661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 06, 2023, 08:47:10 PM
It looks like the fight between those two is a match, but I bet on Inoue there, because I see more strong potentials that he will win over his opponent. Although I'm not saying that he will compete against a weak opponent.

Since Inoue easily beat Donaire in their 2nd fight and clearly he has improved a lot in that fight and also visible in his last fight as well, the fans have no confidence in Tapales anymore and this should be his main motivation to excel in his training and surprise everyone that underestimate him. Though it's hard to believe that he can actually beat Inoue, he has the chance and it could be his way to have another fight against him and it will surely be a great benefit for him because of the huge payment they will get. This should be his aspiration for his determination to win this fight is really needed.

Of course, a fighter has always that kind of motivation and that's what fuel the best in this sports. Even Canelo mentions that in every new fight of him. He has to shut down his detractors with a great win and proved that he still has it.

In this case though, many have underestimated Tapales not because he is the more known fighter between the two. He is a huge underdog because he is facing on the best super bantamweight that we have seen in the last 10 years that clearly dominate another great champion in this division in Fulton and then simply clean up the bantamweight division before moving up.
662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Warming warning of the BTC, ETH & the LTC Cryptos upcoming halving on: December 06, 2023, 10:55:33 AM
You might be regretting the missed opportunities by overlooking Bitcoin initially.
Possibly, most of the investors who missed out on buying Bitcoin at a lower price might be hesitant to make a move when prices drop again.  The fear of experiencing the same regret might paralyze those investors from taking advantage of potential buying opportunities.
The reality part of it is that most persons fails to take advantage of replacement at where they found losts instead they are overwhelmed and hindered as a cause of their past occurrences. Opportunity is likely to come either always or once awhile but some person's are so weak that they don't realize when a similar opportunity nocks in again instead they lives to live the situations of "Had I Know" over times.
Those who where opportuned to undertake Bitcoin since its inventions at 2009-2012 where lucky and doesn't meant those who got into the industry at 2013-2017 ever lived to regret it maybe the nature of the time they embraced the Bitcoin industry was as late for them to make profits. And even at today's, investors who got into the Bitcoin digital trading and investment are proudly proefficient in making profits because the increments value of Bitcoin is exceedingly going appreciable to the Bitcoin investors.
So while leaning your regrets and excuses not to had invested years back, investors who came into the industry of yesterday are very much comfortable with the say that "I have come though late but never late". Profit in businesses doesn't decay so I am to take part of the profitable advantages even though I came late.

And to put it in another perspective, there's no such thing as being late in the market, even for the majority here in the community who came in 2017, no idea what is going to happen or what is happening, (the bull run), could have regret their decision not to hold and just sell everything.

And in the next run, they are wise enough to save and most likely the pandemic could have help us to just save what we have at that time or invest the money into bitcoin as a hedge to what is going on the world. And so we make money at 2021. So just rinse and repeat that strategy and we will be good without any regrets or thinking that we are late joining the bitcoin market.
663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Christmas Song + Video on: December 06, 2023, 08:18:22 AM
I produced a Bitcoin Christmas Song + Video in case anyone needs some festive Bitcoin vibes this year...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-oWaxxMqmY

Nice song and lyrics, like that the picture of Hal Finney is in the background and of course, who wouldn't notice Satoshi's name in the piano.

Although the song could have find a good jolly mood in my opinion, feel like it is very sad melody though.

But in any case, it's good that we hear something different about Christmas and Bitcoin and what we should do about it (stacking sats).
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 05, 2023, 10:58:26 PM
^^ Prograis lost though is a close one against Josh Taylor, but for a brief moment, Taylor is the unified 140 lbs, so we can say that Prograis gave everything he got in that game he just fell short against a prime Josh Taylor. Taylor though has no more belts at 140 lbs, his last belt was taken about by Teo Lopez already.

So this is still a good match-up, Haney the more defensive boxer and obviously more agile in this fight.

Prograis not that much of a movement, but he has the power to knockout out Devin Haney here.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sympathetic gamblers looses itself on: December 05, 2023, 10:21:58 PM
Don’t be too caught up with some of the losses you see people take online. Many of those gamblers are paid to do what they do and their emotions aren’t always genuine. The ones that are and I’m sure there are plenty of them are likely heartbreaking to see, but that’s why people stream their gambling efforts, so they can receive gifts from those that watch.

Yeah, I remember one women gambling who become viral in Tiktok and even have been in one thread here. I'm just thing that the whole crying was really stage by the women so that he can get more views and obviously get money.

It's nature to us, sometimes there are soft hearted person here who is a gambler and see that someone losses big money and you can see their reaction in their face. It might be real or not, but we felt compassion and as if we also felt how big the money he or she has lost. But the thing is that instead of being negative about it, let life continue for us and don't be emotionally attached to anything we see that we can relate like in gambling.
666  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: AVERAGE JOE, DO YOU WANT IN BITCOIN DURING THE CURRENT BULL MARKET? [READ THIS] on: December 05, 2023, 09:41:47 PM
If we are talking about books, there is a good thread about it by @yazher: Blockchain Books, Bitcoin Movies And Documentaries (Updated). (Anyone can bookmark it).

I have nothing against any books though, it's really good for someone who has started his journey in bitcoin or crypto in general.

But for me the best resource is this community, you can even just browse the forum without creating any account (if you don't want to), and just traverse the multitude of topics about everything. Of course, it's better if you can create a account and communicate and ask if you have doubts and questions.
667  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: December 05, 2023, 08:49:41 PM
If you look at the current price of 41/42k then the profit you can get is 10%, maybe not that high but if you use a lot of capital then the profit will be more pronounced.
but it does not rule out the possibility that bitcoin will close even higher.

Current price reaches $44k in the last couple of hours, although it has decline to $ 43,700. However, we don't know if $45k will be the ending price for bitcoin as per AI. With how the FOMO is right now, we could be reaching around $50k.

But then again, we shouldn't get be relying on our AI tools to make predictions. Will be glad to see it happening, but I guess there are more speculators at the beginning of the year that pointed out that we could be around $40k-$50k at end of the year. So it's not a magic number that anyone hasn't seen or predicted, just saying.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Include Or Always Include Gambling In Your New Year's Resolution on: December 05, 2023, 02:26:56 AM
Only 4 weeks before we welcome a new year and new year for many is the best time to promise changes in their behavior, career, and habits, and many gamblers take the New Year as an opportunity to try to change something in their behavior or lifestyle and they do it through New Year resolution.

My question do you include gambling in your new resolution, and what's your New Year's resolution about gambling?

Let's talk about it.

Yes as least in my case, however, it's very difficult though to removed such vices. Maybe just reduced it a bit might be a good start. Although I believed that if a person really wanted to quit gambling for good, regardless if it is part of their New Year's resolution or not, then they can still quit it.

Or maybe there are old school gamblers here who still wishes and go with the traditional writing of a New year Resolution.

And that includes their gambling habits and other vices and stop it at the start of every year.

670  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits $40,000 for First Time Since April 2022 on: December 04, 2023, 06:44:39 AM
BTC made more than +100% this year, it was an amazing journey that doesn't seem like stopping anytime soon. Imagine what we'll see after the ETF.

Right, lowest lows is $15,500 from last year when we have the FT collapse. And now it goes more than 100%+ close to maybe 140% already.

So yes, there's a lot of optimism on the approval of Bitcoin Spot ETF, and if we had such one approval before or after the block halving, for sure we will see a huge increased in the price and then we welcome the bull run.

So let's just relax though, good to see it breaking $40k, but we will be waiting what will be the all time high next year and then 2025 for that massive bull run that we all have been waiting again.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 04, 2023, 12:00:07 AM
That's what we hope for as backers of Tapales here, I mean he is a huge underdog but we all know that he has the mental fortitude to stay focus and believed in himself that he can win against Inoue in their title fight.

And another thing that motivates him is that we wanted to create his legacy as a Filipino boxer.

If ever he will win here, I think the will be the first Filipino to be undisputed champion in the modern 4 belt era. So that's enough motivation for Tapales here. His name will be etched on Philippine boxing history together with the legends of their lineage.
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos after the shutdowns of mixers on: December 03, 2023, 11:45:32 PM
Numerous bad news and developments unfolded this past week, mainly impacting privacy and decentralization. The recent crackdown by United States authorities on well known mixers has serious implications for users and even businesses or projects. Mixers were originally designed to keep users anonymity, and the current situation appears to be so harming for both sides and a slap for bitcoin users as well.

The worse news, is mixers will no longer be allowed in Bitcointalk for any kind of promotions or even discussions. Along with the risk of getting banned because of that means ; Mixers are dead here in BTT.

It's Theymos decision to ban crypto mixers here, but it doesn't mean that it's the end of the road for them, and so your title is misleading, there's no shutdown of mixers, they will continue to exist, not just being promoted here.

Now, you may be wondering about the connection between mixers related issues and casinos. The thing lies in casinos capability to facilitate untraceable transactions, enabling scenarios like depositing and withdrawing without a trace, potentially leading to money laundering.

No, casino's don't facilitate untraceable transactions because of KYC so I guess you are wrong in assumptions again.

The important question here: how will casinos respond to this new landscape, and what measures will they take and implement to face the challenges posed by recent developments? Probably many users will join casinos for an alternative of mixer.

Again, how can it be casinos become the new mixer? The criminals would rather uses fly by night exchanges, and if you are not aware of, there are a lot of exchanges that was established to do that kind of thing, not casino.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: December 03, 2023, 11:05:53 PM
Ryan gets the win by KO. There was nothing too remarkable about his performance but he was able to execute his game plan effectively. Duarte was at a disadvantage because of the 143 lb catchweight. His style was very basic and Ryan had no problems landing shots. After this tuneup it seems like Rolly Romero might be next for Ryan. Both fighters are at a similar level so it should be an intriguing matchup where we will see if either of them is ready to step up to the elite level once again.

Duarte could have gone up but he chose to get up when the count is over, there's a lot of boos going on because Ryan is running to much I think that's the improvement in Ryan's game, a good defensive stance to run too often and not very eager to engage, a deviation from what he did against Gervonta, not a great performance but a win is still a win I guess The Golden Boy will finally get him a title shot after this win.
I'm waiting for the press conference so we'll know where Garcia is heading now after this win, in his interview in the ring he wants Rolly so lets see if he will get Rolly.

I also don't understand why Duarte didn't get up on time, maybe his legs was not still there so he didn't bother to beat the referee's count.

If you look at the replay, his legs where gone after the first or second hit that he got from Ryan. And then he goes down and take a knee. The referee was right there in front of him and counting loud and he wasn't responded when he hear the 8 count and chooses to go up at 9 wherein it was obvious that he wants to take some more time to recover.

Ryan got the W is that's what important for him. You can see that his trainer if very happy. I mean we have seen James losing his best so now he is 2 out of 4.

Garcia winning and then last week Charlo winning against Benavidez Jr.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Oscar Duarte (December 2) on: November 30, 2023, 11:56:01 PM
^ There's another interview from Bernard wherein he said:

Quote
“I will see how Ryan looks and then make my personal decision on whether he should fight again.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/ryan-garcia-lashes-out-golden-boy-hopkins-why-you-disrespect-your-only-superstar-fighter-right-now--179606

You can read Ryan's rant about it and decide who has a point or who is just hyping the fight.

As far as promotion goes, it is still done by Oscar, even though he is a partner of GBP, Bernard usually is in the sideline and he let Oscar do all the talking during promotions.
Well, here's a video of that

Ryan Garcia RIPS Bernard Hopkins & De La Hoya over criticism! LASHES OUT at final presser!

Check the look on Oscar Dela Hoya's face while talking about that, it's pretty obvious that the two camps are headed to split and Ryan wants out of Oscar's The Golden Boy Promotion, he cannot stand the two managers of The Golden Boy, it's just good to see that he is very motivated to get back winning and hopefully, this is the fight that will bring him back, so he can humiliate Bernard and Oscar.
Can't wait to see the fight happen and the interviews after the fight.

And this is what Oscar has to say: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ckwOoKAzuWA

I do believed that the split is imminent in the future for Ryan and GBP. There are even interviews that Ryan is now cool with his former trainer, Eddy Reynoso and Canelo Alvarez.

But I do like what Bernard says though, "boxing will call your bluff".
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 30, 2023, 02:18:18 AM
Not really embarrassing. The Kings have been playing great basketball since last year and they continue to prove it this year, and the Warriors on the other hand really kinda suck early this season, especially Klay who seems to have lost his impact to his team.
Let's see if they could turn the table around and improve eventually.
It's also good to see for both of this team face in the playoffs again.
Sometimes I wonder how the Kings have matured and improved these days.
The result of the game against the Warriors was an excellent answer to prove this.
Maybe the Kings don't have the same level of experience as the Warriors, but I have no doubt that Sacramento will improve and in the future, they are a young team with great potential.

I also confess that it would be very interesting to watch the Kings x Warriors face each other again in the playoffs.

Once the Kings got Sabonis it was clear they became the better team. It’s almost like the Kings were built to exploit the weaknesses of the Warriors. Their lack of speed and size… Sabonis bullies the entire team and Fox shuts Curry down. The rest of the players like Monk and Barnes put them over the top. It’s time for the Warriors to do whatever is necessary to keep Steph and sign Giannis.

Klay could be the key there, but then again, this season, Klay is very disappointment for Warriors. Yeah, he had that one game wherein he give us the buzzer beater against the same team last November 1.

But not this game, the Kings can't be deny, who is guarding Sabonis? it's GPII so it's a total mismatch and he just bully everyone in the inside. Looney and Saric can't do anything about Sabonis either.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney (9th of December) on: November 30, 2023, 02:03:08 AM
I wish this match happened with both fighters equally young. Right now this fight is tilted towards Haney because he is clearly at the top of his game. He is young. He is very athletic and hungry. Prograis could have much higher chances if he was as young as Haney. Although he is still a great boxer who can give Haney a good match and he has also got those powerful punches, I think Haney can easily manage to maintain a good distance and win by points.

Haney, for me, is never really an exciting fighter compared to Davis who can deliver KOs all the time but he is a technical yet also boring fighter but definitely great with his footwork. He the kind of boxer who punches his opponent for the reason of just stopping their aggression in the ring and he is happy to see his points go up.

Since Regis is also a great boxer, the result will probably be the same as how Haney ended half of his fights which is by Decision.

I share your opinion that Haney isn't an exciting fighter, if that's even a word that describes him in the ring. I love boxers who are real fighters. I love watching fights inside the ring. I don't discredit Haney though. That's his style and strategy. He's part of that group of boxers which include Mayweather whose only goal is to win. If it takes constant running, clinching, dodging to do that, they don't mind. There are boxers though who punish their opponents, go for the knock out if possible, and even apologize if the fight is boring. These are the kinds of boxers that I admire. Haney isn't that kind.

Yes, his style doesn't suit most of the boxing fans here, but it is effective for him so we should respect that. And he is the undisputed champion at 140 lbs and lineal I believed, so again, his very style did bring him to become one of the best for this division and I don't think he will change it, that's how his father build him.

And with this fight, Regis has the advantage in power and Haney is going to be tested how good his defense it against this kind of fighters. Regis in his part doesn't recognized this so called defensive specialist so we will see what style is going to win here.
677  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BETWINNER Stealing my money, totally SCAMMERS on: November 29, 2023, 04:25:18 AM

how can I move it to scam forum?
im new here and i dont know how to do it

and i picked this casino because of their markets, not all of them have the ones they actually have. indeed i dont know any other with their huge amount of markets
thats why i deposited in the first place

It has already been moved and I think the mods have moved it, if you haven't. I understand there might be a reason for you to choose that casino. What I meant was that we have big casinos here, who have their announcement page. Most community members prefer only those casinos as in the event of anything wrong we can deal with them accordingly.

Yes, perhaps the OP didn't know what the announcement page or board here: Gambling.

But then again, maybe the OP is really new and so he is just exposed with this kind of websites. However, for us, who have been here for so long, we know where to look for reputable casinos that we can play and not be scam.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 29, 2023, 03:16:53 AM

There's still a bright light when they won games, but it's against not a tougher opponents. Now they were tested by the Nuggets without their best players, and guess what the result it, they have lost the game. For sure this is going to hurt them more.

It's really hard to have committed players that's why they should consider not always trading their players nowadays because they may end up like this and with their current state, there will be no doubt that they cannot get to the NBA playoffs with this kind of performance. The Clippers should consider fixing their plays and strengthening their chemistry because it is such a shame that they can't even win a game from a team that resting their star players, what more if they meet up in the Playoffs in the first round?

That's why it's a risk for this teams, the last time we have this kind of big players in the same roster is with the Nets, unfortunately, it still involves Harden. Durant leaving GSW another 2 rings, then team up with Harden and Kyrie to build a solid team. However, there is no support or role player for them. So in about 3 years, all of them are out of the Nets already.

This could be a similar scenario for WB and Harden. If they don't produce numbers that was expecting of them. Maybe in the next couple of years they will be on the trade block as obviously, it's not working with the Clippers team.
679  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dump market potential? on: November 29, 2023, 02:49:43 AM
The price's increased from last month but it isn't impressive enough to attract crowds. How are investors going to have confidence investing in bitcoin if they're watching the price. I can't say there's going to be a dump but there's a chance because there hasn't been one recently. If the market's lose value it's going to ache ppl if they're forced to sell.

I think there will still be another potential dump, the market is rising very fast like this which is usually not natural, there are still several things to look forward to next year.
until we feel that the market will be in full bull condition.
For now I still doubt it.

I wouldn't say that it isn't impressive, just look from the timeline, last year we are hitting lowest low. So moving forward 12 months later, we have more than 100% gains already. So that for me is impressive already.

We did see some decline but we were able to recover back again, pushing to $37,880. As for the price rising fast, sometimes when there is FOMO that really happens to the market. But we should look for the long term, it's too early to sell and make profits, we still have to look forward to the block halving.
680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Original USD value of a BTC transaction on: November 29, 2023, 02:26:46 AM
Is there an easy way to view how much the transaction value in USD was at the date/time the BTC transaction happened ? I remember it used to be visible on blockchain.com if you hovered over the BTC amount but seems they have removed this option.

Not sure what you mean? I took a random bitcoin address from the net here: https://unblock.net/bitcoin-address-work/

And view it on blockchain here: https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/addresses/btc/3Mrdyvm4Dnc4Dii4xDpEtbTsQTEUbZiQQs

As you can see, there is the sats and fiat in USD transaction there.
