Fantastic news Thank you for the update. News: Ken is flying out to California this week to talk to eASIC. Also this week, we will be getting a finished prototype of the Avalon board around the 23rd from an engineering firm. This firm will also be building the entire device once the board is approved and the chips arrive.
We are about a week behind on the Avalon prototypes, due to us having to get some bitcoins converted. I was dragging my feet due to the price of bitcoin being $68 at the time. Everything is looking good for the end of August for the Avalon clones. Looks like our 20,000 chips are going to be about two weeks late from what I have read. consider posting in here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=259206.0

Its the biggest exchange it wouldn't make sense to off load a large amount anywhere else would it?
It wouldn't if you were able to withdraw funds from MtGox. Since it's not the case, as it has been widely reported, this might just freeze funds for an unknown amount of time. Correct me if I'm wrong as I may be but they said at least a week ago that USD withdrawls have resumed and regardless you have always been able to take out in Euros and convert.

MtGox withdrawal issues are not a secret. Browse a bit around the forum for this, read comments on their Twitter & Facebook page... It might just be a huge conspiracy against Gox, or they might have some issues with liquidity. Either way, I don't think it's wise for a multi million company to take such a risk. Now, they could of course try to withdraw in euro, hope it goes smoothly, and then convert in $ (losing a substantial amount of fees in the process) - or find an alternative (such as different markets http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/volumepie/, Bitcoin-OTC, etc.)

err I have done, thats kind of how I know they said over a week ago that USD withdrawls are now back. It would take a few days waiting with a token sale to see if that is the case.

Who's vote are we still waiting for on BTCT and why is there such a delay? Is it going to get approved by the end of the month for certain?
Any of those lucky people who have to have 10 shares of LTC-GLOBAL which is roughly US$9,500 for 10 shares. There's quite a few people but some of them are microshare groups that vote on securities as a collective agreement of yes/no.

Just letting everyone know that I've written 2 call options on BTCT for 1000 shares each that are actually reasonable (not gimme free money - everyone else is charging like 10x current share prices either in premium or strike price).
For 40% of the current price of shares, you can bet on the shares increasing to 2.2x current prices or more. (CALL #1763)
For 70% of the current price, you can bet on shares increasing to 2x current prices or more. (CALL #1765)

People have also asked quite a few times if you are using Mt. Gox. Ken, are you using Mt. Gox? +1 The withdrawal dealy mtgox users are experiencing could be a serious issue

Hello all,
I've been following this thread since around page 45 a couple days ago. I'll toss my 2 cents in.
One, It's a good idea Ken doesn't tell us what exchange he is using as that could open him up to hackers going after his account or prince manipulation on the given exchange.
Two, I'm glad we have some very sensible people posting in here. Props to vbs, street 2.0, ffssixtynine, and others. I hope you guys get into advisory positions of some sort.
Three, As for the share walls, I agree it can definitely be done better. It's been said that up to 10,000,000 shares will be issued as part of the IPO, now I can see that there must be some sort of divide of these shares between bitfunder and BTCT.co. And since it's only listed on bitfunder at this time pending the approval of the new 'Activemining' asset on BTCT.co I can understand why Ken can't just do a great big IPO and be done with it. He has to keep some IPO shares in reserve for conversion demand on BTCT.co (from AMC->ActM). Does this make sense? Am I right about this? Just trying to understand as I've seen several posts about IPO shares already being sold on BTC-TC even though ActM isn't listed yet.
Four, I'm glad Ken finds time for this thread, but I'm even happier that soon he won't have to and we'll have board members to handle it, personally it takes me almost as long to read a page as it takes for another to be created.
Five, I'm not sure if this is possible, but it would be very nice to offer an automatic reinvestment of dividends option (on the exchanges?). So that dividends are paid in additional shares and not BTC, but with the current market tech and low volumes this could be abused if it was just done as a market order. Hmmmm...
Six, from bitfunder: Activemining Shares Issued 5,600,815 previously it was 6,176,329. Why is this number going DOWN? I don't get it.
Thanks for reading!

BTCT has an option to re-invest dividends with a maximum cost-per-share you can set. Not sure about BitFunder though.

Same for BitFunder although I think someone mentioned that such option was not working that well. Anyone else can confirm that?

I was talking to Ken this morning about outstanding shares. I believe that he was doing some clean-up. This address has been removed: 486,710 16yTynjmSe5bsRGykDaaCL5bm2pxiEfcqA

I have cleaned up the shares, and de-issued those that are not needed at this time. I believe this is where we are with the BTC-TC shares added in: 9,877,461
