For me everyday is international women day... But not for everyone...

A gentle reminder from @SALVO_ID jersey

Jakarta. An Indonesian sports apparel manufacturer apologized on Sunday after coming under attack for printing washing instructions deemed sexist on the shirt of a local top flight soccer club.

“Washing Instructions. Give this jersey to your woman. IT’S HER JOB,” Salvo Sports printed on the inside of the shirt they designed for Pusamania Borneo, who begin their Indonesian Super League campaign next month.

Salvo were hit with complaints on social media after posting pictures of the offending message on Twitter this week before they issued an explanation and unreserved apology on Sunday, international women’s day.

“The message is simply, instead of washing it in the wrong way you might as well give it to a lady because they are more capable,” Salvo posted.

“There’s no intention to humiliate women. In contrast, (we want to tell the men) learn from women on how to take care of clothes because they pay attention to details.

“Not all men understand/know how to take care of their own clothes, women are more knowledgeable/experts on such matters.

“We apologize profusely for any miss-interpretations.”

The miss-interpretation in action.

Aren't the parents worried about falling out with the school management?
After all, the kid has to continue to go to the same school.....

Sounds like the school management would punish the kid for political reasons, and not based on his grades? Can't be!

The Unbearable Lightness Of Being…A Clinton Supporter

Upon hearing the news of Hillary Clinton’s closeted email server, progressives went into their natural state – attack mode.

The former secretary of state unambiguously violated the law by housing her official emails in her mansion’s basement rather than government servers, but true believers couldn’t care less. In the same week retired General David Petraeus pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material for giving his mistress access to information for his biography, progressives are unconcerned with the idea of untold numbers of classified communications with administration officials and world leaders sitting on an unsecure server in an estate in Chappaqua, N.Y.

The phrase “double standard” comes to mind, but, as the saying goes, without double standards progressives would have no standards at all.

Upon learning of Clinton’s private storage facility for state secrets, loyalists lined up to throw their credibility on their sword to protect the Bill and Hillary machine.

Lanny Davis, whom I like personally, took to the pages of USA Today to deflect “innuendo,” as he calls it, away from Hillary’s ignoring the law. He wrote of Hillary using a private email account that “the law restricting such private accounts by public officials was changed in 2014.” Indeed, long after she’s left office.

But what Davis doesn’t want you to know is the law also was changed in 2009 to require all official electronic communications regarding government work, including emails and texts, be conducted on government email (which Hillary didn’t use) or a personal one (which she used exclusively) for preservation on the servers where the person works. Since Hillary’s were (and presumably still are) sitting in her basement and not on government servers inside the State Department, well, you can see how that is not following the law.

Davis tries to brush this off by saying, “Secretary Clinton's e-mails were preserved on the server, regardless of whether it was located at home.” That would be fine if the Federal Records Act required emails be stored “somewhere,” but it doesn’t. It requires they be stored in the agency itself.

As it stands now, the only proof they have been preserved at all is the word of Hillary Clinton. That and $2.50 will get you a cup of coffee.

Then Davis writes what will become the mantra of Clintonistas, “More than 50,000 pages had already been turned over.” Some use the number 55,000, but whatever number they use is irrelevant because they’re talking about “pages,” not emails.

An email reading, “Lunch today?” is one page. An email with a news story pasted into it can be any number of pages depending upon how long it is. So 55,000 pages is a worthless number used to sound big, not to give any real information.

And remember, those “pages” are the ones Team Clinton agreed to turn over to the State Department. Which emails were withheld? For what reason? How many were permanently deleted from the private server that housed them because they’d hinder Hillary’s ambitions? After all, the people who “deemed” these pages relevant have their entire financial future resting on Hillary Clinton being elected president.

Deleting emails now can mean a huge payout down the road. Incentives, matter, as much as many would like you think they don’t. And Hillary’s staff has the largest incentive to protect her anyone could imagine.

Lanny then writes, “Fact: To those who argue Mrs. Clinton's server at home was less secure than the one used by State, I answer: Really? Heard of Edward Snowden?” This is too cute by half.

Davis is implying that Clinton’s emails would be no safer at the State Department than they were at her house. There are two problems with this: 1. We know about her secret personal email address only because of a hacker named Guccifer; and 2. The law required them to be stored on State Department servers.

The only purpose of Clinton’s illegal email practices was to shield her communications from congressional investigators conducting their constitutional oversight duties, the national archivists whose job it is to preserve them and the taxpayers who paid for each and every character in them.

I don’t mean to single out Lanny Davis in this. His is just the last defensive piece I read before writing this. It easily could have been countless others who scrambled to explain away the reality of Clinton’s deception.

One common tactic employed by almost all of them is to claim Jeb Bush and Scott Walker did the same thing in their careers. It sounds like “Everyone does it,” right? The only problem is Jeb Bush was governor of Florida at the time, and therefore not subject to the Federal Records Act (the word “federal” is a bit of a giveaway there). And Scott Walker was a county commissioner.

Neither position requires compliance with the Freedom of Information Act. States have their own versions, but the federal law is fairly unambiguous – and every FOIA request that was returned without Clinton’s emails was a direct violation of that law.

So why would people who are otherwise sane (which doesn’t necessarily include Media Matters founder David Brock, who spent a few days on TV looking like a meth-head trying to recite the alphabet backwards to win a hit) go out and embarrass themselves to protect one person? Because there’s money and power in it.

The Clintons have left a wake of ruined lives in their path, but they’ve also created incredibly wealthy people too. Loyalty to the Clintons, especially if you’re willing to sacrifice your credibility to protect theirs, is rewarded as handsomely as disloyalty is destroyed. Those riches come with the caveat that you will be thrown under the bus should it be necessary to protect themselves, but if you make it out the other end unindicted, you will be taken care of.

You could end up broke and in prison, or you could end up a rich Wall Street banker or even an ABC News host. The possibilities are endless. All it will cost you is some integrity and a little piece of your soul. But if you’re inclined to serve the desires of that secretive, law-breaking, power hungry family, how much of either did you really have to being with?

ATF Calls Stripping Ban Exemption for AR-15 Green Tip Ammunition a "Publishing Mistake"

Yesterday I exclusively reported that common AR-15 "green tip" ammunition has already been banned in the new 2014 Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Regulation Guide, which was published in January. After the story received wide public attention, which you can read in full here,  ATF released a response Friday night at 9:12 p.m. blaming a publishing error for stripping out the "armor piercing" and ban exemption for AR-15 "green tip" ammunition.

On Feb. 13, 2015, ATF released for public comment a proposed framework, including legal and technical analysis, to guide its determination on what ammunition is "primarily intended for sporting purposes" for purposes of granting exemptions to the Gun Control Act’s prohibition on Armor Piecing Ammunition. This proposed framework is posted for public comment only; no final decisions have been made as to its adoption.

Media reports have noted that the 2014 ATF Regulation Guide published online does not contain a listing of the exemptions for Armor Piercing Ammunition, and concluding that the absence of this listing indicates these exemptions have been rescinded.

Please be advised that ATF has not rescinded any Armor Piercing Ammunition exemption, and the fact they are not listed in the 20 14 online edition of the regulations, was an error, which has no legal impact on the validity of the exemptions. The existing exemptions for armor piercing ammunition, which apply to 5.56 mm (.223) SS 109 and M855 projectiles (identified by a green coating on the projectile tip), and the U.S .30-06 M2AP projectile (identified by a black coating on the projectile tip), remain in effect.

The listing of Armor Piercing Ammunition exemptions can be found in the 2005 ATF Regulation Guide on page 166, which is posted here. The 2014 Regulation Guide will be corrected in PDF format to include the listing of Armor Piercing Ammunition exemptions and posted shortly. The e-book/iBook version of the Regulation Guide will be corrected in the near future. ATF apologizes for any confusion caused by this publishing error.

Most importantly, if you're in possession of AR-15 "green tip" ammunition, legally you're good to go in most states and not in possession of "armor piercing" ammunition. Because of the "publishing error" in the 2014 Regulation Guide, ATF has advised FFL's and others to reference the 2005 Regulation Guidebook, where the ammunition is still exempted.

Despite ATF saying there's "nothing to analyze here folks," this simple "publishing mistake" deserves scrutiny. Considering the Office of Management and Budget must approve new Regulation Guides, which come out approximately every 10 years, are difficult to change and take months to review, that's quite the "publishing mistake." As ATF references, the exemption for AR-15 "green tip" ammunition is in the 2005 ATF Regulation Guide. For this "publishing mistake" to occur, someone would have had to delete an entire section from the guide, which just happens to be the section about ammunition the Obama administration is currently trying to ban.

[...]
Somehow this "publishing mistake" looks a lot like "deleting" ammunition ATF is trying to ban without the consent of Congress or a proper public comment period as required by law. Also, keep in mind what ATF Director B. Todd Jones says about the 2014 Regulation Guide, that it "contains new and amended statutes enacted since publication of the 2005 edition, as well as updated regulations and rulings issued by ATF." Was this a "publishing mistake," or an updated regulation or ruling issued by ATF to quietly and unilaterally ban AR-15 "green tip" ammunition? It certainly looks like the latter.

I love these redundant replies to boost post counts for sig ads. /sarcasm

Schools are supposed to have security protocols that prevent unauthorized adults (kidnapper strangers or parents without custody rights) from removing children from school. But if those protocols are followed and an authorized adult is still not allowed to take their child, then it makes the school officials criminally liable IMO, but IANAL.

911 can be a way to have a LEO peacefully resolve the situation, assuming they are not fed a line of bullshit by dispatch that the unarmed, non-violent adult actually is, and they don't shoot them under color of law instead.

I find that this is strange that a school will not let their child go during a test upon the request of the parents, is this happening everywhere in the USA and it needs a call on 911 to help sort the issue out?
Wow, laws in the US are really weird. Whats the need to call 911 on just about that . Kind of a stupid thing to do .

What laws?

The school told the mother they did not want to release the child because she was in the middle of testing. But when police arrived, the school relented and turned her over.

Myers tells the Orlando Sentinel that emails from school administrators stated that “releasing students during testing would be disruptive and not be allowed.”

But after the incident, a school spokesman denied such a policy existed.

“We do not hold children if parents come to pick them up,” Shari Bobinski says, according to the paper.

The opt out movement has sprouted up across the country in the last year amid concerns the federally funded standardized tests are collecting personal data on students beyond how well they’re reading and writing.

WINTER PARK, Fla. – A Florida parent was forced to take drastic measures when her public school refused to release her child during a dispute over standardized testing.

Jacqui Myers says another mother with a child at Winter Park’s Brookshire Elementary School called her after she arrived at the school to opt her fifth-grade daughter out of standardized testing related to the Common Core national standards initiative.

“They’re not giving me my child, can you help?” the mother told Myers.

Myers, the mother of a first grader, is active in a group working to opt children out of state tests and was at the school counseling parents.

She called 911 to report that the school wouldn’t release the child.

The school told the mother they did not want to release the child because she was in the middle of testing. But when police arrived, the school relented and turned her over.

What a great story! I'm so glad it had a happy ending.

Hank is afraid of femal coworkers for life and adria blamed hank for telling the world he lost his job and would do it again (the vibe I am getting at the end)

OK... No one died, so it is a happy ending...

I was thinking more like, he has a job and she doesn't. Sweet sweet justice.

As far as hank being terrified for life, perhaps he should have been terrified of woman all along and he just didnt realize the danger but now he has gained a perspective that is more in line with the real world. Fear is a good thing if it is rational.

I knew exactly what you meant... I still hope she will see the light, whatever that maybe for her  Cool

But yes. Great ending. This could be a great screenplay. I wonder who could play adria's father...

Obama: All my emails 'are available and archived'

President Obama was asked about Hillary Clinton’s secret emails during his trip to Selma, Alabama Saturday and said he did not know his Secretary of State was using a secret account until he read it in the news. The president also noted he does not follow Clinton’s practice of secrecy.

“Mr. President, when did you first learn that Hillary Clinton used an email system outside the U.S. Government for official business while she was Secretary of State?” asked CBS’s Bill Plante.

“The same time everybody else learned it, through news reports,” Obama said.

Plante asked if Obama was disappointed to learn of Clinton’s practices. “Let me just say that Hillary Clinton is and has been an outstanding public servant,” Obama answered. “She was a great Secretary of State for me. The policy of my administration is to encourage transparency, which is why my emails — the Blackberry I carry around — all those records are available and archived, and I’m glad that Hillary’s instructed that those emails about official business need to be disclosed.

I agree with man made climate change - generally warming, but I am not really all that bothered by it.  I think science will solve the problems for us, and that turning off my lights when I go to the toilet will never make any sizable difference.

Reddit shouldn't ban any opinion that isn't illegal in my opinion, but they were probably sick of every thread being constantly spammed by climate change deniers or skeptics.  It's the same as Atheists getting involved in religious discussions, it's not really adding to the conversation, you have your opinion, good, now leave us in peace to chat!

Leave us alone in peace to chat may not be the ultimate goal of all of those warmists, forcing others to pee in the dark, to save a polar bear or two...

6578  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ‘Selfie Trend’ Officially Declared a 'mental disorder' on: March 07, 2015, 04:24:35 PM
The American Psychiatric Association (APA) has confirmed today that taking selfies is not just a ‘new trend’ but a mental disorder.

Officially known as ‘selefits', the mental disease is defined as a ‘compulsive urge to take one’s self and get social approval by posting them on social sites.’

The APA made the baffling discovery during its annual board of directors meeting in Chicago today. According to doctors, taking selfies is one way to boost self-esteem and fill in emotional gaps.

APA further explained three different levels of the mental disorder as following

Borderline selfitis: capturing self-images at least thrice a day but refraining from posting them on social media. Judging from the bombardment of selfies on our social media walls, it means 75% female and 50% male population are demented.
Acute selfitis: The symptoms for this level includes taking photos of one’s self at least three times a day and posting each of the photos on social media
Chronic selfitis:  Overpowering urge to take photos of one’s self  constantly and  sharing them social media more than six times a day
According to the APA, while there is currently no cure for the disorder, temporary treatment is available through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  The other good news is that CBT is covered under Obamacare.

How many off you has this Disorder?
If you have this disorder please try to avoid it.

The US media will not do any digging about this.  They all know she is going to probably be the next president and so will give her the same fawning treatment that they gave Obama in 2008 & 2012.  It is no advantage to have a free press if no one has the courage to use it.

The Clintons were dirty in the 1980s and 1990s, and a leopard does not change their spots.  She needed control to cover her dealings to help their foundation and being a lawyer she figured out a way.  Typical USA in the 21st Century - damn shame.

Thanks for all the background info.

We can't see a black hole directly but we know it is there for the mayhem it creates around it. The same is true with the press and hillary with their black hole. The body maybe missing now but we all can see the markings on the sidewalk...
