The gambling addicted person will make the gambling as their new year resolution all the time.The gambler who are doing the gambling with some intervals will not consider the gambling as their new year resolution.Because they won't affected by the gambling financially,this was the root cause not get addicted to the gambling.The important thing in this was the gambler should understand their addiction to the gambling.So he can prevent from the loss of playing gambling.If the gambler loss huge money,it also included some changes in their lifestyle.

In the main time I haven't concluded my results for 2023 so before I will make a new year resolution, I will have to check back and front where I did well and where I didn't do too good. Then just include the less accomplished in the new year resolution. For gambling I got a little result in performs how I gambled, my skills in gambling are very minimal so my next resolution might include to improve my skill in gambling

Well at some point we have to put everything under check and in most cases also we have to make attempts at what exactly we want as a new year lifestyle and how we intend to moderate our lifestyles and way of doing things, and if one discovers that gambling is one of those areas that we need to moderate and have a resolution on and how we intend to achieve that, most times, alot of forks tend to battle with what we know as gambling addictions and they are making efforts to recover from them, but then too we have to know the level at which gambling addiction could be handled with new year resolution and how we intend to achieve such level of freedom through new year's resolution.

Many times, we have made attempt to change alot of things around our lives using the year-ending cycle and the beginning of another year as the point of change, but much more also we have to know that change is within and at much even if the individual decides to make gambling as part of their new year resolution, it still will fall down to one thing that is the willingness of the person to truly changes that situation along the way.

I have been writing new year resolutions in the past even as a gambler, but I have never included anything relating to gambling in any of my new year's resolution, and this is because, there is absolutely no need for that.
New year resolutions like the op explained is some changes or new thing a person wishes to stop or start doing for a better living in both finance and live in general, for me, I have nothing to change about gambling, I am not an addict to gambling, and neither do I waste too much money on gambling, I am a very conservative gambler and I am very comfortable with my attitude and gambling perspectives, so absolutely nothing to change or add to my gambling habit, so, there is no reason to include anything related to gambling in my new year's resolution.

If actually there is anything I would like to include in my new year resolution for 2024, It would be that, God should help me to win much more than I lose.

When I was an addict, I have not thought about making changes to my gambling habit before until I lost so much and came to my senses that gambling have nothing good to offer me than fun, and in the process, it can take money from me, or I can gain. Just set a specific goal to make more money the legal way and have the discipline to achieve that. No, because most of our new year resolutions are not fulfilled for life; we only fulfill them for a short period of time. It's like we're just fooling ourselves when we have new-year resolutions like that every year.

I have no reason to include gambling in my New Year resolution I have a short list of New Year resolutions and many of these are about investing and my health concerns but I never include gambling, my gambling is manageable so there's nothing to change.
So far I have a good average in completing my resolution it helped to improve my character and my actions I have to deal with the most important aspect of my life in my New Year resolution which is why it is short and gambling has no room on it.

You reminded me of myself in the past. I can say I do not want to lie in the coming year, but you will later find yourself lie. But there are something that you can make that can help you. Example is to determine to do better in exam by next year. You can challenge yourself to achieve some goals in the coming year. That is just it. But in gambling, I do not think this will work unless the person has realized that gambling is not a way of making money and that is just it. This can happen at anytime. The chance that an addict can change and not gamble anymore or gambling responsibly may not be part of his new year resolution but happened just within  certain month in the new year or the next.

To hell with resolutions, at this time everyone is getting ready to leave the past year behind and start making plans in the coming year to make a change to be better than the previous year. And in fact what they plan is not in accordance with what they do, they promise that they will become a responsible gambler and be able to control themselves over these activities. But unfortunately that only lasted for a short period of time, after which they returned to their original behavior of "gambling recklessly". They really can't appreciate what they have planned before, they are never consistent to do the good habits that they have recorded in a new year's resolution.

A resolution without action and consistency is just nonsense. They are only able to plan, while in practice, the results are zero percent. So in this new year's resolution, if we can't do it consistently then don't ever make too many plans. it's better that a plan is simple, but in its implementation is maximum.

Without a doubt, stages must be set, since as gamblers we have negative stages that can be resolved with good annual planning. In my case, I make few changes in terms of scheduling increases in deposits, since I always maintain the minimum deposits per casino.

What I do have established for 2024 is to return more frequently to the game of poker, playing at least some tournaments on the weekends, either in a crypto casino (difficult at the moment) or Fiat.

New year resolutions are good and in fact very good because it guides you into what you want to achieve the coming year, it sets you into a level of achievement which could either be to drop certain things you are doing that is setting you backwards or it could be you have been trying to add something more to what you are doing which will help you in getting to the level you want, like if you have been procrastinating on something that will be good for you so you may resolve to stop procrastinating.

So regards to gambling, someone who have been having bad gambling habits, gambling responsibly and losing money  can have that resolution to stop but if you have been a moderate gambling that is not seeing it have any damage to you and you are having fun from it, you may not see a reason to have a new year resolution on it.

If I am not wrong, I never took any resolutions regarding gambling in particular because I always have been in control of my gambling activities so it didn't affect me in any way but New Year resolutions generally don't last for weeks so better don't wait for the every new year to make any change if you intend to do.

I’ve done this before but trust me it’s only effective on the following months or weeks after new year then you will come back to your old habits of gambling especially if you keep reading or discussing gambling topic in the forum.

Gambling is a fun thing that many people play just for fun purpose for him New Year or Old Year doesn't matter he can enjoy gambling anytime.  But one who aims to earn money from gambling can make a new resolution for the new year considering his current year situation, it is entirely his personal matter.  But I personally don't gamble for any fixed period of time.  I gamble because I like to enjoy gambling.  But if there is some win with it then it brings good rewards along with the fun which adds to the fun

Not anymore, I knew myself all of these times and there's no need for me to include in my new Year resolution. I'm all good and gambles whenever I want and there's no need to make myself feel guilty about it. I'm happy and not that guilty at all that I am a gambler unlike the others that have been affecting their lives with gambling.

Maybe one thing is about wishing about good luck and winning most of the bets that I'll cast because if not, there's actually no need for me to do so. I try to include it every time and every time I fail it.I fail because I get mad at some point of gambling for example not longer than yesterday I lost a ticket because of a game with 1.23 odd in football betting and when you get higher odds correctly and become mad when you lose because of such low odds.

Despite these facts though which bring to make a new year resolution to stop gambling I tend to forget facts quite easily and one big win in some slot machine and I am totally immersed in gambling again,so overall for me it does not work.

Yes. It's personal like I shall promise to improve my winning rate as my new year's resolution. This will be a big change if I can do it but next year, I may have to promise the same thing again.

I don't remember anymore what my new years resolutions are but since the time I got a license to drink my new years resolution is always to promise not to drink too much. I get to drink too much just chatting with my neighbor on the porch.

Resolutions require extra level of discipline to keep, It is like an agreement between you and the future, but you do not need to wait until the new year starts before you do away with habits you do not want next year. Today is a good time to start so by the new year when making the resolutions, it will be easier to keep.

Luckily for me, I am a very responsible gambler, so my resolution on gambling will be to try as much as I can to remain responsible gambling next year.
