Your most powerful miner has 24576ghs and cost 538838$. But if I buy 96 base miner cost 383904$ with same hashrate. is completely illogical. in a market where the buyer does better price higher.

When you buy 96 base miners the space taken up is 384 U's, when you buy the 24.576 GH/s unit the space taken up is only 34 U's

Why I will buy 100 chips (ghs 1600) for $ 30,000 or 60000$? If 7 simple miners have hashrate of 1792ghs for less than 28000$
http://virtualminingcorp.com/shop1/index.php?id_product=14&controller=product  30000$
http://virtualminingcorp.com/shop1/index.php?id_product=18&controller=product  60000$

The base unit is a great buy now.  You should buy all you can.
662  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [VMC] Official Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion on: July 22, 2013, 11:04:21 PM

Forgive my ignorance. But I'm interested in the product and do not understand something. If based mining costs $ 3,999 and has a hash 256ghs.
Why is the expansion of 256ghs costs $ 4,999?
Why is the expansion kit same pintura of Avalon module?

Thanks

Great price on the Base unit at this time.  We are still in the process of engineering our board and our ASIC chip and do not have pictures yet.  eASIC is doing the engineering of our chip using their Fast Turnaround Process.

Ken: please fill in "asset FAQ"  on bitfunder. Important for nrw investors.

My guess is that since he has his funding now, he's going to focus more on getting things running, rather than trying to attract new investors... unfortunately

I will work on getting that filled in.

I'm confused, why is AMC registered in London?! In what looks like a South Ken postcode, although prob a boiler room/virtual office addy. Even so, why London?

AMC is not registered in London, it is registered in Belize.  It just has a London address for mail.

It seems emails sent to tender@activeminingcorp.com are not getting through.

Code:
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Delivery to the following recipients failed.

       kslaughter@axs.net

Final-Recipient: rfc822;kslaughter@axs.net
Action: failed
Status: 5.7.1
Diagnostic-Code: smtp;550 5.7.1 SPF unauthorized mail is prohibited.

...but my email IS authorized. It was solicited by kslaughter himself!
It's been 20 days and the tender@activeminingcorp.com email address is still bouncing emails making it impossible to successfully tender AMC shares for AM shares.

...

Again, as an FYI this indicates a problem with *your* DNS records- missing SPF records. It's not a problem on Ken's side.

"An “SPF Unauthorized mail” error indicates that the server the email was sent from is not in compliance with the Sender Policy Framework (SPF). The domain administrator specifies what outgoing mail servers can be used to send messages, and the SPF rejects messages that the administrator does not authorize.

If you have senders attempting to contact you that are encountering this error, they will need to contact their domain administrator to determine what servers can use to send messages from, and then update their accounts with the correct server information."

Send me a PM and I will sent the email for you.

Any idea when Ken is doing the next batch of BTCT -> Bitfunder transfers? I've been waiting for a couple of days now.

See here:

Hey Ken. I know it's only been 24 hours or so, but any chance you received my AMC shares on Bitfunder? information was sent via PM and email Smiley

thanks buddy!
He usually does the transfers once a week, the day before divs are paid.

I will be doing them in the morning.

I will get them done today.  Super busy here now.

BTCT has an option to re-invest dividends with a maximum cost-per-share you can set.  Not sure about BitFunder though.

Same for BitFunder although I think someone mentioned that such option was not working that well. Anyone else can confirm that?

I had this set up back when it was AMC and it never worked.  I always had to go in manually and buy.

On bitfunder make sure you set the maximum price or it won't work.

We are about a week behind on the Avalon prototypes, due to us having to get some bitcoins converted.  I was dragging my feet due to the price of bitcoin being $68 at the time.  Everything is looking good for the end of August for the Avalon clones.  Looks like our 20,000 chips are going to be about two weeks late from what I have read.

@Κen - so all BTCs have now been converted to USD?

No, Working on it now.

Exactly.  Speculators provide liquidity and are necessary for any market.

I agree 100%.

I hope you realize that you are misquoting ChefBorjan here.   Roll Eyes

Sorry, I fixed it.

Fantastic news

Thank you for the update.

News: Ken is flying out to California this week to talk to eASIC. Also this week, we will be getting a finished prototype of the Avalon board around the 23rd from an engineering firm. This firm will also be building the entire device once the board is approved and the chips arrive.

Maybe we should wait to see who gets to market first, they don't have it and we don't have it.

Maybe you should have thought of that before incorrectly announcing the "World's Fastest Bitcoin Mining Chip".

I don't know that it was incorrect, I checked their specifications in their thread.  The specifications in their thread
showed that their chip ran at a maximum of 10 GH/s.  They have not announced their chip in any kinda of Press
Release nor have they announced on the front of their website.  All they have done is put a little note in the back
of their news releases.  Why have they not put it on their front page?

I have quite a bit of shares in ActM, but I also have 11 Jupiters ordered as well.

The chips are 100GH minimum.

Merc is 1 chip
Saturn is 2 Chips
Jupiter is 4 Chips

The chips are rather large (55mm x 55mm Package) the last time I checked. They released specs on their website recently.

Each one of their "news" articles is basically a "press release" and it is stated pretty clearly....

Yes, I had to dig for the information.  We will see how it turn out.

Now, they can't beat this can they?  "World's Fastest Bitcoin Mining Machine" 24.576 TH/s.

Not unless they make a machine with 246 Chips.

Yes, and tbh I wonder how they are going to cool that big chip.  I can see why they are going to need liquid cooling.
I am up for a good race.
It is generally considered a bad idea to badmouth competition, especially if you don't have a working product. AND claiming to have the fastest mining machine? 24,756 TH/s for over 500.000$? After looking at the specs for your product, the space occupied by that monster and the heat it would produce you would need a complete serverroom with approx. 30 kw  in cooling....  Wow. Everyone who can afford that can easily produce his own asics with a little more investment.

ALSO: Self moderated topic? Meh, smells like scam.

I don't think I was bad mouthing the competition.  Yes, It does required a lot of power and cooling.

Who is selling 300 000 + shares on BTCT.co?

 Shocked

See my post above.

Icebreaker looks like a good candidate for director.

Yes, I would think so.

It's my understanding that:
  a) He will only sell remaining unsold shares when funds are needed.
  b) Shares will be released at market price after a sufficient warning is given.

As long as the above two stipulations are followed, I can't think of any reason why the market wouldn't be active.

Ken, I know your busy, but at some point it would be good to clarify your plans on the above and release the amount of shares that are remaining to be sold. (edit... meaning relay to us the quantity that are left)

I personally can't wait until the never ending IPO is over and the market can be left to do what it will do.

The shares  now released are all that are necessary for the remaining funding that I have posted before.  The NRE, which I believe is the most important and most critical, to the success of the project has been funded.  The time to get this funded was also critical as eASIC has a ton of business for their 28nm design.  So to reach the NRE funding we used funds allocated to other uses and now need to make up that funding by offering the above shares, or by pre-order sales and payment for those sales.  This is a great time for the company and all of its shareholders.

With the box symbol I was aiming for an abstract representation of VMC's product, the whole idea of adding or slotting in extra hashing cards. Getting rid of the "E" whilst not overcrowding the symbol is a nightmare though, although this version is certainly an improvement over my first rough design:

The Fast Hash miners are expandable via boards. What about a vertical stack of thin box-type layers as a symbol?

As we all know, Design is a process. Step 1 just gets you started - it need not be remotely related to the final outcome.

That's actually one of the other designs I've been working on, it's not polished enough to show off yet though. I'll probably produce about 3 or 4 unique designs with multiple colour variants of each and present them to Ken next Friday. With any luck he'll like what we sees.

I am hoping that I do.
