6561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: January 18, 2018, 09:11:27 PM
Lol, I would surely stop playing, better to exit the casino with some money than nothing... Especially if you will need it to pay your fuel or transportation. It hits the main gambling's rule: Bet only what you can afford to lose.

In this case, if you lose you will just need to go home on foot or by hitchhiking. And if you are married, your wife will probably complain a lot when you arrive home.  Cheesy
What if his home is on many miles away? He would end up on walking for how many hours and which is really deserving for you to face such consequence because you dont set out limits on playing gambling where even your fare or for gasoline been used out on playing this is why we should always set limits and do spend on the amount that you can afford to lose.
6562  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are the trading bots worth the price? on: January 18, 2018, 08:22:32 PM
I've bought a license to Haasbot a couple of years ago and I was pretty happy with it, their licenses aren't that expensive @ 0.035 BTC for a beginners one.
I think I'd made a total of 0.05 BTC profit in the end, but I felt that it would have been more useful for me if I had more technical knowledge of how the algo's worked.

Check it out for yourself here:
https://www.haasonline.com/pricing/

May i ask if you are still using the bot now? I'm thinking that if these bots are actually profitable the why isn't everyone using it yet? And if everyone started using bots like these wouldn't it mean that it would no longer be profitable because the trading pattern would already be so obvious to non bot users?

Personally i'm skeptical that a simple bot without any form of AI can earn 0.1 in BTC, especially with how volatile the market is. One bad trade and you could already lose a lot even without bots.
I am thinking to purchase too, but I cannot purchase since it really costly a lot, and I don't have yet enough fund for it, I hope that I can purchase it soon, so I can start and can change my life just like others. I have some friend here in our country who bought bot the time the price of bitcoin was still low and now they are benefiting a lot.

Dont forget you still need some money to trade with and you might loose it all under certain circumstances like bear market or maybe some wrong configurations from your side.
Bots would really still need to be set-upped according on the users knowledge which it would really entirely dependent on the configuration that you would made. This is why thinking off that using bots are profitable then i dont think so. I agree that some of them do have high prices for rich people then those amounts wont be nothing but for us casual traders which do have average money on pockets will surely hesitate.
6563  Economy / Speculation / Re: Shops/stores will lose money when Bitcoin price falls on: January 18, 2018, 06:57:44 PM
Bitcoin is at $10,000 and shops/stores gets $50,000 payments in Bitcoin and after that if Bitcoin price falls to $5,000.

Shops/stores will lose $25,000. Will people take Bitcoin payments for goods and services HuhRoll Eyes
This would be on case to case basis if a certain merchant would decide to keep those bitcoins to be reserved on their own wallet or would rather decide once been recieve they would convert it to fiat. If they would decide to store bitcoin then they will really got affected on price volatility this is one of the reason why merchants would really hesitate to accept bitcoin because of unstable price movements but somehow anytime they can able to get rid of it by direct conversion.
6564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Bitconnect Closes Virtually Its Entire Operation, BCC Token Drops 87% on: January 17, 2018, 08:32:39 PM

Bitconnect has formally closed its lending platform and cryptocurrency exchange following warnings from Texas and North Carolina regulators. The Bitconnect Coin (BCC) digital currency is down 87% today and 93% from its December 29 high of $437.At press time,BCC is trading for just $30.

                                                                           Ponzi-like
Many in the digital currency community have called Bitconnect a Ponzi scheme, including Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, according to TechCrunch. Such accusations were based on the multi-level referral system and the promise of up to 40% earned interest, plus a daily bonus of up to 0.25% per day,on each loan. The promise of risk-free high returns is often typical of a scam-if it sounds too good to be true,it probably is.

Bitconnect Coin’s website describes the currency as:

The moment you acquire BitConnect Coin it becomes an interest-bearing asset with 120% return per year. It is that simple.

Unfortunately for investors, that“interest-bearing asset”is now nearly worthless

Not worth crying over spilled milk. Months of respected members have said Bitconnect is a big scam. The greedy people did not believe it and I do not regret it.
For those people who did invest big then they do really deserve such loss. Just like being said most people on community said that this is indeed a scam with just seeing on its structure its an obvious Ponzi thing but still people are too greedy and didn't really took those advices seriously and now most of them are crying out into their loses which this thing is already being anticipated to happen sooner or later on this coin which is already we do see as of now. This would really be a lesson learn for them.
6565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your advice: When should I cash out? on: January 17, 2018, 07:46:26 PM
I have been investing in a bunch of different coins for a while now, mainly BTC, ETH, LTC, and some other lesser-known coins. I have a lot of different coins in my portfolio to stabilize/reduce risk.

I love the gains that these coins provide. I never panic-sell, and always hodl and buy low. That has been my simple strategy.

However, I have a problem - how do I train myself to know when to cash out?

For instance, last night the BTC price was high (18K), and ETH/LTC price were low.

I could have cashed out then, and invested in ETH/LTC, which are seeing a nice pump now.

How do you know when to cash out??

Right now the only time I cash out is when I need to money to buy a gift or something.
the choice of making cashouts is too subjective.
Continue to hold and make small cashouts just for necessity.
Instead you can withdraw everything when you are satisfied with the value achieved or if you think that the value can not go up.

There are some subjective factors, that is correct but at the same time there are some absolute factors as well, all coins are losing a huge amount of money right now and bitcoin is very far away from its all time high so cashing out right now is a huge mistake, the best thing you can do now is to hold and do not sell your coins for a bad price or you may regret that decision later in your life.
You would surely regret on those times specially when you do saw that your coin that have been sold did able to reach out 10-100x on its price. You will surely kick that damn wall on frustrations on possible profits that you would made or even you do missed the opportunity on getting rich. This is my situation when I'm still a newbie holding off some coins but I'm not really patient for long term holds but theres no need to regret since past is past and its done already. If you do seen the possibilities or potential of a coin better to hold it off no matter what.
6566  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best coin to mine on smartphone on: January 16, 2018, 11:04:00 PM
I have been thinking of mining with my phone for some times now,  I have gone through various online resources on how to mine with smartphone but the result were not satisfactory considering how hard it is to mine this days.  Please which coin can I easily mine with my phone.
Don't bother to think about it because you would just waste up your mobile phone if you do plan to use it for mining and besides I don't even know that theres still a coin which is mineable by the use of phone considering that hashes would be given would be entirely small which I didn't think off that capable on mining stuffs and as being said by most people here you are just adding up expenses on buying a new battery of your smartphone.
6567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Hold your keys vs money on exchanges on: January 16, 2018, 09:55:51 PM
Your not supposed to have funds, coins, or tokens on an exchange for longer than you need to trade them. Of course if you are looking to pick up an asset and you need to put some bids in then you are gonna need some funds on the website before hand. In this case it is okay to have funds on but again you generally don't want it there for a month but rather one week or so tops.
Idling it for a week is already long for me. Keeping them on exchanges isn't really a wise thing regarding on previous exchange hacks I'm done already on this matter.Losing precious coins isn't easy at all.You do accumulate them on all of your hard work and funds but in an instant they are all gone once sites being hacked. This is why safety measures would always be advised.
6568  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few thoughts on my first week trading crypto currencies on: January 16, 2018, 08:56:11 PM
I will also add that from a purely technical standpoint...in reading these charts...a lot of these coins (especially the bigger ones) seem to behave, for the most part, as a technical trader would expect.  bouncing off MA's , support/resistance levels, stochastics, etc etc.  All other variables aside...that is good to see.

For example..the daily chart of BTC doesnt look very good at all.  2 cycles of lower highs and bouncing off 12.5k support level (on binance) several times (descending wedge)...now its broken under that support on high volume....    and the 2 failed breakout attempts of ETH over last week if looking at 6hr chart.... now 20% lower ....

again, just from a technical standpoint...these things to seem to behave in a somewhat predictable fashion
Regarding on using Technical tools on crypto trading I can say that sometime they do might work specially on making some support and resistance level which as a trader on this field would really be helpful for you because you can assume that price would really go into that way but not anytime to give you assurance because this cryptocurrency market do involve with emotions on some time which either those walls that we predicted that to hard to breakout sometimes its being eaten up easily once emotions would really be on the involvement.
6569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I always lose all my tokens and btc on gambling~ on: January 12, 2018, 05:46:33 PM
The biggest problem is that gambling is addictive and people never have the power to stop. They never have the power to put stop loss or to wait for more profitable situation to gamble. when the situation is not profitable for you you should never take the chance!

No one knows whether the current situation is profitable or not unless you play a game and find out. That's why it is always good to gamble only with the money which can afford to lose and never use more than that amount in gambling. In this way, you can avoid losing more money in gambling and you no need think much when to stop your gambling.
We always have a chance to stop, but don't want to do it because of various reasons. One of them are due your brain has been infected by the gambling habit virus. There's no way out except you have another similar habit that really addictive and it wasn't easy job. Just make sure you didn't gamble exaggeratedly.
Everyone has enough common sense to know when to stop because it is a general thing that if you are facing losses in something, it’s better to leave that thing before you go with financial crisis. But the greed for more blocks their ability of thinking that’s why they keep on trying and playing gambling even when they know that they are already in loss and they will not be able to face further losses in future.
This is where most gamblers do failed up to follow which they do let their greed control them or overcome their decisions regarding on their limitations. We do have common sense and self awareness but we just neglect it and sometimes we do go YOLO bets hoping for you to chase up or break even on what you have lost. If you are lucky then you might able to get what you aim but if not then you would start to regret.
6570  Economy / Economics / Re: implication of south Korean crackdown on cryptocurrencies on: January 12, 2018, 04:56:11 PM
South Korean authorities are currently clamping down on cryptocurrencies  and are proposing a legislation to possibly ban cryptocurrency because they have linked it to gambling and other illegal behaviours among their population. This has caused some uproar in the market. However, the lives of many young Koreans depends on cryptocurrencies as unemployment rate remains high in the country. What do you think will play out if the government of South korea finally succeeds in shutting down the crypto space?
Its all FUD. Keep reading on this link https://coinjournal.net/south-korean-police-not-raid-cryptocurrency-exchanges-fud-triggers-market/ .They might consider some additional steps but not totally talking on banning it completely. Leaders have spoken that they wont really do such or no actions has been made. Lets just assume that they did really make that thing then it will surely give some impact on bitcoin world but not totally the cause for it to crash so hard.
6571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie bounty manager on: January 12, 2018, 04:18:33 PM
I've seen a campaign with a newbie bounty manager is that really necessary? Do you think this campaign is not a scam?
Thank you for your answers.
This is the first thing I look into when joining a campaign I prefer. I don't join if the rank of the manager is below sr. Member. Ranks sets credibilty which is a big factor in promoting ICO projects

But a project may prefer to manage the bounty campaign with a separate account, so in that case it may be possible that the account is a newbie account.
Its possible but would really hard to determine since they don't really make such announcement or claims that they are using new accounts. I have seen some newbie managers do really have the skills and experienced on handling campaigns which doesn't really always signifies that if a manager is newbie then its a scam. Not at all, it would be just entirely depending on the project,if you do see anything suspicious then you should really be ready or wary on the actions that you would made.
6572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BITCOIN value is decreasing, ANY chance of rise in other Currency? on: January 12, 2018, 03:37:39 PM
As you all know about the Bitcoin rate are decreasing nowadays, I'm new to Cryptocurrency so anyone who has knowledge about could tell that which currency has potential and good to invest in Huh

Thanks
First of all I would like to welcome you here on this Crpytocurrency world. Talking about bitcoin rate, dont be surprised on those prices because its just like a normal thing regarding on such movement knowing that bitcoin is a volatile thing which we can really see those kind of movement. It may drop but yet this thing is the most worth to invest on and if you do like to maximize potential income then you can both engage both bitcoin and altcoins too.
6573  Economy / Gambling / Re: When a Gambler/Player Dies on: January 12, 2018, 02:32:02 PM
good question. being a casino owner we should think about this. let me discuss with our advisor regarding this
Its possible if you'd want to but I want to say that gambling sites don't need info of a player most of the time because you can just put up an email and set some password then confirmed it to your email then you are good to go. Gambling sites do even have a direct way of registering with username and password which we cant see any information of a player. If the player dies then I do consider those funds would be a free money for houses which recovering would really be hard.
6574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: January 09, 2018, 09:11:37 PM
In fact, gambling does not help in life, but sometimes you can have fun with it, because gambling is very tempting.

It doesn't help in life? That's a fact if you are only experiencing tons of loss and you are not recovering with it but if you are enjoying and you are winning with a lot of money with it for sure you won't say that it's not helping in life. It's tempting and that's not healthy for someone that can't resist the temptation.
If you do really aim for a decent life or does think about having lots of money and you do see gambling can really give those things then those temptations would really be strong since you do aim for money unlike on those people who dont really bother or not being too greedy would usually avoid these temptations. Gambling can really wreck up our lives if we dont really be aware on the risk involve behind it.Always think off on the things that might happen ahead.
6575  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Poor support on exchanges on: January 09, 2018, 08:22:29 PM
No, they all are the same, but there are a lot of exchanges coming up to the internet everyday (they were created by initial coin offerings) The traditional exchanges are very hyped right now, i dont know why there is still people using them.
Is there any exchange which have good support? Im freaking out on those shitty exchanges which needs months to answer of fucking question.
Bittrex? Bittrex is the real shit only that on a website in form of exchange, they stoled me more than 1 BTC, and they never gave me a reply back to my support ticket (submitted on July of the last year)
Quote
Bittrex was one of better exchanges out there, but im waiting 20 days to answer me on support ticket. Is that normal? It means they dont give a fuck about their customers, they only think about money
Congratulations, you really have discovered america, we all know that they all are only to earn money..

I have remembered back into those exchanges where their customer support were very responsive when it comes to users concerns or any other complaints but now they do really changed which they cant able to sustain such service to their users. We can give some considerations since there would really be already lots of users do been add up compared back into the past but yet its not an excuse for them not to upgrade. They do already generated some serious money after all these year thats why they should really resolve it asap for them to sustain on what they have started.
6576  Economy / Economics / Re: Which crypto-currency do you prefer? on: January 09, 2018, 07:38:47 PM
At the moment I prefer Bitcoin, but I am looking for an alternative. Can anyone suggest me some alternative cryptocurrencies except Bitcoin ?!
P.S: I'm so sorry if I post this in the wrong board but I don't know what is right board for this question. If I post this in the wrong board, please move it to the right one, thank you.
Theres no doubt on that which Bitcoin would really be always prefer but those words are just good back in the past on where tx fee and fast confirmations are still fine but now on the current situation those things will really put us already on hesitation considering on the price as of now.Its not really worth to spend on but still bitcoin would be good for long term profits.Seeking out altcoins isnt bad since there are lots to be used when it comes to transferring funds.
6577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties and Airdrops on: January 08, 2018, 07:44:29 PM
a good airdrop is hard to find. and for bounties you need followers and social media accounts generally. i never participate bounties because i dont have social media accounts but bitcointalk.org signature campaings are best i think. is there a any active signature campaign for a newbie?

Unfortunately, there are no good signature campaign for Newbie. Increase the rank before Jr.Member it takes a little time. Then you can participate in many campaigns. While you can write articles and participate in fb, tw campaigns.
Most campaigns as of now do require Jr. Member atleast for you to be eligible on such bounty task specially on signature and other related things since when they do tend to accept newbies then that bounty camp or even on airdrop would really be prone on being abused or spammed which isnt really good at all which its really better to have those restrictions. But still there are some task which newbie can able to participate off knowing that signature campaigns isnt only the task on earning though.
6578  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My Crypto Trading Blog on: January 08, 2018, 06:47:37 PM
Hi everybody. It seems that there is significant interest in learning how to trade here. If you are interested in viewing my blog about how I trade successfully, please inbox me and I will pm you the link.

There, you'll find blog posts about my trades and how I find success while trading. This is not a pitch to sell you anything. I have posts for beginners and some technical/fundamental analysis posts. There is also a free Bitcoin faucet on the website.

I hope you find it somewhat useful.

Thanks!
Why would need up to PM you? since you can able to post it directly. Its just a blog and theres nothing special for it to be hidden. Community would really give feedbacks if its worth or not better to post it publicly rather than on need on messaging you. As you have mentioned you are not selling everything but on the thing you do ask i do consider that you do have that kind of aim.
6579  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Where can i report a crypto crime? on: January 05, 2018, 03:08:59 PM
It looks like only police can solve you problem!
however, most of the police may not be able to solve internet crime.
There are special division for the police department where you can complain things like this and it will be an advantage for a country that recognize bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

FBI can do the job if you're living in America but if not try to search on what particular agency is assigned to receive these type of complains.

And also mate, don't underestimate the bravery and knowledge of police force. I do support their arm for controlling and reducing the crime rate and these such acts will be solved by them.
I would say they do really have the capability to trace transactions but would really be a tough job for them. We do know how transactions happen on this cryptocurrency world which its just new and authorities are just new into solving these kind of cases but i do believe sooner or later they would able to make some ways on resolving crimes which is good and would be helpful and will surely lessen up specially on hyip or ponzi scheme scams since these are the most common investments do involve on making illegal.
6580  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coinsmarkets on: January 04, 2018, 07:47:49 PM
I've been using Coinsmarkets for about 6 months now without any issues.

Deposits are credited after 6 confirmations & withdrawals are processed immediately.

there has been a serious upsurge in user activity in recent weeks & the site has gone down
a few times in the last week due to the sheer amount of volume on its servers.

An urgent upgrade to new servers was started yesterday to cope with this sudden increase in demand.

As a regular user of Coinsmarkets, I would rather suffer a bit of sustained inconvenience for a day or two
if it means the server issues get resolved & the site gets back to normality.

There must be an enormous amount of data to be transferred and I think a bit more patience is called for..

Good luck
They should really upgrade so that they wont really experience such thing when traffic tends to rise up. They didnt really expect for it to happen for sure. This exchange doesnt give too much headaches for now and ive been using this too for how many months since there are coins in the market which you can actually sold it here.

I have been with this exchange from 2 months and it hasn't caused me any issue.Leaving few errors like sometime there is some transaction issue due to server problem and it starts lagging sometimes which are the only flaw that i have detected and rest is pretty swift working.Wallets are good and safe and speed is good which is plus. There might be some technical issue which their representative could resolve so please contact.
Errors are normal but its just really minimal which i do see these errors are common but the most important thing is that they do easily resolve it as soon as they can. I havent tried out their support though.
