6561  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Intro to campaign managing on: April 12, 2020, 05:20:05 AM
If you have a reputation already outside the forum for managing giveaway or some sort of campaign then maybe you can have a chance even at your current status here. Though some say, you need reputation here because a newbie cant easily get a client out here. Trust is valuable here, so unless youve been handling a campaign before or you are a known figure, you still need to be visible here as reputable before got noticed.

Like what others have mentioned. This is not an easy process, but do your thing, who knows you can be like most reputable and trusted manager here too.( if your persistent)
6562  Other / Meta / Re: What are "reserved" posts? on: April 12, 2020, 05:03:56 AM

Isn't that what the edit function is for? Why avoid editing the original post?
Yeah it is, however for some authors they preferred a segregate post for another update for the topic they first posted. For example: On a campaign, they usually tend to give follow up news or put some valuable information on that "reserved post" leaving the original one untouched. Why its sometimes hard to edit or add some coded paragraphs or images to a set up post or ann thread. That's only in my opinion. Or they just wanted to make a neat OP. Why so concern about this anyway?
6563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrencies can now be send without the use of internet. on: April 12, 2020, 04:51:28 AM
Im just amazed with this news that an exchange on Venezuela can now send crypto without internet and only via sms text messages. To be honest this is a major step up but of course we cant deny that risk is associated with this method.

You can now send crypto without the internet in Venezuela, a local exchange has revealed. The exchange enables users to send crypto through a simple Short Massaging Service (SMS). This is a strategy to spur adoption.

The revolutionary SMS based crypto payment has been developed by Criptolago exchange. This is a strategy to grow crypto adoption in a country where internet penetration is still a nightmare. Transactions do not need users to be connected to the internet.

The exchange says the innovation came amid calls from Nicholas Maduro, the President for local firms to come up with solutions to alternative payment methods. The President’s vision was for a country where users can transact using offline payments ecosystems that are also compatible with the local currency; Petro.

With this innovation, Im thinking it still has risk for users though this advancement is truly revolutionized in the blockchain. For example cases like these:

  • Mobile got stolen by someone who knows its working on their country
  • SMS is probably vulnerable somehow, what if hackers can bypass the system of sending message through another reciepient?
  • With the system, probably blockchain isnt gonna move faster than using traditional address to address as it uses an encrypted text messages and might got some error.

Anyways, lets just think of it as starter and those flaws might be solved with additional security protocol in the future.

6564  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinomi wallet on: April 11, 2020, 08:26:35 AM
PROS
  • Supported multiple coins and tokens(thats all)

CONS:
  • Coding is not open source(red flag)
  • Lots of bugs on their app
  • High fees
  • No fiat gateway compared to most multi wallet exchange
  • Bad support and very long time to attend to errors and bugs

Im not sure what else this wallet have. But as far as I know many complained has been raised. Ive used this once but I have a coin that's gone suddenly. Well support has been contact but none response at all.

Trusted wallet? Not gonna fall for that.
6565  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Is Bitcoin Blockchain Different From Altcoin Blockchains? on: April 11, 2020, 08:11:10 AM
What I really desire to know is how does the bitcoin blockchain work differently from altcoin blockchain and what are the core programming technologies behind it?
Since you mentioned it. There is no prime difference how blockchain of bitcoin works differently on altcoins. Satoshi's goal in layman's term is to create a peer to peer enviroment that doesnt restricted by such authority or entity. Like what has been explained by @pooya87 this is major building blocks that linked together called chain. Now for these chains to connect we execute transactions that has been systematically recognized in a network.

Difference to other blockchain will be restricted to speed, weight, algorithm and scalability of their using consensus.  But if your looking for more detailed comparison you can refer to this simple guide. What is Blockchain Technology - A step by step guide for beginners

6567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Campaigns in the Altcoin sections to join. Dont waste your time with others on: April 11, 2020, 06:50:46 AM
Yeah should list these two projects Lead Wallet and DogData(IEO will launch on Bitforex).
As far as I know only DogData will be listed on Bitforex, I didnt know Lead Wallet also? Im not sure about the details. Of course I browse already these two projects and of course I am looking on the bright side why should I list those youve mentioned.

First, DogData, I know they can be listed on a good IEO but referring to their objective I am thinking also if the chance of getting succesful of the project itself can be seen. Im not judging the project, but do you honestly believe that this use case will triumph later on?(not judging but lets be realistic) Trading, yes thats how IEO project works.

I am more confident than Lead wallet but its redundant already as too many wallets are there. Anyway. I appreciate the response.
6568  Other / Archival / Re: Why you should avoid gambling for beginner on: April 11, 2020, 06:41:23 AM
All of it are nice warning OP and I understand why you suggesting these cause a lot of people have been drowned on gambling and wasted their life. Fair judgement but of course there are also reason why those people loves to gamble. If this one is really bad why there are lots of it? Of course its all about business and money right?

I cant blame those who are doing gambling cause actually this is their comfort zone or entertainment ro relieve stress from work or business they are running into. It's just some people way over the enjoyment and proceed to addiction level already.
6569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada include the bitcoin. on: April 10, 2020, 09:00:41 AM
Forgive my cynicism, but I don't count this as "adoption".  Trading these speculative assets is not the same as transacting with actual BTC.  People aren't learning anything about Bitcoin when they're dealing with something more analogous to stocks and shares.
I guess you have a point. Well they did add bitcoin on their official stocks exchange, but the fact that the addition of bitcoin doesnt mean they are learning something about it hence it more goal is to expand the trading above the stocks they are currently doing so.

I am not negative about this news, but somehow this can wider the visibility of bitcoin as it will be known on their country. Just do hope those can appreciate it are those outside the trading circle and instead focusing on trading it going to use it like we all want. Natural adoption for bitcoin.

One of the famous Mayor on Metro Manila Isko Moreno will be giving out a lot of rice subsidies sa mga kababayan natin check out the news. This is one thing Filipinos are expecting from our Politicians.

At least 571,000 families will receive rice subsidies from the Manila City government next week amid the COVID-19 crisis.

In a statement, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno announced that 50,000 sacks for rice, which is equivalent to 2.5 million kilos of rice, are ready for distribution to the families affected by the enhanced community quarantine.

"We are trying to stock up on basic goods, particularly rice, so we entered into a contract with [the] National Food Authority about two weeks ago. This is going to be delivered by next week in their respective barangays,” Moreno said during the inspection of sacks at Pritil Market.

6572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Campaigns in the Altcoin sections to join. Dont waste your time with others on: April 10, 2020, 08:02:01 AM
I want share new one legal project (basic finance) with already start trading in bithumb exchange. I want recommend, come here and check project development performance.
Hello thanks for the suggestion but I am not gonna add it to my list for the following reason.

  • No signature campaign on its category, I am inclined adding campaign with this type. With the exemption of the first campaign Ive put but will continue to add campaigns with signature as my choice here.
  • Chances that only few will joined it due to KYC, but probably some will still join. I am pass with projects that have KYC. Its also for participants protection. Sorry

Since the project is already trading on bithumb then this is a good catch for those who sees KYC as no issue, to me I don't promote bounties that ask for KYC, my privacy is what I don't joke with
Yeah thats what Im thinking too. If the budget isnt that worth providing KYC, I tend to warn users or avoid them participating with non value but worse will risk their identity for such project.

I wrote something about the Nano X when I bought it, you might find it helpful : Ledger Nano X - Review of the package.
Oh thanks. Once I purchase mine I will use your guide for the actual set up and of course as beginner probably I will have some query on it once Ive touched the device.

Some offer a percentage discount and some offer a flat discount, so figure out which one works out best for you. The codes in that link offer either 20% or $25 off, but they may well have been used by now.
Wow thats a huge discount $25" off is a lot too. Thanks, maybe I will open up a thread once I am ready to purchase. But why is the guy asking for codes here? Where do you get free or discount codes? Or this is given to old customer for the purchase before? Anyway thank you. I am gonna make sure to have a code for that huge less.

6576  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: These Anti-KYC Stuffs Tiring Non-Techies Up on: April 09, 2020, 07:32:00 AM

4. Will these KYC things (submitting my documents) do any harm on me?

Yes, I know privacy is important, but it really tires me up. With this little amount, I think I wont be of a target of hackers/bad guys (a waste of time for them). Right?

Depends. If you are doing wrong or illegal stuff then youre in trouble upon launching your KYC. The purpose of KYC does matter, but using it on a lot of platform could be a bad move. We dont know how those private firms doing on those submitted IDs.

I did some KYC but not limited to what was necessary to give in. I doubt that only few here doing a complete anonymous and practicing pure decentralized approach here. Traders using Binance and major exchange needed KYC so, but for those who arent. Congratulations to all of you. Youre totally risk free (from identity theft).

In our country, we have an app called Coins.Ph and everyone who have it, knows the verification needed in order to avail its services. It is a form of KYC, so everyone or mostly on our local is probably done KYC but its not that mandatory and we are feel secure cause its authorized by our National Bank. Just pick which platform your just give in the information to be safe.
6577  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Develop From the Ground to Startup & Beyond..... on: April 09, 2020, 06:57:54 AM
We have a new project which we would like to implement. At the moments I do not have much of a budget to hire many people for those tasks, that's why we are looking for partners who will get shares from each project.
Thats a lot of background experience you are needed there. I think if your looking for some experts on that services you should have posted this on service section to attract skilled personnel for your project.

Also may I know if this new project will be an altcoin project? Cause if it is. Your really on a wrong section dude as this is for bitcoin development discussion only.
6578  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X Experience on: April 09, 2020, 06:43:47 AM
I'm just amazed at how the battery life on the Nano X stays. I mean, it's over a month already + the quarantine where I didn't use the device up until now. I was surprised that it's up by 94% battery remaining. I don't regret upgrading to Ledger Nano X from Ledger Nano S. I still have it but I mostly use the Nano X.

*This is marketed already, I just want to share my personal experience as well.
I am really excited with to purchase, this NanoX ledger device. I already studied every instruction to do and create when it arrives. Based on most, feedback they say its a good deal.

By the way OP, since we are on the same country, mind asking how much was the VAT and custom tax duty added when your gonna shipped it? As Ive seen on the site its cost around 6,783php for Nano X, and 8,400php for both NanoX and NanoS bundle, since you have one, I would like to know how much will it cost.

Do you think its worth it if I purchase the bundle of NanoX and NanoS or just straight for NanoX? Really excited for this.  Grin

Hope shipping wouldnt be so hard since pandemic virus is ongoing.
