661  Economy / Gambling / Re: PonziCoin.co | 120% Hybrid Ponzi-Style Game | Automated | Escrow Protected on: March 14, 2014, 09:14:00 PM
May I suggest allowing for 0 confirmation transactions, similar to luckyb.it. When I played there, I sent at 13:56 and got my payout at 14:04, without including a transaction fee.
Waiting for confirmations slows down the game.

Is .0001 a recommended fee for getting your transaction confirmed faster?

665  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: GPU's lifespan before they die on: March 13, 2014, 03:31:31 AM
I had been using my GTX 260 since late October 2011 to mine up until a few months ago. I now use it to mine litecoins instead. Temps have hit as high as 96C sometimes, but averaging mid to high 80s usually. And it's still running like a fucking champ. I'm honestly just waiting for it to die so I can get a new one, but so far it hasn't yet. Cheesy

And yes, 96 celsius, not fahrenheit.
666  Economy / Gambling / Re: PonziCoin.co | 120% Hybrid Ponzi-Style Game | Automated | Escrow Reserve on: March 12, 2014, 04:52:20 PM
Will the escrow wallet be kept in cold storage? Stated differently: what are the chances the escrow account can be compromised?

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Well I won't tell any lie, It's not a Fully offline wallet but I am providing escrow services from different desktop which I have bought for just for escrow purpose (I only use that system to check and release coins) I can take guarantee of security, If my system got compromised and anything happened to these bitcoins due to malware or hacker, I will return Bitcoins from my pocket.

Does the X-1 come plug and play ready to mine, or do we need to buy anything additional?
Plug and play mine.

The fact that Vort has had two separate chances of making off with a good deal of btc and hasn't isn't proof that he won't do it in the future. It makes it less likely, yes, but you can't prove that he won't do it. Even if he doesn't intend on it, someone could happen where he doesn't have internet access anymore and it looks like he ran, or god forbid something worse (hospitalization, death, etc). The point still remains that people's coins are entrusted with a central person instead of decentralized - how bitcoin is meant to be. I'd be more confident in depositing in future games if there was some sort of insurance policy/fail safe. That's one thing bitcoin is still lacking on a grand scale.

Not to sound negative or anything, but how do we know Vort won't run for real in the future? There should be some sort of insurance policy for the players. Example: vort provides his personally identifiable information to someone like theymos or John K for vetting purposes, and they hold on to that info in case vort needs to be hunted down for running. And if he has no intention of running, then there should be no problem.

The steps I have taken to secure my privacy have been taken for a reason. And no offence, to either of the two above mentioned users, but I dont know them, I wouldnt give my personally details out to someone on the street, so I wouldn’t do it to someone on the internet either.

Whilst I appreciate the shit storm this has caused, I could see it going two different ways which would have been much worse;
1) The user attempting to gain access to my server could have been successful and made away with all your coins
2) It could have actually been a scam and I ran away with the coins

Luckily neither of those happened, the majority of players have been repaid (I'm working on the remaining few) and I'm online tonight to take any flack that is thrown my way.
What's the reason?

I saw this on Reddit.  Very interesting.  Like a sadistic form of gambling...

It sucks to lose a bet, but I don't see how anyone here was "scammed."  This was a well-advertised Ponzi scheme that paid out more than it took in, until it collapsed.  Hopefully it was at least educational.

Did you think paying out 20% per round would be sustainable?

It was sustainable because the people who paid towards the end of a round would not get their money back

No problem. Could you address the other points I raised in the subsequent PMs when you have time?
Thanks

I respectfully ask you to please tell us when the old database will be merged.

Thank you.

When im comfortable its ready to be. We have other website issues at the moment that have to be resolved first. The worst case senario is we have the old database loaded up into UPS worldship already so orders can be shipped on time.

It really doesn't make much sense... he goes through all the trouble of setting up these sites, completes 6 rounds successfully, handling 200+ btc, then decides to scam on the 7th round and only made ~10btc. Just doesn't add up.
678  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: ★ PonziCoin ★ 120% Profit ★ 200% for the last deposit in every round! on: March 09, 2014, 10:47:45 PM
Shit.. good thing I didn't do this. I was planning on it but then when I noticed I had missed the start of the round by 30 minutes, I checked the site and saw that no one had received payouts, and now it looks like the guy ran with the money. Wow...

So what's the status with the old database being merged? :|

Because the database has been a gigantic pain in the ass. I have 2 programmers working on it, and if they dont have a solution by friday I will be making them do it by hand.
So will this be done manually? ETA?

Bump
Bump.
This is getting really old.
