6581  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Sweden on track to stop using cash by 2023 on: March 24, 2019, 09:02:03 PM
Sweden is one of few countries in the world which is almost ready to say goodbye to cash. In Sweden usage of physical cash is very low already, same like in their neighbour country Norway.
Personally I'm not fan of this thing. Moving fully to digital money means that we give full control of our money to commercial banks. And they will know everything about us - how much, when and where we spend our money. Personally, I prefer to have some privacy with my paper cash and fully control it.
User above talked above possible electricity issues which can make lot of problems while having only digital cash - well, I don't think it's an issue in most parts of the world. But one thing is worrying - possible cyber attacks against banks. Imagine scenario when you go to supermarket to buy food and trying to pay for and your card simply getting rejected due to attacks against bank systems. What to do in such case?
I think that most of countries want to move fully to digital money eventually, or at least make usage of paper cash minimal. But I think that we aren't ready yet for it. I predict that jt can take at least 10 years to fully move to digital money in most of developped countries, I'm not even talking about third world countries which have more important issues to solve before thinking about digital money.
6582  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: My experience with faucet-sites on: March 24, 2019, 03:12:32 PM
Faucet is never a good way to earn Bitcoin, at least for general purpose.
I don't agree with you, in past faucets was a good way to get crypto, but I also remember people saying that faucets is waste of time back then. Few years ago it was possible to earn decent amount of crypto few years. Faucet rewards were much bigger and it was easier to claim because faucets were clean. Now faucet payments are much lower, faucets is full of ads, popups, shortlinks and difficult captchas. In best times of faucets I was able to earn something like second wage monthly with help of active referrals. Offcourse, faucets never was the most effective way to earn crypto.
That amount of bitcoin is not worth your time. Smiley

Keep doing something practical to earn money,if bounty possible.
Oh yes, bounties is a great way to earn money, and it's definitely not waste of time (sarcasm).
6583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: March 24, 2019, 12:04:06 PM
Missed one match yesterday again, never mind we have some good one today. Another change to get some.

Wales - Slovakia, Wales to win the match
Hungary - Croatia, Croatia to win
Cyprus - Belgium, Belgium to win the match
Netherlands - Germany, both teams to score
Wales - Slovakia bet looks a bit risky for me, I only made bet over 1.5 goals in this game. And odds for Belgium win is only 1.1, so it's not worth to bet IMO.
My bets for today games - Poland - Latvia over 2.5 goals.
Northern Ireland - Belarus home team win.
6584  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 19-Mar-2019] on: March 23, 2019, 02:09:00 PM
Why has Chipmixer being dropped from the latest update in the table or are you only listing Signature campaigns with open slots now? Sorry if I missed something, but I just thought it was a oversight on your behalf.  Wink

DarkStar_ always have spots available for very good posters with exceptional trust.  Wink
Probably it was deleted from table by mistake. On this thread all active Bitcoin paying campaigns are listed, no matter it have open slots or not. Campaigns which are full now are just listed under CFNP (closed for new participants) part of table.
6585  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Lock Threads on: March 22, 2019, 11:41:04 PM
Lazy people who don't bother to read that campaign is full isn't a reason to lock thread. As long as campaign is active, it's thread should be open. Active threadvis needed to discuss ongoing issues with campaign, like there was big payment delays in campaigns managed by Lutpin and people discussed what they need to do. As said above, campaign managers simply can make self-moderated topic and delete these applications themselves.
6586  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk was down for minutes. Was it a test for coming April Fool? on: March 22, 2019, 11:26:55 PM
Guys, I think you exaggerate April 1st a bit too much. Bitcointalk being down is so common thing and it don't have any relation with April Fools Day, especially considering that tyere more than week until it. As others have said, probably it was just DDOS attack or some kind of error.
6587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: March 22, 2019, 11:14:54 PM
What a win by England. I think nobody expected that they can score 5 goals against decent Czech Republic team. Portugal - Ukraine game ended with goalless draw. Portugal were much more dangerous in attack, but Ukraine goalkeeper made few great saves.
Nothing exciting on Saturday. Probably Georgia - Switzerland looks most interesting, maybe Sweden - Romania Cheesy
For example Australia is located in Oceania but they play their Qualification matches in the Asian zone. That's because the Australians qualified for every single World Cup event without many problems but they never played a proper football match because they ended up destroying most of their opponents in the qualifications. They would arrive to a World Cup without having played a strong opponent through the Quali. round and so they decided to 'move' to the Asian zone where they will face some better teams like Japan or S. Korea and play more competitive matches.
There is another reason why Australia playing in Asian qualifiers - it's just easier to reach world cup than from Oceania. Winners of Oceania qualifiers have always take part in playoffs against CONMEBOL and CONCACAF teams, while it's possible to qualify directly from AFC tournament.
6588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: March 21, 2019, 11:19:21 PM

Kosovo won their group because they were playing against Azerbaijan, Faroe Islands, and Malta, some of the weakest teams in UEFA. And remember that they were in the lowest division of the nations league, with the likes of Andorra, San Marino, Liechtenstein, etc.
I'm not saying that they are powerful team which will fight for spot in Euro 2020, but it's not bad mediacore team, for example today they played 2:2 draw against Denmark in friendly game.
I had a hunch Austria vs Poland will be a very low scoring fixture, and I think I'm going to be right.
Well, I had BTTS on this game Cheesy. But at least I made nice profit from other matches.
Some more games on Friday. England vs Czech Republic and Portugal vs Ukraine looks most interesting, Ronaldo is back to national team for the first time after World Cup.
6589  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: best wallets to use on: March 21, 2019, 11:09:11 PM
OP, when you're making threads like this one, put some effort. Now you just posted some links in random order without any details about wallet. It doesn't help to decide which wallet to use at all. You need to specify type of wallet (web, desktop, hardware) and explain which one are best to use. For example web wallets aren't recommend to use, while paper and hardware wallets are safest to use, desktop wallets is optimal for most users, but it doesn't gives maximum security.
P.S. FYI Bitpay and Bitgo isn't a wallets at all, it's crypto payment proccessors for business. And it's not Blockchain.info anymore, it's Blockchain.com
6590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A list of bitcoin forums to check out on: March 21, 2019, 10:58:14 PM
I've seen bitcoingarden and their UI is just like a copy paste from here and seems it's a dead forum with have few useful topics.
You can't say that's copy, all forums built on SMF looks more or less similar. You simply can't make forum which would look 100% unique when SMF is used on thousands of forums.
I searched top 10 crypto currency forums and they are the ones that came up in the searches
[/quote]
So, you just Googled top 10 crypto forums and just copied search results without even checking it. Much work done!

Guys, there are no need to compare these forums with Bitcointalk. Simply it can't be compared by history, number of members, content and etc. But some of these forums can be partial alternative to Bitcointalk, some are for people who interested in specific altcoin. There is also some good non-English crypto forums like Bitalk.org
6591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to watch out for newbie scammers (my tips) on: March 21, 2019, 10:34:45 PM
Well, your suggestions helps in most cases in general, not dealing only with Newbies.
1. Never go first when user don't have many positive feedbacks, use escrow in such cases. Even Sr. Or Hero members often don't have many feedbacks in their profile, so it's not safe to deal with them without escrow.
2. If newbie asking without collateral, it's 99.99% chance that you will be scammed. If higher ranked user is asking for loan without collateral, it's also very risky to lend him, unless he have very high trust score.
3. It's always recommend to use escrow, better safe than sorry. When dealing with Newbie it's must use thing, no questions needed.
4. Bounty managed by Newbie is big red flag, it's risky to join it. But even trusted manager isn't guarantee that you will get paid. Sometimes payments for bounty are issued by ICO team, not by manager, so risk to be scammed still remains.
6592  Other / Meta / Re: [RUIN THE FUN] Possible April Fools Ideas Of Theymos on: March 21, 2019, 09:07:53 PM
Still nobody haven't predicted this thing - maybe new rank after Legendary will be added? Cheesy
This is genuinely a great idea. Confine all the merit-beggers and plagiarizing-ban-appealers to one board and then put it on ignore.
If you believe this, you can click on this link, enter "50" in the "merit points" box and click "send"
Merit beggar!
Make a huge clock with a countdown. Every user has 15 mins to earn at least one merit otherwise they will be demoted to a lower rank when time runs out.
It would be cruel lol Cheesy. I'm trying to imagine all that chaos here and reaction of users. But if this thing would be implemented even just for one day, probably we would have lot of Merit abuse cases. And offcourse, hundreds of users who desperately need Merit coming to Meta and begging to get it Cheesy
6593  Other / Meta / Re: thebitcointalk.net and bitcointalk.to are FAKE phishing sites ! (edited) on: March 21, 2019, 08:56:58 PM
The bitcointalk.to has activated again. Made a post about it here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5122733.msg50240813#msg50240813

We need to report it to Google by submitting more reports! Link for reporting to Google provided in the thread.
Actually, they never been gone, this website always was active in recent years.
And I doubt that we can achieve something by reporting this website. In past already many Bitcointalk members had subimted reports about this phishing website, butvas you see it didn't helped, Bitcointalk.to still shown in Google search results.
6594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: March 21, 2019, 08:33:04 PM
First matchday and we already have big surprise in Kazakhstan - Scotland game. Maybe it's not sensation that Scotland lost, but 3:0 score is big. But from what I saw it's fair result, Kazkhstan were better today. In group with Belgium and Russia their chances to reach Euro 2020 isn't big I think.
Qualification tournaments isn't most interesting event to watch. Probably big teams like England, Spain, Belgium and etc will easily reach Euro 2020, maybe some of them will do that without even wasting points. When number of participants were increased from 16 to 24 it become much easier to qualify. But quality of tournament haven't dropped by adding more teams. Now I think in groups A, D, F and H 3-4 teams can fight for spots in Euro 2020, in other groups situation is more clear.
Oh great, yet another team that will lose 6-0 or 8-0 every single game  Undecided
We can't compare Kosovo with teams like Andorra or San Marino. In World Cup qualifiers they lost most of games by just 1-2 goals and they also won their Nations League group easily.

Interesting HT scores:
Austria 0:0 Poland
Croatia 1:1 Azerbaijan
Belgium 2:1 Russia.
6595  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Btc withdraw problem on: March 20, 2019, 10:49:54 PM
It's difficult to help you when you provided so little information. First thing that you need know that Bitcoin isn't fiat currency and it can't be sent to bank account. You need to use exchange to sell your BTC and get fiat currency (dollars, euros, pounds and etc). Then you will be able to withdraw your money to your bank account. Can you tell us where do you keep your BTC now? If you will tell us, maybe we will be able to help you.
6596  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BITCOIN-TALK FORUM PHISHING WEBSITE! BE AWARE! on: March 20, 2019, 10:39:06 PM
I thought you found new Bitcointalk phishing website after reading topic title, but Bitcointalk.to is old and probably most famous Bitcointalk phishing website. And it looks that this phishing website have very good SEO, because it's shown high in Google search results, sometimes even above of original website. There was so many warnings about this website, but I think it's nothing harmful that you posted this warning, maybe some forum newcomers wasn't aware about it.
6597  Other / Meta / Re: [RUIN THE FUN] Possible April Fools Ideas Of Theymos on: March 20, 2019, 10:21:25 PM
Few days ago I also thought about April 1st and theymos plans for it. Last year merit was hot topic and theymos made joke about new rank requirements. Now DT system is main thing in Meta in recent months, so I think that joke can be related to it. Maybe anti-DT gang will become DT members for one day?
I don't know, does theymos have prepared something for this day already. If no, I think we are making his task more difficult, because probably he will not want to use ideas posted in this thread.
Maybe this year I won't do anything, and that'll be the real april fools. Wink
Well, after you said this, it won't be a joke anymore...
6598  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Contest with $30,000 in GUARANTEED PRIZES now live! on: March 19, 2019, 09:40:24 PM
I mean if you are from the place where freebitco.in is from ( I don't know where they are from) you probably still can ask for bitcoin as well, don't know if it will happen but you can "ask" technically, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Their office is based in the British Virgin Islands, which is revealed in their emails.
British Virgin Islands is only place where their website is registered, there are no physical office of Freebitco.in in this country. As I understand, owner of Freebitco.in wetsuits is from US, offcourse I might be wrong.
6599  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Lost Ledger Nano PIN and REcovery phrase. Kindly advise how to access coins back on: March 18, 2019, 11:14:56 PM
If you don't remember PIN code and lost recovery phrase, it means that you lost access to your coins. I'm sorry to say that. You had to write down your recovery phrase and keep it safe place.
But are you sure that you can't remember your PIN code? Maybe you had it written down somewhere. I understand that you probably tried to search for these things in all possible places, but I can't suggest anything better. Without PIN or recovery phrase nothing more can be done to access your coins. It's your responsibility to to save or remember these things. Sorry to say that...
6600  Economy / Reputation / Re: I have purchased a IPTV reseller and they are fake on: March 18, 2019, 09:49:14 PM
I'm sorry that you got scammed. It always sucks to lose money in such way. There was few red flags about this seller - red trust ratings, locked self-moderated topic, no positive reviews. But probably you visited that thread without being logged in and didn't saw red trust and you also wasn't aware about other things which makes that seller untrustworthy.
And now forum is full of fake IPTV sellers posting from Newbie account. I'm not sure is it same person or no. They have different websites, but their writting styles looks very similar. They don't deliver IPTV playlist after payment like happened to OP. Or they are selling fake stuff - they have collected thousands of channels from public resources. Half of these channels don't work at all or stop working few days after payment was made. So, it's better to pay few $ more, but buy IPTV from trusted provider who gives good service.
  • Hide to guests threads posted by users with negative trust
Good suggestions, it should be implemented ASAP because many unregistered users get scammed on Bitcointalk, but I disagree about this point.
