6561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which alts will survive? on: August 19, 2018, 07:43:27 PM
hey all, new to this forum, was wondering which alts do people think will survive? Which ones will gain traction when this crypto winter ends? Which ones have a use that will be taken up by the mainstream? Thanks

Ethereum is the number one in my book that will survive. Tech is just too good and developments are coming. It's the best platform I think that will bring crypto to mass adoption.
6562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Coins people are hodling At the moement ? on: August 19, 2018, 07:40:54 PM
If anyone willing to explain their portfolio and why they are holding will be appreciated.

I have lost a lot since January but hodling still and wants to buy more.

Any Good project suggestions will be helpful.

Majority of the coins I invested are also down at the moment but I am still holding like syscoin. I know they are quality coins and they'll recover from this market crash.
6563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I like to collect the token on: August 19, 2018, 07:27:39 PM
Do you have a preference for collecting tokens instead of selling them?
Currently in my wallet there are more than 200 tokens with different values and I do not sell them every time it is listed. I keep them and watch them every day. I was fascinated by the fact that there were many tokens in my wallet and not paying attention to their price.
Do you think this is a crazy hobby?

I thought I was alone haha. I too have over 200 tokens in my wallet. I have sold maybe one or two. Sometimes I regret for not selling some at their all time highs before crashing again.
6564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $100 : Where to invest with $100 ? on: August 19, 2018, 07:22:00 PM
With a $100 budget, my best shot would be to invest in a good ICO or invest in low marketcap coins/tokens like those less than 100 sats but with potential.
6565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in ETH ? on: August 19, 2018, 07:16:36 PM
Recently ETH dropped below $300 , what do you think the future holds ?

Do you think it will still go below that?

I think Ethereum platform is just too good to not recover from this bear market. Solid projects like Eth will keep on surviving and reach new highs.
6566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many think crypto is dead. It is not. on: August 19, 2018, 07:11:00 PM
It has been said many times that crypto is dead everytime there is a crash. Real crypto enthusiasts knew these crashes are just temporary. If people are smart, they'll pick a quality altcoin and accumulate while it's down.

6568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want from an ICO? on: August 19, 2018, 07:03:12 PM
Before I buy into an ICO, I would usually check the team behind, the use case, and the community. Also it is a great plus if it has a prototype or MVP.
6569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any ALTCOIN ever overtake Bitcoin ? on: August 19, 2018, 07:00:47 PM
It's almost 8 months of 2018 and we have not seen any reasonable hikes for the altcoins,
It was only Ethereum that hit a good value of almost 1.4k$ in the beginning of the year . Since then it's pretty dull.

Forget overtaking can any ALTCOIN ever reach a value near Bitcoin.

At the moment, no one can takeover bitcoin. Every altcoins reacts to bitcoin price movement. In a few years more years, it could change though since blockchain keeps on evolving.

6575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT KEEPS YOU SANE IN THESE CRYPTO BLOODBATHS? on: August 12, 2018, 11:31:55 PM
These 10 guides have kept me sane. I am lucky enough to have read them when I was starting in crypto. I believe new bloods in crypto should read and understand this.

1. Commit yourself to becoming an expert in all aspects of cryptocurrency (mining, fundamental & technical analysis, etc.)

2. Only invest what you can afford to lose, and be okay with the fact that you might lose it all.

3. Learn/Experience altcoin bubbles & herd behavior. Remove your emotions from the process.

4. You can't be correct 100% of the time. Expect to lose sometimes. It's about optimizing your percentages, not perfection.

5. Always keep your mind set on the end goal (no more salary/slavery) and focus on how to achieve that.

6. Become a master of reviewing altcoins, learn how to spot a scam so that its almost instant when you look at a shitcoin.

7. Diversify into as many quality altcoins as you can. That way you can experience market bubbles thousands of times over. If you hold all the coins and accumulated them for cheap, you've lowered your risk and win every time there's pump.

8. You must understand the time dimension. All losses/profits are temporary until you've made the trade. All altcoins are related but on their own market cycle. Most of your coins are winners but u need the patience to wait for the right time to make each trade.

9. HODL until moon or grave. Store your top cryptocurrencies for long term gains. You need strong hands to hodl through shakeouts.

10. Find or create a group of like minded individuals to share your research and investment ideas with.

Those all things are good, but take my advice,
Invest and leave it, find something else to keep you busy, get a life, learn something new, expand your skill set. Just observing market all day will not make any difference, going outside meeting people will create a connection and you can learn something new.

Ideally, this is the best. For people who are just starting in crypto, it is difficult to tell them to just leave it. They are more prone to mistakes in choosing where and what to invest into.
6576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dead altcoins worth reviving. on: August 12, 2018, 11:23:45 PM
Some made fortune on seemingly "dead coins" who had another heart beat. Are they worth reviving? As long as there are new and relevant developments.
6577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the twitter insanity end? on: August 12, 2018, 11:20:33 PM
Yeah it's a pain to see huge number of spammers and scammers on twitter and it gets tiring to report them all. It is only up to twitter to do something about this.
6578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is all of the cryptocurrency is down? on: August 12, 2018, 11:18:20 PM
Hello, why is all of the cryptocurrencies are bleeding right now?
Is there any news?

The latest I know is the postponement of the SEC decision on bitcoin ETF. I still do not really understand why the market would go down but it is what it is.
6579  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin fall down to 5K this month? on: August 12, 2018, 11:16:24 PM
Well, it already did before. So the chances of going back to 5K this month is really possible. Some are even saying it would go to 2K but that's too low in my opinion.
6580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is signature apportionment always high than that of Social Media? on: August 12, 2018, 11:15:06 PM
I joined this forum as well as cryptocurrency trading in April this year. I have engaged in some ICOs and bounty campaigns but earn so little from the social media campaigns.
What I notice is that the bounty proportion given for signature campaign is always than others. Why that? I believe social media should be high because you reach more people than in signature.
I am just confused.

It is not always the case. There are some ICO's that allocate less to signature campaigns. Anyway, I think it is usually higher for most campaigns because the target audience are all crypto enthusiasts unlike in social media.
