6541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bakkt delays their launch on: December 24, 2018, 03:36:01 AM
These postponings remind me of how ETF approval decisions were postponed before.. I just hope the project won't dump us altogether, 'cause it's among few positive things on the market. It's fine if they decide to launch it later, it just has to be well-prepared, without significant bugs and other potential issues. I think that Bakkt is a good project. Unlike previous proposals about contracts, it will actually allow to exchange bitcoin, so many new investors will be able to come to the market and support is definitely what we need now. This could bring the prices back up IMO, and that is worth waiting for.

Hey Bakkt is in the final stages of getting approvals, however since it's vacation time their approval is likely to be delayed by few days. They'll be missing their own deadline of 24th January 2019, and a new estimate deadline is 30th January 2019 provided they get their approvals in time. On the other hand there's no clarity if bitcoins etf will get approvals come February end, we'll have to wait and watch. While I'm excited Bakkt launch shall play it's part in increasing prices, i do hope people come in for the technology too.
6542  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 BITDICE -2019 mBTC Christmas and New Year Celebrations [2+ BTC in Prizes] 🎲 on: December 23, 2018, 05:39:16 PM
Current leaderboard standings:

We've got a little competition but most spots still easy to get to and there's loads of time!

PS. Don't remember the prize pool is 1.5 BTC!

The competition has already caught pace, in a matter of two days most of the board has changed, and I believe we shall see more names being added and dropping out of the table. These competitions have proved again time after time, whales love to play it big at Bitdice, the numbers speak for it self. I believe these spots are yet attainable, and I'm sure like last time we shall see good amount of activity towards the end of the competition.
6543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Year Investment on: December 23, 2018, 02:43:40 PM
Which will be the best Cryptocurrency in the first 3 months of 2019

Hey for me Bitcoins has and always will be the best crypto, which can be added to the portfolio round the year. If you see in the current year cryptos prices suffered a lot, but in the end after every dump bitcoins prices recovered quickly and faster. Also it's pertinent to note that Bitcoins has achieved global recognition, and many international brands are now accepting it hence for me it's only bitcoins.
6544  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - reason for long term invest on: December 23, 2018, 12:42:07 PM
I think bitcoin is worth holding in the long run, the market is currently heading towards recovery and that will be an opportunity for good profits going forward.

Hey to maximise your earning potential from bitcoins, you should hold it for the long term to fully unlock it's potential to reward you. If you see people panicked and sold their coins at 3k levels, and now prices are already around 4K levels it's the power of holding. Also it's pertinent to note bitcoins is based on demand and supply, and in the long run the demand surpasses supply thereby increasing your coins value.
6545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why So Bloody Hard to Buy Crypto? on: December 23, 2018, 08:20:47 AM
Bitcoin and other crypto currencies are becoming more accepted these days.

Why then, is it so bloody hard for the average person to learn where to buy it?  Is it because it's considered "dirty money?"

Your opinion?

I'll agree many sellers have now started accepting bitcoins, and even some big brands have allowed it in their stores. I don't understand what you mean it's hard to learn about buying bitcoins?. There're tons of guides already on the internet, we have an active beginner section you can visit it to learn more. Also you don't need to buy bitcoins in full, you can buy as low as 1$ worth bitcoins. No one considers bitcoins dirty money, it's a ploy by banks to keep people away from bitcoins.
6546  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to store on: December 23, 2018, 05:19:22 AM
There are too many wallets out there but I would love to suggest you hardware wallet. If you want to make sure to keep your assets and private keys safe and sound then you should buy Ledger Nano S or Trezor the best wallet ever I have used. A little bit costly but very secured.

While I agree there're many wallets in the market, I feel if you're a beginner Electrum wallet is the one you should choose. What I like about Electrum is it's simple and easy to operate, it automatically calculates fees gives you seed, keys and changes addresses too. I have been using electrum wallet for quiet a while, and never encountered any problem, only if you're planning to store a huge volume of bitcoins then go for Trezor.
6547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you promote Bitcoin? on: December 22, 2018, 06:43:41 PM
I did not promote to friends, but my friend who asked might be because he/she was interested in plunging into the world of bitcoin / cryptocurrency that I just explained. Usually I only explain what bitcoin is, how to get it, to play bounty / airdrop.

When I had joined bitcoins I decided to promote it in our friends whatsapp groups, I was bit skeptical of using social media platforms like Facebook, twitter as those can be monitored. I also promoted it in the finance classes I was taking, wherein I introduced all to a new investment avenue. Lastly I made sure to get many traders to accept bitcoins, as a form of payment for goods.
6548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Bull after Christmas? on: December 22, 2018, 02:39:29 PM
Nowadays, crypto related news creates a big impact in the market, positively and negatively. I am not saying that fundamental analysis will be accurate on how it will impact the market because there are some cases that we have positive news but we still experiencing a bearish market. There are a lot of predictions that 2019 will be a recovery yesr for cryptocurrency but again, fundamental analysis creates market manipulation which will change the price of bitcoin up and down.

It's difficult to give a exact date for the bull rally, but we may just see it happening in quarter one of 2019. It's pertinent to note that Bakkt launch which was confirmed for January 24th will miss the deadline, and it'll be launched later due to regulatory approvals. Also there's no clarity whatsoever that Bitcoins etf will be approved or not, that leaves us only with Nasdaq Bitcoins future being confirmed, the approval and launch of the former events shall play a big role in deciding if we shall witness a rally or not.
6549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 22, 2018, 12:48:03 PM
It look like there are easy games for the bigs of Premier League today. I am going to bet on a parlay and choose Arsenal , Chelsea and Manchester United and I think this parlay will be hit. Liverpool gave a strong signal yesterday by easily winning to nil on Wolves home field.

Oh I think to add also Machester City to the parlay because I don't think there will be upset from the bigs of Premier League today.

While I expect Arsenal and Chelsea to win easily, I'm hoping Manchester United can cross the line, it's a risky bet according to me. I love Manchester United but the new manager just had two days of training with the team, the players are short of confidence and there's no fixed eleven. Also the main issue yet remains how to handle Pogba, and do remember Lukaku is injured so I feel Manchester United will need a miracle to win it.
6550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: when you say whales, who on: December 22, 2018, 08:05:54 AM
When you say whales, who exactly are these whales?  any names?

In the world of cryptos mysterious individuals who own large hoards of digital currency, are known as the Whales of the crypto world. While it's not possible to figure out their real identity, a study has found that around 32 of the whales hold over 1 million of bitcoins. It's pertinent to note that the smallest whale holds 12k and, biggest holds 85k bitcoins. One can classify these whales into four categories, 1) those who're traders who manipulate the prices, 2) the miners and early adopters, 3) lost wallet holders who have either died or lost access to their funds, and no guesses for this but 4) criminal whales who used it to conduct illegal transactions.
6551  Economy / Economics / Re: U.S. stock market suffers worst week since 2008 financial crisis on: December 22, 2018, 04:31:31 AM
- Dow Jones Industrial Average down nearly 7%, a biggest weekly drop since 2008
- S&P 500 falls 7% for the week, worst since 2011
- Nasdaq closes in a bear market

Hey this fall happened due to Feds raising the rate hike which caused panic in the share market, I was expecting further rate hikes but thought it could be lower though. Another factor which is leading the fall is the impending threat of the shutdown of the government, as of now there's no truce that's been brokered. Then there's the usual panic that if there's a government shut down then signs are not good for equities, possibilities of a recession. It'll be interesting to see if people decide to use Bitcoins as a hedge, in this scenario.
6552  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run or Dead Cat Bouncing ? on: December 21, 2018, 05:29:41 PM
Who cares if this is a dead cat bounce anyway if you are long? Back in 2014 as in 2018, the whole year was filled with dead cat bounces. Anyone lucky enough to be fooled by one or more and holding till today is doing just fine.

In my opinion panic sellers do care, if they assume it's a dead cat they'll once again rush to sell and such short sells shall effect the market. It seems to me op has not observed well, cause this short term rally may lead the start of a bull run, all the factors point towards it. I have said it before I'll say it again these are affordable levels to buy, we will very soon hear of the approval of Bakkt and Nasdaq Bitcoins futures is already announced. Hence going ahead in 2019, we shall see more upside movements from current levels.
6553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PONZI SCAMS ARE STARTING TO RISE on: December 21, 2018, 03:09:18 PM
People will always fall for ponzi scams, they say a new sucker is born every minute.  The allure of fast money is too strong for most people and they can't resist.  Also a lot of people participate it ponzi scams knowing that it is a scam but they still hope to make money off the new suckers.  No one is safe, Bernie Madoff was able to trick wealthy people with high education.

While I agree scams are increasing day by day, but we can take some precautions to prevent them. I always recommend find recent history of the person you're trading with, is he trustworthy or not. Then always use escrow on this forum, and never take PayPal for cryptos unless that member is a old and known member. Last but my favourite, if it's too good to be true it's a scam till proven otherwise.
6554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 21, 2018, 08:36:28 AM
Sri Lanka won the 2nd T20 match with a good score, Sakhib done a good job with batting and bowling and score a quick run, but west indies with a good start but not able to finish it and lost it. Now the T20 series is level 1-1 and 3rd match will be decider.

Same India Test match is also now level 1-1 after India loosing as the top order did not performed well.

It was Bangladesh who won this match and not Srilanka, they played smart cricket and won the game. At one point I felt they would not be able to hold out for a victory, but then West Indies batmans let themselves down.
India vs Australia series just got interesting, with the series tie now both teams shall try their best to win it. Also I feel that Indian Captain banter was unnecessary, I think it back fired and cost them the match what do you'll think.

6556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: December 20, 2018, 02:03:40 PM
I think all games are predictable of who will come out on top of this elimination stage except Juventus vs Atletico Madrid. This is like a pre final game we will watch sooner than the real final. All other couples seems easy for one of the teams, of course Real Madrid will come out as victorious from this game, same with Dortmund, and why not Roma and Manchester City together with PSG. There is no real competition except in the game of Atletico Madrid vs Juventus.

I totally disagree with your predictions, except Juventus match that'll be a tough one for both the teams as Atletico Madrid will face their old rival Ronaldo. I'm surprised you feel Dortmund will have a walk in the park, have you even been seeing how Tottenham have been playing it'll be a very close contested match. Also Bayern are a different team in Champions league and Liverpool won't win it easily. Manchester United have just got a new coach, and this shall cause plenty of problems for PSG as it'll make Manchester United unpredictable.
6557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 20, 2018, 07:20:42 AM
Bologna at home is a very strong team and they just showed it once again today by drawing with Milan, they drew with Inter Milan too and also beat Fiorentina at home, I am not 100% sure as I am not a big fan of Serie A but the team of Bologna has always caught my eye in the sense that they do show some pretty good football at home from time to time. I remember in 2017 losing the bet Bologna vs Napoli where Napoli was beaten 3-0.

The odd 2.03 was not attractive in my opinion but rather was let's say a "trap".
Luckily I only placed a small amount of money on the match between Bologna and AC Milan, I did not expect the match to end in a draw at full time, I guess I should take note on the odds payout that looks attractive for favorite teams in the future as it might be a trap to lure gamblers to place their bets on favorite teams to win.

Hey this time you got lucky but whenever you're betting on struggling teams, always make sure to see their past few matches records. I have often seen it some teams generally struggle, but when placed against a top team they tend to cause a upset. It seems you ignored the fact that Bologna is strong at home, and Milan is yet in transition it was a risky bet in my opinion hopefully you'll do better research for your next bet.
6558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 20, 2018, 03:33:07 AM
New round of transfer rumours:

- Lucas Hernandez (Atletico Madrid) to Bayern Munich almost done deal. The german club will pay the release clause (€80m) in January.

- Pepe, former Besiktas and Real Madrid player, is close to signing with Wolverhampton. Porto is also interested.

- Chelsea keen on Rabiot. FC Barcelona is also interested in the player.

- According to The Sun [1], Chelsea is ready to offer almost €80m for Isco.

1. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8012243/chelsea-isco-bid-transfer-arsenal-man-city/

I'm interested to see Pepe coming to premier league, he's vastly experienced and shall boost wolves who have played some outstanding football this season. I have read Rabiot is closer to Barcelona than Chelsea, but at Barcelona all he can do is warm the bench there's no place in the starting line up. I feel Isco will not be sold, as Mourinho would want him to stay as come summer Mourinho is back at Madrid. It seems Manchester United are going to buy in the January market and the player is Douglas Costa, not sure where he fits in or is even required.

6559  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where Bitcoin will skyrocket this time? on: December 19, 2018, 07:38:53 AM
bitcoin and crypto are already developing enough and there are many public utilities that they have built and are running, they have started something new and just how sweet they will create. I am optimistic that bitcoin and crypto will give a crazy percentage in the future and if we don't want to miss the train then go up and invest now

No one can say with absolute certainty which way bitcoins prices will go, past peaks are no indication that prices will end up high or low like in the past. I believe the key here is adoption of bitcoins, more people who adopt it will help it grow. I also believe that quarter one of 2019 events will have an important role in deciding bitcoins prices, in my opinion they should propel bitcoins prices upwards at least till 10k levels.
6560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The bull is here on: December 19, 2018, 03:08:58 AM
still far from the expectation that a bull run will occur.
the bull run market was not seen in just a few days, for me personally it was just a pump and a dump like usual.
even if a bull run occurs I think it will happen at the beginning of the new year.

I'll agree it's to early to label it as a bull run as we need it to sustain itself for few days before we can say a bull run has arrived. It's pertinent to note last year bitcoins prices were 20k during this time of the year, and what we're seeing now is some good upwards moments but it's too soon to see those levels. I believe if it can sustain itself we shall see more investments pouring into it, which shall give it further boost to climb up the charts.
