661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XCP] Counterparty Protocol, Client and Coin (built on Bitcoin) - Official on: February 04, 2014, 09:50:58 AM
Damn... and people burned over 2000+ BTC on a protocol that has this big gaping hole?

The idea to throw $2 million into the toilet proves that XCP was stupid from the very beginning.  Ship of fools.  Happy sailing!
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: February 04, 2014, 09:23:01 AM
in case you cherish your account.
I don't.  Fuck you.

contributes to current low price of MSC.
The current price of MSC only has to do with the over selling of shares by JR and Grazcoin who dumped a load of shares into a thinly traded market.  I'll bet 99% of MSC holders remain very optimistic about the future and progress.  Even those selling JR and Graz - have not lost faith in the project.

You anticipate the notion that the price has gone down because people have less belief of success today than at some earlier time.  I challenge that notion.  Unloading a lot of shares into a weakly traded market caused the price drop - not slow development.

I am going to tell you one more time, shut the fuck up and go buy more MSC.  What the hell kind of moron buys Dogecoin and XCP anyway?

663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 300 BTC Coding Contest: Distributed Exchange (MasterCoin Developer Thread) on: February 04, 2014, 04:53:24 AM
I'm finishing up my last couple days at my day-job, and my first day full-time on Mastercoin is Thursday. I can't wait!!
Thanks!
Thanks JR - this is absolutely cool as a lizard's belly!  Glad you are able to do this.  I am sure we will see great results from the efforts.
664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: February 04, 2014, 04:48:16 AM
In stead of opinions, I will just list some facts here.
Here are some facts: you are a pain in the ass.

If you don't like the pace of Mastercoin, you are permitted to fork the protocol and run yours at any pace you see agreeable.  Please stop accusing the team of insufficient progress and go build your own thing if you are dissatisfied.  You will learn later it is a great insult to suggest those guys who have been busting their ass late at night are not getting far enough, fast enough for your tiny investment to perform to your expectations.  I assure you, quite a good number of people here are 'all in'.  Have you seen what Johnston has done?  He has worked very hard tirelessly to advance the community.  Now shut the fuck up until you understand what you are saying - and then still shut the fuck up.

Last word, ...
promises, promises.  I wish we had your 'last word'.
665  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: KnC Miner Neptune Batch 1 - Ordered on day 1 on: February 03, 2014, 10:11:08 PM
Well the guy claims he sold one, and one is left for which 30 people are asking as of now.

But on repeated ask he refuses to do escrow (without specifying with whom), and doesn't want to meet in person.

I offered 14BTC.. I dunno but fairly suspicious that anyone refuses escrow because 'he doesn't trust the concept'..

Total scammer.  Bullshit extraordinaire.  Although, I'll bet at least 3 or 4 suckers sent the BTC to this guy.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: Safe Currency on: February 03, 2014, 06:16:16 PM
Please prepare yourself for the next bitcoin spike.  Probably will reach $2000 in a week or two.  Since the Ukraine is collapsing under central bank incompetence, there will soon be an exodus to bitcoin.
http://money.cnn.com/2014/02/03/news/economy/ukraine-currency-politics/index.html?hpt=hp_t3

Is there actually any word or sources on whether Ukrainians have actually been buying Bitcoin?
just whispers of hyperinflation today - mass exodus from national currency to follow.  I am providing this warning early.  In two weeks once BTC goes over 1500 (two weeks) you can thank me with a BTC tip later.

Well I don't listen to wild speculation, but I hope you're right, but I'm very sceptical.
Don't listen to me - go read the news.  Ukraine isn't some tiny little no-where-ville.  The fucking place is about to collapse and it is a big deal.  The bank is on the brink of disaster and money flight will be triggered soon.  Cyprus proved BTC is a safety currency in these kinds of crises.  Cyprus and Ukraine both have a heavy Russian influence.  Check back here soon to learn if I was right.

Epic FAIL

you get an A+ for effort
You don't get an A for effort. You don't get shit for effort.  You only get something for success.  When did we start paying for 'fail'?  Forget that.  The next guy will actually pull it off and then he will get something.  WTF?  Did you get a trophy at your school for getting a D and trying real hard?  Fail = Fail.  No cigar.
671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: February 03, 2014, 03:13:44 PM
However, I don't see MSC price going up short term because of these new upcoming releases eMunie and Ethereum. Lots of people will buy into that. This Max coin, which is another crap coin is getting lots of hype also. This context offers best Mastercoin buying opportunity since the Exodus address IPO.

Let people sell their MSC to buy eMunie.  Who cares?  This only reduces the price of MSC - it doesn't subtract from the value.  The value of the Master protocol lies in the functionality which can be built rather than the current price on the MasterXchange.  Because the MSC market is so very thin and inefficient the price means almost nothing.  A few jittery speculators can take the price from .25 to .10 in a few days.  The only people who care about that are those who are forced to liquidate a MSC position today.  However, those who will be holding MSC for more than 1 year don't give a damn what the price is today.  In one year, the true value of MSC will start to show.  The price will reflect the value of MSC then. Today, the price is merely wild speculators jumping from one ship to another without regard whatever for the underlying technology.

Look at NXT - garbage.  Solves nothing at all.  The 'green' solution.  lol.  Energy consumption via mining is very small.  Nobody is leaving the bitcoin for eco-reasons.  Yet, some good marketing and Wham!  Market cap of billions.  Speculators are easily moved by hype.  But that doesn't effect how fast the coders at MSC can write good code.  People come to these forums screaming and yelling about urgency - to pump up their position and the price of their current bet.  All of these projects will take time to build well.

If you want to make a quick buck - go tell the world how important Dogecoin is - then sell next week.  Otherwise, think of some way you can contribute to making Mastercoin more useful.  Bitthink isn't doing anyone favors by standing around yelling 'hurry'.  Contrary to what he says, MSC is advancing at a very good pace.  His failure to understand this only affects very few people and most of those a mere speculators playing with various alts.

672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: February 03, 2014, 02:19:53 PM
I'm just saying they could be hired full time long ago and then the progress could be much faster.

This is what the board did after a couple of bounty projects. Back in november, they hired the best elements (almost all).

Can you imagine that almost all the DEV were already working and decided to drop their jobs and bosses to switch to MSC. It's not happening in 1 day. So it took a couple of weeks to regulate their situations and switch full time to MSC project. End of March tachikoma & his buddy/colleague will be 100% available.
Impatient idiots like BitThink want this to happen overnight.  I think the opposite of him.  MSC made insane steps forward in the first two months.  JR was very excited by the progress from day 1 and I was too.  Rome wasn't built in a day.  BitThink just wants it to be released overnight.  This shows he doesn't understand software development.  That isn't how it works.  If MSC had 25 million in the bank, they could spin up a staff of 10 overnight and pay out all the old work contracts.  But that is not necessary.  What's the hurry?
673  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: KnC Miner Neptune Batch 1 - Ordered on day 1 on: February 03, 2014, 10:59:24 AM
Hello
I bought 5 of the Batch 1 Neptunes on day 1 and was considering getting a refund on 2 of them?
I have payed all of the UK import taxes already.
How quickly would i get my refund does anybody know?
I'm thinking if i get a refund its a waste of a Batch 1 order spot.
I'm open to sensible offers if anybody wants to get inline for some Batch 1s?
This is my email if anybody wants to talk burrrtingz@gmail.com

I've got a bad feeling about this one guys.  New guy has hottest miner available now.  Seems too good to be true.  Right?
674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: MasterCoin Buyer/Seller Thread on: February 03, 2014, 10:24:54 AM
Actually there's no code, let alone solid code.
Your credibility is zero.  There is code.  This proves your understanding of the situation is totally corrupt and biased towards complaining.

They built four implementations - to rigorously prove the protocol produces the same result no matter who is interpreting the rule.  This took some time.  They ended up removing shitloads of ambiguities which could become problematic later.

Now, with their experience getting stung by the bitchy public, they aren't going to release the DEx in such an 'alpha' state.  But rather, they will make the DEx a little more consumer ready on the release date.  This takes time.

If you say one more time that the coders are not working hard, I am going to personally fly to your city and kick your ass.  They are all working double-overtime to make this thing work and raise the price of your miserable holdings.  You probably only own 3 MSC.  Now shut the fuck up and help by contributing to the project.  Whadda dick.

actually I am one of the investors (a small one) myself.

These "new gen" coins seem like the biggest piece of scam that has existed this far.

Yes, it sucks
Only a fucking scam.
It's been long talked about here that NXT was a scam and nothing more.  Why should anyone be surprised they got delisted?

Look, this is racist against Chinese.  Please don't make fun of our good friends in China who have some difficulty with the English language.  So un-nice; very rude, much impolite.

678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Question to Devs: Can the btc network be adapted to multicurrency transfer? on: January 29, 2014, 04:17:22 PM
Would it be possible to build an layer on top of the blockchain which allowed for the transfer of various currencies, both crypto and fiat, through the blockchain?  I am guess you would still be required to pay a fee in BTC... unless it were somehow possible to keep track of the various transfers that take place in a block and then offer the fee to the miner in the mix of currencies that were transferred.  I am not asking about an alt coin here, it's really not about the coins themselves but rather the transfer protocol.  Perhaps it would have to be an alt coin - but one that was decentralized an is supported by a reward system, unlike Ripple Labs.

I think there is great potential in the money transfer aspects of bitcoins, but why does it have to be limited to BTC itself?

Just wondering.
This is presently being built now.  Please look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=265488.0 or mastercoin.org.  The new decentralized exchange will be running in a week or two.  Presently, it will do BTC and MSC.  You can trade these on the test platform today! In about 6 months I expect Euro and USD to also be included.

Its not a new idea.  JR Willett had this idea more than two years ago.

Mastercoin runs ON the bitcoin blockchain.  Mastercoin is going to enhance the already awesome bitcoin.

Very good to hear you are going out of business.  It is about time.  But I doubt anyone will buy this.  I doubt anyone will have such a low conscience as you that they could continue to operate such a bullshit scam.  I really don't think you will find a thief as low and dirty as yourself.

But, nevertheless, I am delighted to learn you are done with this scam - ya dirty lying cheat.  Could you please inform us of your new Mastercoin ventures so we can beware from the start?  I'd like to get the word out before you sucker others out of their money.
680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCoin: New Protocol Layer Starting From “The Exodus Address” on: January 28, 2014, 08:23:12 PM
People may disagree, but the Mastercoin Foundation is doing a terrible job protecting investor's interests, and keeping the hype up. The last development update was 11 days ago.
Thank god.  'keep the hype up'.  This is not the job of Mastercoin foundation.  That is the job of pump and dump speculators.  If you like that sort of stuff, you could go to NXT and Etherium.  Better yet, Dogecoin.  Mastercoin has a different kind of plan which does really care about speculators pumping (hype) a market for a quick exit.  Mastercoin is a long term deal where hype doesn't really concern the foundation and its members objectives.

See ya later!

Dont be so naive, hype is the result of good marketing, and it is required for the protocol to succeed.
Dont be so naive, hype is hype.  Mastercoin is being built on something other than that.

"and it is required for the market prices protocol to succeed"
