6521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas closes casinos and hotels in lieu of coronavirus on: March 20, 2020, 10:57:15 AM
In a huge blow to the gambling community Las Vegas casinos, and hotels are shutting down to prevent the spread of coronavirus and as a fellow gambler I can feel the pain of the gamblers who won’t be able to gamble, but as a human being I feel that they had no other choice except to close down the hotels and the casinos.
I can feel it but the main priority right now of the people around the world is their safety so they choose not to gamble too for their safety and aside from that, casinos and some of the hotels are being shut down. They don't any other choice since they don't want to risk other lives for the sake of money so closing temporarily is the best thing that they can do and at least there are some gamblers who will spend their time with other people too Smiley.

Well, we heard some news that the virus was created by someone but of course we can't believe on that easily.
I have thought this theory too that China has created this virus to reduce our global population. We know already that the number of people here are increasing day by day so they are secretly making different kinds of viruses in a secret lab that will be used for their plan to reduce population. This is just my theory so no evidences at all. Just a random shit that came out of my mind.
6522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: March 20, 2020, 10:43:20 AM
Many people have become addicted in gambling is because it is entertaining and at the same time you can earn good money with it,
Most of the gamblers are getting addicted into it because of the fact that is gambling entertaining and you can win money on gambling in an easy way. We all want to be comfortable and maybe for them, gambling is the way to achieve it. The only problem is, they can't control themselves and they have no plan in whatever situation may happen to them. They must have a plan if they win and if they lose.

but the bad side of it is you could lose all of your money if you didn't control yourself from playing.
As I said, lack of control can lead to total loss of money and worse they can get more money in their house or borrow money from their companions just to have money to use for gambling and at the same time, getting their lose money.

Before you turn into playing gambling you should have limitations because not everyday you could gain back all of your losses and it will not be fun anymore if you always lose.
Unfortunately, this is the one that is lacking on the gamblers. They don't know the word "limit". They don't have any limitations especially if they are winning. They must put a target price if they win and once it reaches then they must stop gambling at all cost but they don't but they will become greedier as they are winning until such time that all of their money will be lost then that is the time they will stop gambling.
6523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: March 20, 2020, 10:20:48 AM
Now that almost all sporting events all over the world are cancelled, those wanting bet of sports events are left with having to find alternatives. What are the majority doing?
1. Probably some of them are finding alternatives for them to gamble.
2. Probably some of them stopped and focused on their family and their needs as they are experiencing this shitty virus.

Are some gambling on casinos instead?
For sure, most of the casinos right now all over the world are closed already because of the virus. Most of the countries right now are already affected by this stupid virus. Maybe if there are some countries who aren't affected right now and has a casino then probably they are still operating until this time.

What are alternatives most sports betting users are now switching to?
For me, none. Instead of finding an alternative way to bet, it would be better if they will just stay in their house and spend time to their love ones. Watch TV with them or anything that can make them happy as long as they will not gamble. For sure, their health is their priority right now.

On the other hand, if they are just addicted into gambling and they really want to gamble then online sites probably the one they are switching now.
6524  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Default - theyoungmillionaire u=1180530 on: March 19, 2020, 02:08:08 PM
Even if a thousand "Sorry for your loss" messages are posted here only the lender knows how sad and painful this process is.
I will not say "Sorry for your loss" right now because of this post but will say...... can't think of it

Anyway, I know how that feels because I also experienced being defaulted on a loan. The only difference is that the amount of the loan that is defaulted to you is very huge. 0.388224 BTC is around 116,753 PHP here in our country right now (base on CMC converter). We can build a business already with that amount of money or franchise a business.

This user is very helpful in our local section and he sometimes shares some of his sMerits with some of our posts but there is a time where we didn't hear anything on him and we didn't expect that he will do this. He is very trustworthy and a respectable user here Sad. This is a proof that "you shouldn't trust anybody in the internet world at all". Lending has risks though like this and this is unexpected TBH.

Flag supported. No "sorry for your loss" but I do hope that this will not happen to you again.
6525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY THE BLAME ON BOUNTY HUNTERS FOR SHITCOINS? on: March 19, 2020, 12:58:17 PM
We can't blame them fully but they are part of the dumping process of the coin.

We can't change the fact that every time a bounty coin reward goes down, bounty hunters will be the one who are blamed but the truth is they are not only the ones who are dumping it and the reality is the investors and the developers themselves are the ones who are dumping first the coin making the price of it to go down. If bounty hunters are able to sell their coin, they can sell it at a lower price already compare to its initial price.

Anyway, blaming on them is ok for me as long as you will blame also the team of the project and the investors because they are the ones who are really dumping the coin first.
6526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling on: March 19, 2020, 12:42:05 PM
Can we experience a high volume on every cryptocurrency gambling website?
Since major payments are cryptos, so need to go to any bank anymore, in short more on online transactions.
Still possible but with the global crisis that we are experiencing right now? I think that the gamblers will choose to save their money and buy supplies and needs rather than using it for gambling. The economies of large countries are crashing down very hard because of this virus so I don't expect that much increase in volume on gambling sites since people will just save their money and they have other priorities in life too than just gambling their money.

I have doubts that total gambling volume would increase. Because although people will stay at home as some countries even lockdown their activities but everyone thinking about real cash that time. During global crisis we need real cash really and most of peoples are thinking buy their needs in advance. I think so, although I am in abroad but I gave instructions to my family for buy some needs especially foods. So I think very likely gambling volume would decrease instead.
This is what I'm saying. They have other priorities in life than gambling and for sure gamblers are saving their cash right now so that they can buy other things that they need like foods, masks, alcohols etc. The revenues of casinos right now are going down this quarter because of the virus but for the online gambling sites, there is still a decrease in revenue but not that much since there are many stubborn gamblers out there who choose to gamble even though we are experiencing crisis like this :X.
6527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: March 19, 2020, 12:30:06 PM
There are many reasons why people are getting addicted into it. Here are some of the reasons.

1. Money - this is the main reason why people are going to a casino or online gambling sites because they want to get money in a quick and easy way. Lets be honest, even those who are saying that they are gambling for fun wants money too because if they want to be enjoyed there are many ways to get it Smiley.

2. Peer/Friends - If you have friends who are gambling, they will urge you to gamble and since they are your friends you will try it until such time that you are getting addicted into it. Having friends that are addicted in gambling is dangerous TBH because they can push you to gamble but still it will depend on you if you really like to gamble or not.

3. Curiosity - Many people are just curious about the feelings if you gamble your money in real betting games. This will continue if they are happy doing it until the time comes that they will get addicted into gambling.
6528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction threads on: March 19, 2020, 06:47:42 AM
Does the gambling discussion here about gambling addiction help you reducing your gambling activities or helps you to think that you need to change?
I have read so many threads here (situational) and I can say that these threads helped me to become a gambler and at the same time, it also helped me to stop gambling.

I became curious when I read some threads here and I tried to gamble a portion of my weekly BTC in my current signature campaign. As time passes, there are times that I'm winning but my profits will be gone for a few days because I will use it again if I lose my capital until all of my funds are gone then one day I realized that I spent too much money on gambling already and that is the time that I decided to stop gambling.

I didn't felt any regret when I stopped gambling because it really didn't give me any benefits but losses instead. These threads urged me to become a gambler and at the same time, helped me to stop gambling.
6529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: March 19, 2020, 06:39:41 AM
I assume that gambling and daily trading are different things. Because in gambling can sometimes spend money faster, different from daily trading for example. Because we can control the trade and in that case can also benefit. I play gambling, mostly losing compared to winning.
Gambling and trading are different in their own ways but both of them involves money and you can lose your money there although in an instant or slowly Cheesy.

In trading if the coin you bought goes lower than your buying price, there is still a chance that you can get profit by either averaging down, cut loss and find another coin which you know will rise in a few days or just wait for it to go up again which will took some time though. In gambling, if you lose your money there then its over and the only way to get your money again is to invest more money. Money cycle on gambling is faster since many gamblers are losing there way faster than in trading.

If you are losing in gambling like you said, maybe you should realize that you must stop now unless you are happy even you are losing Cheesy.
6530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For those who wears a signature of gamble service campaigns on: March 19, 2020, 06:29:06 AM
My question is: Do you spend the money you gain with the service you are working for?
I would love too but I'm not a gambler although I tried to gamble with their gambling site many times already using my weekly gainzzzz. Cheesy.

Sometimes I do some gamble, and I always prefer to spend the money on the website that are paying me, I think it's fair and a way to say thanks  Grin
Advertising them here in the forum is a privilege and knowing that they are running their signature campaign for a long time already, I'm lucky that they've given me the opportunity to advertise their site here Smiley. I like to keep some of the funds in the site but I have some priorities and expenses in life where I use my weekly BTC to buy it. I'm just happy that I have accepted and because that, thanks to them Smiley.

6532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: COVID-19: Avoid casino, play online on: March 18, 2020, 01:09:05 PM
I think as of now all land based casinos are closed anyway. Maybe some illegal ones are working, but it's suicide going there. Or, if you are young and living with elderly people in one apartment, visiting crowded places can be compared to involuntary homicide, to put it mildly.
If you really care about your health then you shouldn't go to casinos at all. Even they are running illegally, the fact that they are at risk when it goes to the casino will push them not to go.

Considering he death rate for older people
~

The older people have more risk with this virus compare to younger people because their immune system is weaker. I assume that most of the gamblers are around 50 years above so they are the ones at risk at this moment since their mortality rate is higher than 1%.

I still remember but don't remember the site. I read that Italy are choosing which is the one to help right now because of lack of medical equipment. If the time comes that they will decide between an old person and younger, they would choose to recover the younger one for some reasons. This is quite sad but they don't have a choice since they are lacking equipment Sad Sad.

6533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 60% Wiped Out - Will Bitcoin Have a Hard Time Finding Investors After This? on: March 18, 2020, 12:58:50 PM
Why should Bitcoin find Investors after what happened to it?? There is no reason for it to happen.

If you are a good investor, you must know that you should have kept some funds for times like this. Times like this where Bitcoin goes down very hard so that you have to use for accumulating more Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a lot cheaper right now than it is weeks ago so if you are a good investor, you must position yourself and buy Bitcoin Smiley. We saw already this cycle. Bitcoin goes up then goes down but will rise slowly. This unexpected drop of Bitcoin happened because of the massive paranoia that the virus created and the leverage exchanges which the longs got liquidated causing the price of Bitcoin to go down very hard.

Buy Bitcoin right now it is cheaper or you will regret it for the rest of your life Cheesy. Kidding
6534  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Coronavirus affects Bitcoin and when it will end on: March 18, 2020, 12:40:32 PM
It is safe to say now that coronavirus was behind the markets crash, stock, oil as well as Bitcoin.
Its obvious that yes it affected ALL of the markets on the world but on Bitcoin, it has a less effect on it. What really makes the price of Bitcoin to go down is the leverage exchanges which the longs on the exchanges got liquidated making the price to go down. There are some videos on youtube saying this and there are some proofs on it.

So how does this affect the markets?
No need to say since we saw how it affected all of the markets already.

Well, with the current trend that is happening right now maybe it will truly happen. Many countries are helping each other already to prevent this virus to spread from researching for a cure for this shitty virus to sending protective equipment for our frontliners (nurses, doctors and all of the health staff).

Be patient until June and then buy.
If this really happens then the "history repeats itself" of Bitcoin will be destroyed because we saw in its past 2 halvings that it went up as the halving goes near but now it is the opposite that is happening because of this stupid virus.
6535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: March 18, 2020, 12:16:17 PM
Are there people in this Bitcointalk forum who still go to traditional casinos instead of playing  through the vast number of online casinos that are available now?
It would be interesting to know.
Although there are people here who knows online gambling sites, there are still some users here in the forum who prefer gambling on casinos than gambling on sites for some reasons like they want the ambiance of the casino they play or their friends are also gamblers in casinos and he chooses to gamble in casino rather than gambling on gambling sites and so on.

- Smoking marijuana, Getting drunk or under the influence of drugs
You certainly will not be aware of what decisions you make if you are drunk, if you are drunk while gambling, it is certain that your money will be lost...
Common sense is applied here Cheesy. We know what can really happen if we are being influenced by drugs or even liquors right Cheesy.

- Carrying firearms or sharp weapons
come on man, do you want to kill someone, or do you want to frighten the bookie...
Another common sense unless you are a serial killer or you think that somebody is planning to kill you inside or outside the casino then you can get some weapons for special defense Smiley

- last, Playing at one table with Corona patients fleeing Quarantine
You should not do this, mate. this is of no use, even if you win, you will only bring the coronavirus and spread it to people around even your family...  Cheesy
Grin Grin Quite funny TBH. Casinos are closed temporarily already because of the virus so this will not happen Cheesy.

*don't take this too seriously  Grin
Didn't took seriously because most of them are common sense already Cheesy.
6536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: March 18, 2020, 11:57:07 AM
Oh my! How could that happen?
The best answer for this I think is that maybe he interacted with someone who has the virus already but he doesn't know it. All of the states in US have cases already so.. probably that is how he got it

He is in healing process so how could he interact with his team mates?
Whenever there is a game, he is always there so there is an interaction that is happening and that maybe is how he got the virus.

Are they still seeing each other after every game?
Maybe yes, maybe no. I don't know personally but going outside is normal already for them. After every game, they will travel and they will interact with each other and probably that is how he got it.

After the tests that 4 of the players of Brooklyn Nets including Durant are positive, they will be testing Los Angeles Lakers roster because they are the last team who they faced. I hope that this virus will be controlled and cured in no time so that we can all watch NBA games again Smiley.
6537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: March 18, 2020, 11:47:37 AM
Many casinos are temporarily closed right now because of what is happening right now. The only way gamblers can gamble is thru online but I afraid that some of the gamblers doesn't know how to deposit funds in the site and they might question if the site where they can gamble is legit or not.

Many things will come up into the mind of a gambler who doesn't have any experience in online gambling so maybe they will be forced to stop gambling and that can lead to recovery of gambling addiction. Still there are some gamblers who are gambling online and we can't blame them as long as they have limits on it.

Maybe this time is the right time for the addicted gamblers to come out of addiction but it is a hard and difficult process.
6538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis? on: March 18, 2020, 11:35:46 AM
Guys, in moments such this we are living, with a crisis just ahead of all of us, do you stop gambling?

I would admit that I still gamble but with limits unlike before. Since we are facing some crisis recently i play safe and roll just small profits. We have to be careful with our rolling now. I still find time to gamble, it's fine as long as you are earning even small. This crisis makes everything become hard especially to those who got affected from work, businesses, etc. I hope this will come to an end so we can basically back to our regular daily lives.
There is nothing bad if you are gambling in times of crisis but having no limits in gambling while facing events like this then you already have a problem with your self and your mind.

Its good that you have limits while gambling. It is a proof that you can control yourself unlike other gamblers out there who are still gambling even though they are facing a crisis like this. This shitty virus will come to an end soon. It is controllable and many scientists are claiming that they have a cure for it already although it needs many tests before it will be use by the public. Gambling isn't bad as long as you can control yourself and you know when to stop if needed.
6539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alvarez vs. Golovkin: The Trilogy we've all been waiting for! on: March 18, 2020, 11:28:32 AM
While it certainly frustrates me that this long-awaited match will take place just when GGG is not in his prime anymore, I still believe both of them deserves this. Not just them but the boxing fans as well. The past couple of matches were both classics in the history of boxing. Just as they were excellent boxing shows, both were also controversial, perhaps more controversial than any other recent boxing controversies.
Not because Golovkin is 37 years right now doesn't mean that he can't fight anymore. I think that he can still fight younger boxers like what Pacquiao did. Many doubted him that he isn't at his prime anymore at age 40 but we saw how he defeated Thurman and Mathysse.

Anyway, their last fight is a classic fight like you said but for me Alvarez deserves that victory and they are deserving to have a 3rd fight TBH.

Quote
Golden Boy Promotions, Alvarez's promoter, are hoping to stage the bout Sept. 12 during Mexican Independence Day weekend inside AT&T Stadium outside of Dallas, although the date, site and weight class have not been finalized at this time.

Do you guys think this third match will be as exciting and explosive as the past couple of fights? And the betting odds would probably be in huge favor of Canelo?
I think that it will although they didn't fight for a long time already especially GGG whose last fight is June of 2019. If this will happen for sure many bettors will favor Canelo since he won on their last fight and he is younger (8 years gap) and I hope that at the time it will happen, the virus has disappeared already or at least controlled.
