6521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem: Lost today $2000 on PrimeDice on: December 29, 2018, 03:27:43 AM
All started when i deposit $300 today and start with small best $50 $60 etc
I always play for %50-60% chance. i had nice luck and turned it into $500 .thenI was thinking I'm  unbeatable and bet %70 chance on $500
and made around $840

Then i was planning to do the last bet and bet and I bet %70 on my $840 balance and lost everything. :/

After i was in real down but i was still positive cause i had $1200 on my Bitcoin wallet.

I wanted to make big profit and get back all the lost and never play again.

and did it %50 chance on $1200 balance and lost everything :/

what a shitty die i want to die :/

Hey I'm feeling sorry for your loss, but I feel it's your greed to be blamed you were way ahead an you should have quit. This is a common mistake we gamblers make after loosing, we put in more funds to recover but we end up loosing that too. I know this is hard for you, but don't give up now, give yourself some time and figure everything out and remember only gamble what you can afford to loose never more than that.

Kevin Anderson takes a win from a set down.  Smiley Here is a final result https://www.livescore.in/match/UixNtxyR/?externalProjectId=20050#match-summary

So far so good. I am thinking of using facebook or telegram instead of platform. I need stimulation for sure.

Kevin has definitely caused a big upset here, and your analysis of him being the winner were spot on honestly I had not considered him to win. I really liked the fact that he went a set down, and rallied back to win against Nadal who looked rusty and will take quiet a while to regain his form back. I feel Kevin has a bright future as he's taken down top ranking players with ease, it'll be interesting to see if he can repeat this performance in bigger tournaments.
6523  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: December 28, 2018, 10:53:28 AM
Crypto currency seems to cold down these days and many people have lost faith in the past few months...

People find most token are fake indeed, what they have was just a whitepaper.

I think most of them will die in the next year.

But what about Bitcoin?

As the first and the most influential one, Bitcoin is still weak with numerous restrictions.

Maybe it will fall into the ground due to the political factors, or beaten by other token which is better.

 Huh

I didn't know Cryptos and weather could be compared, and who are these many people did they even own coins before or are you relying on the mainstream media headlines. The tokens you refer are Ico's which are not good, and people need to do their own due diligence rather blame the market. I don't understand what you mean by it'll fall, bitcoins has seen days like these before it's slowly and steadily growing and it'll stay strong in 2019 too.
6524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning 200 bitcoins stolen from electrum users via malicious update on: December 28, 2018, 07:43:00 AM
I think that strongly agree with your opinion that "we are all targets of hackers" just how we should be more careful not to be affected.
But clearly the information you provide will add to our knowledge more carefully, thank you

I always believed Electrum wallet to be safe and easy to operate, and I'm surprised that hackers were able to target it. I believe a majority of these users who were targeted use the wallet on their computers/laptops, and thus became easy targets. I have been using electrum wallet app, and I did not see it asking for any update, also this is a very big lesson for all never to self update the wallet, always use the original website.
6525  Other / Archival / Re: READ THIS NOW!! NO ESCROW MEANS STAY AWAY ON THIS SITE! BUYER BEWARE! on: December 28, 2018, 03:34:26 AM
The only way you are assured a proper deal is to use escrow.... anyone selling equipment without escrow available is more than likely a scam.  If it is a self moderated topic as well.... another HUGE red flag.  All buyers beware of sellers that state NO ESCROW in the OP or do not accept it at any point.

Indeed any seller refusing to accept escrow should be avoided, I have avoided many sellers who were not keen on using escrow. Then one thing you should remember choose a trustworthy escrow, I recommend Ognasty though there're others too you could consider. This is often ignored by all check if the account password has been recently reset, that would mean someone else has brought it then insist on a signed messsge. Lastly go to sellers profile then click on trust and show ratings see if he has any red before making any deal.

Our leader has increased the gap some more. Spots 5-10 seems really close to each other Cheesy

I'll agree Smarterpants822 is firing on all cylinders, but we all saw what happened last time the leader on top stopped and in the end he was dethroned it was surreal. I believe none of the spots are fixed, as we move towards the end I feel many spots will change, and this is what makes this kind of competitions so exciting.

We just announced a Youtube Video Contest!

Check out https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5090160

Another exciting contest from Bitdice, I'll try making one video for Bitdice not an expert but will try my best to participate.
6527  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Do You Expect From The Market in 2019? on: December 27, 2018, 02:04:16 PM
Just like everybody in this forum i have high expectation from bitcoin on 2019 but i don't dare to hoping too much because the predictions could go wrong but whatever the situations on that year i will stick for crypto and don't have any plan to quit from it even though if the situations will more worst than now

I'm optimistic that 2019 will bring relief to all those who decided to hodl their coins, while it's to early to pick a target I'm hoping it goes beyond 10k again. It's pertinent to note that bitcoins prices shall depend heavily on the successful launches of Bakkt, Nasdaq Bitcoins Futures, currently only Nasdaq has confirmation it'll go ahead with the launch. Also another factor I feel can effect prices is the adoption by masses, I do hope people adopt the technology going ahead in 2019. Overall I'm expecting volatility and some upward swings in bitcoins prices in 2019.
6528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 mens Australian Open (tennis) betting odds on: December 27, 2018, 11:09:19 AM
I think as Djokovic lost to Zverev in straight sets in Nitto ATP Finals, I think he could really be a contender. Maybe he has really focused on what he lacked during that match and knowing that he was anxious with that. We all know that he is the top player in a way, defeating Federer in Cincinnati.

I think Djokovic is still the one going to be victorious. That's still going to be my bet.

I wasn't aware of Nadal jam packed schedule I'm bit surprised especially after the injuries he had, I thought he would be selective where he'll play. I believe Zverev has the potential to cause upsets he's shown that by beating Federer and Djokovic. I believe for him to be successful from now on he requires consistency, there's potential no doubt but without consistency he won't be able to win further tournaments.
6529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 27, 2018, 07:13:16 AM
Solskjaer wants to get Joshua King (Man U academy graduate, currently play at Bournemouth) back to Man United.  It would be nice to see them form an attacking squad comprised of United academy graduates.

I think the plan here is to offload Sanchez to PSG in January window and Lukaku to Juventus in the summer window, the amount of funds in transfer and salary can be reinvested in the club. I believe he'll be allowed to buy cause his two matches have shown he has the correct caliber to select players. Then again Joshua is from his home country and he's performing good, I'll not be surprised if he signs him but Manchester United needs defenders like Toby or Ramos.

So January's coming up and it is really strange for a Liverpool guy to say this but I won't be too alarmed if we don't move for anyone in this window. Missing injured guys but they should be back for contention, and we have the Ox rumoured to be back earlier than anticipated (ruled out this whole season supposedly).

Still holding out hope for Fekir and Pulisic but they're not about to be pried away for cheap!

I feel you're seeing it from a wrong perspective see from the Pools owner eyes, this is the only realistic chance they'll have of securing a title, city has lost two matches in a row they'll heavily invest to win the cup.

‘CWC 2019 once-in-a-generation opportunity’ – Tom Harrison

https://www.icc-cricket.com/news/949923

The way he speaks in this article it feels like he already believes team England will win the cup, though England is my first choice i will carefully study any injuries their players may have. I also feel other teams are not in great form going into this World Cup, and will be exhausted as many will be playing in IPL prior to the World Cup. Indian team that is the strongest in the world currently will pose a strict challenge to England, it'll be interesting to see how they perform in England.

Updated leaderboard:

We have some competition!

Hey that's some serious competition going on, and it's just been few days since this competition started, it looks like it'll break last competition records for sure. I would advise all to remember you can reach any position you want, as we'll who witnessed last competition saw the top position being dethroned during the end. Also I'm expecting the competition to heat up further, and I'm sure towards the end we'll see plenty of new names good luck to all.
6532  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we headed for a recession? on: December 26, 2018, 03:29:29 AM
Dow Jones is down to $21K from all-time high $26K.

Experts predicted the market crash in 2015. when the stock market was down by 11%. The recession did not happen.
Experts predicted the market crash in 2016. when the stock market was down by 10%. The recession did not happen.

Today the market is down -18% and there does not seem to be any signs of slowing down.

Recently the US FED raised the interest rates from 2% to 2.5% within just 4 months.

Crypto market seems like it is not strictly following the trend of the stock market.
Christmass time has given a crypto market a new hope by going from $100B to $146B market capitalization with Bitcoin going from $3.2K to $4.2K within days.

Are we heading in for another recession or Quantitive Easing 4?

What role will the cryptocurrency market play in all of this?

Hey I don't think recession is coming, it's a bear phase and all assets have been effected by it. I believe the fed chief erred in the recent rate hike, and I felt it has done considerable damage I hope they do not raise it again for a while. Also another reason is USA government is on a partial shutdown, and there's no solution in sight as the President wants a wall and he's not getting one. As far the cryptos are concerned they never mirror the stock market, they're in a different league so can't predict how crypto market will go ahead.
6533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have to invest in bitcoin or ethereum. on: December 25, 2018, 06:00:56 PM
Bitcoin from highs fell 6 times, and Etherium 17 times. I would choose Bitcoin, nobody can replace it yet.

Hey that's a wise choice while I agree bitcoins is currently in a free fall stage, but remember bitcoins prices tend to bounce back quickly, Ethereum prices doesn't. I also believe there's a greater demand for bitcoins, then Ethereum and remember in cryptos if demand exceeds supply then prices rises. Also Ethereum doesn't come close to beating Bitcoins global popularity, hence I always suggest people to buy bitcoins in dips.
6534  Economy / Economics / Re: The market is looking healthy and greener all over again on: December 25, 2018, 01:54:31 PM
At present the market is not stable, the price of coins in the market is still not as before, I have not dared to invest, the possibility of the market will improve in 2020, in 2019 the price of coins in the market is still like this

Hey cryptos market are never stable for long periods of time, their volatility is what makes them unique. I feel it's too early to take a call on whether 2019 will be a good or bad year for crypto prices, as it'll depend on the upcoming events of quarter one of 2019. While it was expected that Bakkt would be approved by 24th January 2019 it's been delayed again, and even bitcoins futures are in doubt hence once again it's difficult to give a definite answer about 2019 and ahead.

6535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 mens Australian Open (tennis) betting odds on: December 25, 2018, 11:31:40 AM
Djokovic 2.30
Federer 8.00
Nadal 8.20
Zverev 9.50

Tempted to place a bet on Zverev, nice odds, I believe Federer is done physically, same for Nadal (will too rusty at least), while the favorite is Djokovic I think it's time for Zverev to step up and go far, maybe capitalize on an early crash for Nadal or Federer.

Zverev won the ATP finals while he was at odds 20 before the tournament, it's time to back him to win a slam.

Any constructive opinion welcome.

I would consider Zverve a risky but worth taking bet, if you believe he can cause an upset. In my personal opinion Nadal would be coming after a long injury break and he'll be at his best to keep his number one status intact. I'll agree with you on federer I don't expect much from him, he's way past his peak. I would however not consider Djokovic out of the equation, as he will do all to become number one again. I would advise you to check their injury status before you place a bet.
6536  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let me tell you some Drama. on: December 25, 2018, 07:27:23 AM
At 20K it went.

Down back to 17K and people said Bull Market Not Over.

At 3K it went

Back up to 4K

What people say now ? Smiley

Smiley Smiley Smiley

Hey the circumstances were different when it touched 20k, and prices went down due to heavy selling which is normally expected, what one didn't anticipate prices would crash suddenly so much. Another reason of bitcoins crashing was the influx of non stop fud, and false misleading headlines in the media. In the present day bitcoins prices are rallying upwards cause people are buying it, however no one has termed it as a rally yet it's need to sustain itself before we can term it as a rally.
6537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lessons from crypto in 2018 on: December 24, 2018, 06:10:54 PM
Don't be greedy, don't fall in the hype, research yourself as much as you can, don't fear to start trading with risk, don't hold your assets for a long long time. These things I learnt in this year. And the good thing is, I feel well experienced now more than any time!

The lesson I believe we all took from this year was to ignore fud, and not get ourselves influenced by the mainstream media. Another big lesson I felt was to learn to ignore the investment gurus, as these guys have no fundamentals when they give out their calls. It's pertinent to note that along with people's faith may faith too in the lesson of holding has grown, and I strongly believe one should hodl and buy on dips.
6538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US or China: Who do you think will legalize bitcoin first? on: December 24, 2018, 01:55:40 PM
I dont think both countries will ever accept bitcoin. Both showed negative reactions towards bitcoin and both countries didnt receive any advantages with bitcoin's existence. US and China didnt even want to legalize and just tax bitcoin.

I believe it'll be USA who'll recognise it, look at the members of Sec board 3 out 5 are bitcoins supporters even their chairman supports it. Also it's pertinent to note that the incoming chief of staff of President Trump supports Bitcoins. It's also interesting to point out that Nasdaq is launching bitcoins futures in January 2019, and all the signs point towards USA legalising it in the near future.
6539  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You are buying that bitcointalk account at your own risk on: December 24, 2018, 11:22:44 AM
To reduce bitcointalk accounts being sold i think the ranking process needs to be made a bit easier. Getting to member status is doable, but anything above that is virtually impossible hence the dodgy market for BCT accounts

I have never liked the idea of people selling their accounts, as it leads to more spamming on the forum. These accounts are brought with the purposes of joining signature campaigns, acting as escrows and tricking newbies due to their high rank status or market themselves as campaign managers. I don't think the ranking process needs a revisit, as accounts were brought and sold before too, the ranking system has effectively lowered spam posts here and I would not touch the merit system.
6540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 232: Jones vs Gustafsson 2 Prediction and Info Thread on: December 24, 2018, 07:37:09 AM
Just a small tid bit of info for you guys thinking Jones could be suffering from 'ring rust'.  Gus actually is on a longer time not fighting than Jones.  Dan Hardy mentioned it in the video below...  Enjoy.  Wink

UFC 232:  Inside the Octagon - Jones vs Gus 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTyeenwluF4

The match between these two will be quite interesting, and there's a lot of mention of Jones suffering from ring rust, however I feel it shall not have a impact on him. I expect Jones to win this match, he definitely won't have it easy but in the end he'll be the victor. I also expect Nunes to win that sheer power shall definitely work in Nunes favour, it'll be disappointing if she doesn't win.
