6521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: January 26, 2018, 03:00:33 AM
In the next few years this will not happen, maybe the etherium and rise in price but not so much to achieve the value of bitcoin, everything will be decided in the long term so we will wait and watch all this
The topic is quite interesting. I hope so ETH can reach value of BTC. Because I like to trading with ETH, it's pretty easy and simple. But that is just a dream, the value of ETH can't ever reach BTC.   Sad

Everything is possible and come to think off that bitcoin did able to experience those struggles when it was just new and come to think off that ETH is only few years old which it do have still a big area on being developed and being adopted even more. We cant able to predict possible price ranges but seeing on its track we would able to see that possibility on hitting those price ranges same as bitcoin is possible. No one knows on when but its possible.
6522  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How to declare a donation of tokens ? on: January 24, 2018, 05:20:03 PM
Someone gave me a good amount of tokens because i gave him good advices but how will I declare this to my country the day i cash out ? Will they try to be interested in where this money comes from exactly ? Or will they just accept that someone send tokens to me just like that ?

The laws about bitcoin taxes are blurry, but the law about tokens are even more blurry
If you do receive hundreds of thousands on the current value of bitcoin then cashing it out would be troublesome if banks on your country is strict when it comes to money laundering or some laws related to it but if those amounts of bitcoin being given on just small amounts then you should not really bother because it is just only few that theres nothing to worry if you cash em out.
6523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap on: January 24, 2018, 04:14:56 PM
Hi there what happen all altcoins and bitcoin is dumping but why? Im panic about that and the coinmarketcap still dumping this is the end of cryptocurrency? Anyone knows about this? A litle worried about what happening now. Sad
Dont drink too much coffee brother because it will really give you nervous. (Just joking). If i were you dont easily panic on these kind of situation which it is a common thing to happen here on crypto. If you do try to look on the total marketcap all over the years since from the beginning you would able to say that it did grow soo much after all these years. Decline on prices are normal so theres nothing to be worried of.
6524  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New website for website lists ICO and cryptocurrency project on: January 24, 2018, 03:22:33 PM
You're website isn't really finished, right?
There's no content when you click on a coin like Bitcoin for example.

Also, why do you list coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin etc. as ICO's? You don't even seem to list any actual ICO's, what's up with that?
No doubt it isnt finished yet and listing or categorizing arent right at all why Bitcoin and other top altcoins are being considered to be ICO's? It is really misleading specially if newbies would able to read it out. Better to fixed these things because it do give misinformation. Posted coins with prices and recent changes arent ICO but those are top coins in the market. It shouldnt be labelled as ICO. One project i do see was right to be considered  which is only Obizcoin.
6525  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Small Island Nations - should they have their own Crypto currencies? on: January 24, 2018, 01:37:08 PM
Should small island economies like Jamaica,
Malta, Seychelles, Cook Islands etc develop their own Crypto currencies?

What is the way for these small economies
to be part of Blockchain world ; and use to improve their trade
and economics with rest of the world?
It would be a good transition but this decision would be entirely depending on the government views related to blockchain technology or do create their own cryptocurrency since they do have a small vicinity this would be a good idea. Im not seeing any countries or places did such thing but sooner or later we would able to witness that thing because decisions would really be made.If they would go with such innovation or would stick into traditional ways.
6526  Economy / Economics / Re: [BREAKING NEWS] BTC WILL COLLAPSE!!!!! on: January 22, 2018, 10:20:58 PM
I've found out that it basically is being printed for the sole purpose of purchasing btc with this
newly printed "money" thus popping up the price of not only btc but all cryptos.

Marketcap:

June 1 2017 - Jan 7 2018 Tether started being printed in massive amounts - from 87 billion to 830 billion an increase of approx: 860%

Interesting post, OP.

I'm skeptical of your claims for 1 reason(think about what you're saying):

Quote
June 1 2017 - Jan 7 2018 Tether started being printed in massive amounts - from 87 billion to 830 billion an increase of approx: 860%

If tethers market cap is "830 billion" that's more than the total market cap of crypto currencies combined($498 billion):

This site lists tether's market cap @ $1.6 billion:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tether/
This is why i called a bullsh*t thing which i have seen those numbers posted above. Talking about marketcap of tether it didnt even reach out those numbers. The question is where the hell did you get those numbers? Checking marketcap only $1.6 B is the peak on where tether did able to reach out. This is just a fud and the funny thing that few days earlier on his post it seems  he do love bitcoin same on thing being posted above by fellow member too.  Wink
6527  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token price fall after ICO on: January 22, 2018, 09:24:39 PM
Have there been any tokens where the trading price on exchanges at the very start fell considerably below the ICO price and has not recovered?

there is many coins that the price after listed in the exchange and the price is down
example SONM the ico price around 5k satoshi or more but now at 1.7k satoshi

Maybe the best decision is to buy after ICO!

If everyone buys after ICO, where will investors come from?
ICO will be successful because of the investors.
Calm down even though trading on the stock at the very beginning fell below the price of ICO, after which will definitely recover.
Like Monaco, etc. So have to be patient of course

Most of them will recover. It's normal to see the price goes down after ICO as lot of people invest just for the profit and want to sell after ICO and don't invest because of the project which is a shame...
Not all the time that they would able to recover since not all coins do have the potential or worth to be pumped out again. Most of them after being launched on exchanges they do dump down hard and wont ever tend to comeback its price. Its possible to rise up but not all the times. Investing on ICO and make profit taking afterwards is common this is why token price do dump always. Only the good coins would able have the chance to be pump up again.
6528  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: January 22, 2018, 08:19:46 PM
I don't agree that every investment is a gambling because gambling give us entertainment but investments are made to earn money over the time. Yes, all investments will come with some risks of losing money but it is not same as gambling. In gambling either you lose instantly your bet and double your money but in investments, you don't lose instantly all your funds and you still get a chance to book your losses if your investment is not doing good.

Gambling is typically defined as something along the lines of risking money or material goods for an uncertain chance at winning further money or material goods. Investments in cryptos or stocks certainly fall under this definition. Even a positive expectation bet can be gambling.
If you are jumping into investments either on crypto or on stocks without any knowledge then it can really be considered pure gambling but if you do somehow knowledgeable on the things you are doing then its not entirely be called as a gamble since you do have your own basis or know the way on lessening the risk.Everything has its own risk when talking about investment and as an individual who do seek out for more profits then we would really face those risk to achieve those goals.
6529  Economy / Economics / Re: Is market cap really something that matters in a coins value? Because... on: January 19, 2018, 08:25:22 PM
This question is asked before and i don`t know why people continue to ask about marker caps.
The market cap doesn`t matter to me.The current price of a coin is the only thing that matters.
Let`s say that i create a brand new altcoin with 1M coins limited supply.I will list that coin in some crypto exchange platforms and buy a few coins for 1$ per coin, using multiple accounts that i`ve created in those exchange platforms. This would mean that i will pump my altcoin`s market cap to 1M USD,using only a few hundred,or maybe thousand dollars to invest. Grin
This is the reason why I don't really bother to see on its marketcap and same on the thing you do illustrate here we can really able to make such thing on pumping market cap of a certain coin. Basing with it all the time is pointless. The main important thing for me is on its current price and take a look also on its circulating/total supply but not generally. The thing here is that demand would really always make the decision.
6530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: January 18, 2018, 09:11:27 PM
Lol, I would surely stop playing, better to exit the casino with some money than nothing... Especially if you will need it to pay your fuel or transportation. It hits the main gambling's rule: Bet only what you can afford to lose.

In this case, if you lose you will just need to go home on foot or by hitchhiking. And if you are married, your wife will probably complain a lot when you arrive home.  Cheesy
What if his home is on many miles away? He would end up on walking for how many hours and which is really deserving for you to face such consequence because you dont set out limits on playing gambling where even your fare or for gasoline been used out on playing this is why we should always set limits and do spend on the amount that you can afford to lose.
6531  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the trading bots worth the price? on: January 18, 2018, 08:22:32 PM
I've bought a license to Haasbot a couple of years ago and I was pretty happy with it, their licenses aren't that expensive @ 0.035 BTC for a beginners one.
I think I'd made a total of 0.05 BTC profit in the end, but I felt that it would have been more useful for me if I had more technical knowledge of how the algo's worked.

Check it out for yourself here:
https://www.haasonline.com/pricing/

May i ask if you are still using the bot now? I'm thinking that if these bots are actually profitable the why isn't everyone using it yet? And if everyone started using bots like these wouldn't it mean that it would no longer be profitable because the trading pattern would already be so obvious to non bot users?

Personally i'm skeptical that a simple bot without any form of AI can earn 0.1 in BTC, especially with how volatile the market is. One bad trade and you could already lose a lot even without bots.
I am thinking to purchase too, but I cannot purchase since it really costly a lot, and I don't have yet enough fund for it, I hope that I can purchase it soon, so I can start and can change my life just like others. I have some friend here in our country who bought bot the time the price of bitcoin was still low and now they are benefiting a lot.

Dont forget you still need some money to trade with and you might loose it all under certain circumstances like bear market or maybe some wrong configurations from your side.
Bots would really still need to be set-upped according on the users knowledge which it would really entirely dependent on the configuration that you would made. This is why thinking off that using bots are profitable then i dont think so. I agree that some of them do have high prices for rich people then those amounts wont be nothing but for us casual traders which do have average money on pockets will surely hesitate.
6532  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shops/stores will lose money when Bitcoin price falls on: January 18, 2018, 06:57:44 PM
Bitcoin is at $10,000 and shops/stores gets $50,000 payments in Bitcoin and after that if Bitcoin price falls to $5,000.

Shops/stores will lose $25,000. Will people take Bitcoin payments for goods and services HuhRoll Eyes
This would be on case to case basis if a certain merchant would decide to keep those bitcoins to be reserved on their own wallet or would rather decide once been recieve they would convert it to fiat. If they would decide to store bitcoin then they will really got affected on price volatility this is one of the reason why merchants would really hesitate to accept bitcoin because of unstable price movements but somehow anytime they can able to get rid of it by direct conversion.
6533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Bitconnect Closes Virtually Its Entire Operation, BCC Token Drops 87% on: January 17, 2018, 08:32:39 PM

Bitconnect has formally closed its lending platform and cryptocurrency exchange following warnings from Texas and North Carolina regulators. The Bitconnect Coin (BCC) digital currency is down 87% today and 93% from its December 29 high of $437.At press time,BCC is trading for just $30.

                                                                           Ponzi-like
Many in the digital currency community have called Bitconnect a Ponzi scheme, including Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, according to TechCrunch. Such accusations were based on the multi-level referral system and the promise of up to 40% earned interest, plus a daily bonus of up to 0.25% per day,on each loan. The promise of risk-free high returns is often typical of a scam-if it sounds too good to be true,it probably is.

Bitconnect Coin’s website describes the currency as:

The moment you acquire BitConnect Coin it becomes an interest-bearing asset with 120% return per year. It is that simple.

Unfortunately for investors, that“interest-bearing asset”is now nearly worthless

Not worth crying over spilled milk. Months of respected members have said Bitconnect is a big scam. The greedy people did not believe it and I do not regret it.
For those people who did invest big then they do really deserve such loss. Just like being said most people on community said that this is indeed a scam with just seeing on its structure its an obvious Ponzi thing but still people are too greedy and didn't really took those advices seriously and now most of them are crying out into their loses which this thing is already being anticipated to happen sooner or later on this coin which is already we do see as of now. This would really be a lesson learn for them.
6534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advice: When should I cash out? on: January 17, 2018, 07:46:26 PM
I have been investing in a bunch of different coins for a while now, mainly BTC, ETH, LTC, and some other lesser-known coins. I have a lot of different coins in my portfolio to stabilize/reduce risk.

I love the gains that these coins provide. I never panic-sell, and always hodl and buy low. That has been my simple strategy.

However, I have a problem - how do I train myself to know when to cash out?

For instance, last night the BTC price was high (18K), and ETH/LTC price were low.

I could have cashed out then, and invested in ETH/LTC, which are seeing a nice pump now.

How do you know when to cash out??

Right now the only time I cash out is when I need to money to buy a gift or something.
the choice of making cashouts is too subjective.
Continue to hold and make small cashouts just for necessity.
Instead you can withdraw everything when you are satisfied with the value achieved or if you think that the value can not go up.

There are some subjective factors, that is correct but at the same time there are some absolute factors as well, all coins are losing a huge amount of money right now and bitcoin is very far away from its all time high so cashing out right now is a huge mistake, the best thing you can do now is to hold and do not sell your coins for a bad price or you may regret that decision later in your life.
You would surely regret on those times specially when you do saw that your coin that have been sold did able to reach out 10-100x on its price. You will surely kick that damn wall on frustrations on possible profits that you would made or even you do missed the opportunity on getting rich. This is my situation when I'm still a newbie holding off some coins but I'm not really patient for long term holds but theres no need to regret since past is past and its done already. If you do seen the possibilities or potential of a coin better to hold it off no matter what.
6535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best coin to mine on smartphone on: January 16, 2018, 11:04:00 PM
I have been thinking of mining with my phone for some times now,  I have gone through various online resources on how to mine with smartphone but the result were not satisfactory considering how hard it is to mine this days.  Please which coin can I easily mine with my phone.
Don't bother to think about it because you would just waste up your mobile phone if you do plan to use it for mining and besides I don't even know that theres still a coin which is mineable by the use of phone considering that hashes would be given would be entirely small which I didn't think off that capable on mining stuffs and as being said by most people here you are just adding up expenses on buying a new battery of your smartphone.
6536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your keys vs money on exchanges on: January 16, 2018, 09:55:51 PM
Your not supposed to have funds, coins, or tokens on an exchange for longer than you need to trade them. Of course if you are looking to pick up an asset and you need to put some bids in then you are gonna need some funds on the website before hand. In this case it is okay to have funds on but again you generally don't want it there for a month but rather one week or so tops.
Idling it for a week is already long for me. Keeping them on exchanges isn't really a wise thing regarding on previous exchange hacks I'm done already on this matter.Losing precious coins isn't easy at all.You do accumulate them on all of your hard work and funds but in an instant they are all gone once sites being hacked. This is why safety measures would always be advised.
6537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few thoughts on my first week trading crypto currencies on: January 16, 2018, 08:56:11 PM
I will also add that from a purely technical standpoint...in reading these charts...a lot of these coins (especially the bigger ones) seem to behave, for the most part, as a technical trader would expect.  bouncing off MA's , support/resistance levels, stochastics, etc etc.  All other variables aside...that is good to see.

For example..the daily chart of BTC doesnt look very good at all.  2 cycles of lower highs and bouncing off 12.5k support level (on binance) several times (descending wedge)...now its broken under that support on high volume....    and the 2 failed breakout attempts of ETH over last week if looking at 6hr chart.... now 20% lower ....

again, just from a technical standpoint...these things to seem to behave in a somewhat predictable fashion
Regarding on using Technical tools on crypto trading I can say that sometime they do might work specially on making some support and resistance level which as a trader on this field would really be helpful for you because you can assume that price would really go into that way but not anytime to give you assurance because this cryptocurrency market do involve with emotions on some time which either those walls that we predicted that to hard to breakout sometimes its being eaten up easily once emotions would really be on the involvement.
6538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I always lose all my tokens and btc on gambling~ on: January 12, 2018, 05:46:33 PM
The biggest problem is that gambling is addictive and people never have the power to stop. They never have the power to put stop loss or to wait for more profitable situation to gamble. when the situation is not profitable for you you should never take the chance!

No one knows whether the current situation is profitable or not unless you play a game and find out. That's why it is always good to gamble only with the money which can afford to lose and never use more than that amount in gambling. In this way, you can avoid losing more money in gambling and you no need think much when to stop your gambling.
We always have a chance to stop, but don't want to do it because of various reasons. One of them are due your brain has been infected by the gambling habit virus. There's no way out except you have another similar habit that really addictive and it wasn't easy job. Just make sure you didn't gamble exaggeratedly.
Everyone has enough common sense to know when to stop because it is a general thing that if you are facing losses in something, it’s better to leave that thing before you go with financial crisis. But the greed for more blocks their ability of thinking that’s why they keep on trying and playing gambling even when they know that they are already in loss and they will not be able to face further losses in future.
This is where most gamblers do failed up to follow which they do let their greed control them or overcome their decisions regarding on their limitations. We do have common sense and self awareness but we just neglect it and sometimes we do go YOLO bets hoping for you to chase up or break even on what you have lost. If you are lucky then you might able to get what you aim but if not then you would start to regret.
6539  Economy / Economics / Re: implication of south Korean crackdown on cryptocurrencies on: January 12, 2018, 04:56:11 PM
South Korean authorities are currently clamping down on cryptocurrencies  and are proposing a legislation to possibly ban cryptocurrency because they have linked it to gambling and other illegal behaviours among their population. This has caused some uproar in the market. However, the lives of many young Koreans depends on cryptocurrencies as unemployment rate remains high in the country. What do you think will play out if the government of South korea finally succeeds in shutting down the crypto space?
Its all FUD. Keep reading on this link https://coinjournal.net/south-korean-police-not-raid-cryptocurrency-exchanges-fud-triggers-market/ .They might consider some additional steps but not totally talking on banning it completely. Leaders have spoken that they wont really do such or no actions has been made. Lets just assume that they did really make that thing then it will surely give some impact on bitcoin world but not totally the cause for it to crash so hard.
6540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie bounty manager on: January 12, 2018, 04:18:33 PM
I've seen a campaign with a newbie bounty manager is that really necessary? Do you think this campaign is not a scam?
Thank you for your answers.
This is the first thing I look into when joining a campaign I prefer. I don't join if the rank of the manager is below sr. Member. Ranks sets credibilty which is a big factor in promoting ICO projects

But a project may prefer to manage the bounty campaign with a separate account, so in that case it may be possible that the account is a newbie account.
Its possible but would really hard to determine since they don't really make such announcement or claims that they are using new accounts. I have seen some newbie managers do really have the skills and experienced on handling campaigns which doesn't really always signifies that if a manager is newbie then its a scam. Not at all, it would be just entirely depending on the project,if you do see anything suspicious then you should really be ready or wary on the actions that you would made.
