661  Economy / Speculation / Re: My theory: no more significant price drops as we approach halvening on: January 09, 2020, 06:59:40 AM
Of course I could be wrong but since we are within about 4 months of the halvening, I think we have seen the last of the big price drops. There will be small drops due to profit taking but nothing significant.

There will be too much FOMO from this point forward for a drop below $7000 (I predict).
There are always pullback after big pump, there are still crashed that will happen in the future. We should know the market cycle, there is always a market cycle and there is no forever bullish and bearish trend. We are still in bearish trend but there are now market reversal signs in the chart. I do not know if the halving can become a catalyst or a factor that can spkie the price of the bitcoin.
662  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should we focus this year? on: January 09, 2020, 05:50:40 AM
We have different mindset and goals, I'm a trader and I want to focus in this current year in improving my trading skills and knowledge. 2019 is a bad year for mr because my win rate is low and I keeo struggling in trading that is why I decided to imrpove what I know in trading. There are still a lot of information that I need to learn and it is why I keep seeking differrent sources of knowledge in order for me to have an effective strategies.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Counted Or Estimate All Your Losses And.... on: January 09, 2020, 04:48:01 AM
i know a man that writing in all his gambling activities, from losses and winnings and he tells me that it made him sick sometimes checking how much he losses while the amount of winning is very little compared to others.

Absolutely, if someone has this real statistic of his own gambling activities then he will feel so bad to see the number of much money he had lost before.
Even if someone do gambling for fun only and lose small amount only every time he/she gamble but it can be a big amount if he/she count it in details.
This overall statistic may make us feel so bad and regret it, as we may think that "if I did not gamble, I'll still have xxxx money and I can use it for other better things"

I also do statistics on my past bets and gambles in order for me to become aware if I keep losing or winning in gambling. It is good to journal sometimes because it make us become a better gambler. We can also know our strength and weaknesses if we will keep recording our bets history. It is better to become aware than to just gambling without knowing our profitability.
664  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Altcoins- kita o lugi? on: January 09, 2020, 03:10:53 AM
Nakadepende kasi sa characteristics ng altcoins yung profitability niya eh. May mga shitcoins na tinatawag na hinde dapat natin bilhin. Kung gusto natin magkaroon ng magandang portfolio then we should buy altcoins na may potential. Paanong potential? Eto yung mga altcoins ma may mataas na volume at market capitalization at eto yung mga altcoins na hinde nadedelisted dahil sa mataas netong demand sa merkado.
665  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of crypto trading do you recommend with $50 investment? on: January 08, 2020, 02:47:20 PM
$50 is low capital for me and it is not preferable investment becauee the fees and commision can overwhelmed your gains but for beginners it is better to start with small capital than high capital. Day trading is not for beginners so it is preferable to use swing trading. Swing trading can be easy especially for those beginners in the market. A beginners can easily learn passive trading strategies than active trading strategies.
666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin can not become a global currency on: January 08, 2020, 04:49:05 AM
Hi, Gents,

I think there has to be a way to create a tracking system for bitcoin. Every wallet must contain ids. Otherwise, bitcoin can be always used for money laundering. If you want to launder money, you can find a cash seller everywhere. After bitcoin is bought, noone can prove whose bitcoin it is. I think this is the only think that preventing bitcoin to become a global currency. Do you think it would worth this much if it is trackable. I dont think so. There will be altcoins that work with tracking system and ids. They will become a global currency. Bitcoin? I think never. What do you think?
It doesn't necessarily have to become a global currency per se, since as long as borders and countries exist, their respective governments will put up their own currencies, fortifying the ones that are existing if ever, nonetheless, with the current widespread state of bitcoin we can almost say that it is a global currency since anyone who has internet can get a hold of this and some other cryptocurrencies. In the case of having it become a global currency there are much more complicated matters that would need to be settled first before higher-ups consider setting up a global currency.
Bitcoin will only become a global currency if most of the governments will accept and legalize it. Regulation is still hot topic globally, there are countries that are favor and there are countries who banned the bitcoin. The decentralized characteristics of the bitcoin is one of the factors why there are government who doesn't want to legalize bitcoin. They are aware that they cannot control the bitcoin because there is no one who backed it.
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Gambling on Mobile Devices on: January 08, 2020, 03:10:51 AM
There are lots of gambling apps on google playstore and appstore but many of them only place advertisements and don't really run bets properly. I prefer gambling sites that already have a good reputation and happen to make mobile apps for example sportsbet.io. Besides all sites already have costumize mobile so there's no problem if you don't want to install apps.
Indeed mate, there are now many gambling apps but the problem is the pop up advertisement, it is annoying and I cannot focus. I gambling in my smartphone but the thing is I do not use anymore gambling apps. I often use web surfaces in order for me to gamble, it is better to just visit the gambling site than to down a gambling app. The interface is more good so I prefer to just visit the website than to download an application.
668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price rising since 4 days ago on: January 08, 2020, 01:54:46 AM
Wow bitcoin reached almost 8 thousand dollars, honestly before this thread I wasn't sure where it was going, last I checked it moved to $7.8k and that was a good increase if you asked me, this new 2020 came with a huge increase that I didn't realized.

I was on holiday (new years) for a while and just came back so I wasn't really looking into the prices that much but today was my first full day at work so I had a chance to look at for the past few days it kept on increasing. Do you reckon it will continue to rise like this? I mean the $9.2k level is the biggest resistance we have right now and if we could break that I don't know how high it could get, all other resistances are not that big but for now, when we get there I am sure they will grow as well right?
I checked the price today and I also got surprised to the 20% rise of the bitcoin last 4 days ago. Those who bought in the bottom are really genius and skillful because they got bottom fished. The price is continually increasing and also the volume is increasing, it is a sign that there will be a market reversal that will happen. For those trader like me, it is what we are waiting for, the bullish market may come so we should now be prepared.
669  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Learn how to trade here in Forum? Actually you won't. on: January 07, 2020, 02:40:03 PM
670  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It’s very easy to trade Bitcoin on: January 07, 2020, 08:34:01 AM
It just a luck but not all times luck will save you in the market challenges. Trading bitcoin is not easy even though professional traders are losing because loss are inevitable. I often to trade bitcoin but my win rate is high, I lose small and I win big. I manage to make profit in bitcoin trading because I often to read books and journals that can help me to become a better and successful trader.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you learn as a gambler? on: January 07, 2020, 07:36:54 AM
As a gambler, I learned to have high patience and have right mindset. When I was new in gambling my mindset is just to earn money and I found out that I am wrong. I changed my mindset and my first goal was to enhance my gambling skill and also my strategies and gambling psychology. I can now also identify if an investment is worth it to take or not. We better stay to an investment with high risks and low potential rewards.
672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my house for buying altcoins need your help on: January 07, 2020, 06:19:54 AM
selling house to buy altcoin is really bad decision. actually you can borrow in bank if you think you can get profit. and if it happen, you must spend your big portion to bitcoin, because it have big chance to give you more profit than altcoin
It is really not a good decision to sell a house in order to just buy altcoins, the risks are too high we should be aware of that. I will only invest the money that I can afford to lose and not the money that I know that I will regret if I lose it. It is also preferable to make investment with bitcoins than in altcoins because the risks are lesser. Buying altcoins is good but we should make sure that we are buying potential altcoins and not the shit ones.
673  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency usage will boost economy or make it worst ? on: January 07, 2020, 05:21:46 AM
The question is: will the government allow them to avoid taxes? Of course they won’t. Here’s the thing: these companies would not do that because managing this huge sum of money would be hard as well as hiding it. Questions would arise if the taxes that a certain company pays decreases more so significantly then they would have a hard time answering these and they would face lawsuit along with their reputation that they should value very much since it carries the trust of the people aka the brand name.
Taxes really? most of the cryptocurrencies have the characteristics of being decentralized so taxes are impossible to implement because the government have no control on most of the cryptocurrencies. The only thing that the government can do is to create regulations and laws about cryptocurrency, right now most of the government are complying in international anti-money laundering in order to prevent fraud and scam projects.
674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: January 06, 2020, 12:30:10 PM
To use bitcoin you need to be technology aware. Majority of bitcoin users are millennial and elderly people who don’t have much knowledge about technology are quite away from bitcoin. I would say 6.2% is still high; there are countries where awareness about bitcoin is less than 1%.
That's right , in my country user cryptocurrency under 1% .
almost 60% of the 1% is still a lot cheated on ponzy under the guise of cryto.
We cant really have that precise percentage on each country though and i dont know how they do able to know on such numbers.
6% is really high if we do talk on entire population and as said some countries do have even more lower. Its quite understandable though
since we are just 10 years old and counting.Adoption is still on the move and expect for these numbers to rise up.
Awareness is the main problem why there are only people who are using bitcoin nowadays. If we have better education about bitcoin, cryptocurrency and blockchain then the awareness will grow. As for my country, it is about less than 1% who are using bitcoin and for me it is very low. The government should create a regulations wherein they will create seminars and courses that can increase the awareness of the other people about bitcoin.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They want your Bticoin. Don't fall for this new scam, it's too real on: January 06, 2020, 11:05:13 AM
We should remember that scammers are in everywhere, so we should be careful especially if there is a stranger try to connect with us. Scammers are becoming more smarter than before, they will create a fake identity and they will try to reach us in order for them to steal the bitcoins that we have. If there is a people who try to reach with us and offering a project, we should be think smart because it is really something fishy.
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good sign for market on: January 06, 2020, 07:44:05 AM
The current price of the bitcoin is still consolidating so for me it is a good sign nut if the price breakdown to its support then it is a bad sign. The current price is still resisting in its major resistance but if there will be a successful breakout and not fake breakout that will happen, we will see a strong upward movement of the price of the bitcoin.
677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of ICOs on: January 06, 2020, 06:42:15 AM
I think you missed some main reason why ico today are becoming dead.

1. Exit scams After raising millions of dollars they will eventually turning to scam. Or they saying that funds are hack etc.
2. Dead project coin becoming dead and don't have demand in market

Those two are both main factors why ICOs are now dead. Investors are now aware on how risky is the ICOs investment because of the scam projects where most of the developers are only focusing to gain profit and after that there is no improvement that will happen in to the project. The risks in ICOs are not worth it after all so we should learn from the mistakes of others in order for us to not make investment in ICOs anymore.
678  Economy / Economics / Re: World Economy and war situation and crypto on: January 06, 2020, 05:42:15 AM
Whats Ur take on that? War situation USA Trump Economy and crypto Currrency? Do u Think that current situation have any impact on crypto?

When there can be uncertainties, conflicts, wars, problems, turmoil, chaos and similar incidents, there is a big possibility that Bitcoin can go up. I said possibility and not a guarantee. Maybe because there can be some people who will be moving their wealth to safe havens like gold and cryptocurrency can be providing. However, there can be some difficulty on measuring the impact of this recent conflict between the USA and Iran because neither countries are huge users of Bitcoin. Still, there can be some short-term impact and hopefully coupled with the coming halving this can be helping push Bitcoin to a good jump.
We don't know some possible outcomes regarding to the status of world economy. There are some  uncertains things, conflicts, and some incidents between the status of world economy and the war situation because there are some people are bad thinkers and have a bad intention because they all know is wealth and money. It is very usual that there are some people when it comes to gold and wealth is going different in characteristics.
The conflicts are rising, the threats between other countries are increasing. If we will use fundamental analysis, we can have a data where we can say that the war that may happen can affect the whole economy and the cryptocurrency market is included. Of course if there is a war, I'm sure that the investors will start withdrawing their money in the market that can lead to financial crisis.
679  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do traders spend crypto when they can? on: January 05, 2020, 03:45:15 PM
There are traders who spending the money that they earned from their trades and there are also type of trader who do not spend the gain that they earned. I'm a type of trader that I do not spend the cryptocurrencies that I earned from trading. We have different goals and mindset, my goal is to acquire more cryptocurrencies so I do not prefer to spend it. The cryptocurrencies that I get from trading, I using it as a additional capital in order to increase my portfolio.
680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if a bitcoin trading is worth trusting? on: January 05, 2020, 01:56:50 PM
Hello all,

I am new to this whole bitcoin thing and know very little about it.

A few days ago I got added to a Telegram group which is run by a bitcoin & binary trader.

I am being proposed 100% ROI, with the trader claiming 95%+ success rate.

If I invest $500, I will get back $5000 within 5 days.

So, my question is - how do I know if this is legit or not before investing?

Their fees would be 15%.

Thanks
It's likely 95% scam, there are already many types of fraud. before that you need to look at the history of the group and who the trader is, first you have to understand is as much information as possible you should know the information in crypto because the mode of fraud is very numerous and varied.

Scammers often target new users so be careful, you can also ask the members here or people you know in the crypto world to get advice.
100% ROI is looks like a scam project, there are always risk so there should no project that 100% guaranteed the ROI. Fraud projects are keep increasing so we should not just put our money in an investment if we do not know what are the information inside in it. Fraud projects are most likely promising 100% return in just days or even weeks and for me it is something's fishy.
