I surmise that there will be some specific time and point
for teaching financial education to children. But the priority
I believe is to simply guide them properly in money matters
as they grow. I think there is no simple method to this
approach whether its in schools or at home, but that does
not mean it’s irrelevant to still nurture their minds about
financial matters. Its important to make them be aware of
the impact of monetary value in life and how much more
salient it is to even earn it later on. Mathematics was the first
subject I can recall that somehow introduced me about money
as a young child, it probably is still the same with todays
teaching standards in schools.
Whatever you teach your kids - do it properly because they won't be able to unlearn it that easily
Also teaching them proper manners and proper etiquettes are also very important . I don't like kids misbehaving and yelling on the others

Yes I have read about this sad and tragic incident that happened in Indonesia. i don't really follow football but sport of any kind should be played and watched with a good sportsman spirit because nothing is important  than anyone's life. similar incident happened in Pakistan and Afghanistan cricket match in Dubai but things got under control by the authorities.
Same here. I’m not a fan of football and I don’t usually bet on it but with this tragic event causing a lot of lives to end, my sympathy to all those bereaved families. It’s a sad truth that there are really fans who can never control their emotions and end up into riots. The reason that those police officers fired tear gas in response to those fans who are involved in riots. I just hope the same incident would not happen again, not only in football but in all types of sports.
This is a very sad incident - but I have a feeler maybe this is plotted by the external factors to create unrest in Indonesia
But the loss of innocent lives is a real sad story - may God bless the departed souls.

Pretty tough to be wanting parents to teach their children proper financial education, knowing that a lot of parents don't even know how to simply budget. Hence why it's necessary for financial education to start at ages 16 or so at school.
Well, as a parent, your teaching will not be effective because you should serve as a role model to your kids. Otherwise, they will also follow what they used to see from their own parents. Since kids these days are keen observers, then teachers and parents should always act the proper way so that the children will learn from them eventually particularly in wise spending and using of money so that they will come to understand the value of money.
the best point I have gained from this forum is to be very careful in teaching kids -- because it is very difficult to unteach them what you have made them learn.

For little children, simple trading of toys is money. Or winning marbles. After all, consider cards - poker - playing for matches or toothpicks. They are all money when traded.

Why limit the idea of money to "paper" that has to do with banks? Bitcoin is money that is there to teach people that money can be anything that can be traded and has value or perceived value.

If children were taught at an early age that anything can be money, and that money is tied to value, they would have a head start in life. It's like "buy low, sell high" with the added point that buying should be trading rather than cash and cards, only.

Cool
All this things are good for children.  But the most important thing is for parents to go about it in the right way. Children always care about their needs and when they understand that they can achieve it with money it becomes a problem that they will target how to get money from their parents.
as I read above - and still it is on my mind.
Someone said - be very careful in teaching the kids anything - because it will be very hard for them to unlearn it.
I totally agree with it. Think before you make a move and you make it - just stay firm
665  Other / Off-topic / Re: R.I.P Asian Football World : Indonesia on: October 03, 2022, 07:52:04 PM
let's grieve for this tragedy for the umpteenth time it happened just because of football, this should be a serious concern from the Indonesian government to take care of this problem, actually no one can be blamed in this case because maybe everyone knows this riot also started from fanatical supporters so making provocations and the like, giving sanctions never creates a deterrent effect and there will always be riots like this again

a life looks very cheap in Indonesia and it must be stopped so that no more lives are lost just because of football, it needs serious handling in solving this problem and the government must also take a firm stand to solve this problem
sometimes we dont understand the game which have happened behind the incident
Do you think it was already plotted? There might be some external forces involved to make this thing more disastrous and to weaken the country.
What are your thoughts about it - I don't think fans did that - I am sure there were goons in the crowd.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 03, 2022, 07:43:26 PM

Sania Mirza is the one to bring tennis to limelight in India and throughout her career she is the No.1 Indian Tennis player and during the peak of her career in 2007 she managed to reach 27th World rank and no other women players from India is able to reach it. There are more young players, and we should also think the difference in competence between the year 2007 and 2022.
One thing I have noticed is there is lack of consistency and hard work in the people
Most people don't want to work hard. These stars and those who make a difference go an extra mile.
Sania Miza brought indian tennis to the limelight but after her marriage her career took a nosedive. She married a Pakistani cricketer and that is a big clash in her career too,
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 02, 2022, 07:56:32 PM

Mens tennis is currently much better and we can see the future there,so many good young players even with Alcaraz above everyone currently someone will show up. While women tennis dosent look promising at all . Swiatek looks currently like she will dominated for years to come with no actual competition

Swiatek is currently the best on the women side but I don't think she will be able to dominate the field in a similar way that like Serena Williams did. There are some young and upcoming players (i.e. Raducanu) and on the women side always a lot more surprises happen in grandslams than on the men side.
I don't think so too, especially in women's tennis, it's somehow really hard for one or two players to maintain the spot on top of the leader board and dominate most tournaments they participate in, Serena Williams was an exception, I doubt Swiatek can do as good as Serena.
Men sports is obviously much better than women - that is true
But some of the women tennis stars have made their name because they came so far. Like only one tennis player Sania Mirza has made her mark in the tennis history.
But then again I agree men's sport is always better
668  Other / Off-topic / Re: R.I.P Asian Football World : Indonesia on: October 02, 2022, 07:49:40 PM
sport should be simple fun, a time to be distracted, the very opposite of violence... or tragedy like that heartbreacking.

Today, even if I am living far away from such country, I read the news in an Italian newspaper and was shocked by the number of people involved in this tragedy. This remind to me the same tragedy that happens many years ago in Belgium https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heysel_Stadium_disaster were 39 people dies Sad
Oh God what a terrible news it is.
I have google and watched what has happened. i feel sorry for what has happened - it is true that sports should be fun and not violence but sometime fan loose control - it happened too in asia cup match between Pak vs Afghanistan - after Afghan lost the match there was so much violence in the stadium but Dubai police controlled them

Teach Children Financial Education

... But be careful. It's difficult to un-teach it if you teach it wrong.

Cool
that is true - some of the skills they inherit from their parents.
They too copy their adults and also the daily routine and attitude of the parents create their mindset
670  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does the planet really need saving? on: October 02, 2022, 06:48:05 PM

Outside of a few people here and there, most of us live only 100 years, if that. Since the saving of our health doesn't seem to increase the saving of our life very much, maybe we are totally going about it in the wrong way.

Cool
Planet - our society - and our home ==everything thing needs saving
And its a good practice - I like those people who dont waste water. I have seen people who have mangers putting the sink waste water to the toilet so they do not flush clean water.

All right. If everything needs saving, what does it all need saving from? Some form of destruction that we don't really know much of anything about, and that we can barely see or find? What is this destruction?

Isn't the destruction death? I mean, what good does saving the planet do for you after you are dead? Do you think that you can feel stuff in the grave, or after you have been cremated? Are you really smart enough to know what is best for your family and all the other families in the future? And once you are gone, do you really think that you will be able to feel proud about yourself because you helped someone?

People don't even know the laws of physics well enough to know if they are doing a good job of saving anything. And it is even more difficult when a person has to sort all of the propaganda and lies out of it to know what is real.

The best anyone can do is prepare his children for a life that helps them in their little piece of living that they do. Forget saving the planet. At least forget it until you can save yourself from death. You can't do it, anyway.

Cool
I fail to understand what you are talking about - but that is true we all need to save a little to save the planet
Some people are so concern about the planet that they even care for their carbon foot prints.
Even I know someone - they walk bear food. Even on airports and in the aircraft - I dont know why but they do
671  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I am seem to be jobless and not bothered. on: September 26, 2022, 04:11:07 PM
This type of mistaken perceptions affect a lot of people, not only you. At my place, it's common to be viewed as an internet fraudster if you don't go to work, but constantly on your phone, especially a laptop, and are able to live comfortably without seeking assistance from others.
It becomes awkward and awful how people in this current era after being told how the Internet have made the world a global village, how there are more opportunities online than in our locality, how people could work from the comfort of there home and yet, they are glued to the idea of, "one needs to leave the house or there home at a particular hour and back at a defined hour" to be considered employed.

It's just way too backwards and discomforting. It tells how the string the traditional way of doing things have gripped such a person. It makes them adamant to change and when things don't change, they break.
I have read somewhere
When you don't care about what people think about you - you have reached to the dangerously awesome level of independence and peace - live your life and enjoy to the fullest.
672  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teach Children Financial Education on: September 26, 2022, 04:07:24 PM
Financial education in indeed necessary to inculcate at a prime age because it will help children understand and use their financial skills effective both in management, budgeting, saving, investing and also in giving. But I think this financial education is imbibed in most subjects taught in schools such as economics, accounting, business studies, social studies and well as civic education.
Teaching child their financial freedom is very important
When they are done with school they realize that school didn't teach them what they needed to learn from there - some parents make an effort to teach their kids the skills other do not bother at all.
673  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does the planet really need saving? on: September 26, 2022, 04:05:14 PM
The modern green initiatives don't do much to actually stop climate change so the question to ask is whether people should feel comfortable paying 2x-3x their energy cost in order to reduce carbon emissions by using renewable/cleaner energy sources. And by doing so, making only a fractional impact on global average temperature increases over the next 100 years. Most people wouldn't even pay 1.1x their current energy costs even if it made a more sizeable impact than what the projections show. Russia, India, China, don't have any intentions on reducing their emissions any time soon.

The green energy hippies would rather have you freeze to death in the winter than emit carbon pollution.
Ofcourse the world needs healing
WE need to take care of the land and water and take care of the carbon footprints too. But people are getting very selfish and they have no time and energy to think about it.
674  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The effect of drugs abuse on youths on: September 26, 2022, 04:03:36 PM
The effects of drugs abuse on youths  is  the number one can destroyed thier  healths.Drugs can use to human illnes ..  But big mistake if applied and used it in dosage and using without knowlegde.
For the youths effects can cause damage there mental health  that's why all of us  be   ware to our teenagers every family....to avoid and  they will not go in a wrong way thier life.
The important things is to  teach them how and what are the causes so that they will aware all youths not to use any drugs .
Drug has great influence that it won't be easy for one to stop taking it. I believe people who are addicted to drugs are aware that too much in take of drugs is not good for the body,  but because of the influence in drug they can't just totally quit taking of drugs. People are aware drugs is bad but they still don't care about the result.
I have heard that now these days many youngsters are taking drugs and it is making them crazy
sometime it lead to very horrible situation and they dont even know what they are doing. Later when they come back in their senses they deny that they have done this crime
Is this correct?

Use Ethereum. After all, isn't Buterin at least part Russian? As Bitcoin drops, Ethereum is holding its own. And there are other tokens that are doing better than Bitcoin.

The point is, it isn't Bitcoin that is important. Rather, it is the blockchain.

Who will you accept as 3rd party escrow in your Btc transactions? - https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin/escrow/.

677  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2017, Ukraine, do not miss the chance! on: September 26, 2022, 12:00:23 AM

As I said, your understanding lacks a lot. Seems like you can't even imagine what it means to have your cash backed by gold... so you don't have to be burdened with carrying all that metal around with you.

Come on. Wake up and smell the coffee. Take a look at reality. Or are you working directly for Zelensky?

Cool

They switched from gold to Zelensky. As I understand it, you are taking a risk. You can lose your job as a troll. The topic could not be refuted, and therefore they jumped to a story about money in gold. For such mediocre work, you definitely won’t get gold. Putin already has a hard time with money, and don't even dream about gold. Already in Russia, a printing press for recruits was launched. In this regard, I have great doubts about the backing of the ruble with gold. Soon you will not have room in your pockets for a pile of depreciated rubles. And dollars will not be transferred to your account, be sure. Success.

There isn't any Ukraine advantage. Russia won't stop until the whole world is shut down, if that is what it takes.

Russian nukes are far superior to all others... even those of the US. And the Russian system is in place so that if one nuclear missile fires, the rest of them will fire automatically.

Beyond that, nobody knows. If the US has away to stop Russian missiles and nukes, we don't know. If Russia has a way to stop US missiles and nukes, we don't know.

There is no Ukrainian advantage except to get out. Why get out? Because when the nukes fly, Ukraine will be the first to go.

Cool
Ukraine has been luckiest - they have got support of whole of EU but now everyone seems to be taking care of their own problem now.
They should have done this earlier
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 16, 2022, 03:19:04 PM

India already has a very bad start in this match and they are 16 for two wickets down.

Both Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana are gone cheaply making India women's team in deep trouble in this decisive T20 match. I think today's is an England day and they will win this match.
This match is going to be an easy win for England. India have 79 runs in 17 overs losing 7 wickets. Ghosh and Vastrakar on the crease. Somehow England will wrap India within 100 runs. This is an easy target for England. From the very beginning England have taken control of the match.

Well, the Indian lower order did really well to pull the score to 122 runs. Some really good batting by Richa Ghosh and Pooja Vastrakar  made Indian women team score some what fighting score. Also the Indian bowlers did well to defend it and took the match right to the 19th over. Even though Indian women team lost the match, but i will give full credit to them for trying their best.
Indian women team did not come slow this time.
Last week I watched a movie - about the Indian women captain and how despite of having limited funds she managed to pull off. They have a lot of potential and they will surly come back stronger.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 12, 2022, 11:49:28 PM

Sri Lanka's target was too big? I cannot call the target of 171 runs a big target. Because against an experienced and strong bowling lineup like India, Pakistan was able to win despite batting at a target of 182 runs. Pakistan could have won the target of 171 runs if their batsmen had performed well.

Babar Azam has been out of form since the start of this tournament. So a good performance was not expected from him against Sri Lanka. But I expected better performance from Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Nawaz. If these two players could have played well then Pakistan could have become champions.
I agree - some people are just commenting
171 run was not a big target - but Pakistan do not have strong batting line like always and they not lucky yesterday that is why they lost the cup
The target is reachable, because in 120 balls 171 runs required. There is early wicket fall and further there is a good partnership, but the runrate isn't maintained. This increased the pressure at the end overs. Particularly from the 12th over onwards Pakistan tried to take chances and nothing gave hands.
Pakistani team played okie - but Sri lankan Team  played really well
But winning and loosing is the part of the game - Pakistan came so far that is itself very admirable.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 11, 2022, 11:42:17 PM

There is no doubt that Pakistan had a 100% chance of winning this match based on my prediction. As a matter of fact, I never thought Sri Lanka had a chance to win this final. However, Sri Lanka played a really good game. Moreover, I do not think that Pakistan deserved to win this match because of the way they played in this match. It appears that Pakistan lost its way towards the end of both innings, in my opinion. A lot of runs were given away towards the end of the first innings, and they were unable to control the run rate in the second innings either, as they also gave away a lot of runs towards the end of the second innings. I would like to congratulate Sri Lanka on their achievement.
Pakistan played well and survey showed that 75% people were supporting Pakistan victory.
But the luck was on Sri lanka side. The Sri Lankan fans will be very happy on winning the match.
Congratulation to Sri lanka - well played Pakistan
