve the forum's security and the usability of it. Proof 1 and 2. I doubt we will see major changes made to the current forum software though. As others have pointed out, the new forum is in the making. Just in time when the first colonies will colonize Mars, the new forum software is planned to be released ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) . Two significant milestones for humankind.

a person with Legendary rank has no advantages in receiving merits, as much as in spending them to incremental the pool of reliable users (with high rank) That's not really accurate. They are crucial for signature campaigns, no matter the rank. Imagine if most people refused meriting legendary users despite their level of posting and a spot opened up in a signature campaign. A legendary member with 4 earned merits in the recent months goes head-to-head with a hero member who has earned 300 in the same period. Who do you think will have the bigger chance to get accepted by most campaign managers? Besides that, it's a recognition of your work and contribution. For that, rank doesn't matter. Time and effort should be rewarded.
What immediately caught my eye in this graphical representation is how stingy mocacinno is with rewarding others with merits. ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Let's see if he says anything...

You need to ask them to add any markets and sports that are missing and maybe they will consider adding them. They can only add something that people show demand for betting, and volleyball is not very popular in all countries around the world. There wouldn't be much action in that regard from my side. That's why I don't want to. It's not like I am looking to place hundreds of volleyball bets a month. I know a little bit about the sport and when I see something that is worth the risk, I play it. Few months ago I asked them to make some changes for MMA betting because I am looking for betting on Live MMA fights. And how did that work out? Did they listen to your suggestions and implemented the things you asked for?

I think winter Olympics ice hockey has same restrictions just like Olympics football has some restrictions. Teams can't send there 1st tier football team in Olympics same may true for winter Olympics ice hockey. So ice hockey in winter Olympics won't be of IIHF and NHL level Don't try to explain the Winter Olympics and the ice hockey tournament if you don't know what you are talking about. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) It doesn't have any restrictions. If the best players are available, meaning those who play in the NHL, and they want to participate, they can. But in normal conditions, the ice hockey tournament together with the Olympics takes place during the playoffs of the NHL. Those players who feature in NHL teams who don't qualify for the playoffs are free to join their national teams. But those who still have club duties aren't released and allowed to play. If a team drops out of the playoffs, it often happens that certain national team players arrive to the tournament late. Others don't got at all.
